The poll clarified it and I assumed people would read that post.
Free perks= dwight , jake, meg, claudette, bill, nea, trapper , wraith, billy, nurse huntress, and all other "free characters" which require no purchase.
Problem is: On PC the free characters are different to those on console.

pre iri head nerf people suggested it be like slingers iri where you need to hit the hatchet over a certain range (i think 15m was the most popular idea) to get the insta down, and the hatchet count be untouched, so it was an addon that needed skill to get value. i think they should make it more like that
That but that if your hatchet hits that far and does double damage you have to reload, regardless of how many hatchets you had.

As someone who has endured the infitites on old Haddonfield because of old Blanced Landing (reduced stagger even when exhausted) :
NO.

I have the same problem with NWO, but not because it makes it almost impossible to get out, but that is the only endgame perk that is active besides NOED.
Either Rancor, NWO, NOED, Remember Me, Adrenaline and Hope (and those I forgot) ALL trigger when EGC starts or they don't. Nothing in between.
I still can't get over the fact that the Devs nerfed Remember Me from 30s to this laughable state (16s I believe) when EGC was introduced but then they added NWO which blocks the exit for 60s....
-
Yeah, I hope you can fix that for christmas and lunar new year (although christmas is easier because it's just the cracker).

Title. Earlier this year, we made a big improvement to event bloodwebs by guaranteeing level 50 bloodwebs would have at least one of each event item in them. It was really great and expedited the whole experience of collecting event stuff massively, especially on survivors who always have more unique items to gather.
Issue is, the new prestige system obsoleted that, because you only get the permanent level 50 bloodwebs at P100 and not prestiging isn't an option.
I'm getting many bloodwebs that don't contain event items at all. Levels 1-15 are duds more often than not, and past then, I'm still getting webs that don't contain any event nodes. And when they do, hunting down specific items is a pain. I literally just sank a whole prestige level into Haddie trying to get a single broken bulb addon.
I think it took the Devs 2 years to fix this for the old prestige system.....
-
I would only show perks which are important or do it once you load in to counter lobby dodging bad perks.
Important perks could be: Deliverance, Autodidact, Renewal, Boons, Inner Healing, Adrenaline etc.

Yes, they are returning during the offering screen

The Event Tome is due to open at 12pm ET - so roughly 40 mins from now, apologies for any confusion.
That explains a LOT
-
It is very inconsistent. The survivor has to be at a certain place to a certain time for it to work.
There are also still a lot of things that need fixing as well:
- Sliding off pallets when one is dropped (very annoying)
- not getting the vault or the hit sometimes, stopping you dead in your track (this loses you games)
- not being able to vault when the pallet is in "motion" (dropping) or in use (any means necessary or vaulting). Wesker should be able to instantly vault like Legion but somehow he needs to wait until the full animation ended.
-
If you make it too fast you could just name it Boon: Speed hack.
@Gandor said:
4% speed and 8% vaulting would make it worth trying from game to game.
Right now this could be very strong only in ironworks (hard to get to boon) or paradoxically midwitch (floor difference and long route to another floor) and maaaybe the game (similiar to midwitch, but this one does not have loops - only pallets so there is no reason to stay in one area for longer time). On most maps it would be ok as the boon should at most help in 3 loops (reach of boon) making 1 of those contain the boon (very easy snuff), but boon still eating quite some time to set up.
The boon would still be quite risky, because some killers will probably not mind much or don't mind snuffing it (wesker, blight, nurse). And some maps are too large for it to be efficient (red forest outside main, whole shelter woods)
Vaultspeed could be interesting. And it would bring back a build that was lost with the nerf of Spine Chill.
-
I would at least have it as a beta feature where you can turn it off.

Not to mention, again, Legacy, Charms, and Tournament Prizes have all been directly acknowledged by BHVR at some point saying that they would remain exclusive. These are the only exclusives they haven't directly mentioned and since the full sets are coming it would make sense for BHVR to add these too.
That is true. I think they forgot they exist tbh.

