Reassurance is insanely strong it's just being held back by solo queue lack of info. I think the distance should be extended though I had someone camping a hook on rpd and abusing the entrance at the front gate to prevent me from proccing it on the surv.
-
Even "competitive" players have trouble calling out eruption especially since there are so many variables going on with specific killers.

Well, I obviously do know how killers HEAR survivors. I've been playing the game for 4+ years, killer and surv (surv main though). I am talking here about more than just detecting survs. Please explain how a killer can HEAR a survivor across the whole map?
As for killer perks, yes I'm completely familiar with each of them. And they can't explain what I'm experiencing.
As for lucky killers, yes, I know that too.
You're not wanting to understand what I'm writing. I'm not complaining about killers being good, or winning more. I'm observing killers playing 100% PERFECT games. They never patrol, they never go hunting, they are just going directly to a surv REGARDLESS of where they are on the map, down them, hang them, move on to next surv with PERFECT accuracy. Repeat, PERFECT. They never put a foot wrong. Games are over in literally less than 5 minutes. Yes I've experienced short games before, but only when survs are being idiots. I can accept that, always have. But there is something else going on here.
I was a rank 1 player nearly every season under the old scheme, and I'm iridescent 1 now for what that's worth (not much). I have never seen killers play so consistently perfectly as I am now.
I do use the report method but we all know that doesn't count for anything. Yes I'm venting because unless something is done the game will get die. I could upload videos but in isolation people will always make excuses, as they are here - any single game in isolation could be written off as "lucky killer". It's the sheer perfection of the way they play and the frequency it's happening that is telling.
Yes I've read "all the ways people tell me ways to find survivors without cheating", and I'm totally familiar with them, I am not a noob at this game. So yes, after all of that, I am pretty certain they are hacking.
It's much more noticeable now in the second half of the season as the player ranks are being sorted out, same experience as last month when I first mentioned it. This is probably because all the cheating killers are now top ranked so my incidence of being paired with them is significantly greater. I didn't notice it anything like as much after the season reset.
Play surv and get to Iridescent level. I guarantee you'll experience it.
You do know you can almost 100% predict survivor spawns with enough practice and good macro/gamesense will let you aproximate what people are doing and were they are at. It's also possible to straight up hear survivor breathing too depending on character.
It's funny you mention iridescent too as if that actually matters at all. Grade means absolutely NOTHING and mmr is so jank that it's likely for you to get 2 brand new players while being a trillion mmr there is a softcap that means average players can technically be high mmr in terms of the matchmaking system.

Pretty sure this is a bug with all killers sometimes addons you bring in don't show up and you need to restart your game.

Funny enough BNP skillchecks give hyper focus

Its immpossible to hit every great skillcheck on gen no matter how good are you. Thats the issue with the perk. Its just poorly desgined in general.
You don't need to that's the thing run stakeout and if you can hit greats semi consistently you will crush a gen.

As long as I have fun in the match, they can do whatever they want. Maybe for you it's a little stressful since you have a competitive mind, I can understand that. But not everyone is a comp player.
You don't have to have a competitive mindset to mindlessly use the strong windows and pallets on the map. I've been avoiding playing killer just because I know 80% of the time it's just RPD. I've escaped 8/12 of the matches I've played on the new rpd with a duo queue it's just dumb.

The loops got much weaker and the number of god pallets was reduced from the original map due to the map losing 33% of its size and the hallway being widened, I admit I am having trouble with the broken walls and blocked pathways but it is entirely my own fault as the player relying on my memory of the previous design and it would be the players duty to play the map enough to visually map out the new design of the map.
RPD was never killer or survivor sided, it was sided to the player with the most information on the map due to its static spawns, right now the map is more killer sided with the size decrease and several god loops being pulverized literally.
They made some of the weakest loops on the game weaker while adding more god pallet/chase ending pallets you can predrop. You also get library & the outside area while also having the helicopter area it really didn't get much smaller.

