    I just massively disagree its a "very specific scenario" that you cannot find a loop within 80 meters of you. That's ridiculous. There's almost no situation where that happens.

    @ScottJund

    To each their own.

    I have found maps that start out being bad (Meaning killer-sided) because the set ups are an L-T wall next to a Z wall. Not saying it happens all the time.

    All I am saying is that, people who try to sell DS as this "invincibility tool" are also proposing that every single scenario (When DS is used) is against them. Which isn't entirely true either.

  • @ScottJund said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1584488#Comment_1584488

    I'm sorry on what planet can you not get to a loop with 20 seconds of distance?

    @ScottJund

    Idk, try the maps which have no loops around where the stun happens or pallets nearby.

    I'm sure you have enough hours to have played survivor and understand that.

    The reason I stated that people on here present a very specific scenario to try to justify the strength of the perk is because they always come up with the most 'out there' survivor-sided situations, that it is laughable to me when on the flip side of it, if the survivor didn't have DS they would have found themselves in a very bad situation because of how lackluster some set ups are. (especially after they have nerfed the amount of pallets and moved set ups around).

    PS. When I said "immobilized" It was a sarcastic way of saying "invincible" which is the word that many love to use here. Because in reality DS doesn't give you invincibility. It doesn't render the killer unable to down you.

  • @Dehitay said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1584439#Comment_1584439

    Not really. Sure if you're a rage quitter who just gives up immediately if he gets downed, you'll die. But it's still rather easy to come back after being the first hook as long as you play intelligently and your team isn't that bad. My looping skill is bad, but my decision making is excellent. One of the most important things you can do is know where to go down. If you're the kind of survivor who can loop the killer for 2 minutes but does it right next to the hooked survivor, you're far more of a handicap to your team than I am when I decide to actively avoid strong loops to run to the other side of the map from the critical gen being worked on and go down much faster as a result.

    @Dehitay

    Ok, but imagine if you already said your looping skill is bad, and the other 3 are bad as well. Do you honestly believe you are all going to be buying each other time? At that point you'll have created and endless loop of unhooking-going down-unhooking... rinse-repeat. Without anyone actually doing gens or working on objectives at all.

    Looping is the only interaction you have with a killer, not when you are holding M1 on a gen. I think that is what the OP is referring to. I understand how you can still be reckless as a good looper, but for the most part I have found good loopers to also make conscious decisions because as mentioned before in order to be a good looper you have to have good coordination, tile knowledge etc, which pretty much asserts that they will make conscious decisions during saving as well.

  • @WheresTheGate said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1584456#Comment_1584456

    Exactly. That's what I'm trying to get at. I have never understood why it's so popular on one side and so hated on the other. From my personal experience it doesn't prevent tunneling. As a matter of fact the chance of being tunneled goes up by many orders of magnitude in my experience.

    My survivor rank got worse using it because I got tunneled way way way more than I ever did before.

    @WheresTheGate

    Mostly everyone who has a problem with getting stunned will tell you that there is a strong loop nearby, that they had Dead Hard, that they were getting gen-rushed etc etc. To try to justify the strength of the perk. Because without an actual situation like that, the perk isn't that strong at all.

  • @WheresTheGate said:

    I am a survivor main and can only speak to this from that perspective. I have tried using DS on multiple occasions. I forced myself to use it for a month straight at one point because I kept reading on this forum how it was so powerful. The only thing DS ever did for me was ensure I got tunneled after using it 90% of the time. The only time it ever gave me any real benefit is if I managed to use it while the gates were open and it bought me enough time to get out. I think that only happened twice.

    The overwhelming majority of the time I utilized DS the killer would ignore everyone else completely until I was dead. I realize not everyone will have the same experience a me. But from my DS is simply the guaranteed to be tunneled perk.

    @WheresTheGate

    Because contrary to popular belief it isn't even a good anti-tunnel perk. The perk doesn't render the killer immobilized or something, it merely stuns them, and they can still see the direction in which you are headed.

    Exactly you understand but be careful this thread is growing hostile. Kinda exciting though.

    @azame

    Oh I hadn't noticed, then again I am not threatened easily. 😉

    I have enough experience to understand exactly where you are coming from. As killer I've actually had survivors use the words "You are so easy to juke" when they were in a locker the entire time and I never saw them. Lmao

    I can admire someone who can evade the killer through means of tile knowledge, techs, than someone who is simply crouched inside a tree, for example.

  • I agree.

    If you don't know how to loop you will most likely die if you are the first one found. Because you are not giving your team enough time to do gens.

    Many people that immerse most of the game and want to claim they did something worthy, don't realize they just got lucky they weren't found.

    Of course all this also depends on the skill of the killer.

  • @Sylorknag said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1584069#Comment_1584069

    You said yourself that you slug in your matches.. and then proceed to say that unbreakable/ds are too situational lol I rest my case.

