Nice bait but you clearly don't play survivor. No survivor ever has complained about gens getting completed too quickly

Also if your letting 3 to 4 survivors complete a gen and are doing nothing to prevent this you're also a pretty bad killer as well...

Thank you for that. I've been saying this the whole time. Some people just don't have the capacity to understand!

It literally does exist, you’re only looking at it with tunnel vision and not seeing the wider problem.

    Gen speeds are too fast

Whoa whoa whoa.... gen speeds are too fast? Not going there, man. Point is it doesnt exist.

I'm not speaking of a killer perspective. I'm telling you what genrushing is.

And I'm telling you that it doesn't exist. It's just a perspective of the killer created to whine about being outsmarted quickly

  • @Crowman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1510741#Comment_1510741

I only gave you an example of what would be genrushing. This isn't about a killer camping a hook forcing survivors to do gens instead or survivors doing gens thinking someone else is going for the save.

Genrushing is a team of survivors who focus on getting the 5 gens done over everything else. This includes leaving someone on the hook to do gens even when they could go for the save instead and know no one else is saving them. As I said this situation isn't common, but not non-existent.

It is non-existent. As a killer you would perceive it as such but I guarantee you that it isn't as you see it. As a killer, how do you know everyone is coordinating? As a killer, how do you see they are a team? As a killer, how do you know where all the survivors are and how they are reacting to a hooked survivor? You don't. Are you telling me you gen rush so you know from experience? Or are you telling me what you witness as a killer? Cause if it's as a killer, stop. You dont know at all what people are doing after you hook.

  • @Crowman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1510665#Comment_1510665

Because genrushing tends to not happen in solo survivors, because it does require coordination. Also solo survivors are less likely to be okay with being left on a hook and sometimes they just kill themselves and move on.

Actual genrushing is rare, but it is a thing. And you generally won't see it outside of a 4 man swf squad who can coordinate with each other.

No. You think it does but I guarantee that they are going for their teammate. It's either you are face camping or lowkey camping where you walk a little distance away and come right back. Because I've been in teams that generally get accused of gen rushing. People are always either finishing gens rq or they are coordinating the rescue. Gen rushing doeant exist. Killers think it does because they cant see what the survivors are doing. Like I said. It would only exist if the gen is at 0 right in front of the survivor and they complete it there. That never happens. Only time a gen is completed in front of a survivor is if it's at 80% cause the killer busted it before leaving. It does not exist.

To be fair. Plague throwing up on everything, more often than not survivors hyst work through it. It somewhat has no effect when it involves contact illness on objects, better than just thoroughly vomit On survivor.

It makes for a good snicker-fit seeing a survivor SlipnSlide over a Goo'd up Pallet 😖

To be fair, I use this tactic all the time and it only really works with the las 3 gens. I always guide the survivors and always make sure I have 3 close gens. I've had people try to work through it with no success. I generally get 4k every time with her. So again, it's the killer, not the survivors

  • @Crowman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1510440#Comment_1510440

If a gen you are already working on is almost done by all means finish it. Gen rushing would be a survivor gets hooked and you start a gen with 0 progress and finish it instead of rescuing, because the hooked survivor has 2 minutes before they die and gens take less time than that.

That's people going to a gen thinking "SOMEBODY GET THEM! I HAVE A GEN!" Now if somebody gets hooked and the walk up to a gen right in front of the hook and start working on it from 0, then yes. I would agree with you. Most people just dont know if somebody is close to the hook or not so they just work a gen hoping someone does. If survivor has Kindred, I've never ever ever seen anybody leave them on the hook and I solo queue a lot.

  • @Crowman said:

Survivors who refuse to heal, never group, and focus doing gens over saving their teammates is genrushing. It's not necessarily a bad thing as it's a reliable counter to strong killers like Spirit who are great in chases. The main problem is those games when they do happen just aren't fun for anybody because no one is really interacting with the other players which is generally where the complaints come from.

However, the devs stated they are planning to add an end game collapse system to the start of the game so it'll give all killers some time to either set up or get a hook before gens start getting done.

If I star a gen and am over halfway done, ima finish it first. And if killer is camping, its smarter to not get them. So no. Not participating in teamwork is not "gen rushing" as it is either due to killers idiocy or killers idiocy. And even so survivors shouldnt HAVE to leave their gen at 60-80% just cause you wanna whine about them "prioritizing gens.

