Having the final two survivors hide in a corner of the map is really annoying, yes, but at that point there isn't much else for them to do. If they do gens they'll get found immediatly and even if they loop you for a while the last survivor isn't gonna solo two or three gens in that time.
BHVR just needs to fix their afk crow system so it isn't as abusable.
-
I mean you're allowed to slug whenever you want, but the generally-accepted times are when survivors are saboing so you can't hook, or someone with Boil Over is going down in an unhookable spot.
You'll still have survivors complaining though.

Bloodlust is already a mechanic that rewards a killer for playing badly. they don't need to make it stronger. in fact it should be removed
Bloodlust is pretty much required at certain loops because of bad map design. If they fixed most maps to be less survivor sided then they can get rid of it, sure.

Trapper's snake? 👀

At top level Bubba is below Billy and is infact in the bottom three killers in the game.
-
Sometimes, depends if I have an archive to survive or not.

idk u had franklins and they all brought no mither so skill issue should have pressured gens better
Technically Franklin's doesn't help much against toolboxes since 99% of survivors just use it at the first gen they find.

Making maps much darker would be a buff to flashlights :D

My heart goes out to all the people who were duped into going along wih Stadia.

And what if I don't want to deal with it?
I mean there's literally nothing else you can do? Like it's a change the devs are doing and nothing you do or say will do anything.

Dev's Favourite, surely.

The buff to the timing more than compensates. This update will be a net buff to flashlights.
Flashlights sorta needed a buff because they're one of the weaker items in the game.
-
It's not a big deal. Most flashlight misses are too late anyway, and this buff does nothing to that.
Bring Lightborn if you don't like it.

Maybe you find it difficult. Empathy shows the teammates movement which is a good indicator of the chase. Add alert and I can monitor how much distance they are maintaining. I do my gens and react accordingly to the info available.
That still doesn't tell you if they're gonna go down soon. You don't know if they have Dead Hard or even if they do if they're gonna time it well to extend that chase. What if the killer is near them but they make it to a window? What if it's a killer that's playing around pallets or just ignores them? Then Alert is useless.
It's unrealistic for anyone not on voice coms to effectively counter Eruption. You are basically telling people to just not do gens if someone is injured and in chase.
-
I'm fine with the change. In my experience most missed flashlight saves are too late anyway and this doesn't affect that.

They should just make it so using one of those add-ons prevents you from using the other. Either like a Killswitch effect or just that only one will work - they used to make certain add-ons not stack in the past and Iri Head + Infantry Belt currently works in a similar manner.
Tampered Timer and Crate of Gears are both fine add-ons, they're only problematic when combined.
That works fine, though personally I'd prefer if they just change one so they can still be run together. Maybe the Gears could do something nasty while someone's trap is inactive, so that Pig has an option to punish groups that 99 gens.

I watched the video.
As far as the skill, it's timing the flashlight correctly and aiming it correctly. Survivor flashlight saves (locker or otherwise) take more skill than Huntress hatchets; I play on PS4, one is way more hard than the other. Flashlight saves are probably the most skillful thing a Survivor can do and they're being nerfed in different ways. At least, no more complaints about the skill it takes to play Survivor because skill is being taken out of it.
The coordination is that one goes in the locker and the other goes for the save based on the Killer's actions. They're a SWF; SWFs are coordinated. I'll use my experience again. If you go for flashlight saves as a Solo, you're probably throwing the match. There are better ways to enhance your likelihood of survival than following the Killer chasing the teammate
As far as counterplay, there isn't any as longer as the SWF is skillful with their saves. But this video does not depict the average match. Most Survivors are not saving each other in lockers and very, very rarely to Killers load into a match where Survivors are doing that. Get rid of the bubble that blocks the Killer's aura when running Kindred and nerf Eruption; that's the balance the game needs because Solo Survivor needs actual buffs. Not Killer, not SWF.
"Eruption is a problem so you can't fix anything else in the game until you fix it 😡"
I mean locker saves -and- Eruption can both be issues.
And locker saves -were- an issue. They put the killer into an unwinnable situation, grab the person in the locker and they get saved, or leave and look for someone else, and the person heals and does gens.

If it is sometimes I don't think it's a big problem. She has (almost) no chase power and only delay power. If they nerf that and make it bad RNG for the pig again like before... why would you bother playing her anymore lol.
I'm not saying change the RNG. I love that they made her traps more consistant and guaranteed solid slowdown, it's great, it's a good change. My issue is the combo of Tampered Timer and Crate of Gears can make it so even if a survivor plays absolutely flawlessly, they can still die, and there's nothing they could have done to survive.

Yesterday i died to a reverse trap.
It is the worst when you got three attempts wrong and the pig is waiting for you at the remaining two stations.
And with most combinations of addons I don't even think this is an issue. Heck old Tampered Timer paired with any other addon was fine. Crate/Bag of Gears paired with other addons was fine. The issue is when you run Timer and Gears together, it just creates unwinnable situations for survivors.