    @Sylorknag

    Right. I did, because it was relevant to the conversation.

    It doesn't mean that slugging = respecting anything. It means it works as a pressuring tool + counter to DS. Consequently if you don't tunnel off the hook, you no longer have 60 seconds to slug, so chances of Unbreakable procc'ing are limited to that survivor. Unbreakable procs once, Slugging on the other hand can be done EVERY SINGLE TIME you want to put pressure on survivors.

    I don't get what your case is.

  • @Sylorknag said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1582221#Comment_1582221

    You just proved how absurdly broken the perk is.

    Killers will respect even thought you don't have it.

    @Sylorknag

    I slug in my matches doesn't mean I respect it. Just means I am countering it.

    Slugging is good whether the person has DS or doesn't. This is why there is a good amount of high rank killers who do it, and why things like DS are actually healthy for the game. Because when I play killer I can apply pressure by simply leaving someone on the ground. It is guaranteed pressure. This is why I don't mind if the player has DS+ UB because to them those are just perks that might or might not even proc. because they are too situational.

    You can slug for as long as you want too. You aren't restricted unlike DS. You have an entire match's worth of time, DS only has 60 seconds.

  • If you mean the people that complain without an actual constructive argument, yeah I wonder that too.

    Put those people in the same category as the people who have a collection of 'goodbye' threads but come right back 2 weeks later. I see them as attention seekers. Nothing more.

    I think giving negative criticism is important. It helps the game and developers understand where they might need to adjust/change things. The key is to do it in a way where you are not looking to "win" an argument, but rather that you are trying to offer a solution along with stating your issue with the game.

  • @RakimSockem said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1581669#Comment_1581669

    Idk people keep running with that argument that you have to feed into what the survivor is planning. If a survivor is following me and I know they were just unhooked, I still go after my target and hook them first. Then I give the other survivor my attention and I'll either eat their DS so that it's gone, or I'll slug them and go after person C or D and make them waste their unbreakable.

    I absolutely love when survivors who are injured stick close to me. I hope that's not your definition of a good team because I consistently get 3ks and 4ks against people like that.

    And before you asked, yes I've played in red ranks before and have reached rank 1.

    @RakimSockem

    Props to you for playing like a good killer.

    I am willing to bet that 99% of the people who are complaining about DS are people who want to eat DS even though they themselves know there is a high change the person has it. People are literally making it sound like you get stunned with every single DS.

    I've had many matches where all 4 players had it, and the only time it affected me was in endgame. It might have been one out of the 4, definitely not all of them. This is the exact opposite of what people on these forums claim, which is that you have "invincibility", well you only have it if you actually proc the perk right?

    Even if all 4 DS's procc'd I don't see how you can have a problem with that, but not a snowball, which is very easy to do if there is no DS.

  • @Joao_Bandicoot said:

    Dead Hard is still working as intended, you can run alone and test this yourself (since exhaustion can be recovered quite easily). Run to any side of the map, not followed by the Killer and try to count the delay between hitting E and getting the effect, if it's noticeable don't try to use it as Invincibility and just get distance on loops.

    @Joao_Bandicoot

    Clearly it's not working as intended if you are exhausted on the ground.

    Working as intented would mean that anytime the hit is within those frames, the swing should miss instead. Whether you are using it for distance or to avoid a hit.

    "I am also wondering if some killers will even see DS proc if they do not tunnel"

    That's exactly what is happening. Ds works 50/55 seconds after being unhooked. And those 5 remaining seconds can be enough to completely make you lose all your momentum

    @Leonardo1ita

    It isn’t tho.

    The killer’s who understand how DS works, know to wait 5 seconds.

    Its on a timer so you would see it unless you remember who you hooked. The timer is the restriction not the act of tunneling. That is the bottom line.

  • @Warcrafter4 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1580330#Comment_1580330

    Here's a bit of information about development:

    Just because the devs acknowledge something can be used in a specific way doesn't mean its its intended use.

    In fact in most situations like this if these alternate uses of the perk get abused to badly they end up getting nerfed and that alterative strategy removed.

    To give an example: The original relic shield in League of Legends was intended as an income item for tanks and the devs acknowledged that double bruiser/juggernauts with it is a valid strategy.

    However it turned out to be so abused in the double bruiser/juggernaut strategy that the devs had to remove that strategy from the game by nerfing the relic shield because of the alternate use.

    Also PS:

    Even Peanits has hinted at DS deactivating when you work on a gen would be a good change to the perk.

    @Warcrafter4

    The problem is that DS isn't as strong as people make it out to be and certainly not in the "abusive way", not when there are several ways to play around it. The issue people take with it is when they think they "unfairly" got stunned by it, but only find it unfair because they weren't "tunneling".