Well, you see, you yourself said that there are exceptions)
Yes but these exceptions are understandable. Legacy was a hell of a grind back when the game came out, tournament rewards are what they are (there is only ONE golden panda TV shirt), creator cosmetics were limited in the first place and afaik the rights to give the codes away belong to said creators and limited cosmetics (like twitch shirts, dev cosmetics or the fog whisperer charm) are also understandable why they are exclusive.
The outfits that were given for free were cosmetics which you could only get in certain countries during a convention or during an ingame event. Back in the day there was a bug where people lost these event cosmetics (BBQ and lunar new year event 2018) and because they couldn'T really fix it, they gave these for free.
-
@FeryGEN said:
No, there must be at least some kind of encouragement for those who have been playing for a long time.
The Devs said multiple times that there won't be any cosmetics (minus charms maybe) that are completely exclusive anymore (because these or the accounts were sold for hundreds of dollars). The only exclusive stuff that still exist are limited cosmetics, tournament rewards and Legacy. Everything else is time exclusive.

Yeah I just had this too on PC, killer was either console or Windows/Epic so it is not platform related. Got no DC penalty either
Seems that as usual this last patch fixed a whole lot of bugs and introduced a whole lot of new ones lmao
(can't slam BHVR for this, it seems to happen with updates in pretty much every game).
That is basically how programming works. They even somehow got some animation desync and now Wesker has a desynced lobby animation with his tentagle again and Jeff has a popping eyeball (at least that one is fitting for Halloween).
-
I also get this sometimes but without a ban and a network error while my connection is still completely fine. If it happens when I'm in a swf, they all DC and it always looks like they and the killer dc'ed

Note: it's only a visual bug. They are still active and when they change values, you will see them for one match.

i literally said in the comment that people will abuse it, but is the only way to discourage tunnelling. if we want to fix tunneling we need to do this because good sportmanship cant be expected.
Fixing one thing by breaking others? Do you realise what you are asking about?
You say good sportsmanship is not to be expected. Then I don't understand you suggesting something that would require good sportmanship on the survivor side to begin with.
You are angry and frustrated, I understand that, but this isn't the solution the problem.
If you know a real solution to the problem, tell me, I would be glad to hear it. If not, this conversation is done from my part.

Because a skin that barely changes the character isn't very appealing in general, specially when it stops you from combining it with other pieces.
Yeah, Wesker has a superiority complex, but even then, Uroboros mutated him hard. It DID turn him into a Grotesque Monster. So yeah, it would be cooler to see something close to that instead of just some stuff in his shoulder. Also, let's not forget the Serum is not a virus. It's never completely clear what it is, but we know it comes from the Entity, an eldritch being of supernatural power, and was able to mutate even Pyramid Head, who isn't even a creature of biological origin. We have no reason to believe it wouldn't mutate Wesker.
And if the left side of his body was supposed to "belong" to Uroboros, well, it could actually have more Uroboros mutations instead of a single set of tentacles that comes from his left arm.
Then you have to ask Capcom because they have to approve it. Except the Christmas sweaters every cosmetic for the RE characters is a set. Even the cosplay ones for Felix and Feng. Yes, sets suck, but I can understand why they exist for licensed stuff or legendary skins. The ONLY thing I hate about sets is that often you could separate the weapon or the head from the rest. Why is Felix' Silver-Moon outfit (the one where he has long hair) a set? There is nothing special with. I glitched it multiple times when it was still possible and there was no clipping at all (clipping is their main reason for sets). These sets I don't understand.
It could have been that other ideas were rejected or that certain rules had to be followed. My best guess is that it should still look like Wesker, which would also explain why they didn't touch his face.
I like the skin. If you don't that's your opinion. And I think we should leave it that way.