  • @eleetmatt said:

I find that a lot of the same people who say genrushing is not a thing are the same ones who complain about noed. Genrushing is just a term used to describe something that happened, whether it be lack or map pressure from the killer or skilled loopers who focus only on getting gens done as fast as humanly possible with add ons and perks specifically making it quicker, as opposed to just playing the game casually and letting it play out where it's fun and exciting.

It turns into confusion when everytime gens pop fast as hell, killers act like it's always a thing survivors are doing intentionally to piss them off. The killer cant get enough map pressure sometimes, and other times you'll see end game screens with 2 or 3 bnp, 2 people with prove thyself, all with toolboxes. Alot of times it's a mixture of both. The correct way to use the term would be just to describe something that happened, not really a thing that survivors are always coming into a game to purposely do to you.

Even if people rush gens, "gen rushing" isnt a thing. If it is it only became so because killers whined about it in the first place. But it doesnt exist. People just get gens dont fast sometimes. And no matter the map, a killer has the power to stop the gens. Hell I'd say "gen looping" is more of a thing then "gen rushing" will ever be. Especially since it's a term the killers made to complain about being outsmarted as quickly as possible.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1508261#Comment_1508261

Completing the gens is the objective

Genrushing is a way to complete said objective

It's a term to describe a tactic to complete your objective. Given for ease of discussion.

People aren't complaining gens get done, they are complaining about the speed of which gens get done while ignoring all other aspects of the game

Wether you think that's a problem or not is completly irrelevent to the fact that it's a strategy that people use. And thus has been given a term

Again what you're trying to say is that it's not a problem. Saying it doesn't exist just gives people arguments to use against you

The speed is the problem of the killers. If people choose to not be healed that's perfectly fine. They dont have to. The believe survival is a better tactic then healing. Doesn't mean its gen rushing. Gen rushing is a term created by sour killers because the survivors outsmarted them and completed their objective quickly. Gen rushing is not a thing.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

    Well it is a thing

Genrushing is the tactic to burn through the gens as fast as possible while ignoring other task like healing or bones

What you meant to say was that it isn't a problem in your opinion

Again. It's not gen rushing. It's getting them done like you are supposed to. If they finish fast that's fine. You dont have to heal if you dont want to and you can heal really quickly after finishing the gen and that's what most people do. Others are probably hoping for DS or maybe 99ing there health to trip up the killer. Gen rushing does not exist. Just the completion of the gens

  • She is too op of an idea so I do not believe she would. Especially since she isnt part of any horror game, movie, or TV show

  • I agree with the OP.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/178865/gen-rushing-isnt-a-thing

Doing generators isnt gen rushing, it's gen rushing when all the survivors rush 1 gen, then the next ect. ect.

If you cant stop all survivors from doing 1 gen no matter the killer, you should quit.

I'm a 50/50 player. I play both killer and survivor. When I play killer, only time this idea of "gen rushing" is when I'm being looped by a single survivor. Other then that, i play most killers yet no survivors have been able to successfully gen rush me at all. I've had 2 people on a gen and when i chase one, the other circles around and finishes it up and sometimes i catch them before they do. I've NEVER had gens done before i crossed the map. Its impossible if you understand that you always check the farthest gen first. 9/10 times I guarantee they are there. If you walk to EVERY gen on the way then yea. But you just gotta go close enough to hear the progress. I play on plague a lot 2. Since I bought her a month ago and every match I've played with her, I killed every survivor by just puking on gens and keeping them from rushing. Clown I've played 3 times and could only kill a max of 3 people in a match but that's just cause he sucks in general. But no. Gen rushing doesnt exist. Bad killers do.

  • @joshuashep22 said:

from a recent post I was disgusted by the amount of people who defended camping by saying "it's just using tactics to win" and "I'm supposed to kill people that's my objective" well, if you are doing either those survivors are gonna do gens and killers complain about gen rushing then survivors say its also a tactic and just survivors doing their objective. please don't defend scummy tactics and expect the other side to not use your own mindless tactics against you, this goes both ways so please stop.

I'm Kisa and I aprove this message!

