  • To an extent yes. Some things could still use a bit bigger updates like early game, solo experience, mories/keys but other then that everything is good enough let's say.

In terms of killer powers, I think not a single killer needs huge rework right now. Some weak/old killers could use updates to bring them to to level of current killers and some of the strong ones could use some small nerfs, nothing huge really.

A lot of these "no counterplay" issues are based more on the opinions like "I don't like it so it should be changed" then it beiing actual problem. But that's ofc just how I see it.

  • That's exactly one of the reasons I want training mode like DBD mobile has. I hope devs will add it as soon as possible.

  • This only works assuming your teammates do those gens which they usually don't.

  • Wow

I need to go play Michael right now.

  • No, he isn't harder to learn then nurse. He has low FOV and hard locks on angles in his power which makes it difficult to use but not hard, it's restricting, not hard. His main learning curve is awerness and map knowledge, everything else is almost brainless due to the limits put on him.

I'm glad for anyone liking this design but imao it's horrible and I wish it never came out. But that's just my two cents.

He's been out on PTB for weeks. You can read the patchnotes to see what's been changed.

I know that not that much changed, I'm talking about skill in terms of outplaying loops. When Deathslinger came out and for a few months after, many believed (and still believe) that he's countered by pallets and don't realise half the amout of tiles he can easily win and get hits on.

I want to see really good Blitght players who used him on all maps countless time and know how to play all tiles really well which takes a lot of time to learn since you need to vs good survivors and get perfect timing, turning, lunge etc to make some hits possible. You can't say that someone already mastered him on all maps vs high level survivors but ofc if you do then please show me any god blight who uses his power to it's completely full limit, not just spams it when it's easy/medium difficulty hit.

He might be decent but if no really good blight main players appear in next 1-2 month then I'll lose hope for him beiing decent. Right now, I can't say how good he is since no good blight players exist that I know of yet.

How does someone mastering him make him upper mid tier? He's been around for how long now on the PTB, the changes that went live are minimal, as usual. He's a ######### killer with one decent perk and 2 mediocre perks, which is even worse than what we're used to.

That's why I said probably, I have no idea if he can actually do some decent turns around loops. It might be possible so I want to want until I see someone how can play him well, not just mediocrely. It's the same as not judging nurse by people who suck with her skilled gameplay wise.

  • I knew from PTB that he's a boring disappointment for me so I didn't bother for the first time using money to buy his chapter.

Once someone masters him he'll probably be a decent upper mid tier killer probably but that won't change how boring he is imao.

  • I hope devs will evenutally revert this "fix".

  • 2

I´ve never been so disappointed with a chapter before. Fist time I´ll buy a chapter with IR shards insted of money since DBD´s release.

  • Some people don't like his playstyle which is fine. Problem lies when they force their own vision of "fun/fairness" which are subjective on others and call something badly designed and demand unneeded changes.

  • Trapper and hag equally. I hate to play against trapping killers so much. I manage to direct myself into every single trap they place somehow and even when I don't still really dislike their gameplay, for me it's boring.

On the other hand I love facing strong chasing power killers like spirit, nurse or deathslinger who others usually hate to vs. Their gameplay is extremely enjoyable and exciting for me.

Yes I have time you want to play custom or swf? My match is nearly over all gens done.

Probably a few matches of custom.

That would be a good idea...if Lucky Break were the only perk in the game, but since you can pair it with Iron Will, Quick and quiet and Lightweight, it can become kinda problematic for the killer to keep track of you. This perk should better:

Still have a 3 minutes timer, but the timer goes down only when you are running, if you crouch, walk, do an action, etc. and you are injured, the timer for this perk pauses and you still leave no blood pools.

Synergy is large part of why some perks are good. If you're commiting your entire build just to be hard to track then it should be good and not just meh or temporary.

Lucky break right now is pretty much never used since the limitation on it sucks hard. Almost no one would use IW if it had similar conditions holding it back. It's not like you become invisible, killer can still predict your movement, follow scatch marks or you'll just be stuck in some open spot with little to now LOS blockers.