it seems u rad nothing of what i said, if the killer is camping OTR did nothing because u get hit in the borrow time window, is not preventing tunneling or doing anything against it because deactivated due borrow time, OTR as it did on PTB should stack with Borrow Time. in that regard it was preventing tunneling, was it strong? it was, was it fair? also was, we need to discourage tunneling, however i know survivors may try to abuse it by taking a free hit for other survivors but that normally wouldnt happen and they can already do it if they manage to escape from the chase in the 80 seconds window and heal, if they 4 had it would be a nightmare i wont lie to you but that will discourage tunneling greatly and killers will be forced to chase other survivors making the game fun for everyone, even buffing DS aswell if neccesary, time has proven u cant give nothing to the other side expecting good sportmanship like when they nerfed DS to the ground not long ago, tunneling wasnt AS STRONG as today because DS imposed FEAR unless u were nurse or potentially bligt, 5 secodns stun and catching again would be 30 seconds potentially wich was the difference between winning and losing, that is why it was so strong, u had to slug... in that aspect killers could get another buff encouraging going for more hooks so they dont feel weak when gens are poping fast.
And you seem not to realize that people would exploit the hell out of endurance stacking.
You would have no chance as killer.
BTW the post was about TUNNELING, not CAMPING.
-
I thought about this perk a lot too. As a former Freddy main, I hated it after his rework, because once in the dream, the survivor had perma wallhack up till they could bite your nose. But now, it's just not good enough. Alert is much better for any killer related aura reading.
I think the biggest issues with the perk are 1) that it is pretty much automated. You can't chose when you get the information, you get it, if you want or not and 2) that it is completely useless if the killer has no aura reading and the obsession switches (which can still happen even with DS not as commonly used now).
My idea (changes are marked in bold letters):
Whenever your aura is revealed to the Killer, the Killer's aura becomes visible to you and you gain a 3/6/9% bonus to healing, repairing and cleansing speed. When looking in the Killer's direction, your aura is revealed to the Killer for 3 seconds. This perk has a cooldown of 30 seconds if you are the Obsession. If you are not the Obsession, this perk has a cooldown of 60 seconds. Increases your chances of being the Obsession.

Game is so fun for solo-q survivors. And whenever you lose, your mmr is going to down. And you are getting even more fun games. I don't know how people have fun as solo survivor.
And yes, killer was Nurse. Shocked right?
A first step would be making blink hits M2. That would at least shut down all the Starstruck, Lethal, Awakened Awareness ######### I see lately (Yes AA and Lethal still work together somehow...) Also Jolt and Sloppy would be not as present.

I wish he didn't have his glasses, but this wouldn't be possible since there are animations involving his glasses in his Mori.
Or better Blight Serum on his glasses.
Tbh I really don't understand why people are upset with the Wesker skin. He has a superiority complex and it's at least hinted that he's resistent or even immune against many viruses or other biological agents. So it is not surprising that he didn't mutate to a grotesque monster like the other killers. It shows he's still in control.
The Blight on him looks more like the plant than anything else. It even features some of its thorns as knuckle dusters.
I'm more mad about that they gave him a Blight tag (you can see a glimpse of it in his shoulder) because he would be the guy who would inject the serum himself. Just to become even more superior.
I also like how the Blight is only on his right half, leaving the Uroboros tentacle in his left hand completely unaltered. Like if half his body belongs to Blight and the other to Uroboros.
-
Licensed stuff is often a set. And yes, they could have done something to Wesker's head, but anything more that some glowing drops of Blight Serum or glowing veins would have been too much.
-
For fun? Oni, although the camera movement during his dash is weird. And I for myself can't deal with it.
For strong perks? Artist. Her gameplay is just boring though.
If you use a controller, Artist is a lot easier to control than the others.

