People are going to gaslight you and act like it happens with every killer but this has been fixed in the PTB and should happen far less.

Getting hit further away than you should happens with every killer on ping wesker dash is just so fast it makes the issue look worse. The killer is getting old information compared to the survivor on low ping and the killer's information is trusted for the most part. Super high ping basically bypasses pallet stuns since on your screen when you swing and hit the survivor the hit goes through before on your end the pallet being dropped reaches you (speculation). If you've seen killers vpn they basically teleport through the pallet hit you and then get teleported back and sometimes get stunned sometimes not.

  • It was super broken since you could add some range to your power and on a lot of maps guarantee stopping the cube before it's solved

  • A game that relies on teamwork with 3 random strangers is not going to be that enjoyable it's the same in every game.

  • Are people this mad about special events? It's just as cheesy as snowmen used to be.

  • Nurse players would just stack more gen slowdown considering m1 perks are no longer an option and now aura reading would be gone

  • Roll back has an issue because if the killer has high ping on their screen they don't even see the pallet dropped yet so there isn't even a chance for them to get stunned. There is also the fact that if the killer is right on top of you and insta swings as the pallet animation starts he doesn't get stunned yet.

  • David is just not an insanely popular survivor he takes up almost your entire screen and is very loud

  • If you're not enjoying killer you might want to play survivor or play another game. DBD is finally reaching the closest we've been to balanced especially for the average killer a lot of pain points have been addressed for both sides that make the game frustrating at times.

Hello, I would like to have some help, since the update not only I don't see the G-Sync icon anymore while the game is in full screen but I'm blocked at 62 FPS, my G-sync is not activated yet in full screen in the settings and I'm blocked at 62 FPS the file GameUserSettings. ini file is like before, nothing to change, I changed 0.000000 by 120.000000, the game ignores the settings changed in the file whether it is for anything, and the update is the main factor so it is necessarily related. Can you help me it's very annoying to have to play with reduced performance. Thanks in advance.

Ok so they made an entirely new folder for your configs in appdata you have to rename your old folder to the name of the new folder and delete the newer one!

  • The game is basically unplayable for people like me that suffer from nausea/headaches playing at low framerates I also thought it was the settings reset messing my config but after changing it my fps is still locked

I main Nurse and the person you’re responding to is right. You choose not to learn.

There is nothing to learn I know how to vs nurse and play as her I have over 1.5k hours on nurse and 2k on survivor this has nothing to do with any type of "counterplay" this is about nurse being too strong with m1 perks and her losing basic attacks but getting one of her strongest m1 perks back as an addon AND the new medkit nerfs. Solo queue survivors can't realistically deal with the new tag pressure nurse can bring with medkits being a 30s heal.

Okay, so the game isn't actually Survivor-sided, it's hypothetically Survivor-sided

More like if it's both sides are evenly matched skill wise survivors win majority on majority of maps vs majority of killers but good luck finding that in solo queue

  • @jamally093 said:

I get there's the strategic camping you know a survivor is near by so you sorta stay near the hook your moving around ready to attack. Then there's camping just sitting there not moving all match. BHVR wanted to prevent slugging by making Unbreakable base-kit it flopped because of the finishing mori well try testing something that removes camping and not the good kind like I don't know if the killer stands still infront of a hook for more then a minute or something they I don't can't use their power or just something that forces the killer to move and actually do something that isn't standing there. Camping is boring as survivor because of the fact your not doing anything still useful since your wasting the killer's time at least but still boring and I seriously don't get why killers do it in the first place.

Removing camping doesn't really work with how the gameplay is designed and most anti camping changes could be abused

  • I could use lethal to start a chase early that might last a long time either way because of RNG while survivors do gens or you can find survivors quick anyway since spawns are pretty obvious while corrupt makes sure I have a 3gen untouched end of chase

    1. BHVR releases changes that are generally an improvement to the game
    2. Survivors throw a tantrum and dc over nothing
    3. Adaptation
    4. repeat
  • Amulet is an extra 3.5s which is pretty nuts and increases recharge rate by 70%

Talisman is an extra 1s with and 20% increase to recharge

  • I'm talking about hypotheticals with competent survivors in average solo queue match killer will have advantage with how relaxed matchmaker nowadays

  • @TonyXSplash said:

The Spirit is heavily reliant on her power because her base movement speed is too slow! The Spirit cannot mind game pallets with a 4.4m/s. So instead make her power recharge quicker. 15 seconds is way too much since survivors can pre drop a pallet and you have no choice but to stop Phasing and break the pallet and then wait another 15 seconds to use her power again.

