As it stands he's only really good defending a 3-gen with the usual kicking build. Even camping he's not great because a survivor can insta-cancel a Hunt by starting an unhook.
-
All the survivors running Self-Care and no other healing perks.
-
It's been suggested before and it's a terrible idea. The killer would find the weak link and relentlessly tunnel them out of the game, and now the good survivors are all on death hook.
-
Killers like Doctor and Knight who are really strong in a 3-gen become borderline-impossible to beat if they're running Overcharge/CoB/Eruption/NWTH.
A full SWF with comms, yeah, they can probably do something about it, but it'll still be tough, but solo queue has basically no chance. If the killer chooses their best 3 gen at the start of the game and patrols it from 5 gens, there's no counterplay.
None of those perks are overtuned by the way (but Eruption does have issues). Neither are killers who can hold down an area well a problem. The problem is that when you combine all of these things together, it's just too oppressive for most players.
And I play this build on some of my killers. I played it on Doc the day the Knight was released and even on Eyrie, a godawful map for killers, and even against a team of decent loopers, I still kept the game going for like 30 minutes and got a 4k when quite frankly I didn't deserve it with how good they were at looping.
-
I someone DCs early I'll usually get the other survivors dead on hook and then start chilling and farming a bit. If someone just wants to go next they can point to a hook and I'll kill em.
-
It is unfortunate that in a kicking-meta, where 3-genning was already really strong, BHVR decided to release a killer who excels at defending a three gen -and- one of his perks is a no-brainer to throw into the Overcharge/COB/Eruption build. There's really not much survivors can do against that if the killer focuses on defending his three gen. And if he's a killer like Knight or Doc? No chance.

It's two perks, and you must've given them a LOT of time to recover, or else Flip-flop doesn't give enough charge to allow Power Struggle to trigger. And even then, they still have to make it out.
If the survivors manage to waste so much of your time that this incredibly garbage perk combo can do its work, you didn't outplay jack.
I mean if you leave them to bleed out you -are- outplaying their perk.
-
Would be nice, as it stands you get nothing for p1, p2 or p3 for those three characters.
Still did it cause I didn't want Demo left out :)
-
With how perk-reliant and addon-reliant Trapper is you did very well with only tier-1 Brutal Strength, well done. And yeah playing the 1 in a 4v1 is gonna be intimidating for anyone, just gotta keep at it and the nerves eventually go. Mostly.
-
You're complaining about killers -not- using 4 slowdown perks?
-
I mean subtle hacking may well still be prevalent, we'll never know really, but personally I've seen a lot less blatent hackers the last few months.

Not to play devil's advocate, but doesn't the hide scratch marks/pools of blood effet still take place if you're hit through endurance ?
Granted, it's not that big of a help against a determined killer, but it's at least small value I guess.
Off the Record has never done either of those things? It's Iron Will and Distortion for 80 seconds.
-
The 45 seconds wasn't the issue, the issue was Unbreakable halving that, which opened up a bunch of possible ways to exploit it.
-
The reason is because BHVR is really slow at doing anything. That's it, that's the reason.
-
Teabagging is annoying but like you don't have to go to the exit gate to watch em do it. When the survivors have all gotten to the gate I just smash pallets, farm with my power or go afk, it's no biggie.
-
It's literally the only way to avoid getting one-shotted. Well, you can also just sit on a gen but the Myers could technically just wait till you finish it.
-
If you really hate snowmen play Doctor or Slinger. Slinger's shots ignore the snowmen completely and Doctor can shock people outta the snowmen.
-
I mean it was obvious that the new christmas skins would be a part of their new 'limited time skins' money-grubbing crap, but the fact they're retroactively making -all- the other old winter skins ALSO time limited now is absolutely disgusting and some of the worst anti-comsumer bull I've seen in a video game.

Is it not true you can do a gen in 45 seconds with a toolbox and hyperfocus + stakeout? You don't even need stakeout if you can hit greats on your own, stakeout makes it so anyone can do it even if you're awful with greats.
This is just blatently untrue. If you're awful at greats then Stake Out isn't gonna make Hyperfocus any good. You -need- to be really good at hitting Greats even with Stake Out.

Seeing their items, survivor choice and outfits? Yes. Actually gameplay relevant information.
Names and profile access? Should be gone, luckily the anonymous modes at least exist. Not gameplay relevant information and for every neat interaction like "Mori me Piggy" getting mori'd by Pig and everyone having a laugh at it, there's at least 2 cringy "rivalries" of the bad sort or people being able to go to someone's profile to rage comment without even getting a chance to cool down while manually looking up their profile.
Just set your profile to private, it's what I do.

You can't get in the position to hook the survivor when there is a survivor blocking the hook.
Yeah but when you get near them when they're injured they DH away thinking you're gonna hit them.

You can't bait Dead Hard in this situation. The survivor is waiting for you to start the swing animation while carrying a survivor. I found the best option would be to drop the survivor and down someone else, but in my MMR there is always 2-3 unbreakables so that doesn't work very well either.
I usually hit the healthy survivor once, then just go for the hook since the now-injured survivor dead hards away anyway.
-
Hag is super strong against players who don't know how to play against her, one of the strongest killers in that scenario. Unfortunatly she's really bullyable and even a single survivors triggering your traps who knows what they're doing really neuters her power. Ditto for flashlights.
-
It does kinda suck people do that but it's understandable I guess. Myers could have pulled them outta the locker and kept dropping/picking up if they were actually afk and got the achievement that way.