I was tunneled out prestige 70 nurse with range at 5 gens. I went to hide in basement on death hook and she searched whole map to get me. After that she slugged rest quickly. Nurses and blights are usually biggest hard tunnelers but other killers usually switch target and play more fair way. That just show no matter how much killers will get buffed tunneling will never end until it's not easiest way to win. Taking someone out like 1-2 gens it's fine usually at that point you have multiple hooks anyway.
True Nurse and Blight players are often so sweaty.
Sometimes Wesker also tunnels but that is due to people using the vaccine wrong. They do it in his TR or don't leave afterwards.
I always try to be nice as long as the other side is. So if you chose to tbag a lot or clickyclicky, then I tunnel and camp. I keep it nice and simple: you run into me after getting unhooked or do a Gen/ totem in my face without healing or if I find you self-caring in a corner, don't complain about tunneling.
I had someone one complaining about me tunneling as Nurse when I just hooked someone else and saw them on their Plaything with BBQ.

otr deactivates if u get hit during 10 seconds window wich is extremely easy if the killer is camping or face camping, otr is good, if u manage to last (or if the killer is not face camping and oftently they are)
I know it deactivates. I use this perk since 6.1.0 and I play almost every day.
And if a killer is camping (whatever your definition of that is) few helps anyway.

i just played against a ttv streamer playing nurse, it was an open map with shack and basemet on the center, i dont kniw the name but a small map, he started chasing a kate, got 1 hook on her, and wheneve lwe saved her he proceeded to only focus her, even with 5 gens up, he killed her and started to tunnel me, hit me as soon as i was saved from hook, and didnt down me because i had basekit BT..
what do you all think about tunneling ? have you been tunneled before ?
I for myself think that tunneling (aka ignoring everyone else until that person is dead; said survivor did no conspicuous action etc) at 5 or 4 gens often shows a lack of skill. If I need to tunnel during that time to get anything done during the match then I'm clearly not that good.
I am completely fine with tunneling if gens fly or if there is only 1 or 2 of them left (or even none left). And this should never be punished.
Going for the wrong person to tunnel fan lose you matches and going for the right one can win it.
But just instantly wanting to tunnel someone out is being a bad sport. Not to mention that no average - decent nurse should need to tunnel or camp at all. YOU ARE NURSE! The single OP killer in this game.

Gen speeds... completing a gen solo in 45 seconds (hitting greats) just hurts to think about -and I suffered from a stoke so I can't do much thinking now a days... LOL-
Items need to be looked at... not saying to buff one thing and nerf another but to just look at them... they can decide what to do with them

Devs in 2016: Give DS a 5s stun.
Devs a bit later: Give DS a 4s stun.
Devs in 2019: Give DS a 3s stun, let it be affected by Enduring.
Devs a bit later: Give DS a 5s stun because 3s were not enough to get away because of the stagger effect you get when getting free. And because Enduring existed.
Devs a bit later: Remove the effect of Enduring on DS, leave the 5s.
Devs in 2022: Give DS a 3s stun, because that is clearly enough while stagger still exists and range/high mobility killers got more.

Did being silent stopped killers going for iw survs pre nerf?
Neither does now if they have otr. If they want you out you are out.
It helps in cases you don't get hit right away. In combination with SB this often helps. You can lose the killer quite well if you are completely silent. Usage of a medkit is recommended.
It works better for me than using solely DS. Maybe try to use both OTR and DS. And if you are tunneled still too much: slap DH on it. There you go.
-
First: maybe use OTR. The fact alone that you are silent stops most killers from going after you once they realise you have the perk. I also found SB to be very helpful to combat tunneling.
Not going to lie, 3s DS sucks. If you are anything with range or speed, you don't care. And even if you are Trapper, it's not a bad thing.
It's somehow funny that fist DS was 5s because Enduring effected it, then after that got removed, they nerfed to 3s because "it was enough" before realising that survivors don't get away in that time because of stagger when they get free. So they put it again to 5s ony to nerf it back to 3s.
Sometimes I wonder if the Devs read their own patch notes. 🙄

That sounds similar to the karma system in TTT.