That being said, genrushing is perfectly legitimate since that is our objective to complete them. But tunnling/camping is literally unfair for the player that's suffering it making them want to quit. How is getting gens done fast not part of the game? Tunneling/camping is for possessive, sore losers who cant handle playing the game as it was meant to be played. So killers. You have the upper hand. If you want to complain about not being able to stop gens from being done, maybe you should just play survivor.

  • You shouldnt have a problem running with perks that help you survive. Hell. I run Sprint Burst, Self Care, Stake Out, and Adrenaline. Helps me out in dire situations a lot and I can finish gens quick. It works for my play style. Do you. No use complaining if you win

Ah yes the amazing copy-paste definition from a super serious source called "ChangingMinds.org". Very good. This game also have a very distinct scenario of win-lose, that its so clear that you can depip with a 4k as a Killer, and much more. Love it <3

Ikr? Wonderful thing the internet, huh? What you refer to as "competitive gaming" is actually professional gaming. Even sports have those that arent actually anything professional yet are still competitive. Hell. Even wallball is competitive. Little game in school I'm sure you never heard of and if you have, congrats. Things are competitive as long as there is competition. Root word of competitive is compete. To compete is to go up against other people. Henceforth, competitive is p....v.....p..... and there you have it.

"For those who disagree, I'm not going to indulge your selfishness."

This is the most selfish thing I've seen here yet. You're basically saying that your point is absolute and anyone who has a counter point is wrong. Okay. Shut up and listen.

Point 1. What if my internet goes down? My internet is nothing I'm going to boast about. There have been many games where I have been enjoying myself and my internet dies. I'm at rank 1 now so I really don't care too much about my rank, but when I derank due to something that does not reflect my skill, it does hurt a little. What your suggesting would completely ruin the game for people having internet issues, as they have to A) lose their rank that they may have been working to get for multiple days. When I was starting off, getting from rank 11 to rank 10 was hard. I wasn't very good at the time and when I did get the rank 10 I felt a great sense of acomplishment. If my internet had died in the enxt game and I went all the way back to the start of rank 11 I would possibly have rage quit. B) My wifi is back up, but I still have to wait a full 15 minutes just to play again. I just lost a rank due to my internet going down, I'm not happy about it but to add insult to injury I have to sit and watch a timer. How fun. So yeah, this is just not fair to people who are already having a rough time.

Point 2. Smurfing. This new system will make getting from rank 1 to rank 15 easy af. 15 games, join and leave. Put on a movie and do it in the background. 15 minute wait, no problem. I wan't to mess with some new killers so lets go do it. The current system punishes DCers enough to deter it slightly, but still not make DCing worth it. The amount of games you need to join and leave is just too much to be worth it. Your suggestion changes that. Yeah, no.

Point 3. Can you tell me 1 genuine thing wrong with the current system? I think in my life playing DBD I have DC'd around 5 times due to being tunneled back to back and my patience is just gone. I'm not proud of it but I have done it. One of the main reasons I don't DC on toxic killer though, is that I don't want to lose my pips and have a cooldown. As I said, my rank means little to me now, but I do like being at rank 1 as I believe its where I'm getting the fairest and most fun games.

Your suggestion is unfair and unbalanced, and I would word this whole thing slightly nicer but you didn't show the same courtesy, so yeah, nah <3

The most selfish thing IS DCing. You leave everybody else to fend for themselves when even you being tunneled could help just enough to get gens done unless they suck, in which case it's still just thinking about myself. At least, me feeling like this and expressing it is attempting to help all those who have a problem with DCing. And if rank doesnt matter, they why do people care how low it is if the matchmaking is screwed up atm? That means rank 1 shouldnt have to worry about hard times finding groups. So what's the point? People wanna be idiots and waste their time not playing when they can waste their time playing, that's on them. But the people who want to play will think twice about DC'ing. And you can also set it to bump up the amount of time the penalty is the more you do it in a row. People with ######### internet connection? Shouldnt be playing at all anyways.

Thats not how it works. Competitive games are not any kind of PvP game, its meant for those games that actually have a professional scene, reason why being a higher rank in those game actually mean something, that is aiming to a professional level (Just take a look at all those other highly competitive games). And this game doesnt have that because of how the balance of the game is (especially because of the maps). Even tournaments for this game are a joke, a fun and entertaining joke, but a joke nonetheless. They cant even work properly without some weird rules because of how poorly the game is for a competitive scene. Humans are "toxic" everywhere, doesnt matter if the game is competitive or not, thats not even a reason to be toxic.