Most maps have a lot of grass which already makes tracking blood difficult while you run so buffing lucky break to be permanent wouldn't be as problematic as you paint it to be. It would still be off meta build, survivors wouldn't drop their second chance perks to fully commint their entire build to steatlh/juking build.

  • Lucky break, make it permanent as iron will is.

They have no counterplay. Spirit is a heavily killer sided guess, and slingers shot is not humanly possible to react to. Spirit needs a rework, slinger is fine, as he has low pressure.

They have counterplay, you just don't like it since it doesn't favor you. I never said it was easy to counter them but claiming that your skill as survivors doesn't matter vs them is such a lie. Both require you to be unpredictable which is very hard since they have the upper hand in making their prediction on you, that still doesn't mean you can't do anything about them in chase.

  • @hillbillyclaudmain69 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1599809#Comment_1599809

All of your examples are balanced but spirit, as she has mobility and the second best chase power in the game. However, i do agree with you that survivors have broken things too. But the thing is, those killers do need rework/nerfs, and so do the broken things on the survivor side. The devs don't seem to get that you shouldn't be adding broken ######### to counter other broken #########. You just fix the broken #########.

No killer right now needs any serious rework. Some small nerfs to a few of top tier killers are warranted but demaning full rework to killers like spirit or slinger with main argument that they don't have counterplay which is false is unjustified.

  • Survivors mostly argue that as killer you can counter pretty much everything survivors do and it's true. You truly can counter everything survivors do as killer, be it goldy looping when you play M1 killer, great SWF coordination poping all gens in 5 min or any extremely strong perk combo etc.

Although what they often forget to add is that it costs TIME, a lot of it actually. And once you're out of it, you lose.

It really annoys me that then later they complain about killers like nurse, deathslinger, PH or spirit who can put up with some or all of this and demand more "fair" counterplay to make their matches vs them less boring. Pity they almost never consider killer's fun when demaning these changes to make their gameplay more fun but that's nothing new. Some of these suggested changes are fair to an extent but so many of them are just complete overkills.

I wish everyone just stopped with this constant spam of "no counterplay/unfair/boring" on both sides and just played the game without qutting the first time something doesn't go their way. If anything needs changes provide some reasonable feedback and if it's a legitimate issue devs will eventually change it. Both sides have annoying hard to counter tools they can use and all of them could use some changes but demaning changes to one side whie dismissing the issues of the other is so hypocritical.

  • Mories do need a nerf but the change that makes them into death hook purely imao is horrible. Why would anyone use a mori when it would with almost all killers took longer to mori someone then it would take to kill them via hook. Some mori animations are long af and as someone who many times used mori only on last hook I know how horrible and near worthless such change would make them.

I think the idea with making mori activate after getting 4 (or even more if it proves to be still too strong) random hooks is much better since it prevents instant off first hook mori tunnel and give survivors far more breathing room before moti activates and make a huge swing.

  • Welcome, I hope you'll enjoy your stay here.

  • It sucks to have short matches but you can't really blame them for playing to win, even if it's boring 5min genrush.

It's hard to play "for fun" in red ranks on both sides since main goal will always to be winning.

My advice would be to play killers you like and once you get too many bad matches just use mori to ensure you'll have a lot more control over next game. If survivors you get play for fun and aren't sweaty, last hook mori them and if they rush you then just straight insta-mori their asses.

If that doesn't help you can ofc always use meta build+mori on spirit. Whatever suits you really.

  • Hey man, I'm just happy that Bubba is on par with other top tier chasing killers now. If survivors can't beat you, you're a really good LF player and you deserve to win. Bubba isn't so all powefull that best survivor teams couldn't beat him so the players you face need to step up their gameplay.

Also you can always use just the first charge of your saw and pretend the other don't exist and you'll be basically playing old bubba if you miss his old reach since that's the main thing that changed.

  • SWF is would be fine if DBD was balanced around it. Buffing solos survivor's informations during the match + better MMR to not get matched with potatoes who suck at everything and every high ranked game would be almost equally strong as any good SWF. Then buffing all killers to be able to deal with it and the chances are equalized for both sides without nefing SWF or changing it in any way.