@Bot_Salvo88 said:
You just need to learn the map. As killer, I had very fun mindgames there. I let a survivor go one way and, thanks to the rework, I can predict where they go and gain a hit.
Please offer this map as killer because it's literally the freest map in the game with how many strong chaining loops are open. You can run killers forever and predrop pallets that make it practically an infinite with strong windows.
-
I feel like it's stronger than the older rpd. There are a lot of loops you can chain together and the practically death trap pallets are full on loops. Some practically chase ending god pallets too near vaults as well.
-
Walkie talkie is a straight downgrade from basekit tbh you simply won't be able to use his power at loops. Unicorn is pretty good since it let's him play around tiles that are long better with his first dash since he can actually reach the end of them.
-
@buffcoyote said:
I disagree, quite the opposite. His hitbox is just fine (the survivor in me is saying a little too fine, haha). From the few matches I've played, Wesker killers nearly always land successful hits when I am fast vaulting without Resilience. His M1 attack also appears sufficient, doesn't feel like an overreach. Perhaps you just need more practice with him.
"Practice", His power might as well be skinny because his hitbox is insanely bad. Can you tell me how practice mattered in these clips?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFI5zUNgUO0 -
For survivor the only real difference is misinputs occasionally when trying to drop pallets/vaults and it's easier to be precise as killer on KB&M
-
Her best addons are Thick tar, festering carrion, thorny nest, o grief o lover, and severed hands. Garden of rot is alright I guess as well.
If you want exclusively chase/bird snipe addons use thick tar + festering carrion
-
Alright depending on the map & especially when combined with using an exhaustion after being hit. Very strong against nurse/spirit and blight some
-
Her biggest problem atm is that TV's simply aren't good enough.
How did they think giving her a 100 second cooldown on a tv after use was a good idea? It almost feels like freddy has more map presence than her once a few tv's are on cooldown.

No, it was that it gave both survivors an effect, but it would be nice to have a perk so that the rescuer would be able to get endurance, instead of the rescued, then the killer would have a choice
With basekit bt everyone would just dedicate a perk slot to it and it would encourage you to just tunnel the person unhooked.
-
Too many crutch addons other than that very well designed killer
-
From what I can tell it's an issue with your internet or I'm assuming it is because my internet is sketchy and if it takes too long to load the archives and I back out it will continue to throw the error.
-
Hasn't this been an issue since dredge PTB? There is another spot in the corner across from shack where it can spawn on a fence near the vault + pallet car loop.
-
Solo queue is a little too hard, but the game is finally becoming as close as you can get to balanced compared to a year or more ago. Still a few killers/perks/items/addons/maps to deal with, but I'm actually hopeful the devs will continue in the direction they're going.
-
Requires good timing and skill rather than being able to escape a bad play and it actually matters now if the killer knows you have it or not.
-
Offerings are fine besides map offerings being able to send yourself to a specific favorable realm with a build tailored around it is too strong for either side. It's very sad that some realms/maps are almost guaranteed win for killer/survivor.
-
Kicking a boon should force a cooldown (1 min sounds good?) before they can boon again and/or there should be some requirement to be able to use boons. This would allow them to be stronger since they aren't just free/infinite.
-
He needs an addon pass because he only has like 2 consistently good addons aka marvins (random nerf LOL) & broken recovery coin with I guess "decent" addons that rely on his zombies which struggle to go 5 seconds without getting stuck on thin air.

AA is 20m, why lying ?
"starstruck agi"

I'd barely call this "winning" maybe a personal victory you're basically playing to lose the game gen wise.

You can after the first time you see the nurse has starstruck. It's only a surprise the first time it happens. And even then, if you see a nurse you could just assume it's starstruck and get away from her when she gets a down. It shouldn't be that hard.
Yea let me just leave 20 seconds early to avoid instantly going down to a killer because they're running agi + starstruck. No other killer has this type of potential using starstruck/instadown perks it's ridiculously free

Depends on the map. Do that on shelter woods and don't be surprised your teammates DC. Do that on the game and nobody will notice anything
I mean you don't have to instantly drop every pallet in the map, but just play safe and drop sooner.

@Biscuits said:
I have found that the more liberal I am with pallets the more likely I am to escape. Where as the more greedy I get with pallets the more likely I am to die. I think if everyone on your team prioritized throwing pallets over getting hit you would win a lot more games.
Just something I thought of the other day.
👆️ It's the truth watch any competitive match they mostly boil down to how fast the killer can get their first hook and apply pressure. They understand that their teammates are always doing gens though so it's more reliable. If you're playing with a swf or trust your teammates drop as many pallets as needed and you will win. You only have 2 health states & 3 hook states, but there are a LOT of pallets.