you sound like youve never played against a tombstone myers with PWYF and the green stalking addon
You talk about the purple addon I guess? If yes, then yeah that one is too strong and should either get another requirement for the Mori (stalk is empty or hooked once) or make it that if you used the Mori, you can't get EWIII again.
If not.... Then you faced the 0.01% of Tombstone users who only use Judith's Tombstone but not infinite EWIII.
You can do it (I did it too to test stuff on the PTB), and it works quite well in some scenarios (surprised 99) but it is too rare to really complain about.
-
I really don't get what your problem is with it.
Double pink Myers needs 3 people fully stalked and J Tombstone gives you a massive - 9% movespeed debuff in EWIII making you 105% wich is instantly noticeable! And if Myers uses PWYF, you also notice that before.
One can argue that the purple addon is a bit too strong and that is right. Just make it that you can only mori once and the EWIII is gone forever.
People also seem not to understand not to feed a Mikey. What is so difficult with that? Then he will get his Tombstone at maybe 1 Gen left..
And also people don't understand what you can use to counter it: lockers, gens, totems pallets, windows, DH... All animations make it impossible to use the Tombstone on you.
And if you get infinite Tombstoned at 3 gens left, your team did something wrong.
There is nothing wrong with pink or double pink Myers.
And before you answer that I am a dirty killer main, I'm not. I play more survivor, but Wesker brought me back to play killer more lately making it almost 50/50. There you go. And no, I'm not a noob either. I play for 4 years and have 5.3k hrs.

i dont think its a mistake that he cant hit through windows, his power doesnt function like a basic m1 and therefore does not have the same reach as it. Theyd have to completely add stuff to his power custom animation and hitbox just to accommodate for this.
He CAN hit through vaults, BUT the survivor has to be right at a the middle of the vault. If they are a bit too much on your or the other side your dash doesn't do anything.
My problem is that you get lose-lose situations like back in the day when servers were new and you could not get grabs most times and you were stuck. Now they did it, that you get at least an M1 if the server rejects the grab due to latency.
Wesker's dash is very fast (14m/s), even faster than a Nurse blink (13.33m/s), which can create weird stuff with latency and makes it sometimes difficult to time tight.
The only thing I would like them to do is give Wesker's dash the same treatment as killer grabs: if I don't get the hit: let me vault (in the first cases)
This bug cost you matches.

Well, a big issue with Nurse and her recharge addons, is that it makes her gap closing beyond insane.
Current basekit Nurse, if she misses you after 2 blinks, gives survivors 3 seconds to run away per blink charge, which equals 12 meters. Nurse herself can walk towards the survivors to make this distance smaller, and moves about 2-3 meters while charging and moving during fatique, if she decides to blink then. Getting a second charge gives survivors another 12 meters for up to 24 meters away from where they used to be, while Nurse can move about 7-8 meters away from where she was. Then she uses 2 more seconds to fully charge the first blink, which is 20 meters, which gives survivors an additional 8 meters, while Nurse is able to move up to another 2 meters. Giving survivors a gained distance of 22 meters on Nurse, while Nurse can move 20 meters upon blinking(albeit in a straight line). But Nurse has a second blink, and since she is within 5 meters of you, she can quite easily blink towards the survivor and almost guarantee a hit. This is ignoring line of sight and mindgames, or assuming both players play perfectly with line of sight and mindgames. But this is exactly why Nurse, even without addons, is the apex killer of the game. Extremely powerful chase power since it ignores obstacles, while forcing survivors through obstacles(reducing their gained distance even further), and its why most Nurses used to rely on Shadowborn and Aura reading perks, before Starstruck came out.
Recharge addons tip the scale of balance immensely here, and can turn an already difficult game into a nearly impossible one, especially without comms. Her distance addons also had similar reasoning there. Both addons increased the gap that Nurse could close, while decreasing the time survivors had to think to get away, with the distance addons having the benefit on top of that, that she could blink 28 meters at the same speed as 20 meters. Meaning you cover more distance, in less time. Her blinkspeed is now capped, so she cant blink faster anymore, but her distance addons still close the gap faster(albeit much healthier than before).
Having a killer who in basekit can already go toe to toe with SWF on comms, having 2 addons that make her power 10 times harder to deal with, is a bit overkill. Hence I am actually for a lot of Nurse addons being more like Spasmodic Breath, its a completely different way of having to face Nurse, sometimes even more difficult(since Spasmodic Breath Nurse uses VERY different perks in very different ways). Because then a game against Nurse isnt going to be like "did she use double recharge addons or did she use distance addons", and its more going to be like "oh #########, what type of Nurse are we going to face?".
As for Freddy's "old" kit(oldest kit), it's mostly placed into Sadako, balanced towards modern day DBD. We've basically been begging for ancient Freddy for years already(the one where you show yourself to survivors, and then go the other way while you were invisible again), while letting him keep the ability to teleport to gens. She doesnt have the aura reading(that would be extremely OP in current day meta), but she is by far the closest you can be to ancient Freddy without being too weak.
Honestly? I was kinda pissed they gave these old mechanics to Sadako instead of Freddy. And they did not even bother to add them to him (Undetectable outside of dream)

