- The Doctor is good killer but after they changed his abilities they made him hard to play against. From what update 3.5.0 Patch Notes said (Added a 3 second cooldown to Shock Therapy. This means it will take 3 seconds before The Doctor can hit with his primary weapon, use Shock Therapy or use Static Blast.) 3 sec cooldown!! I DONT SEE THAT!!!?? All I see is he prevents me as survivor from vaulting, dropping pallets or even Dead Hard for 3 SECONDS. And he still can go back to primary weapon and down survivors!!!?? Most Doctors mains do it this why because they know they can stop the normal gameplay. This is broken and must be fixed, seriously it make no sense after being shocked and screamed still I cant do ANYTHING.
- All killers have either perks to prevent you from vaulting a window or traps by the pallets, but wait THE DOCTOR can bring 4 perks at the top of preventing you form vaulting, dropping pallets, dead hard!! DEAD HARD!!! Wow
- Not all Doctor mains are good but most of them, I’am a Rank 1 survivor and I am literally sick of playing against a broken killer with what I called BUG and its killing t he fun of every game against Dr. For me personally I will start to DC against Dr, no matter how long I’ll be banned or hours or days It doesn’t matter. I’m not gonna let a rank 10 Doctor killer get 4K just because he can prevent survivors from doing what the game is all about chasing and surviving.
- just bring the shock therapy effect the way it was before, we had no problem before but now!!! Its not fun at all.
DOCTOR = DC
Dro the pallet lol? Same for Freddy. Or if you can’t reach it avoid the shock beam. Normal gameplay you talk about. You mean braindead pallet looping? Well every killer should be able to counter that to a certain extet. Nothing is broken about the Doctor he even sucks. So your statement is absurd.
-
These are really good and fun one sided changes in favor of survivors Lmao. They would probably make the game the same if not more broken as it was after launch.

What? Neither side plays more fair and respectful than the other.
The killer won’t tunnel if he don’t have to. Extends a match that he could win easily so the survivors get more points and over all have more fun, gives you the hatch if you’re last ine alive if he thinks you deserved it (could be for a disconnect too). Never seen survivors intentionally not rushing the gens though, or giving a baby killer a free sacrifice or two after being bullied all game.
-
For spirit I use ruin, DoH, haunted grounds and retribution. Basically all your totems are traps as long as retribution is up so you don’t have to worry about losing a ruin or a DoH that can also carry some of your games alone. And if they happen to cleanse a haunted ground well...survivors probably start hearing the music from that coffin dance meme :’D

It’s a funny one but noone falls for it twice.

If you look above, the current extra vault speed is only 0.13 seconds faster. Plus that's good, I want it to be more popular in rotation than the currently more used meta perks that provide way more value.
Thing is if you make spine chill as strong as the combo by itself it would allow people to run 3 other broken meta perks on top of it while having the 15% boost all the time. And it would basically make stealth killers completelly useless since everyone would run it as a meta perk. Spine chill is good as it is now. Giving up an other perks lot for decent action speed too is necessary.
-
The speed bonus from spine chill is only significant for vaulting. Combine it with resiliance and you have a 15% extra vault speed while injured which is insane. On top of that it does what it meant to do. Allerts you when the killer is approaching. This combo would be too powerfull with higher values imo. Also that 15% extra speed for opening the exit gate saved my ass countless times already during EGC.

This perk is so easy to counter all you need to do is go look for totems...there’s even perks to help you find them DONT BE LAZY just do totems lol also for those saying “it rewards camping” well it’s a legit strategy.. since you wanna talk about second chance perks what about all the survivors? The synergy between them all is insane but you don’t care about that you only care about noed because “it’s so hard to counter” don’t be a hypocrite if your calling for the nerf for noed then all call for the nerf of stacking second chance perks and ds locker tech or ds at the exit gate you can’t do anything as killer in that situation no counter ..unlike noed that has a counter
Facts. But wait for the butthurt survivor main wagon thying to convince how wrong you are.

You have to love the killer playerbase, constantly asking for survivor changes in regards to gens or infinites and play like this. So selfish and greedy.
Tat them, is just this single person. Unlike survivors killers usually play more fair and respectfull.

But it shouldn’t take away 4 of the hatchets than. It would force you to tun infantry as well. Imo it’d be better to keep it this way but limit the amount of hatchets you have to one regardless of add-ons.

Spirit. She doesn't take any skill to play. Nurse at least takes hours on hours of practice, Spirit can be picked up by a 3 legged dog and still manage a 4k.