The kill rate you see on spirit is literally because people only run MDR and Yakuyoke and add ons should not give too much power to the killer.

Please reduce her power recharge time.

Maybe from 15 seconds to 10 seconds?

Only if spirit didn't have the most busted addons in the game with duration that ALSO increases recharge rate better than most of her recharge addons. Spirit needs nerfs/reworks more than anything else specifically to most of her addons. They can increase basekit for sure after doing so.

You don't need callouts to mindgame her or even be in a SWF. Mind gaming a nurse just takes the player's own personal skills and not a team.

Her biggest weakness is guessing where the Survivor will go in a chase and if the Survivor does a common route and don't change it up then she will easily get a down. If the Survivor makes random changes when she is "blind" to where the Survivor is then looping her is easier and will aid in a escape.

Do you play nurse at all? You can't mindgame a nurse that just zones you and safety blinks and with recharge being gone there is very little incentive to go for risky blinks with the full cooldown. Good nurses don't go for blind guesses they zone you and then get their guaranteed tag. Unless you're on some of the few maps where there so many LOS blockers you can't ever realistically get vision without burning blinks on nothing the chase should be very quick.

  • Killer has been the stepping stool of survivors for years besides blight/nurse it's only recently that they're giving killers some love.

  • @Pulsar said:

    ???

The game was at its most Killer-sided directly after 6.1.0

Undisputably the most Killer-sided it's ever been.

Game is still survivor sided besides top killers w/ best addons on specific maps

  • @NothingThere said:

If people get tagged that fast, that’s their fault for not mindgaming better.

Not every is a 4 person comp swf doing clock callouts on where the nurse is going. 80% of situations nurse is going to be guaranteed a tag in 15-20 seconds if they're competent if the map isn't 99% LOS blockers

  • Nurse will be nurse, but giving her a sloppy addon when it was one of the best m1 perks on her is baffling. Medkits were the only way to cope with nurse in solo queue since she gets tags so quick and now you could have 1-2 people go down by the time you get a chance to heal.

  • Well with the window open and the random door open + the new longer insanely safe tile inside it was insanely busted on PTB and I still think it's pretty strong, but the window being gone means you don't get insane value chaining everything into it.

Question: Should there be parenthesis for everything that is not the # of charges?

For your examples, what if we combine them? Is the correct equation the following?

    16/(1*(1+0.5)*(1-0.33)) = 15.92

Thus, Botany Knowledge + Self Care = standard heal?

Self care add a negative modifier that brings you down to a speed of 0.35c/s which is independent of the medkit speeds

    16 / (1.5 * 0.35) = ~30.5s

  • As long as bodyblocking doesn't keep the player stuck infinitely or deny game progression like you mention blocking the only way to unhook then it's fair

  • The source for 3 genning post could be mean multiple things and mentions stalling with madness 3 specifically which completely stops your ability to repair which is most likely why it's brought up because the survivors can't actually progress their objective. "Only downing and slugging them when they refuse to move" is not the same as hitting people who touch gens/slugging them. Taking a chase out of your 3 gen is just bad gameplay you shouldn't be overcommitting and with slugging you will eventually die. Furthermore if the killer is refusing to commit to chases etc you can literally just get 3-4 survivors to rotate in to each work on the gens and just play it slow and safe by preleaving the killer will eventually just lose they cannot be in 3 places at once. It's not exciting or fun, but it is not some unwinnable situation.

  • "The one thing survivors had that was unique was dead hard"

Meanwhile me seeing 2-3 DH pretty often now that people have realized it wasn't a massive nerf

  • mobility not locked behind a 100 second cooldown & actual anti loop I don't see it

  • I think the cheating situation is 20 times worse because their dedicated servers aren't verifying any player actions it's insane what cheaters can do. If they actually verified everything cheaters would be left with very little.

  • Hook camping is a hard thing to really deal with the way the game works you can't simply make hook camping impossible the latest update is the furthest they've gone to give survivors an option to make hook camping pretty ineffective via reassurance. The game just doesn't function properly without tunneling/camping/slugging sadly I really wish they would redesign elements of the game so it was more about chase than just boring macro.