  • I use them decently often as DS main. Tbh they aren't as horrible as people say they are, the effects are very strong yet the problem is that they're difficult to use.

Getting confirmed longshots isn't really all that easy vs good survivors and that they're very situational doesn't help. Still, many people using IRI coin will miss their opportunities to land it by either getting too close, injuring or just straight out missing and LOS.

The iron can be good but it really depends on how much survivors group up. TR is pretty low on DS so with turning beiing as limited as it is you can't get too much info from it pretty much never.

My opinion is that they're fine, all of DS addons are pretty mediocre with a few exceptions. I like it though, having super game chaning addons can be fun but also opressive. I wouldn't mind a rework or a buff on a few of them but I don't think it's necessary.

Well we have a few bad things too!

-No bloodwebs, you have to play each character to level 40

    -Can't buy Oni with shards

-Besides that Ace outfit, limited cosmetics compared to Pc/Console

-Map, killer, and survivor selections are all halved

-Some killers are super weak on there compared to other platforms (Nurse is literally trash on mobile)

-Breathing volume doesn't matter unless you have iron will because there is a little sound indicator that shows you where survivors are

    Feel Better?

(i'm not hating on dbd mobile and I understand why all of these things exist / don't exist in the game.)

I know it's not all roses & rainbows but man, it's just so pretty. I'll get over myself eventually but right now only thing I see is the insane desire to own that beatitful cosmetic.

  • So what if she has a trap there. Use BT and do saves when healthy and both of you escape. Or even better, use a flashlight.

There are far superior camping killers then adonless hag.

  • If he's bad/mediocre, abuse vaults, turning around obstacles and mainly don't be caught out of position.

If he's good/great, you need a perfect timing on your pallet stuns or get a good chain for window tiles.

If you face a really good LF you'll have a really hard time unless your teammates sit on those gens like there's no tomorrow.

  • I think DBD wiki is broken right now. For whatever reason all the number values were deleted from the descriptions. I don't know about any other site that would give details as well put as DBD wiki used to so I'm just hoping it will get fixed eventually.

  • Well the same goes for survivors. If you can't play certain killer at high level, don't make bold accusations that he's OP or weak.

They can have any opinion they want though yet It's not like "survivor is easy" was ever solid argument to begin with in any serious discussion.

  • Self care is a very good perk when it's used correctly. If someone is misusing it to heal in a corner vs sloppy, thana legion then it's not fault of SC but the person using it. It's as gen efficient as someone healing you (2 people healing 16s = 32s overall versus 1 person healing 32s) and you still spare the time of finding a teammate.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rCMYHDf-U4

  • Freddy's only good because he has all those things combined. If you remove his mobility, he becomes worse clown, if you remove his puddles he becomes powerless M1 killer chase wise. The passive sleeping is nice but people overestime how much impact it actually has. There are so many ways to wake up that it's not really hard to stay awake as long as you want to.

I don't think some very slight nerfs would hurt him too much but nothing larger then slight number nerfs. We want good killers so that there is diversity, nefing freddy is horrible decision. Again, having strong killers is good for DBD, if anything more killers should be around his power level.

  • I think that the mori idea should be 4 hooks overall, not on all individual survivors. That gives far too much control into hands of SWF to deny the mori until everyone besides 1 of them hiding would be on death hook. 4 hooks overall before it can be used still prevents the instant off first hook tunnel mori and gives survivors breathing room.

  • I've had this bug only once during 4 years of playing DBD, a huntress game. Tbh I didn't bother and just DCed since this is imao DC worthy problem. I was in no mood to torture myself.

As others said it's really rare.

  • Can we buff him to the point where it's warranted insted ?

  • Well since medium vaults don't carry the same momentum as fast vaults that 1s exta is the regaining of lost momentum after preforming the medium vault. Reverting back to fast vaults from any direction is the most skilless decision devs could take.