have the hit apply deepwound if they need to do something with it. but i think its ok as it is currently.
It already does that.
-
I actually find it a bit jarring that normal attacks and lunges are normalised across killers. Legion and Pig having the same reach as Knight is so weird.
-
It's the most popular survivor perk again but it's still quite a bit less popular than right before the nerf. It -is- steadily climbing so if this keeps up they may need to look into it again. Don't know how they'd nerf it though.
-
I mean if there's a perk or an item you -really- hate, why wouldn't you bring something to counter it? People bring perks that counter tunnelling because they hate it, same thing.
-
It's been mentioned before that if survivors just outright refuse to do gens and hide, then that's reportable as it's holding the game hostage.
Obviously if they're just hiding temporarily because the killer is nearby or they're afraid of BBQ, that's perfectly fine, but we've all had games where the last two survivors just give up and hide and -will- not do gens ever again. That's against the rules.
-
Tunneling does suck but there's not much more they can add to combat it without just giving an unhooked survivor a shield until another survivor is hooked.
You get 10 seconds baskekit BT and 10% haste which is enough to get to a pallet, window or loop. If you're a bad looper then yeah you can more easily be tunneled but that's a skill issue really.
You also have OTR, DS (which does need a buff back to 5secs) and BT which can help, not to mention teammates bodyblocking, flashlight saving, pallet saving, saboing.

The good reason is that it is rng heavy and annoying for both sides... Also patrolling gates is on of the most annoying things to do... Even if the gates are not entirely bad (in a way where you can never patrol them effectively) ... It is still so much around luck...
Well yeah the hatch is supposed to be RNG, it isn't supposed to be an auto-win for the last survivor, but it's a chance, and an incentive to keep playing.
-
I mean Counterforce was just an anti-hex perk in general, since there were only two that helped you find them. It's the weakest one anyhow.

I just wanted to clarify that Prove Thyself does not give you "extra" bloodpoints; it just awards the bloodpoints for the category faster. There is a cap, and this perk does not allow you to go over it.
True, but as survivor you aren't likely to max out Objective BP in really any of your games so it's essentially extra BP the vast majority of the time.

OMG, I feel that pain literally 😑 I think that Iri1 run left psychological mark on me.
Some times are incredibly frustrating to unhealthy point. I remember when I was on Iri 2 with +4 peps, hands shaking, eyes bulging, last pip, and I'm getting in a row basement Bubba, tunneler and raqequitter-teammate! And I fall to +1. I damaged the wall as I punched it with frustration, had to fix and repaint it. The thing when you worked so hard towards your goal and you lost not because your fault, it's depressing, really depressing.
That's why I won't condone ever on tunneling, camping, dc-ing and other unhealty usage of holes in game mechanic.
That's exactly why I haven't really pushed for it. If I got to Iri 3 again maybe I'd then properly start trying to get it but otherwise it's just too much frustration.
-
It's the last big achievement I've got left to get. I've gotten to Iri 3 a couple times but pipping is just way too tough as survivor once you hit Iri. Heck even at Gold rank I slow right down.
-
Yeah he's bugged at the moment and his dream world is darker than normal. Can barely see anything on Yamaoka Estate.
-
It does make sense that they don't apply kicking perks but they certainly should apply the 2.5%, seems like a bug that they don't.
-
Yeah I was confused and used Spasmodic Breath too but since Blink attacks -are- basic attacks then I guess you don't even kneed that.

prove isn't strong?
if it wasn't strong why is everyone using it, in every game
I mean I run it mainly for the BP. You get loooads of extra BP running it than not.
-
Slugging for the 4k is pretty crappy but there are certain archives that require you 4k. Yes most killers that do it aren't doing those archives but they do still exist.
-
Camping is the only thing his power is good at though. You can't use it in a chase because the survivor just runs away to another tile.
-
It is getting to the point where BHVR is gonna need to nerf it again.
-
Yes, the killer deserves to get an unhook notification. Why would they remove that?
-
It's a known bug with Knight and BHVR hasn't kill-switched him so it's their own fault it happens.
-
Solo Survivor, Distortion, Spine Chill, Wake Up/Left Behind + bring a medit/key and a blueprint
Seems to be the most reliable build if you're ONLY playing to escape and don't care about your teammates. A lot of hiding and letting people die on hook though.

The only character in this game I think the "unappealing to look at" thing might apply to is Twins
And that's only because of the obvious, she has a massive gaping hole in her torso with a little gremlin sticking out. Even the sound that plays when you unbind victor is gross as hell, it sounds like a bone being snapped in half
Also haha guys we gave the male survivor a shirtless cosmetic we're so cool, ok now give us your money you predictable creatures
I mean they know their playerbase well, they know a hot, shirtless man will make them $$$
-
Eh, most of the time survivors miss a flashy save it's because they're too late, which this change doesn't fix. You also have franklin's and lightborn if you -really- don't like flashies.
-
3 or 4 slowdown perks means they've not got chase perks, they've not got aura-reading perks. If you can work out what perks they have then try and capitalise on their weaknesses on what they're not bringing.
Eruption is an issue in general though I'll agree with that.
-
Apparently when survivors know how to play against him he's pretty weak. If the Knight starts summoning a guard the survivor can just hold W to another tile, and the guards in general are slow and easily outran.
-
I think when the hype settles down Vittorio will join most of the DLC characters in not being played all that much. I mean Felix has a lot of thirsty fans and yet how often do you actually see him in game? How often do you see Jane despite all the comments she gets? DLC characters in general are gonna see FAR less play than the free characters, and very few of them are frequently seen.
In my experience it's only really the Resident Evil characters, Kate and Mikaela that are popular and almost all the rest are only seen now and again. Heck certain characters like Yoichi and Jonah are practically extinct.
