why not have less ranks and have a game mode that allows a non-ranked system so it is just casual games rather than rankedbecause splitting the playerbase kills

OP insisted against that as well. Ludicrous. But yeah, they would need compensationI don't necessarily agree with everything the OP says, my point was more to prove about how easy it actually is to be gen rushed. As a survivor I do my best to gen rush any killer I come against. But I do think a 3v1 mode would give the survivors the stress the killers have until they are able to execute a lucky snowball.
And for me, that is the point of being survivor.

We know it takes, at max, 80 seconds to do a gen (excluding thanataphobia). Lets assume you find 1 survivor in 10 seconds. Other survivors have found gens that spawned close to themThere are now 75 seconds left on 3 gens. You run through 3 pallets, you are looped the three times and then swing, not respecting, and are stunned. You've wasted 20 seconds looping, you are stunned for 2.1 seconds (without enduring) You break the pallet, taking an additional 1.8 (with Brutal Strength III).
There are now 3 gens, on or about 50 seconds.
Second pallet, repeat the same process.
There are now 3 gens, on or about 25 seconds.
Finally, you are ran around the killer shack for 10 seconds. They do not drop the pallet, they mess the loop and you down them in an optimistic 10 seconds. You have a 2 second pickup animation after the over 1 second cooldown from hitting.
13 seconds left on 3 gens.
Luckily, the killer shack has the basement, you walk down in 5 seconds, you hook over a period of 2 seconds, and walk back up in another five. You leave the killer shack, 3 gens are completed or about to be.
Except with 3 people, 2 are done, and now either 2 or occupied, or the hooked guy dies. It allows a snowball WAY TOO FAST. Example. You have four fingers, (thumb ain’t a finger) but cutting of the ring finger greatly weakens THE REMAINING FINGERS. So it does more damage, then by itself being removed. You can just lower the number of the core mechanic
With only 3 survivors, obviously they would be given ways to be assisted even further in surviving.

At what rank? The last 6 games I played I've been gen rushed. First hook = 3 gens.
do you not use ruin, I understand that they need to make totems harder to find but there is no way unless you respect every pallet that they get 3gens done
Yes it is.

Yeah, they probably fixed a quick bug problem, and re-sent it.
If that was required it would not have passed the Microsoft Cert
I’m not sure if I stated this, but Sony is harsher with cert. still, BHVR knows he guidelines
You did state that, and I disagreed with you. They are both just as strict as eachother, the difference is how Sony treats Indie devs.

@bortami said: What you're saying is it requires certification for every time they change it to double points and back to regular? Yes, as it is an update patch. Everything that passes through Sony or Microsoft has the exact same procedure. Then it should be pretty standard as its quick to put something you put in several times before, as a quick patch. It shouldn't take longer than 5 days and since it updates on Tuesday and Thursday it would easily be in for next weekend.. to fix this debacle.
Fairly plain simple fix. Something easily done by illfonican gunmedia when they messed up.
This is different. The double BP patch was meant to be separate from the DLC, meaning it never went through the same certification process, as they did not expect the DLC to take so long.
Then all they do is submit a new patch. Which is not attached to this one and extend the event through the weej for ps4. It's not that hard Kuris. Youre just looking for the method to defend.
They did submit the new patch, thats how they are still doing the event this weekend. Otherwise they would have had to wait until the DLC was released.

Not Queen has already addressed this for us.
This should be stickied somewhere. It seems like not enough people know this.
This literally means nothing coming from someone who has played this game since day 1 on PS4. We want the DLC before the weekend. Bloodpoints are worthless otherwise. I've had a million for the last months waiting for this. Why is it so hard to delay it for a week?
And Sony said you cannot have it before the weekend.
And because its not our fault, why should we have to have something pushed back. Just accept the fact we get a second event in August as an apology.

Wow.... so not only does everyone get the second BP event because of their [BAD WORD] up on PS4's patch, but we don't EVEN get the courtesy of having the event stalled for us so that we can fully enjoy it. We realistically may not even get the patch til Monday or Tuesday because they won't release it without the dlc... so what is the point of the second BP event again? To scorn us for having the nerve to VOICE OUR disappointment when they screw these things up?
At this point it feels spiteful and anti consumer, am I wrong for thinking that?
You mean Sony's ######### up

There's not even a month or day set in stone for that. I just find it hilarious Xbox and PC get everything before the weekend hits while we have to suffer and wait and spend BP on the same ######### we've been using. It's really ridiculous at this point. On top of that, they get 2 weekends of using BPs on new characters. The only reason we're even getting the weekend is because they finally got certified on PS4 but yet we still have to wait for a few days to get the DLC when Xbox got it hours later.Solution. Change company. Sony is low tier.

I don't believe this is Sony holding the patch back out of laziness or petty reasons. I've been with Sony since as long as I can remember, starting on PS1 and moving up every generation. I strongly believe that Sony is holding the patch back because it's so horribly broken. The 2.0 patch has caused major performance issues on both PC and Xbox One, with Xbox One being practically locked out of half their killer roster due to FPS drops and game freezes and they can't even play the new Clown killer. I feel the reason it's taking so long to come out on PS4 is due to the patch failing certification numerous times because of bugs, glitches or it's just harmful for the console as a whole. It hasn't caused performance issues? Xbox cant play clown yet because the DLC hasnt been released, just the 2.0 update. It hasnt failed any certifications. The amount of time it has taken to update is typical of what I am used to when playing Smite on the PS4, where the PC version can get a major update a month before the PS4 version.
I don't know when you last played Smite or if you check the main website in the news section but when Smite updates on PC the update has always made it to console in the following 12-13 days, like clockwork. It does not take a month or longer to get updates. Our last update with Baron Samedi came out exactly 12 days after it first dropped on PC. And I'll bet you that the next update will come to PS4 next Tuesday/Wednesday on the 10th or 11th. (also yeah [BAD WORD] chests) Sony doesn't take an age and a half to do certification, they've always been fast and prompt unless they find a major bug or flaw. As for the clown DLC on Xbox that did come out a few days ago back on the 27th at midnight when their store updated and everyone YouTube video and twitch stream I watch of Xbox players shows horrible fps issues when playing as him, specifically when winding up to throw the bottle and the actual explosion of the bottle. The particle effects for the gas just kills their fps. Nurse is having FPS problems after blinking and worse if you chain blink more than twice up to the five time max. This is happening even on PC and twitch streamers have already called it out, e.g. True and Marth88. Huntress windup and throwing is also having fps issues as is the Doctor when he uses his shock ability on people. There are issues with 2.0 and it has caused degraded performance on PC and Xbox so for, Xbox being the worst off.Smite's updates are rarely as big. As far as I was made aware, the 2.0 update was released but the clown was kept locked so I don't know how you saw that. It is hard to optimise a game for slower devices though without some FPS issues. I watch both True and Marth, and play the game myself, and have not seen them make these complaints, nor have I experienced the issues myself. I saw an FPS issue on Autohaven, but that fixed when I reloaded my game
That's actually not true, Smite does get some big updates going. Just recently they kicked off a new adventure with a 3v3v3 game mode and a week later even added more variants to it, console got that surprisingly fast after PC, that one only being a week wait I believe instead of the standard 12-13 days. That was a huge multi-gig patch that brought in numerous rewards, a new game mode, new skins, etc.Hi-Rez has begun submitting updates for certification before they are released on PC, meaning they are completed closer together. The staff at Hi-Rez is a much larger number though so they can get away with doing this.
I also believe the Medusa Update was smaller than DBD 2.0, from what I remember when installing it myself
-
