No Mither, Mettle Of Man, Self-Care and Inner Strength.

The very fact that people consider LGBT characters 'political' (just as many consider female characters who's breasts aren't the size of watermelons 'political') is exactly why we need better representation in media. They'll cry about it being "SJW" as if that actually means anything. It's basically saying "Don't include a minority group because I'm uncomfortable with that minority group."

Why are all the hags in solo Q so bad then?
I run into a lot of terrible Nurse's. Guess she's not top tier either, then.
-
Um yeah, Hag is one of the best killers in the game hands down. Next to Spirit and Nurse, she's one of the most popular killers to play in tournaments.
-
Once DS and OoO get their coming nerfs, I don't think any perks will be 'overpowered'. Then again, I don't think OoO was 'overpowered' as much as it was 'unfun to play against'. Of all killer perks, NoED fits in that category.
If anything, many perks are underpowered. This goes for survivor and killer. I look at perks, and think to myself: "Why would I ever use that?"

He’s about hag level strong if I was to rate him. He used to be in the top 3, now he’s in the bottom 3. Basically I haven’t really played against a good Billie since the nerf.
Hag is in the Top 3 killers, as agreed by most people.

I'm guessing we'll get a licensed character for the 5th anniversary. They probably don't want to do back to back licensed characters.

As long as they're not shooting rainbows out of their mouth, I really don't care.
Just give a good backstory and perks that aren't worthless and it's a successful, decent survivor.
A killer that shoots rainbows from their mouth would be pretty cool. MAKE IT HAPPEN BHVR.

I can understand both sides.
Yes, representation is extremely important and the media is the best place to show it.
However, you could argue that dbd is a game all about working cooperatively and trying to survive a merciless killer, and therefore, representation isn't a top priority.
Not sure what one has to do with the other, or how including LGBTQ+ representation would allegedly detract from working cooperatively.
-
Blackwater Swamp on both sides. Coldwind isn't far behind.
-
Well, you can go play Fortnite if you want. I'll stick with DBD.
-
Nobody runs into OoO SWF squads more than like maybe 2% of the time.
-
Both sides have double standards. That's why I don't listen to complaints/arguments made by people who don't regularly play both sides. Their opinions just aren't worth hearing.
-
Fraidey.
-
I hate this bug. I kept getting juked by an Adam on Coldwind, only to realize that Adam was dead all along. Getting juked by a ghost.
-
The new killer will be able to place 'markers' on the map, and rewind to them at an increased speed. Like you can set a marker at a generator, chase a survivor, then 'return' to the generator at a movement speed of 13.33 m/s. Basically Nurse, but with predetermined locations set up ahead of time.
-
No. Killers need to know what items a survivor is bringing. Seems perfectly fair to give them a little preparation to counter said items.
-
Trapper definitely wasn't nerfed. He's much better to play as now. Like.. yeah, you can't have a survivor in a trap for 2 minutes. But you also get the tradeoff that survivors are very unlikely to escape on the first attempt. The tradeoff is 100% worth it, because now you have a chance to actually get to the survivor you downed.
And yeah, the last patch made the game extremely rough for survivors.
-
As I said in another topic, next tome will have this challenge:
We hate you
While using the perk "No Mither" and "Mettle of Man" get Mettle of Man to activate.
-
Future challenges from the Devs:
We Hate you
While running the perk "No Mither" and "Mettle of Man" get Mettle of Man to Activate.
We really hate you
While running the perk "No Mither" and "Mettle of Man" get Mettle of Man to Activate twice. Complete this in one trial.
Vomit Comet
Down 3 survivors within 30 seconds with Corrupt Purge. Complete this in one trial.

And For the People doesn't work.
I guess you have to finish healing them up from the dying state. Seems like a poorly thought out challenge.
-
Ugh. I figured as much. So basically "Pray the killer slugs a lot." Not a fan of challenges that are so heavily dependent on your opponent cooperating.
-
Unlock it on a different killer if you can.
-
Keys are getting nerfed soonish. Just takes a bit more work than Mori's.
I hate seeing keys in a lobby as survivor more than killer. As a killer, I just act a little more cautious about who I kill. As a survivor, I know my teammates are PROBABLY going to leave me behind once we get enough gens done. Oh sure, once in a while I have teammates that make sure I get out. But most games they HOP OUT on me, and I'm stuck hoping to get the exit gate and praying the killer doesn't have whispers.
-
I hope the new killer has fire powers. I JUST WANT TO SET THINGS ON FIRE OKAY?
-
A win is having survivors who don't teabag you. Either because you killed em' all, or because they're good sports. In the case of the former, it's particularly funny if they try to teabag you at the hatch, but you end up closing it on them.

This could be too abusable for SWF groups or just survivors in general especially because of WGLF.
I mean Soul Guard already does this.
-
I'd just give it the BT effect. Sure, we already have Soul Guard. But this would be applied to your teammates, rather than yourself.
-
Keys, DS + Unbreakable are also tactics.

