Why did Otz have to release a video about this disgusting build?
-
Well, we can only hope they finally see how BS this perk is now that exhausted on the ground isn't going to be a thing anymore.

Right now? It is definitely bigger than Overwatch.
I mean in game complexity, not players.
-
Is DBD as big as COD and Overwatch?

The only point boils down to making sure you're in a good position, even if a Blight hits you as you're trying to enter a good position, if you get into that good position, you're going to make it rough for him.
Most the people who complain about the Ring, get caught out of position or in a bad one.
You just described the addon, it removes one of the biggest down sides to Blight, which is good, its a very rare addon for a reason and whats the issue about having a strong addon? There isn't one. Also he will only ignore the speed boost you get and catch then instantly, if you're out positioned, right?
Yes, it is a general counter to Blight to have better positioning, and this addon, doesn't increase his speed, doesn't make the rush insta down, it makes his base kit a constant if he can get the lethal rush hits, which he will only get if you counter Blight normally, the addon isn't as bad as people make it out to be if you just have to counter Blight normally to counter the addon.
What you don't get is that Blight is considered S tier for a reason: he is in control of the chase. Sure there are some places where his power sucks, but on most loops against a good Blight everything you can do is delay him by making him spend all his Tokens, and the Ring completely removes that delay.
At the end of the day it's up to the Blight player to hit you, which is a good thing, more killers should be like that, but they must have counters and Ring removes one of the few of them. That's why it's an oppressive addon on a good Blight.
Yes, purple addons should be strong, but they should never enhance that much an already very strong killer even without addons. The ideal spot for me imo is Oni, except for his pinks and browns, most of his addons provide nice and good effects without being utterly oppressive to go against.

No, that's you disregarding my whole emphasis on better positioning, if you have good positioning, the don't get hit remark makes since, because if you have better positioning, you won't get hit by the rush, not a hard concept to understand, the rush has limits.
I'll say it again, your whole post boils down to "just don't get hit". It doesn't offer a solution to why people complain about Alchemist Ring. It just makes you look silly because you probably only play using it.
It's an addon that completely removes one of the counters to Blight, which is forcing him to use all of his 5 tokens to hit you so you can get to a safe position while he's still on cooldown. With the Ring a Blight can hit you and completely disregard the speed boost survivors get when they get injured.
I know what "better positioning" is, everybody with 2 braincells knows what it is. What you're describing is just a general counter to Blight, it doesn't change the fact Alchemist Ring completely removes one of the counters to an already super strong killer in his basekit. I play Blight myself and I know how easy mode it is playing with it.
-
I just wonder why someone throwing knives would have a recoil. It's not a machine gun.
-
I want to play her, but infinite loading and DCs don't help. For some reason people still DC on the first down against her.

You didn't read fully then, the don't get hit remark is more so to put a emphasis on the better positioning point, since you won't get hit if you do have good positioning.
I read your post fully. You wrote "just don't get hit" but with extra words.
-
"Just don't get hit" is not a counter. It has the same of vibe of "just pressure gens".
-
It would be a good patch if I could even play it. Loading screen bug seriously sucks.
-
I want so much a Bloodborne chapter. It's an action RPG but it's filled with Lovecraftian elements, so it's not like it wouldn't fit DBD. I can already imagine something like Gascoigne, Gerhman or even Orphan of Kos as killers. Unfortunately it will probably never happen due to Sony.
-
Nurse and Huntress, just because these are my two mains so it's always nice to face a fellow player.
-
It depends a lot on the killer. Hag, Nurse, Spirit and Wraith play very well on it, meanwhile Blight and Huntress might as well AFK on a corner.
-
Hag, Trapper, Twins, Pig, Clown, Nemesis, Pinhead.
-
Considering opening an exit gate doesn't deactivate DS I wouldn't be surprised if this was a feature.
-
Nah, it's a crutch perk for a lot of survivors, including myself when I was still new to the game. I was running Dead Hard every match and could last decently in chase. When I took it off I realized how bad I actually was without something to give me an extra chance.
-
I think medkits shouldn't be able to heal more than 2,5 health states. Other than that I'm fine with them.
-
Bigger maps are prettier, so devs prefer going that way. It's not even that bad nowadays tbh, they used to be even worse.
-
If a killer wastes a perk slot with Franklins/Lightborn then he's far from being high MMR.

Really, what was Deathslingers kill rate?
52,05% according to the latest official stats, among the worst half of the killers: https://i.redd.it/3l9r0mviq2s71.png. Mind you the lead designer dev said himself the team aims for a 60% efficiency, so if anything he deserved buffs, but was nerfed into the ground probably because he's not "fun" to go against.
-
Freddy, Hillbilly and Deathslinger by far. Three killers gutted for absolutely no reason.

May I recommend nurse. It might technically not be a ranged killer but your almost as fast as slinger and when you think about it your the bullet. Also you get to bypass obnoxious map issues like breakable walls and multiple story buildings. That would be my advice to the Deathslinger players in general. Pick up nurse play something that rewards you for time invested. We gave feedback behavior didn't listen time to move on. Most content creators or survivors will not be happy with slinger until he stays in an overnerfed state. Blight add on's will likely be next. A key advantage to consider is nurse doesn't have enough players playing her to provoke a nerf blight does. Already the blighted crow, alchemist ring add ons op has started. Behavior doesn't do half measure so expect some nasty addition be made to blight.
100% agree with this. Nurse is basically a Slinger that shoots through walls. She fills the hole where he used to be for me.
-
Spirit, Nurse and Hag could be considered M1 killers by your definition them. All of them use Surge very well.
For me, M1 killers are the killer who submit themselves to the traditional looping while also having no M2 attack to deal with them. Unlike killers like Nurse and Huntress who can basically shred through loops they only rely on mindgames and somehow a mediocre power to help them.

but NOT doctor shocks, huntress hatchets, clown bottle gas, trapper traps etc.
This is a nerf.
However, if you just want to "change" it, then why? If it's not outperforming or underperforming, why would it warrant a change? You don't randomly just "change" perks.
You can definitely change things which are not exactly overperforming. Deathslinger was nerfed a ton when his kill rate was already on the lower end of the killers.