I don't think this is as important as it used to be. New killer players are the only ones who don't try the "moonwalk" into a pallet. Some will learn after you bait them once, twice, even three times and then they'll start playing and stop dancing. There's still some players that are so terrified of pallets they'll sit there and pause every time.
Unless the killer has horrendous ping you just put yourself barely in range of the pallet & watch the corner if the killer doesn't come around that corner in a second or two you can just expect them to be mindgaming other side. Pallet validation makes this rather safe
-
From reading the buffs he will definitely be a low A tier contender I don't see what's wrong with his power and for weaker loops his power sucks at you can just zone, break pallet, and catch them with your power right after.
-
I mean some pallets you have to camp because of how unsafe they are I'd rather have them waste a few pallets and not give the killer a hook than go down earlier.
-
Nurse has the same lunge & hitbox as any other killer and blight has as specialized hitbox at the start of his swing so he can actually hit you instead of the survivor getting a free dodge

This is were people get it wrong. The 1 shouldn't be stronger than the 4. The 1 should be on the same level as the 4. If the 1 is stronger than that's an imbalanced game. This notion that the 1 should be stronger needs to stop.
Probably meant the 4 as stronger than each individual

The killers I've seen play quite viciously following DCs or early hook deaths (clear skill failures). And I do not believe this is anomalous behavior. I'm unsympathetic towards killers who lament long queue times for this reason.
It's boring to farm for 15 minutes when you can end the game and let people actually play the next match.
-
It's impossible to get an "unsafe unhook" unless you're against bubba since it's 10 seconds which is exactly when an unhook is considered safe. You're also forgetting you have 10 seconds of 10% haste which means you're as fast as 110% and 115% are barely catching up with you that is enough time to start looping etc before going down.
-
With new BT you can guarantee someone gets to the exit gates unless you're against bubba/nurse/blight so it's not impossible. Reassurance will let you pause the timer as well while you wait for another teammate to double save.
-
An anti camping perk that gives teammates kinship is now a killer perk? Without kindred you wouldn't even know if a teammate is getting camped now you can at least pause it and go back to your gens.

First Stack is 6%, second is 5%, third is 4%, last is 3%, for a total of 18%.
The first 2 Stacks should be more meaningful than the last 2
I had the same idea make it less impactful at the higher end so killers that can't get easy tags benefit, but strong chase killers and plague/legion don't get much out of it.
There is the possibility thana was changed to make GOP + Thana less oppressive since you can no longer get GOP & 15% of thana going on now. It would make sense with thana only being usable on the killers people think were being targeted with the nerf.
-
My solo queue teammates can barely understand drop pallet & hold m1 on gens I'm good
-
Killers aren't allowed situational awareness because of nurse w/ starstruck*
You can't just "run away" from a nurse with starstruck agi if you're in ~30m you are at risk of instantly going down ignoring range.

This is an overreaction. While BT can last getting up to the stairs, you still aren't out of danger and if you have nothing to use nearby you really aren't getting far before getting put back into the basement.
Basement is still good at what it does, being a strong location to hook survivors in.
Exaggerating a little bit, but it generally won't be worth spending a good chunk of time traveling to basement for a risky hook a lot of the time. If they have actual BT from the perk itself that's another beast.

@Astrian said:
In 6.2.0, we will be increasing the duration of the Haste & Endurance effects to 10 seconds. Additionally, we’ll be increasing the Haste effect to 10% increased speed (from 7%).
They did it boys, and much more generous than I would've given.
Yea now basement is pointless even hooking in because no matter what they get to safety
-
Survivors can now walk out the exit gate free if they get unhooked w/ BT unless you're one of the strongest killers seems fair.
-
@JHondo said:
I like how so many players were just doom and gloom about the 6.1.0 update and BHVR kept saying "we're keeping a close eye on the changes" yet players still complained constantly like it's the end of the world. But now BHVR is actually doing what they said they'd do, kept an eye on updates and adjusting as needed.
Average dbd player doesn't do much thinking at all you can see someone spamming about reverting MoM on the same tweet announcing these changes
-
It sounds nice, but I didn't notice any mention of the perk itself. Does this mean you get 20 seconds of endurance & haste? Seems a little too strong now if that's the case 15 seconds was very strong already.
-
Eruption is pretty hard to time even with coordinated groups depending on the killer unless you get off super early
-
Yes please nerf the killer who got buffed and instantly nerfed while being considered the top 8 worst killers