Okay I will stop at reading the first part of your post. I bet you ask for nerfing her RNG / Traps kill potential because sometimes you are unlucky or something.
I will just say: Lets not make meme "Nerf pig" real please :D
Bad RNG meaning that a survivor literally just dies is an issue though.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/352591/locker-saves-removed-but-no-eruption-rework
Two counters to eruption; let go of the gen prior to a down and winning a chase which prevents the perk altogether. To a lesser extent there is also trapping the gen with blast mine or the one that wraps the gen in entity arms.
Someone might say,"I can't know that playing solo". Yes you can, perks can equip you with the ability to see almost everything in a match.
This is a ridiculous answer. Solo queue players have no way of knowing when a teammate is going to go down. Even with Empathy you can tell where an injured teammate is being chased but you don't know when they're gonna get hit. Do you suggest to just never do a gen if there's an injured person being chased? That's ludicrous.

When you put energy into a rift you get bloodpoints for doing so. Putting 30 energy into the rift awards you 3000 BP along with an additional 10,000 BP for 'finishing' it. The dowsing rod doubles the 3000 BP but not the 10,000 BP.
Also, when you hook a survivor or if you're on a gen when it's finished, you get extra BP because it's a halloween hook/gen, and that extra BP is also doubled. Overall the offering does net you a decent bit of extra BP but I don't think it's as big of a deal as the Cursed Seed was last year.
-
No one is denying that sometimes killers DC too, for stupid, selfish reasons. In my experience though it happens far, -far- less often, like even factoring in there being 4 survivors and 1 killer, killers still DC considerably-less than survivors.
The few times I've seen killers DC it's usually when they've lost multiple gens and are really struggling to get their first down.
-
If matchmaking is working correctly and matching you against survivors of your level then yes, if you wanna get a 3k or 4k as most killers you will usually need to do some amount of camping or tunneling. Not always mind you.
Just think, if you specifically try to space out hooks and play 'fair', you're putting yourself at a huge disadvantage and will find it very hard to get more than a 2k at endgame doing that.
-
I've legitimatly had a pissed off survivor say in endgame chat "imagine punishing altruism". They complained that it's unfair for the killer to capitalise on 'being a good friend'.
-
If a DC happens in a game, even if it's the last survivor DCing as they're hooked, the game isn't counted in most data sets they collect. If people kill themselves on hook, it -is- counted, presumably because they have no way of differentiating between that and someone just genuinely trying to escape or failing their skill checks.
-
Blight without addons is still stronger than most killers -with- addons.
-
It's the racism for me, sis.
-
Why does the second strongest kliller in the game need anything added to his basekit?
-
Yeah I love Wiretap, infact I would argue Wiretap's effect is stronger than Blast Mine, which is weird when you can use it twice is much.
-
I do think it shouldn't work with toolboxes, otherwise it's fine.
-
It's just so people don't end up with 4 or 5 digit levels. Easier to read, nothing more.
-
I mean if you bring that build and that map on Nurse you can't complain when survivors DC :p It's basically impossible to win against.
-
He can feel clunky to use at first but if you get used to his power he's really strong. Can't reallyl oop effectively against him.
Plus he's the best tunneler in the game.
-
Some old rift skins just don't get released, it's not a guarenteed thing. Dunno why though.

The red indicator isn't based on the killer's distance, it's just the Terror Radius. It's a temporary thing until they add the feature in as an accessibility option.
If you're not in the terror radius (ie Oblivious/Undetectable or the killer just has a really small one), it'll only light up if the killer is within 36m of you, and will give you a speed boost if the killer has direct LOS. Spine Chill alone doesn't give you any detailed distance indication outside of what you can hear.
It ticks down the closer the killer gets to you which is hugely-useful. You don't even need to look behind you anymore if you've got it. It's only stealth killers or killers with undetectable perks that it doesn't tick down against, and it -still- lights up so you know to be wary anyway.
-
Don't worry I'm manifesting more Nurses for you go against bestie :)

It's certainly still very strong. I really don't understand the people who just dropped it for Premonition.

You do realise there are Tome challenges for blinding the killer too right? If you don't swap to a flashlight at the last second the killer will just put on Lightborn or Franklin's and make those challenges impossible to do. Not everyone with a Flashlight is out to make your games miserable.
This is blatently untrue.
-
In chase Pig is garbage yes, but her traps are really strong for reliable slowdown since their buff a while ago. Obviously you have to get the downs first, and that's why she is indeed low-tier, but she's better than a few killers like Trapper, Sadako, Myers, Freddy, Clown and maaaaaybe Legion.
-
Should be made more similar to Plague's, where they actually change up the killer's playstyle into a different, argueably weaker one. I actually deliberatly run Plague's quite often because it's fun and can actually still be pretty strong.
I guess you could also look at Freddy's pallet addons and Hag's bodyclock addon, they both fundementally change how you play the killer, and are generaly considered weaker than not running them, but some people find them fun.
Most meme addons are just not worth running because as mentioned earlier, the extra bp you earn isn't worth how weak they make you, and often you'd actually have just earned more BP by running a stronger addon and performing better in the game. You'd need to significantly up the amount of BP you earn with them AND make it so the extra BP is added on at the end of the match so it breaks the cap you can normally earn in game, -then- they'd be worth running.
Clown's Party Bottle is cool though.

This thread reeks of desperation. Yikes.
-
She's free on console and she's 'cute' in a way Meg and Claudette aren't.
-
The limit does not exist.
-
It's always weird when survivors use OTR and basekit BT offensively to bodyblock and then complain when you end up tunneling them.
The same people groups who sabo or abuse Boil Over and then complain you end up slugging.
-
I switched to killer ones when I got to that one, waaaay easier.
-
Do gens.