I'm all for fixing the servers so that bad hits stop screwing survivors but to make medium vaults stronger just because is imao a very bad decision. Good survivor already manage to force fast vaults on almost all windows besides the few that are desgined by the devs to be forced medum vaults.

  • Maybe people disagree with your posts because your're focusing on the wrong aspect of survivor buffs. You're asking to "change the killers so they are more fair in chase" but that generally means add more annoying cooldowns / restrictions on killer powers making them boring and annoying to use. Ofc people who enjoy to use or vs these killers will hate it and disagree with you.

Posts that ask for buffing weak survivor perks or general solo survivor buffs that won't empower SWF are usually quite well accepted.

Maybe nerfing/changing killers isn't the way to go in terms of balancing DBD and strong killers (even when sometimes partially unfair) are fine and the real issue that cause frustration with survivors lies in different core problems of DBD then killlers and their powers.

  • Well that sucks for you, I like facing deathslingers. I'd take him every match rather then facing trappers or hags, I hate vsing those two.

Fun is pretty subjective, isn't it. Just because one group of players doesn't like it doesn't mean that there aren't other people who enjoy to vs such killer.

  • I don't mind getting killer with mobility power (even when I find him insanely boring in terms of power design) but in terms of fairness doesn't he just do basic M1 looping and once the pallet is down if obstacles around loop allow it he gets a free hit due to his speed. That's pretty weird idea on fun interaction if it's purely based on RNG spawn of obstacles.

Maybe once he gets updated I'll change my opinion but right now he either gets free hits after pallet break if map spawns rubbish favorably for him or not if it doesn't.

No I'm not like that I wont use it against you not as argument purposes I will attempt to help you improve against slinger but this is good you might see his flaws facing against mine sound fair?

I'm glad to hear that. Just to make it crear tho, I know that DS is very hard to beat in 1v1, in the not as many as I'd like matches I had I've had vs slingers between all those that were bad I've had a few who were really good so I know that if slinger plays extremely well he'll down you super fast. For me it's just fun to vs killer like that, I love facing killers who most players don't like to vs due to their strong chase power like PH, nurse, spirit, slinger, etc even if I go down early and die etc.

I know many hate that but since I love those playstyles I defent them so that they don't get the nurse treatement whom I loved to face but after her "rework" I hardly see her once in 10 games unlike before it.

So with all that clear and if's it's just for fun then I'd love to have a few matches vs slinger.

Ok good just wanted to make sure we are on the same page. His power is disgusting his guesses like you admitted are heavily in his favor. that is not fair. I'm gonna leave it at that because you still have refused my offer to 1v1 and show me how you make all these "educated predictions" so consistently.

You are another killer main who cant back up their claim.

This is offtopic so it's bypassing my no more discussing final statement.

Tbh I wouldn't mind some practice vs slinger. Whenver I play survivor I can't get to face him, everyone plays M1 killers or spirit. I've never said I can do "educated predictions so consistently" I don't know where you found that, I've just said that he has counterplay that's very hard to pull off and requires a lot of experince and knowledge about DS.

If you want I wouldn't mind a few matches of 1v1 vs slinger on one condition that you won't be using it as argument material since I know I'm not a great survivor since when I play DBD I enjoy killer much more so I lack a lot of chase experience as survivor. I know this might bite me and you'll forever use a few matches of me sucking vs slinger as proof that he doesn't have counterplay to silence any of my opinions but I really enjoy facing him and getting better so if it's just for fun I wouldn't mind getting a bit better vs slinger since I can't get almost any normal matches vs him.

Ofc I don't want to waste your time since I'll probably go down pretty early so take it as you will. As I said it's more of a for fun 1v1 and not some me wanting to show you how to counter DS since I know that I'm not someone who's good at chases vs all killers in the first place.

  • @azame said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1562105#Comment_1562105

You are mocking it because it is a truth your movement doesnt matte riff the deathslinge has good aim and can track. He shoot some fast you cant react.