  • What is there to discuss? Person goes on a rant flexing their 15k tiktok likes (😮), states that killers bm and 4k when you have 2-3 useless teammates, and complains about tunneling. All things/topics that have been obvious gameplay issues for years and recited many times.

  • @Babz said:

    Hi,

I don't usually like to complain because I understand that being a developer for a game is a lot of work and effort to cater to everybody and everything that people want. However, being (most of the time) a soloq/2man survivor player, I can't play this game anymore. I have 2k hours, own a tiktok with over 15k likes and a Twitch channel just because of DBD, yet the game has grown to a state where it makes me feel 10x worse after playing than it did beforehand.

Killers are tunnelling all the time, I see the same few killers every single game and survivors just can't compete with all the stuff killers have these days. I don't necessarily blame killers for playing strong killers (because those like Pig, Ghostface etc are just boringly weak).

However I played 7 matches today with my friend, and we both have over 2k hours. ALL of those matches the killer got 4 kills and mostly ended by hitting on hook and nodding. I don't go around clicking my flashlight at them, I do gens and save when I need to, and I can loop the killer for a good few minutes, yet even then the match ends at 1/2 gens with all being dead.

I don't appreciate the excuse 'just get good' because I can loop and I can be useful during matches; with 2k hours of course I'm going to have some idea of how to do that. But nowadays, when a killer even just gets looped, they take it as a personal offence and tunnel you out and hit/nod at you. It's tiring and sad because I used to enjoy this game on both sides (I still agree that killers should have gotten the buff they did in the past), but now playing survivor against these killers just feels so punishing and leaves you feeling like there's no chance to win at all.

I'm going to stop playing because this game just feels like it's at a point where its stale and more toxic than ever. Thanks for reading and again, sorry that this post had to be so whiney and complainative, but I just had to say my opinion and viewpoint before I left. <33

    ok

  • Addons seem like a product of the old grind of dbd. They throw in variety or used to since it was pretty rare to actually have access to the strongest addons/people didn't really know what was best anyways.

  • Some individual killers need buffs or complete reworks honestly. Maps have been the biggest concern though the outcome of a game shouldn't be based purely on if you get a fair map or not.

  • It's better than before, but I'd barely consider it meta besides 2-3 killers that you'd actually drop a slowdown to run it on.

In this context it's okay, but if the killer decides not to tunnel you the build is wasted IMO.

I just don't understand this line of thinking. DS wasn't terrible just because you didn't get tunneled every game because when you did get tunneled that chase could mean multiple gens pop while the killer gets nothing in return. I'd barely call a generic strong anti tunneling perk & a good healing perk a build. Renewal can only be "wasted" if you never heal someone or the killer hits through BT which you can run SB to help make the chances of them doing so before it procs low.

  • @Flimflam said:

Because it's made me not want to play the game anymore. I'm not even T-bagging or clicking killers in my games and I'm regularly getting bled out/hit on hook/camped simply for playing the game well. Like holy hell I'm sorry I didn't fall for your garbage mindgame that I've seen 1000 times before or got a pallet stun on you. Don't take it so personally.

Killers essentially being able to force a person to not be able to play the game for over half the length of time a lot of games last is unacceptable and makes for a regularly agonizing experience.

"But what about SWF/clicky/T-bag squads!" Yes, I agree BM on both sides needs to be addressed but in the case of survivors inflicting BM on a killer the worst case scenario is you get a 4 stack that knows how to abuse double locker setups. In this scenario you need a well coordinated group of 4 people and multiple of them need to not screw up the timing. Or hope that the killer isn't running lightborne.

Killers have the ability to BM in every single winning game that they play and it takes 0 effort to do so. 4k'ing a soloQ team, bleeding out and nodding at the one player that can actually play the game and didn't get 2 tapped in a chase is way more common of a scenario not even counting the other ridiculously boring crap like LF facecamping.

Is there just some magic region/time zone where killers somehow bleed people out every other match? At most I experience some nice hook slaps, but it's not the end of the world. I agree bleeding out 4 people is annoying though and there needs to be a concede or a quicker way to force bleed out. At least that actually has a realistic end as just waiting 4 minutes meanwhile locker save players you're playing a 10-15 min match hoping they get bored or somehow mess up the timing they practice every game. You shouldn't have to run lightborn to counter a stalling mechanic that doesn't progress the objective at all.