That aside the higher penaltys can be abused, and they are off right now because of how the system works. Adding more time to it will make no improvement at all, people will not stop quiting and people who quit or get a unfair dc penalty will just end up leaving. You dont need to restrict people from playing, you need to add more quality of life improvements. Punishment often end up doing the opossite of what they aim for, instead of preventing people from DC they will just leave the game.

Competitive games are those in which players play against one another and where one player winning means another player loses. Two player games are often competitive, with a distinct win-or-lose outcome.

Definition of competitive. Learn your stuff before coming here

I have Nancy at lvl 40, but I did it for inner strength. But I will give it a shot! Currently my set consists of Sprint Burst, Self Heal, Adrenaline, and Stake Out. I tend to be great at hiding and building tokens so I finish gens quickly

Freddy isn't on the switch!? How I would love this, no boring swing chain paint brush games.

    Yea. Freddy is the only killer missing. I'd play my ps4 version for him since I bought him on there but its broke atm ;-;

  • You dont get anything from competitive games for reaching rank 1 either. And if you think this is casual, then you need to fix your idea of what casual means. This is competitive. Pvp games are all competitive games because it's a competition between 1 killer and 4 survivors. And if it wasnt so competitive then majority of the players wouldnt be so damn toxic. It needs more strick rules for abandoning a match. You cant just escape a match in order to win either. You have to do specific things to gain rank as well. Its seriously needs to be addressed. And having a 15 min penalty will deter majority of players from DCing. Not all but most. Especially since when you DC, by the time you get to the main menu, your penalty is already up so it's like there is no penalty besides pip loss. Make them more severe and less people will do it. I played killer once and 3 people DC'ed as soon as I knocked them down first time. That's not fun at all and should be addressed. I also solo queued right after I got my switch version and 2 people DC'ed. It needs to be more severe

Um. What? You think.... pips mean... you play a lot? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! DUDE! HAHAHA! You could play this game for 30 years and still be at no higher than rank 10. AHAHAHAHAHA!!! It's not about how long but how good you play. My wife has played this only 3 months and is rank 2. Sprint burst is a well designed perk, not overtly strong or weak, and this thread shows why. So many ways to use it some better than others.

You could even argue that, much like self care, some people use SB so poorly it hurts them... I’m looking at you Mr Ace that literally walks from gen to gen, walks to rescue, etc to save his sprint burst and doesn’t realize how inefficient he’s being.

I was walking to gens long before I knew sprint burst was a thing. I find blending in and not showing scratch marks to be more beneficial than running round and having the killer find you. And before you say blendette, I'm a dwight main.

    What do you want then?

Line of Sight where you can see Myers from across the map or Protection by walls against stalking while in chase.

    You can't get both.

I still don't get it what is so bad about 99ing stalk. You only say basically that he can't punish you for the mistakes of others. What if I say that every killer has this tool from a certain point of view? A weak link hurts the whole team. Whether it is Oni or Myers, but also Freddy.

When I play my Deam Master I can punish the whole group after a quick chase with the weak link to use pop on their Gen. I capitalized on the mistakes of one to get the group.

Myers is no different. If you have no eyes like Demogorgon or your eyes hidden behind a giant Pyramid so you get stalked easily this is your problem or that of your team. Not that of the Killer's design.

And from what I can tell of the map and what happened to you, I dare say you THOUGHT you lost him (Maybe he had Monitor and Abuse) then ran to the Gen and leading him directly there. Crotus prenn is also very open except the main building and some jungle Gyms. He probably stalked you from distance (also GF can do this).

Open maps like most Auto Heaven, Crotus prenn, most MacMillan or Saloon are more difficult against Myers since you can't easily break LOS depending on your location. Lèry's is easiest against Myers. Many walls and windows I can use and break LOS and starving him.

Only out of curiosity. You said you play since 2017. How many hours do you have?

About 1500 hours on ps4, and 345 on switch.

And you completely missed what I said just like everybody else. Let me play this out for you so you can understand. But I wont hold my breath.

I'm working on a generator with good visual in Crotus Prenn with the cathedral.

    You with me?

Myers comes at us. And we scatter. He chases one of us staying right up our buts.

    Hope I havent lost you.