A 1v1 is proof I was planning on doing multiple chases with anyone if they do want to challenge me but no one including you will because you understand you lack the skills to prove this claim of yours. All the counterplay is simply a bunch of guesses like "dodge when he shoots" now you have to guess when he does the quickshot. Link me those videos of survivors "outplaying slinger" when this not a guess. It's like that video where otz was looping a spirit and he himself said it's just guessing. You can definitely loop a slinge if you win the guesses.

Once again if you truly believe in your claim why do you still refuse to show it. We can do multiple chases just stop wit jb the excuses that I dismiss all counter when in reality it's all just x perk or guess this way or that way.

I really didn't want to reply anymore but I gotta tell you this so that I can close this off hopefully permanently.

His counterplay is "GUESSES" if that's how you want to call educated predictions that you do vs every killer in all chases even in normal M1 wraith chases when you don't see each other you're doing these. You just can't swallow that DS brings it to the next level and he forces you to do them much more often and that he as killer has the advantage in them.

Guesses are a huge part of DBD and they occur vs every killer in every chase, some smaller, some bigger. Some more survivor favored, some more killer favored. You're stuck in your own reality where guesses for whatever reason aren't valid counterplay even when they were part of DBD since it was released. Yes DS has power that is based around them, both sides do them, DS and the survivor as well. Yes they are hugely in favor of DS due to his small ADS time but that's how he was designed, where were you to give feedback once he was on the PTB, that was communities 1 shot to change his ADS but nobody complained so it's here to stay.

You for whatever reason target DS and his power that "doesn't have counterplay other then guesses" when so many other powers have guessing in them as well almost on par with DS. You can hate it as much as I hate to guess where trappers traps are placed but it's here to stay for a long time before DS gets touched again.

Now, that's all I have to say to you. You may not like it but guessing or the better word predictions is counterplay. I hate when people say it's a pure guess, that would mean a coin toss which couldn't be farther from truth. Another of the excuse word as "boring, unfun, guesses, etc" to get something nerfed.

Now I'm really done with this. I've again said my peace and I don't want to continue this anymore as we see thing very differently in the matter of counterplay.

  • @azame said:

You dont know the exact spot but you can make an accurate guess to hoe far shes blinking by how long she holds it. But overall you can outplay her by using her power against her. Unlike slinger your input doesnt make is job harder nor can you counter him.

A god nurse can still miss. I played tur jaynif you know him people claim hes a good nurse I still outplayed him I see the direction he blinks I go the opposite way. You cant do that with slinger.

I'm gonna play slinger you would be survivor so you can show me the counterplay. It's funny how you are so bent on not doing the 1v1 because you know your skills dont back up your claim of slingers counterplay.

So either take up my offer or stop claiming he has counterplay it only proves you cant back it up.

I'm mocking your view that "you don't dodge DS he just misses you" with as equally dumb sounding argument that somehow even god nurses never miss if you didn't get it. Survivor's movement plays insanely huge role in how DS aims & times his shots and if you don't even know that they it's obvious to me why you don't think he has counterplay.

I know that you want to use this 1v1 as an "proof" if you win that DS doesn't have counterplay. If you searched around YT or twitch even a small while you would find more then enough gameplay with survivors outplaying deathslingers but all of that is dismissed by you as "DS missing or something simmiliar". You also clearly don't see the flawed logic in 1v1 me and if I win your opinion doesn't count based on 1 game. You're really desperate to silence anyone who disagrees with you if you challenge everyone who claims that DS has counterplay into 1v1 with you. Many people told you counterplay vs DS and you dismiss it, there's really no helping you if you refuse to listen.

I already know what you think about DS so any more replies would be a complete waste of time. Keep on challenging people to 1v1 as if it proofs anything.

No with nurse you can always lose los use your camera to see where theh aim then run accordingly. Your input actually makes nurse job harder and you can win chases.

I wont dismiss counterplay if you show me. Would you like to play a custom and provrnyour claim or keep saying things you cant back up?

You only see the direction she'll blink, not the exact spot. Thanks for supporting my claim that your imput only makes her job harder but overall it's still on her if she predicts you correctly and god nurse will never miss you no matter what you do or where you are, right.

You will dismiss it as "DS missing" so there's no point in wasting time on that.
