Those that can't properly apply pressure or catch a survivor because of easily being mind-gamed need this.
That's my opinion on it.
-
Right, but you were fishing for them, I am genuinely asking where you heard that before?
I don't understand how a handful of responses means people hate her. lol
-
Where do you get that people hate Meg?
I've literally never heard that.

I know you didn't say that. That's why I said it.
People post on the forums all the time about things that aren't likely to change. Usually, they do it to vent, to gather support for their perspective, or to raise awareness of the issue, all of which are fair enough reasons to start a discussion.
OP has good reason to care about people DCing, because it ruins the experience for other players. If you don't care about it, that's okay too, you can just move on without commenting, but it's okay for other people to want to talk about it even if they can't change it.
I've never been a fan of calling someone "stupid", regardless of how unfair I think their actions are.
I get that people want to vent, but it doesn't mean that someone isn't going to point how how pointless it is. Especially when there are literally thread after thread about the same thing... and especially when the devs are already going to address dc's.

That's what the people who DCed should have done.
I never said anything about what the other players should do. I just don't understand how posting on the forums is going to change that.
I have people dc all the time while I'm on both sides. They understand what it means, they just don't care enough. In my last match there was someone who changed their name to "speed quitter" or something like that. So most of these people are just trolling.
-
Why do you care about others dc'ing?
Honestly, take your points and go.
-
What she doesn't have in her Wind Up, she more than makes up for it in her hatchets' hitboxes.
-
Nerf Slug Speed, and Hook Speed at the same time too.
-
Imagine thinking getting slugged is a survivor mistake. Lmao
-
Because tunneling and camping are at the killer's disposal 100% of the time. There is nothing survivors can do to prevent it, other than doing gens. Which that in itself doesn't prevent it, just punishes it.
Gen-rushing doesn't become a thing unless A. Killer is specifically focused on one person completely denying any pressure being applied to gens. B. Everyone had a BNP, Toolboxes, ignoring hooked people.
-
Why not play another game then?
-
Depends on the killer tbh.
-
Devotion 12, Level 86.
-
If teammates dc at the start, no.
It wasn't a real match to begin with.
-
Imagine getting Alexa just to counter a perk in a game. xD
-
No, but I do believe that maps need to be reworked without making them useless.

You will get this just from playing ghost face. BHVR has taught survivors that if you dc enough against a killer you don't like, then that killer will be nerfed because they are not "FUN" This is what got the nurse, spirit and legion nerfed.
@snozer
Yeah? And BHVR has also made adjustments to killers where they were needed. Spirit is nowhere near being any lower tier than she was. They also reworked Freddy and is in a good place atm. Nurse is still strong, just not broken status as she was.
But sure, go ahead and tell us how BHVR plans on nerfing Ghostface next.

There is a big skill gap that is creating a bigger problem than SWF.

Honestly I’m kind of wondering what isn’t considered toxic anymore.
On BOTH sides too. Got a flashlight? Oh that’s toxic. Hook someone in basement? Oh that’s toxic. Insta heal mid chase? Oh that’s toxic. The list goes on and on.
Some tactics just give you more of an advantage whether they are preferred or not. The challenge is very hard to pull off unless you are Leatherface. So you kind of hope a team will get ultra altruistic or you won’t succeed. Why? Because it isn’t the most optimal way to win. The other survivors could be smart and just sacrifice that survivor hooked and do gens instead.
They are called “challenges” not “what’s the nicest way I can play killer.”
-
Nope
-
For me it means both “Killer might be camping” or “ No one is coming to save me”.
-
Gen Rush has become an exclusive excuse for poor judgement/play/tactics/time management on the killer side.
Even though you know the tools are there to slow gens down if you find that it is an issue in your own personal matches.
-
Exhaustion is balanced IMO.
The idea that it could flat out give more of a disadvantage for survivors seem too much IMO. It it was introduced as a perk I’d be more in agreement.
-
Who in their right mind gets everything at once tho?
I will admit I have almost 100k Iri Shards, and I want to support the game so I spend real money instead... but I don't buy everything in bulks unless I REALLY want something.
You don't have to have everything in the game you know. That's your choice.
-
This is absurd.
This is exactly why mori’s need to be reworked. I feel like it should be on a timer the moment you have the opportunity to mori someone.

This is true on the console, where you will often get SWFs that will do nothing but gen rush and leave with zero interaction with killers. It's not going to be addressed. At least not in any significant, meaningful way as solo survivors will get buffed first, leaving most killers in need of the ability to address the rush in the dust. 3 and 4 man toolboxes don't exist to me as I dodge them like Average Joes vs. Globo Gym.
I’m sorry but if you have zero interaction with the killer there is something wrong. In fact that in itself explains why you might be getting “gen rushed”.
Gens speed cannot be changed because there are already tools that slow them down. In fact in many cases it’s already too much to a point where the killer is benefiting too much from the slower speed.
Sometimes the scales are either tipped for or against you. You can’t win every match.
-
It's not balanced because her hatchets are busted.
Aim at dead air and you got a down. Nice job.
-
Because Even if you’re right, they don’t want to admit that they are camping. No other reason.
They will never admit it because in their eyes they did what they needed to do to win. So you should just be satisfied knowing that.

