Yeah I'm from the UK and had a couple of games yesterday where I just kept rubberbanding constantly. In one of them all the survivors said they had the same.

The gate gets locked for a minute
The egc last 4 minutes if nobody is down/hooked, longer if they are
You have slightly more then 2 and a half minutes before your faith is sealed
Why did it take you so long to touch a gate?
Actually not true. EGC is two minutes, upto a max of 4 minutes if someone is down/hooked.
-
Eruption is strong, a little overtuned even, but there have been perks in the past way more busted than current Eruption.
Original Ruin, Original Dead Hard, Original Decisive Strike -and- after it's first rework, Original Mettle of Man, Original Undying, Original Object of Obsession, Boil Over right after it's rework.
Also Original Keys and Moris.
-
No Way Out is a strong perk but it's hardly OP. Heck it's barely used considering how strong it is but it doesn't really need a nerf. Just tap the gate switch and run back into the level and hide/heal/boon/unhook.
If you waited until there was less than half the timer before even starting to open the gate, well, that's on you.
-
Against good survivors and on certain maps yes m1 killers are almost unplayably-bad. However, on some maps and against merely average survivors they're perfectly fine.
-
5 second stun yes, endgame use no
-
Survivor has plenty of strong, even meta perks behind free survivors. The only two big meta perks for surv are behind original survivors too, so pretty accessable. These are OTR and CoH.
Killers still have a few good perk options for free: Tinkerer, Nurse's Calling, Jolt, Fearmonger, Sloppy, and NOED all decent but none of their strongest, top-tier perks. Plus their strongest meta perks are locked behind paid DLC, Eruption and Call of Brine. Not at all accessable.
So both sides can still do well, but killer is argueably pay-to-win. Shrine of Secrets existing doesn't mean you can say all perks are available to f2p players. Many newer perks are just NEVER on here, you have to check every single week or you may miss what you want and meta perks seem to rarely get featured.

Not to be an ass, but that is quite literally a self-inflicted issue.
You actively choose to play an M1 killer, with no perks or addons to assist in looping - which is a legitimate mechanic of the game.
M1 killers are part of the game. They shouldn't be so weak against a good survivor that chases take half the game or more. Instead of fixing maps and strong loops as a whole, BHVR decided to just add killers that do well against loops.
It's either we have anti-looping killers, or BHVR just gets rid of safe pallets and loops.

The fix is: balance the game correctly
While this would help, even if the game was much more balanced there are many players who would still DC/suicide the moment the match isn't going their way.
-
It's SWF sided but against solo queue it's killer sided.

@VideoGameMage said:
We can't have good hair physics in this game. The game isn't optimized for console, so if bhvr did add in decent hair physics the game would probably turn into a slide slow on console.
It isn't optimized for anything to be fair.
-
If they made DC penalties higher those DCers would just suicide on hook instead.
-
Making it hook based means they may as well remove the incap entirely to be honest.
-
It's a very unique perk and is one of the best perks we have to deal with a 3-gen -if- it's used pre-emptively.
Some people do overuse it though when it would have been far more eficient just to do the gen.
-
I wouldnt advise anyone playing solo survivor to do any saboing. It's too inconsistant and you waste too much time. It can be really strong in SWFs but that's about it.
-
With the exception of Plaything/Pentimento, you pretty much -have- to run Undying if you wanna run hex perks, which means having to use a second perk slot just so your first perk slot actually has a chance at doing something. And because Undying is -the- best 'support' hex perk, it means Retribution, which is actually a strong perk, is never used, because why use that instead of Undying.
I sorta feel like they should just roll Undying into most of the hex perks anyway since if you ever run Blood Favour or Devour Hope on it's own it -will- be cleansed before you get much value from it. Like there is zero point in -ever- running a single hex perk unless it's Plaything.
-
Interested what people's "If you could make any change in DBD what would it be" answers are.
Mine was nerf Dead Hard :)