He periodically presses the power button while in chase, building up his stalk. Running around trying to get away from killer. Hiding and being found due to scratch marks and again, his nose so far up your butt he could smell what you had for dinner last week.

    Keep up now.

Then finally he disappears after a generator is done. So we make our way to another generator. Me and another player. Unfortunately its 1 surrounded with walls so no visual except ou a small window with no real visual except in that direct direction.

Here's the tricky part it seems since nobody listens.

Myers bursts into this walled area from 1 of 2 directions with no possible visual at all, and instantly puts us in exposed. All he had to do was lightly tap the button.

    You with me?

He downs the player with me then precedes to chase me. Nose so far up my rear I can taste his breath. I loop and he chases me. I jump through a window and he downs me just before expose wears off and he carrys me to a hook.

He did this 3 times to my team. Now granted my party members and I died at 1 gen left. But stalk is too bs with the ability to stock it up like that. It makes the game unfair

Nerf Spine Chill to stay lit up for 10 seconds even if the killer only glanced in your direction, and make the Exit Gate regress every time it is let go.

If you arent willing to spend a perk slot on Spine Chill, you are making too much use of other fun Perks. You choose your perks. You can't blame your perk choices on the Killer.

Nerf the exit gate so that if the killer looks at the exit gate, it is completely regressed. Survivors leaving the exit gate at 99 leaves the Killer with no way to smash it or regress, and the killer knows its a hopeless moment about to occur.

Also, if survivors are full health and they each one by one run by the killer standing in the exit gate, the survivors know the killer cant stop them and can escape with a single hit. If they all rush the exit gate, the killer can only stab one of them one time. The Killer should be granted NOED while standing in the exit gate, even if they didnt bring NOED.

The killer should be able to drag several bodies out of the exit gate at once, to prevent survivors from crawling out of the exit gate while killer can only hook one survivor.

Add two hooks inside the exit gate, so the killer can quickly hook two survivors and camp them in the exit gate. Survivors could still rescue and escape faster than killer could down them. It would make a fun story to share on media. Make these hooks permanent and cant be sabotaged, similar to basement hooks.

I really dont want spine chill nerfed... but its really powerful. xD

And no. Now you are just mocking me. And if you are serious you want the game more killer oriented.

After reading through some comments and also through your post, seeing what map you were playing on, and who you were playing with, I can safely say you weren't focused on your surroundings.

Before you decide to defend yourself and state that you are looking at your surroundings...

If Myers had the ability to 99 your whole group, it means that you weren't looking around. He can be easily spotted if you are actually scanning the area, because Myers wouldn't reach T3 three times if you and your team were efficient in noticing that he was stalking you. You are in third person, you have the ability to see if he is coming around a corner or not.

Also Crotus Prenn is a very open map, meaning that Myers can see you clear as day

And Fun fact: Scratched Mirror Myers wouldn't work on CP, the map is too big for him to move efficiently.

Myers was released nearly 4 years ago, October 26, 2016.

Only now people are complaining about him? Is this because the viable killers are getting nerfed currently? Beating Myers is possible, it just means that you need the effort of looking around your surroundings and there you go. He's not OP, the character isn't OP at all. If he was based like the movie Myers he would not give a crap about pallets or walls, and he wouldn't give a crap about hooking you either.

Just because a killer beats you, doesn't make them op

You didnt read any of the comments then. Almost every Myers I face rushes in. We respond and run away. During run away he periodically stops to stalk while keeping up the chase building up on the stalk meter then at 99 he disappears. You get to a generator (and most generators in crotus are enclosed in walls SO YOU CANT SEE ANYWHERE TO WATCH FOR HIM) and he bursts in, tapping the power button and swings. BAM! INSTA DOWN WITH NO REACTION TIME! And then he gets in chase and tunnels till next person is down. He did this process 3 times. So no. Actually read before you post. Dont assume you know what I'm saying cause its obvious you don't.

  • 1 of the medals you get end game requires being chased by the killers. So majority of players think they can use Sprint to give a quick chase and escape. Now for me, I save it all the time cause of scratch marks. I dont want the killer to happen upon them. But I generally use it to get to a gen quickly then work on it. By the time killer reaches me my exhaustion is gone and I make a quick escape. Or I'm walking through hoping the killer doesnt notice me then burst out when I find they do. Stop making everybody seem like trolls. (FYI I know trolls do exist but sprint is more strategic than a tool to poke fun

  • I used to use bond but I decided to use a very unpopular build that I find much better in solo queues. I never got into kindred either.