- I understand killers as a whole are at a disadvantage, but there are many killer mechanics that are overpowered, tell me your opinion.
Dont start the Spirit bull ######### again Lmao. There is no overpowered killers in the game no more. Deal with it. Babies whining about Freddy a bit but that’s forgetabble. About Spirit interesingly enough countering her takes about the same effort as playing her. If you can’t do that you’re bad. And Nurse, she’s insanely hard. Doing well against her is like 10 times easier than being good at her. She needs only one mistake and the chase is lost. As survivor, you can create countless opportunities like that. Same for Spirit it’s just the skill cap is narrover for both sides.

And even that’s not a respawn. The hook is still there it’s just down. A destroyed pallet is out of the game and stays that way.

@JediWithASniper said:
So... I think it’s time to talk about respawning pallets.
If hooks respawn, so should pallets. Although, I wouldn’t advocate the pallets respawning in the same place they were broken, nor do I think it should be anything like the speed that hooks respawn. Here is my proposal:
Every two minutes, the map generates pallets to the total number that spawned at the beginning of the match. If the map spawns with 7 pallets, and 3 pallets are broken, not just downed, but broken, then at two minutes in, the map regenerates the 3 broken pallets.
This enables the killer to prevent pallets from respawning by leaving them. Not all pallets are safe, so they don’t all need to be broken.
In this way, the fewer number of pallets on maps is fine, but you don’t end up with a whole map that is a dead zone.
Also, 2 minutes is maybe too fast, perhaps it needs to be 3 minutes instead.
Respawning pallets? Haha what the hell? No.
Hooks are respawn only because saboing is all about disabling a hook righ before the killer gets to it with a survivor on their shoulders. If you pre break hooks and expect it to do anything you play this game wrong.
And Yui’s perk is great. The reason for it not being used is because survivors are addicted to second chance perks only and have no room for anything else. Which is their bad.
-
Thing is if they never fix them I have to use snares which is lame but indeed lot stronger. Fake pallets are cooler imo. You can see people in chases dropping the air, or having new pallets spawed on previously empty locations so whenever you get chased, you can have an idea what is real. Playing against pallet Freddy is opposite of brainless. And SWF spoiling all the pallet locations just once again breaks the game.
-
Looks like you slugged a lot. How many hooks you got from the maximum 9?

I've destroyed a full Rank 1 team as Rank 11. Rank means nothing when they play like terrified kittens. Seriously, Rank 1's HIDING in corners of the map terrified to unhook anyone. I mean, really? The only Red Ranks that are actually good are the SWF teams, and the reason for that is pretty obvious. Other than that, most high rank solos play like yellow ranks.
Disagree SWF players are the ones that usually suck when they play alone since they are boosted. Experienced solos however are the only good survivors.

close to the harvester used to be at least one structure. now is nothing in one side, nothing in the other side and, as always, nothing in map middle. is this the kind balanced map devs wish?
Dude it was always like that. Loads of corn everywhere but now there is a bit more distance between loops. You know what corn vision is? The killer can’t see sh_t if he walks into it.

But it doesn’t make her name Min. Asians say the surname first but still call each other in their first (in this case second) names.

Barely? Have you played today? They're on every map. I've been downed just attempting to get to the next pallet multiple times today. Every map is like Rotten Fields or Shelter Woods.
This dead zone expression is getting dumb. Just because you don’t have a pallet every inch of the map doesn’t mean that it’s a useless section of it. Getting from one loop to an other is not guaranteed now with the increased distance between tiles. But there is plenty of objects to hide behind in that space to try and prevent getting chased in the first place.

I think this game is comltely survivor sided, without paid killers like reddy or demogorgon maybe you can't do anything. Map pressure? Gone. HITBOXES? Are broken as glass. Anything on this game seems to be survivor sided when you are killer. Imo this game needs a perk to put pressure on survivors that even with clown we could kill someone. If you not believe me, play killer as rank 4 as trapper or clown
Freddy is strong but Demo is meh. Nuse, Huntress Billy are all base killers and one of the strongest ones. Even Spirit and Oni is can be purchased with in game cash. Littearly the only good killer behind the pay wall is Freddy. And even he is way too overrated by the survivors. One dumbazz started mocking him for not being skillful enough, whatever that means from a survivor main lol and he is suddenly treated like a greek god.