  • We already know they can see at least killer killrates at different ranges considering a dev has stated nurse performs better at higher ranges wouldn't hurt them to be honest with how killers perform at vague ranges.

  • A very strong perk atm that apparently needs 10 buffs to be useful

  • Don't greed new DH pretty simple. It may have been nerfed yet it's still in the top 2-3 exhaustion perks in my opinion. You completely counter ranged killers. There is also still the mental aspect of the perk because if you lunge at this pallet you may hit the survivor, but if they have DH they just saved a god pallet and gained a third health state. DH still has to be respected a bit, but extremely risky now at vaults with some potential to burn DH and still drop a pallet in time.

  • It's a boring and relatively weak strat compared to what other killers can get just by chasing with better anti loop. It also heavily relies on bad communication aka solo queue to really shine with an iri. I don't think it's insanely overpowered, but I would prefer them buffing other parts of her kit instead of encouraging gameplay that actually wants you to be condemned irl.

He feels way too oppressive in a chase, especially when he zones you and then hits you with a grab that throws you in a direction where you're forced to run past him. It's impossible not to go down because you take so long to get up, his recovery is finished and he's hitting you again. And then I really also don't like how infections work. Especially if he wants to tunnel, you're toast. You're dead if you're fully infected, but if you spray, he gets free tracking. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

DBD players figuring out what happens when zoning killers zone you effectively (You go down quickly). Don't run loops in a way that let's him zone edge map with throws it's the equivalent of pathing into a corner after taking a hit from huntress.

that not sandbagging it someone who buy the game and using a perk that was given to them

no one got a right to treat other like crap for using a perk if it was that bad it wouldn't be in the game.

people have the right to use which ever perk someone want to use.

btw if used right it help near end of the game

I never used the perk but how people are acting in this thread I may start using the perk for the hell of it now

see what you started I hope more use it.

"if it was that bad it wouldn't be in the game."

Say hello to Claustrophobia, beast of prey, blood hound, huntress lullaby, third seal, predator, zanshin tactics, territorial imperative, unrelenting, and the majority of survivor perks.

"btw if used right it help near end of the game"

It has a chance to get value at the end of the game, but can hinder your ability to reach the end game. Use no one left behind if you want faster heals endgame while also helping get someone out the gate.

Max MMR you clearly don't know how the mmr system works it's soft capped at 1600 meaning a good portion of the player base is "max mmr". It's basically a rng lotto game unless you're at the bottom % of players.

They had 4 BNP's, full SWF.

People have told me for a while that they don't believe I have streaked 1000 games with this build, however, I have. I am trying to break that currently.

This build is a very direct counter to the current meta in dead by daylight, I have streaked way too many games with this build, and it completely makes the game unplayable. Below is the playstyle to the best of my ability explained.

Discordance acts as an early game pressure tool, with franklins and jolt it makes a really deadly combo for an early infectious freight. Discordance later in the game acts as an information perk, as shown in the video. Being able to know exactly where survivors will be running and where they are going.

Franklins can be in reality swapped out for anything, but with the current toolbox meta in the highest MMR and people not running a ton of boons, healing has become a medkit problem for most survivors. Running Franklins is a VERY good option on high mobility killers currently if you can play around it. Franklins can be swapped out for almost ANYTHING you want if they don't bring items, agitation for faster hooks and better pressure, knockout to be an #########, devour hope if you want to never get value, things like that.

For this build to work you really must understand how chases work and the concept of hook prioritization and playing around with objectives and zoning. You want to make the survivors play the game how you want to.

Fearmonger is the last thing that ties this entire build together, if you use fearmonger correctly and abuse the blindness effect and if you know where people are on the map you can catch them by surprise. In solo queue, it inadvertently causes a slowdown effect because they MUST get off the gen if they want that info. Making it stronger than any other slowdown in the game in solo queue, especially with everyone running windows of opportunity. This build completely relies on you as a player to end chases quickly, and most of the time ending the game in seconds.

I have been running this build for a while now, and it still counters mostly everything. People don't believe it, however.

Anyway, hope some of you give this build a try. It is an absolute stomp fest.

Any questions in the thread I would love to answer below, please nerf this killer I haven't had fun since 2017

How many times are you going to push this mediocre build onto the forums with gameplay against robots