  • @LuffyBlack said:

Like I'm trying my best not to be insulting but the responses read like someone who isn't fully familiar with the game just yet. Ghostface could be beaten by getting exposed, you're playing the game in third person so it's not that hard to spot him just be aware of your surroundings. I will be fair and say that GF needs to be fixed, something's up with his expose which either doesn't work sometimes or cause it to be delayed but Michael? He has to literally drain your whole team person by person and to have infinite stalk, he has to use a tuff of hair and judith's tombstone which hinders him throughout the entire match because he loses movement speed.

Tell that to the 5 different times I've dealt with a full speed Myers that went the whole match with us exposed. Dude I'm not new and I've seen these things a million times. Great players getting taken down instantly due to 99 or infinite exposed. And seconds after the game starts. It's not always easy to spot him or gf either. Both of them are way too difficult to deal with. More times then not, I survive but at the cost of my whole team who spends a lot of time looping him as he does his little tapping of the stalk button, building it up during a chase. And even if you lose the killer it's easy to pick up scratch marks to continue the chase. He is not balanced at all.

  • Hell yea. Nerf gf too. They both need it and I'm 100% sure bhvr can figure a way to buff him more then nerf him. He need a nerf with whatever tf you guys want as a buff

How comes it then that I never really had problems against him?

High walls are there to make loops mindgamable. Which is good.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1500086#Comment_1500086

99ing gates.. OK, but 99ing hooks? This is not possible anymore since at least 3 (or was it 6?) months. You were not around lately I guess.

So basically Myers, Ghost Face and Oni are unfair then? Because they chose when they unleash their power (burst)?

Sorry to say that, but it never felt unfair to me. Not when I was was a noob 2 years ago, and certainly not now.

The only thing that pisses me of against Myers is when I get Tombstoned the first time I see that guy. My anger is not against the Killer's design but more against my mates stupidity to give him all the stalk. That's it. Myers strength is 99ing.

If you really have problems against him, then really try to get used to spine chill. Otherwise Object, if you are more aggressive, Premonition if you have trouble getting the direction he is in. Also Bond or Empathy show you where the chase is and kindred shows you the direction he walks after a hook.

Else I can't help you. Myers doesn't need a nerf. His stalk is more restricted than that of Ghost Face. 99ing is OK. Tier 1 needs a buff. Trash add-ons (mirror shards, jewelry, lock of hair, Vanity Mirror) need a rework/buff and Scratched Mirror needs immunity again. But else he is fine.

High walls make it impossible to see the killer while working gens and it's hard to not feed him when he rushes you at a gen and then sits there and stalks you periodically in the chase, tunneling you till 99 then disappears

How would you get rid of this ability without taking away player freedom? Would exit gates, generators, healing progress, and stalking progress all regress when not actively being increased?

Tbh, yes. You stay wounded for extended periods would actually make it worse so I'm pretty sure that would be a realistic feature. Charge for the doors could deplete over time if you dont fully charge it so that would work as a feature. You run a broken generator, over time it should start falling apart. That's a legitimate way to solve 99ing

I mean, making fragrant tuft of hair part of his default base kit would get rid of that 99 problem you don't like...

    Still would be op af

I thought it was all about resource management and building up the most you can before you need to use it?

99ing is not fair. Some 99ing is more unfair then others. But it gives advantage to one side more then the other and highly infuriating. It makes things no fun

I've never had a problem with 99s before, and I play 50/50. I just run spine chill and I'm good, take away myers surprise EW3 and what does he have? Some addons that either are worthless depending on the map or they take forever to activate. I like myers as he is now. If anything I'd say he needs to be buffed.

All they have to do is take away his capability to 99 and then buff his add-ons and other capabilities. I mean hell I was in a match where his expose lasted the whole game from beginning to end of an hour long match. He is not weak at all

36 Meters. If they're looking at you for more than 2 seconds you should be cautious.

he left me in my match after I lost him. Then I get to a generator and before I could do anything he bursts in and instantly downed my partner

That's like saying "I was injured (broken) and i wasn't paying attention and got downed".