There is nothing to "punish", it’s a game.
I mean any tactic that one side does should have a way to 'counter' or 'punish' it to some extent. If a killer spreads out hooks, there are ways to punish that, if a killer guards a three-gen there are (not enough) ways to deal with that. The same is true of tunneling and camping, though there should be a bit more available for survivors.
-
To be fair if they made gens take longer for survivors to do, killers would still camp and tunnel just as much as they do now, it'd just be even harder to punish it.
-
She has the addon Spasmodic Breath, you still need land some blink-hits but then you get 60 seconds of being a normal m1 killer and it can really freak out survivors.
-
I mean if DBD tournaments didn't have extra rules to limit what survivors could bring then the only killer you'd ever see would be Nurse. They -have- to have these seemingly silly rules so that other killers can see play.
-
Yeah I admit to tunneling sometimes and I'll happily admit it in endgame chat if I get accused of it, or camping for that matter. I wont admit to it if it never actually happened however, and I'll be pretty annoyed if I get called out for it when the recently unhooked survivor uses BT or OTR to bodyblock, then complains when I keep going after them.
-
That's always been the case, like if the killer brings a fun/meme build and then survivors just win easily.
-
I mean a killer nodding or shaking their head isn't a big deal? Like teabagging, it only really affects weak-willed people.
-
And playing a basic m1 killer against a good looper isn't fun.

A little buff that absolutely won't help swiffers is showing survivor load-outs to other survivors. Let other solo queue folks know that I'm running a healing build with Desperate Measures, Botany, and that Yoichi perk that makes my aura show up to injured survivors, so that they know what that info means and what they need to do if they're injured.
It'd at least -help-, somewhat.
And yes I do think survivors should be able to see each other's perks. Even if it's only in certain situations.
If someone is on first hook and has Deliverance, show the perk icon next to their name. If someone has Unbreakable and they're on the ground, show the perk icon next to their name. If someone has recently been unhooked, show DS or OTR next to their name.

@DudelPuma said:
that is information NOT a buff ! great, now I know that my mates are useless that will definitely help the solo q so much that it's no longer cruel
I mean that no gens are concerned and dull totems are cleansed and chests are open are no indication that they are currently useless no now I only have the confirmation that either the solo q gets a real buff (more gen speed, heal speed, etc.) or the matchmaking measures the actual skill (e.g. chase duration) with the information together it would be much more pleasant and bearable solo
They're never gonna give solo queue arbitrary gen-speed buffs that's ridiculous. It's a completely unrealistic expectation.
-
Told ya so *smugface*
-
Whenever it's down to two survivors hiding and one does eventually -try- to actually do the gens, I'll usually let that one live and go for the other one. No point rewarding them for hiding in a locker for ages.
That said, if both had been hiding for ten minutes before one starts trying to do the gens, they're both dying if I can help it, hiding for ten minutes and holding the game hostage isn't cool.
-
Because BHVR is really, really slow at making anything new from scratch. They've probably been working on it behind the scenes for a while but it's gonna take months or possibly over a year for them to actually finish it because... I don't know, they're just really slow.

Because eruption isn't a problem, what's a problem is running resilience, leader, two socket swivels green and yellow tool boxes with or without charges added pretty much all of the new 2020-2022 perks survivors have received
Leader? The perk that doesn't increase gen speed at all?
I'm guessing you meant Prove Thyself.
Also medkits are stronger than toolboxes in most games.

You just admitted that I am 100% right. "When a survivor and the killer are working together, the killer will let the survivor live in exchange for ratting out their teammates locations,"
That's what I have said multiple times, yet you still say, "no, you're wrong."
Which proves that you are trolling. Also against the forum rules. Good luck with that.
I'm sorry you really don't seem to understand. In your example the killer is still hostile to the survivor. That's the key difference. If you can't get your head around the concept I don't know what to say.