I think the challenge states to kick x gens, so it's the kick that counts, not the regression
Actually it just says "Damage"

Perk List:
Duct Tape Master
Your ability to improvise allows you to create a weapon and strike back at the killer! This perk will spawn 3 item parts and a work station on the map in random spots. Once assembled, you can hit the killer and stun them for a duration of 2 seconds. Item has a durability of 1/2/3 uses. Item takes 10 seconds to assemble once all parts are retrieved. After using the item, you will be exposed for 10 seconds.
"I've covered Wars, you know."
Costume Party
Your ability to change in a pinch allows you to take on the appearance of the last survivor you unhooked. Hop in a locker for 7/5/3 seconds and when you come out, you'll appear as the survivor you just unhooked for 40/45/50 seconds. You can remove your disguise at any time by pressing the active button.
“Take off that mask and let me get a shot of the real you!”
Man of the people
Your desire to save other people allows you to hasten those you save. After unhooking a survivor, they will run 7% faster for 20/25/30 seconds.
"It's Frank... Frank West. Remember that name 'cause the whole world's gonna know it in three days... when I get the scoop."
-
It's still tunneling, but it's the teammate's fault. Personally, I prefer to punish the unhooker than the person who got unhooked, since its not their fault for getting unhooked.
-
It's fair. If they wait too long, the other survivors aren't being pressured anyway and can get out.
-
I teabag at the exit gate and click my flashlight a billion times per match. Am I cool yet?!
-
Walter Bishop was here?! (Hopefully someone will get the reference)
-
Pig has a lot of problems, honestly. Her traps are good, but she has practically no chase ability. She's also way too slow in stealth. I mean if she and Nurse were in a race over 40 meters, Nurse without blinking would beat her by .7 seconds. As strong as her traps are, she needs some help in chase in exchange for more balanced traps.
Pig's one of those killers who if you're better in a chase than the survivors, unless you get totally screwed by RNG you're probably going to 3 or 4k. But if you have 4 survivors who are good in chase, then you're going to have a MUCH harder time than you would with pretty much any other killer, who have some method of dealing with chases. And if Pig isn't getting any downs, she's not using her primary power at all. (Which is limited as it is, and restricted to before the generators get down)
Pig needs some reworking IMO. Not too much. She needs some trade off, so she has an anti-loop ability that is stronger than what she has (which, while not useless, is easily countered most of the time, and a bit too punishing when you miss)
-
Nurse, Spirit and Hag all have strong abilities. Nurse and Spirit can get very quick downs, while Hag doesn't care about gen pressure at all.
Huntress has range. Freddy has a LOT of powers, though he's a little weaker in the end game. Oni has a one shot ability, with great snowball potential. Pyramid Head can control a chase very well, and counters perks like DS.
Deathslinger is pretty strong, but lacks mobility (but has strong stealth). Blight has amazing Mobility. Doc has good tracking and slowdown. Leatherface has a good one-shot down. Plague is criminally underrated. She pretty much ensures the players either play broken, or give her a very strong power. Plague is very strong.
Ghostface has a decent power, but it takes too long for it to recover making him a tad add-on dependent. Reduce the time for him to recover, and he'd be A tier. Billy's cooldown hurts him a little, but he's still very strong with good mobility. The Twins are amazing at slugging, but they have to slug to do much.
Clown's buff moves him up a tier IMO. But just barely. Legion's power still can't down anyone. Demogorgon is very add-on dependent. Myers tier 1 is too restrictive.
Wraith is too add-on dependent. Trapper is too add-on dependent. There's just too many times he'll be stuck without a power without a very specific add-on. Pig is at the bottom, despite being fairly lethal. Her power is pretty strong, trouble is against really good survivors you won't get much use out of it. She doesn't have much help ending chases, and her stealth clocks in at weaker than Wraith's. The thing about Pig is that she doesn't even have any add-ons that will help if you're really struggling in a match. Most of her addons depend on you actually getting helmets put on survivors heads.

It's Samara! (If only...)
-
SWF.
-
The pip system is pretty messed up right now tbh. Makes ranking up a pain because you'll find yourself depipping a lot more than you should.
-
Find their weakest chaser. Focus on him, but keep in mind that he almost certainly has DS. The idea isn't to tunnel him, but to get his team to take hits for him. This makes them easier to down, and keeps them off Generators. (Keeping two people off of gens for a chase is better than keeping one off generator for a chase).
-
@Pulsar said:
People will still bring it.
It'll just be used less offensively. Bad Survivors who relied on it as a bailout perk will drop in Rank and Survivors who legitimately got tunneled will see no difference.
I disagree. I think it'll be used more offensively. Good survivors will use it to chase the killer instead of the other way around.
-
How I'd nerf it: I wouldn't. It's fine as it is.

Hawkins ain't getting an update is it?
and well tunnel me sideways, I forgot there was still 2 other realms. IIRC Haddonfield has been confirmed to be next so that one will be before coldwind.
mother's dwelling could do with losing 50 miles or so of space while they're updating it
Did they say it isn't? That's... disappointing. Only maps that won't have breakable walls then will be Hawkins and Lerys.
-
Realms yet to be reworked:
Coldwind
Blackwater
Haddonfield
Red Forest
Hawkins
I'd say Haddonfield needs reworked more than any other.
-
If Killers keep complaining about Dead Hard, I'm going to start complaining about Devour Hope. There's very good arguments for nerfing it significantly.
-
If you don't like Dead Hard, just use Unrelenting.
-
Yeah, let's not let people play with their friends. That surely won't kill the game. </s>
-
I mean it's one thing to be playing against the killer. But with Plague -- at least in Solo Que (and some bad SWF teams) you're also going against your team because they will literally cleanse every chance they get, turning Plague into Machine Gun Huntress.