+would mean that also GF needed to be nerfed (which wouldn't really hurt him cause he mostly never uses that mechanic).

I dont even know if I wanna respond to this cause..... just no dude. 2 different situations... just no

  • @LapisInfernalis said:

What you describe is the standard Myers tactics. You want to nerf an already power creeped killer further? You know that Ghost Face can also do similar? Oni can also save his power to use it when he wants. And he doesn't have to 99 it.

I may say that I am quite experienced in DBD (reaching 3k hrs soon). I can tell you this: Your team decides what Myers is capable of. If they feed him in the beginning... well good luck. If they starve him, he will have a hard time to get anything done.

99ing is not unfair. Everyone should be careful not to kill their mates with their stupidity. Myers power feeds on careless Survivors, tbaggers etc. to use it on stronger opponents. The weak link in the team punishes the strong. That is how Myers works.

If you'd nerf that, Myers would be very weak.

99ing isnt fair on all sides. 99ing hooks and doors for survivors is bullshit and not fair to the killer. 99ing instant down abilities is not fair to survivors.

If you would do that he would be a worse Ghost Face.

    No thanks.

Your statement here would also mean to nerf Oni, singe he can do the same. Hit others, walk to your Gen and use his 60s insta down.

I play with Spine Chill 24/7 and I had never a problem with low TR killers like Myers. Just hide if the icon lights up constantly (not in the locker, though!).

I got never surprised by him at a Gen. Even if he used EWIII later during the chase, I had some extra distance.

Also I can recommend using your eyes. Myers is very tall. I can understand missing a crouching Ghost Face, but not Myers.

Most maps have high walls that make sight difficult to see. Only ones that really dont are cold wind and Macmillan. Red forest has trees or buildings, crotus has high walls, grave of glenvale has lots of buildings, and then indoor maps. So no. Most maps its extra difficult to see him coming.

  • I've used Spine Chill but the radius make it difficult to tell how close they are so doesn't exactly help. And mind you, he left me in my match after I lost him. Then I get to a generator and before I could do anything he bursts in and instantly downed my partner by instantly putting us into exposed. That's the only thing that needs nerfing. Hell buff whatever the hell you think he needs but his stalk needs to be just like everything else with a charge and need to recharge if you dont use it. It's not balanced at all

Unless at main building, there's legit no way for him to sneak up on you.

And maybe you should start using Spine Chill if he's a problem for you?

Do you know how many walls and hiding spots there are for killers in crotus?

Out of curiosity, how experienced are you?

    Been playing since 2017

  • And all of you say he weak but I'm always the last 1 alive against him. Whatever Meyers you guys are playing against are ######### players, or you cant play him because Meyers always catches everyone. I do loop him and I always jump through windows yet he always is able to land the hit. He is not weak.

What you’re referring to is his scratched mirror add-ons which are only viable on indoor maps. On any other map it’s a guaranteed loss as long as the survivors are half-decent. And also considering you have sprint burst as your icon, let’s talk about how people can 99% their sprint burst during chases and use it to just get away. Don’t you think that’s unfair. And I recommend running spine chill. Then you’ll know if he’s stalking you within 32-ish meters

Yes. Let's talk about how I use my sprint burst to run across the map, work on a gen, my exhaustion goes away, then when killer comes at me, it activates again, and killer still chases me even though it activated. 99 my ass. Let's talk about your whining of sprint burst?

He is the definition of a balanced killer. Including with that add on as on most maps it doesn't work well and you have a considerably slow movement speed and very short lunge.

He is in no way balanced as long as he can 99 his stalk. It's unfair to have the killer burst into a room and instantly put you into exposed status. All I'm asking is it be given s timer on how long it stays 99'd or make it reset instead of him chasing you continuously and steadily building it to 99. It's not balanced at all

  • @Uistreel said:

Imagine thinking default Myers is 'unfair and ridiculous'

oh no. I know he gets even more unfair. Like his ability to see through walls. He is the pinnacle of a bs killer

  • I find changing killers to match survivors to be the dumbest strategy ever in the first place. I take out almost every team with just the doctor or even Legion. It doesnt matter at all. The survivors all play the same and there is no need at all, especially with teachable perks. That being said, I dont believe that killers should be locked. That is even more dumb to me. I sometimes just decide to play another last second so it shouldnt be a problem. It doesnt balance anything at all