@InnCognito said:
TBH the game just needs a set timer for a match 45 minutes or 60 minutes. If the survivor doesn't escape. The entity should take them and the match should conclude ^_^.
They already have that. 1 hour and the match ends and the killer wins.
-
Neither are holding the game hostage. The killer can just pull em outta the locker and hook them. The survivor can leave the locker and accept their fate.
Both sides have things they can do to end the game.
-
It's a cool perk and it gives other survivors information too which is quite rare. It's not used much because it requires setup to be useful and it isn't really useful in a SWF. Even solo survs would more likely run something like Bond or Empathy which gives good info without needing to do anything, but Aftercare is still a solid perk if you play more for unhooks and healing.
-
Her blink-attack needs to be made a special attack and MAYBE her range and recharge addons could be tuned down slightly. That's all she really needs.
Even with those changes she'll still be top killer, maaaaybe second behind Blight.

THERE IS NOTHING THE SURVIVOR CAN DO TO "WORK WITH THE KILLER' OTHER THAN PURPOSEFULLY LEAD THE KILLER TO THE OTHER SURVIVORS.
SERIOUSLY, HOW CAN YOU NOT COMPREHEND THIS! You a purposefully trolling. Either get the hint, or face the report for supporting and condoning cheating. YOUR CHOICE!
Ah yes, caps lock is the sign of a civil discussion.
And no, you're wrong. In the situation you describe, the killer is trying to the kill the first survivor but may decide to switch targets to one more out-of-position after being lead to other survivors. There is no 'working together', the killer is still hostile to the first survivor, the first survivor is simply hoping the killer will leave them alone, and is using their own teammates as bait. The killer may well choose to keep chasing the first survivor and ignore the bait.
When a survivor and the killer are working together, the killer will let the survivor live in exchange for ratting out their teammates locations, and sometimes even purposefully sandbagging them.
I'm afraid they're different things.

It is. Another thing that is against the rules, is supporting and condoning cheating on the forums.
Again I repeat, baiting the killer into other survivors, even on purpose with Bond, is not against the rules, it is not 'working with the killer'. You have done nothing to prove it is and BHVR has never claimed it is against the rules. Sorry.

Wow, OP is one of the most entitled people I've ever seen. Just wow.

Oh it 100% is reportable to work with the killer. It isn't just a douche move it is cheating and will get you banned. You don't know what you are talking about.
Running the killer into other survivors isn't "working with the killer" though, I don't think you understand what you're talking about. If you report someone for doing that you're breaking the rules by false reporting.
-
I mean at this point we should just ban all survivor players. Imagine how great the game would be then.

Here's how it works from my perspective as survivor. I am the only person that has been hooked. Meg, who has bond, is being chased and leads the killer to my location. The killer drops her chase and chases me to tunnel me out.
Meg is working with the killer. It is a reportable violation of the rules and the evidence showing she has bond proves she knew exactly where all survivors are.
Deliberatly running the killer into your teammates isn't reportable and it isn't 'working with the killer'. It's a douche move yeah but it's not against the rules, chill.
-
I finished it weeks ago.
-
There are no comeback mechanics in DBD but I think that's a good thing personlly.
-
Bribing survivors to not DC I guess.
-
I doubt they'd be able to ever make them 'fun' to go against. Their entire concept is being able to put Deep Wounds on multiple survivors quickly and if you got rid of that they'd basically be a completely different killer. They need that for their slowdown, especially because their lethality is pretty low, needing to chase as a normal m1 killer to get the down.
-
They said they want to add an MMR decay system but they've not added it yet. We've not heard any update about it for ages so it's unlikely to added anytime soon.

This begs the question if we are to consider this a team game or a solo game.
If this is a team game than you are responsible for your weak link and have to protect it. The Killer finding the weak link and exposing the flaw would thus be a good player taking advantage of a situation against a team.
If this is a solo game than I agree with you and the idea is bad.
I mean if you think it's upto the rest of the team to defend the weak link, why add this new thing anyway? You could just say that about how the game is right now. Weak link on death hook? Survivor's problem.