I don’t understand why most people can’t see the correlation between gen rushing and face camping?
SWF’s load up with perks to bust out gens, bring map offerings and coordinate everything. It’s 4 v. 1. You’re not winning (if you win) because you’re skilled, you’re winning because you’re in constant communication w each other.
I am a Trapper main (and honestly I do quite well, but I constantly face tough SWF teams), yesterday I had a team bring me to Ormond. Okay I’ll make the best of it…game starts, I set down a trap..walk a short distance, put down another trap..a gen pops ALREADY. Start first chase, gen pops, down survivor, gen pops…hook survivor, gen pops…I don’t know how it’s possible..but that’s 4 gens in mere minutes. There’s 1 gen left…the game just started, why am I not going to camp the person I just hooked? 1 gen left. Game is already over. I ended up w a 3k, but it’s irrelevant. Still lost a pip. Had zero fun.
At 5 gens, camping and tunneling is completely ridiculous. Yes. But being gen rushed and camping/tunneling go hand in hand. Expecting to gen rush and have the killer give everyone their three hooks each, is highly unrealistic.
I have no problem with camping or tunneling in the scenario you described. One question though: Do you use Corrupt? If not, then you should honestly consider doing it, because it gives you some time to set up and forces Survivors to move or do nothing.

There is no correlation
Killers call generating what most times is the result of their own misplays (commonly referred to as "the game is survivor sided 😢"). And killers camp and tunnel even if the game is going clearly in their favor already
Often this may be correct, but if I see multiple toolboxes, Prove on 2 people and even 1 or 2 Hyperfocus, then I ask if that wasn't planned.

All Killers (except Nurse & Blight) need a huge buff. They will add base kit unbreakable, for Killer, they should add base kit Corrupt Intervention.
A lot of Killers are unplayable against a SWF teams, not matter what. Sometimes your chases end very fast, but still is not enough.
In future Patch Killer will not Slug (it was the best way to make pressure on the map, just 1 slugged person). Camping is nerfed, Tunneling is nerfed.
In future Killer won't be able to do anything... And the worst part of it - strong & confident (sometimes very toxic) SWF will abuse it.
I think the biggest problem is still map design. If I can get insane rng on Suffocation Pit with the complete middle interconnected (which happens frequently), I can just stand in a corner and wait for them to pop out the 5 gens. This should not happen. A basekit Corrupt would help, but it won't solve the problem.

You’ve heard of teams being too altruistic? Apparently these forums are full of survivors and low level killers. I’ve seen maybe two people with an actual understanding.
So, let me help you, when teams are overly altruistic, it usually leads to death or multiple survivors. So two of them came to rescue their Ada and got downed. The 4th survivor left, instead of trying to save either of them. So the point was, even though it was a 3k, I lost a pip and the only survivor had 17k points. Pointless game. But 95% of you don’t even understand what grn rushing is so 🤷🏻♀️
I could completely imagine that they were too altruistic. Had that myself many times and even fell in the same trap as well. Survivors who rush gens and see that the killer has only one hook will get overconfident.

I think it will come 3 weeks and 1 day after the PTB came out which will be probably the 19th. They start today with the one week of community choices, so it makes sense.