The wiki does not mention anything about hitboxes or animation direction, and in my experience the horizontal quick attacks behave differently than vertical.
You can test on a KYF if you want. All of them are the same.
-
Funny how people complain more about the person who is following the rules and playing the game than the one who broke them (the DCer).
I'd rather just move on to the next game. I'm at a point in DBD where I don't need BP anymore, so I don't really care about hooking everyone 3 times. Sure I'll not stand at the hook staring you, but if I see you and you just got unhooked don't expect me to ignore you.
-
It's beating a dead horse at this point. BHVR somehow decided to nerf a B tier killer (Slinger) more than they nerfed the S tier one (Spirit). He's just another pointless killer in the roster, might as well have deleted the killer and refunded the auric/shards invested on him instead of wasting time on those changes that were aimed at making him unfun to play as (because of course the fun of the 4 is more important than the fun of the 1).

Tell me all about how Pinhead's M1 is the same as Huntress', or how Wraith's is the same as Pyramid Head's.
All M1 attacks have the same range, hitbox and speed, including the ones you mentioned. https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Basic_Attacks

Note on Samantha: she's blacklisted in comp for cheating. Multiple account bans and was removed from Oracle. She refused to attend tournaments where she had to share a display capture of her screen, and the one tourney she did share her screen, she got 4 staged/4 escaped (or something like that, don't remember the exact result)
Didn't know that.... what a shame.
-
It's pointless to play killer on that map. I just get my chasing points and call it a day.

What is Samantha's YouTube or twitch? When I Google them I get lots of irrelevant stuff.
-
Huntress: Ralph, CoconutRTS and Queen Cami.
Nurse: SupaAlf
Blight: LilithOmen
Pig: ScorpionZ
Spirit: Samantha
-
I'd rather have Dead Hard and Sprint Burst toned down. Giving a MS penalty for exhaustion would just make already niche perks like Balanced, Head On and Smash Hit even more niche.
-
New survivor is less likely to have DS.

I didn't even think of that, it could probably work but it'll probably mess up muscle memory just like it did with Slinger. Definitely a better option than my suggestion though lol
Probably, but it's not like flashlight timing is some rocket science, it would be easy to adapt to.
-
Flashlights should have an actual animation. It's just dumb that the survivor is carrying a flashlight and 0.00001 seconds after he clicks the button it is already shining in your face. Give them something like the Slinger treatment.
-
Nurse and Huntress. I just love their designs and how high skill/high reward they are. I tried to include Blight in this but his collision is awful on half of the maps, so meh.
-
I kind of agree with OP. Back in early 2020 after he got reworked he was a super strong killer because the looping meta was still a thing and he counters that really well. Since we transiotined into the W and pre-drop meta his effectiveness diminished quite a lot imo. Just like it was for killers like Oni, Pyramid and Freddy.
However, that's more a problem with how strong holding W and pre-dropping pallets is, not with Doctor. He's in a fine spot imo.
-
It used to be good on him because you could snowball with the 24m TR + STBFL. Now it's not anymore. If you chase a notification that's 30m away you're going to waste at least 30 seconds catching up to the 18m range before you're able to do anything.
-
Pay attention to Dark Souls weapon swap animation next time. Nothing funnier than seeing a Zweihander coming out of the Chosen Undead arse
-
Nurse, Huntress, Blight, Oni.

-it can only activate when you're injured
-it can only activate when you're not exhausted
-it requires aim and timing to be effective
-once you know a survivor has it, you just bait it out after
-for every dead hard for distance to a pallet or miss a swing, there's at least one dead hard into nothingness that barely extends the chase. Or the dead hard that was aimed slightly off, and now they've run into the pallet instead of past it. Or the dead hard that was too late and now you're exhausted on the ground.
"Dead Hard requires aim and timing" is the best joke I've heard on a while. It doesn't take more than 20 hours in this game to know how to DH to a pallet.
-
I played against Shadow Step on ######### RCPD. I should honestly have stayed AFK on that match.
-
Ruin undying tinkerer corrupt intervention
Also a hex lasting 3 minutes? What game are you playing?
-
His tentacle has the same range of a lunge.
I'll say it again: his tentacle has the same range of a lunge.
-
I haven't played against Nemesis yet but I've noticed some desync when playing as him. I'll infect a survivor and then they will stay frozen in place (at least for me) during 2 seconds before the hit registers. It's super annoying.

Only insomniacs and people who nolife this game play ridiculously late, theres not really anyone else to pair you with.
At least on my servers (SA) late at night is the chillest time, only true chads playing. Playing during the day and evening is asking for sweat teams all the time.

They're all tools to help the survivor escape, aren't they? Dead Hard helps more in more scenarios than Alert or Bond. So these perks won't be used until something changes.
They serve different purposes though. If you play solo queue, you know how valuable information perks are. It doesn't matter if I have Sprint Burst if I run to a location where my teammate is doing a gen.
-
Your comparison doesn't make any sense. Information perks are way different than chase ones, that's like saying "why should I run BBQ when I can run Bambozlee".
I think Sprint Burst and Dead Hard should be toned down, but everything else is fine.