As someone who has played this game since launch, this recent patch is the absolute most hated patch yet.
Poor balancing options, more bugs, deadzones, AA and V-Sync being forced, not to mention they still have dedicated servers enabled despite them making every aspect of the game worse.
Personally for me, what is making me quit DBD is the forced anti-aliasing that makes the game look like blurry dogshit, which causes eye pain and headaches for me, making the game literally unplayable.
I really don't want this game to die, it may never be as fun and addicting as it was 2 years ago, but I hope the devs get their ######### together before their game dies.
Some people loves this update some hates it. Either way you can’t state that it’s the worst one of the worst ones that kills the game (loool). Bugs are bugs. They are always around but get fixed eventually. Forced ghrapics options should be indeed changed, but I’d say that doesn’t affect the majority of the player base at all. About poor balance...what do you mean? It is the best patch they ever released by far in terms of balance. Not listening to useless complaints from whiny survivors and fixing the broken unfair maps is a right step to the good direction that may eventually make the infamous balance team catch up with their amazing design team. 2 years ago this game was everything but fun or balanced. Insta heals, old DS, ass destroyer Nurse while other killers were hopeless etc. I would take this version of the game over any other even with the bugs.

You dont need to pressure Gens in terms of being there. You need to have Map Pressure aka Survivors occupied with other things than Gens.
Let me give an easy example, happened yesterday, vs Deathslinger:
He chased me, 3 Gens popped (he did quite badly, he tried to get me at some safe Pallets with his Gun, if he would have simply break the Pallets, he would have gotten me sooner). Why did 3 Gens pop? Because he had poor Map Pressure, he only pressured 1 Survivor.
Now, I got hooked and a Feng made the mistake of running nearby. He got a down on her and while he came back to the hook, he saw another Feng going for the Safe. So by slugging the Feng and coming back to the Hook, he had insane Map Pressure - 1 Survivor on the Hook (me), 1 Survivor slugged (Feng), 1 Survivor in a chase (another Feng) and 1 Survivor going for the Unhook. This from a Deathslinger who has 110% Movement Speed and cannot be at every Gen.
He won this game, because he played well in that situation.
And this is how you creature pressure - forcing Survivors into altruistic actions, they have to go for Saves. I have never experienced a Team who let Survivors die just to do Gens. And it works.
It is true that games can end really fast in a situation like that especially if noone has unbreakable that could turn it all around, but as you said he played badly and it means he didn’t really apply all that pressure on his own. More like he capitalized on the survivor’s mistake that won him the game (though I don’t think he got better than a black pip) which is not something you can rely on. Most teams would’t mess up in that situation and just save you for free with borrowed. Even that Feng could have done a hook trade at the very at least that leaves you with one on hook and 1 injured. Or slug the Feng and go after you again to slug you also but that a risky one becaude you never know who have borrowed and she could be up easily with unbreakable by the time he walks back.

I'd rather not lower the pool of (somewhat) meta perks Survivors have, it's already small as is.
Not really small. It’s just suevivors won’t use anything but the often unfair BS meta perks even though they have tonns of usefull ones. And I’m not talking about spinechill being broken, it makes sense to counter stealth. But personally I use it with resiliance for the nasty 15% extra vault speed.
-
Clown main? Is there a killer like that? Oh wait it’s the fat man throwing bottles of pink fart around in low ranks that doesn littearly nothing if you interact with it. But seriously, I don’t think anyone calls himself a Clown main. He’s a stuffed bag of trash. Should be next on the rework list.

You know, downing a Survivor will create pressure. And this got easier with this Patch.
@Topic:
Gens going too fast is not you getting "gen rushed", it is you not applying enough pressure on the Survivors. And it should never be a game design that Gens are not able to be finished, it should be the Killer who is responsible for keeping the Gens up.
Maps being more balanced is good. But since Naruto with his shadow clone jutsu is not in the game yet, you can’t be everywhere at once to apply the preasure. Freddy comes closed to that though but you know well what survivors think of him for that.

Lol so after Marths video showing a lot of the loops were death traps for survivors but one was bad for killer....the devs adjust the one that was bad for killer and ignore the ones that were worthless for survivor. Groaning storehouse in particular made zero sense since going through the window forced you to run towards the killer anyway.
Well this just confirms what we all knew - it really is all about killers now. I mean nerfs are one thing but actively changing the maps to ensure it screws one side is something else entitely.
HA’ I hope you don’t mean the infinite in red forrest.

No the flashlight can blind from ridiculous angles. I've talked about this and the survivor mains swear it's impossible, but you can be blinded while looking directly at a wall.
Interesting. They should look at them than. Facing a wall if possible is the only counter after all, and flashlight saves are often gamelosing. I littearly had to play a marathon of franklins/insidius Bubba to pay back the fustration.

How do people still defend Freddy's brain-dead game play? Are you guys Freddy mains or something lmao
How can you guys still complain about a perfectly fine killer intead of playing the game and getting better against him? It’s not like he has a 80% win rate or anything. Why would you care how the Freddy player plays anyway? May be it is easier for him to do well than it is for you to play against him so what? Nerf him? ######### no. It’s the same for Nurse. Playing against her well is like 7 times easier than doing well as her. With this logic survivors in general should have limited movement so that losing her would be as difficult as measuring blink distances and doing accurate blinks rather than just holding down W while losing line of sight.