See I'm the opposite, in red ranks I just do gens because they will either so them with me or spend half the match looking for the totem. Besides after a while of going against ruin you get pretty good at hitting great skill checks so the perk is pretty much useless against any competent survivors
I don't wanna toot my own horn, but I am pretty proficient in finding ruin right away 95% of my matches. Mostly due to playing killer alot and learning ruin spawn locations, there is a reason my friends call me a Hex Hunter. xD
I just go ahead and get it out of the way. Of course if it is one of those cases where it's just hidden really well I will give up on it. It just seems like many players just aren't good with Ruin and they feel as though they need to just give up because they are only giving their position away because often take too long that the killer will find them or they will miss a skill check entirely.
So for me, it's sort of a gray area. If you are really good at hiding but you can cleanse a couple of totems (at least in the beginning) I'm fine with that. Just do something. This way if they are not good at running the killer than at least they aren't getting in the way of the other players who are actually better having to save them off the hook, constantly.
-
My best advise is learn the maps and the totem locations.
Nowadays I just cleanse ruin if I am in a solo match. Why? Because I don't trust my teammates will touch a gen otherwise. This is in red ranks, so it's not just happening in lower ranks.
-
Just because you go down and never get to use DS doesn't automatically guarantee that either A. You will have unbreakable/Killer will leave you alone for enough time to proc it. B. A teammate will actually come back to pick you up.
In essence the slug not only serves as a tactic to deny DS, but also use you as bait. Thus punishing DS.
-
I want someone with a new mechanic.

If a hex isn't strong then why run it over a normal perk? I don't understand you people. Are we playing the same game?
Hence why I said its a "gamble" like many other perks. Strong when it works, but a gamble nonetheless.
I never said it wasn't strong.
-
What?
-
Same thing happened to me yesterday. Post the clip in the bugs section, cuz this one is ridiculous.
-
Don't call Ruin OP, most killers on these parts will try to tell you it's not simply because it can get cleansed.
Even though you know... it's a 50/50 gamble with this perk, and it's not meant to do anything but slow down the gens.
-
This would be a bad idea.
-
I wish I had people gen tapping, at least that's doing something.
The majority of my matches start out basically me being chased, only to find out everybody else is just running around looking for Ruin.

They made them smaller before but that absolutely destroyed her so they reverted it back
I don't know, but maybe its not the hatchet itself that needs to be revised. I'd be happy if at least they weren't going through walls or random LoS blockers.
-
It got buffed for the right reasons.
Oblivious is new to the game so it only made sense they buffed BT accordingly. If not like they added more time Or reduces the mending time.
I see no issue with BT at all.
-
The better question is why are killers allowed to dodge when they see a key (any key) but survivors are not when a mori is brought.

Dwelf is probably the Dbd highlight of the year for me. I've been rocking that cosmetic since it came out, and I love it. I've even had two killers completely spare me because I was apparently "too adorable to kill".
And for all the threats of Dwelfs getting mori'ed that I saw on twitter, not a single killer has even attempted to yet.
I love how you can combine it with different pieces too! :)
As for mori's, I got mori'd yesterday but I wasn't wearing the full outfit. xD The Freddy was a grinch!
-
I think hitboxes in general need to be revisited in Dedicated Servers.
Hatchets on Huntresses are busted too.
-
How about we just remove the rank system all together? Base ping on location alone.

Old news day.

The people who want a secondary objective are normally survivors who would rather do something else than repair a generator for 80 seconds.
Im all for making the game more interesting while adding content for both survivor and killer that isn’t for the sake of giving extra time because that side wasn’t proactively successful in finishing their objective.
Also, the people who want a secondary objective from where I’ve been reading are killers. Survivors only respond because the idea that gens could be slower is already an awful/unfun idea to begin with. Not because they fully agree with it.
This isn’t the direction the devs seem to want to go in. Hence why builds like Forever Freddy are gone.
You brought up slow down perks, and I think that is fine. Time to spare is also one that allows you to correct your mistakes. Under a version of gens where they are slowed down what purpose would some of them serve other than to make the matches awefully long. Not to mention the huge benefit for making up for time you otherwise didn’t use wisely....
You missed a few swings? No worries Gens are slow now, you can miss a couple more times.
Wasted your time, looking for that Claudette because you didn’t know when to stop? No worries, gen speed now rewards you more time so you can afford to look for that one survivor.
Want to camp but fear that gens will pop too quick? We got you! You can rest assured maybe 1 will pop and you can camp a survivor all the way till their death, and you the game will still reward you more kills.
-
The only thing that these type of videos show is that many if not most of the players asking for gen speed to be slowed down or a “secondary objective” is that you want more time to correct your mistakes and at the cost of a survivor out-performing you no longer being a thing.
Also, slowing down gens would also benefit campers who clearly want to play the game in a way where it is just to annoy survivors (i.e. Not chasing, don’t care about emblem points). Because only focusing on gens is the direct counter to camping.

The tell I feel is pretty obvious. Once you see someone go down from healthy once, you know she's using it. Ideally you don't want to get hit by a hatchet even if she's not using it, so it's not really a "too little too late" situation.
Anyway, I'd be totally okay with that personally. The most interesting idea I've heard was to make long range hatchets (>24m or 32m) instantly down people. That way it stays powerful, but requires a lot more skill to use and has way more counterplay. What do y'all have in mind?
@Peanits I think this would be fair. Considering many who use this (from my own personal experience) like to get right behind the survivor in order to hit them. So it would definitely open it up as a more skilled base enhanced hatchet.