Well, even if you throw the Pallet, he can just chase around without breaking it. And Pallets are there to be broken, this will allow the Survivor to gain distance.
Running around the Loop, spamming Snares to slow the Survivor down is basically what Freddy can do. So yeah, he is braindead.
Not every palled is safe. You either get hit or stun the killer and run away. If you don’t know how to use pallets don’t blame the killer for being braindead by forcing you to drop it early. Freddy can’t possibly get you at safe pallets without breaking them regardless of snares. If you still get hit, that’s your lack of skill.

I main killer at red ranks. There's a difference between a killer being powerful, and just being cheap. Spirit is super cheap too, especially with stridor.
They are for killers too bad or too lazy to learn how to run the tiles in the game. I play Freddy when I want an easy game.

I think Freddy is one of the only killers you can get away with never mindgaming on. You ~can~ actually hold W in chase while spamming snares, never kick pallets, and eventually get downs. Especially if you run something like bamboozle on him. Can't ever get a hit without the snare spam? Don't worry, they will fall asleep passively no matter how bad you are in chase.
Is it the most efficient? No, but the fact it can be done proves his mindlessness. At least killers like clown have some sort of resource management.
And that’s what makes Clown a ######### tier killer who’s never played. We need more killers like Freddy and Spirit who can actually do well. You complainers probably don’t play killer much or all.
-
Reeeeee Freddy is so brainless reeeeeee. I can’t mindlessly hold down W at a loop because he knows where to put his traps and I don’t want to waste the pallet REEEEEEE.

I feel so burned out. I decided to take a small one day break from Dead by Daylight and I instantly lost majority of my motivation to play.
And no, it's not because of the players, the bugs, or anything, I just don't want to play recently. But I still love the game. I still love the developers. I still would spend money on it... But I feel like I can only get back to it when the next update comes.
Just a piece of advice from myself: If you are a person like me who loves video games and has a favorite game but is easily burned out of any game, even their favorite one, please do not stop playing daily. Every day you start to use your computer, make sure the first game you play is your favorite one. I stopped because I wanted to take a one day break, and now I'm struggling to find the motivation to launch the game and play it again, even if my friends have been calling me over and over to come and play.
I hope I get my motivation back in the next update.
Lol just play something else. Eventually you’ll answer the fog’s call again. If you feel burned out of DbD i suggest try Maelstorm on steam if you like casual naval shooters. I said this game because it’s really well made for an F2P and way too underappreciated.

When played correctly, the Legion is an insanely powerful killer. During the era of super fast gen repairing, the Legion was one of the best because of how well he can slow down gen progress. For a while, hardly anyone played Legion because they thought he was crappy. But as the Legion is starting to catch on now, people are realizing it's power. The survivors, however, commonly hate Legion facing Legion. I just had a round as Ghostface and mentioned that Legion is the one I can win best with during this era. One person instantly complained and said not to be him. Do you guys think that survivors will eventually cause the Devs to change the Legion, whether for OP or boringness? Or do you think he will stay for a while longer?
Legion is my favorite killer but they are quite weak so no. Also survivors don’t like to go against any killer basically so that doesn’t matter. If you wanna please them, play AFK Wraith and let them play their holding down M1 simulator that they waited for 10+ minutes.

Your oppinion would be different if you’d get ppl escaping constantly with random keys you either missed in the lobby or they found in a chest. Can you find moris in chests? No? No, you just have no idea how the game works simple as that.
-
@SmarulKusia said:
I often see Killer Mains make the argument of, “if survivors can have keys! Then killers can have Moris!”
but those two aren’t comparable like at all. Killing survivors is the killers objective - that is a fact, as killer, you’re hoping to kill all the survivors in the game. As survivor, your objective is to do gens.
Keys are highly situational to begin with - you’re not even guaranteed to get to a stage where hatch spawns for the player to use the key. A mori - whilst admittedly needing to be “unlocked”, is far quicker to use within a match than a hatch is. You can get a mori kill before 2 gens are done.
Keys aren’t even commonly ran by survivors - in my hundred of games as survivor, I’ve only escaped using a key probably 5 or so times. As a killer - in my hundreds of games, I’ve only ran into two games where a key was actually used in game.
Moris can be achieved in-game quicker and end the game quicker - they don’t take up a necessary spot in the kit as they come as an offering. With a key, you have to wait till end-game essentially to use the item, which is a part of the game that you’re not even guaranteed to reach - on top of the fact that it takes up an item slot.
these are not comparable at all. I hate seeing the argument that they are when they’re blatantly not
Keys are stonger than moris so at that part you’re true.