    When you snowball (whether intentional or non intentional)... you can STILL easily prevent it from procc'ing unless the survivor actually has UB + DS which in my experience I rarely see those paired up. Even then we are talking about two perks slots, where at most 1 will get used up.

    The other problem is that in order to 'balance' it in the way people want, they would have to nit-pick every scenario in which DS is considered "abusive"... and I think that is completely unfair when you count the fact that many of the things that DS counters (A Tunneling/Camping killer) are available to a killer all the time (warranted or not).

    I can tell you from my own experience, I get hit more by DS when I deliberately went after the recently unhooked, once in a blue moon I will get it by it when I didn't anticipate it. In other words, you have a higher chance of getting hit by it IF you go after the same survivor. Still doesn't guarantee you will.

  • @azame said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1579936#Comment_1579936

    It helps protect against tunneling but it was never stated to be solely anti tunnel. If it was the conditions would be highly different.

    @azame

    They highlighted that part because that is the only part they choose to read.

    In the same set of questions this was also posted:

    "With how short game time is if survivors choose to optimally complete their objective, isn't DS still a perk that grants too much ground, and now encourages 4 people to run it in a game since everyone gets the same effect regardless of obsession status?"

    "I am quite excited to see how we behave with the new Decisive strike Changes, I am not sure everyone will run it, I am also wondering if some killers will even see DS proc if they do not tunnel. The 60 seconds does allow for enough time to find a killer after being unhooked, but I believe it will come down to a smart strategy in that case."

     I highlighted the part people choose to ignore.

  • Decisive Strike was never meant to be strictly an anti-tunnel perk. The dev you tagged even responded to a thread confirming this.

    You think it's only anti tunnel because that's what these forums have led you to believe.

  • DS is balanced as it is when you consider of all the ways you could get around it. More than anything the "tunneling" part itself. As a killer I can pretend like I am not tunneling by going in the complete opposite direction for 20 seconds and come right back to tunnel that freshly unhooked survivor.

    I say the "tunneling" part, because DS isn't strictly only an anti-tunnel perk, that's the one thing that people get so hung up on. DS used to work anytime you went down, only condition was you had to fill your wiggle bar to a certain point to use it. Now because you can use it after getting unhooked, people only want to view it as such, even though in reality the perk has always meant to be used anytime you get picked up.

  • @Demonl3y said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1575944#Comment_1575944

    With DS i meant Decive Strike. Its also annoying for Killers to go against the same build over and over again.

    Also i said many Oni players may use the same build, but that doesnt mean you play everymatch against a oni

    @Demonl3y

    I mean, I face a lot of people with DS and they never get to use DS on me.

    If you're referring to survivors bringing the same build, that's not entirely true. I always assume at least one person will bring DS, it's to be expected when you have killers camping left and right. So I don't blame them.

    Oni is still a powerful killer without the need to snowball everytime.

  • @ExcelSword said:

    I like Oni quite a bit, but his design as a killer disappoints me, because in many ways he is just a better version of Michael. A power that is much harder to counter as survivor and being much easier to reach than Michael's T3.

    I guess what I'm saying is I really wish they would update Michael's power, his age is really starting to show.

    @ExcelSword

    I am a Michael main, and one of the reasons I love him is because he actually feels like his T3 (which is extremely powerful) is earned.

    I love instances where I can snowball with T3, but survivors still have some sort of counter to him. I would hate it if Michael could snowball like Oni (with hardly any counter) because then that would mean the majority of Michaels would go for this specific way of playing.

  • @Demonl3y said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1572366#Comment_1572366

    But the same could be said about DS and so on.

    But also, even if many Onis use the same Build, how often do you play against Oni? Sadly i rarely play agains a oni. :/

    Most killers i play against are huntress i think.

    @Demonl3y

    I've played against enough Onis to say that 99% had the same build and playstyle.

    You can't even compare him to DS because of how slow DS is. DS cannot zoom from one end of the map to another.

    As mentioned before, most of them just push for a forced snowball, and while that can be a strat, it gets boring when literally almost every one of them does it because they all carry the same build.

  • @Uistreel said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1572233#Comment_1572233

    I mean to be fair, that's really the only way to efficiently play oni

    @Uistreel

    And I get that. But dealing with the same exact load out just isn’t fun. Like it has really made me dislike this killer that I don’t dare touch him.

    I am basing this on my experience with Oni players, most of them have Top Knot too which is just too much to deal with depending on the map.

  • He the most unfun killer for me to play against. With that being said, do I think he is too OP? No.

    I do think it sucks that 99% of the Onis I play against play the same way, down, slug, go for IF detected survivor. Rinse-Repeat.

  • Its because people don’t understand the difference between balanced and counterplay. Yes he is VERY hard to juke when within a certain meter radius + really the skill of the player... but he comes with heavy drawbacks.

    Just look at Spirit, same situation and yet you CAN win against Spirit. I am a survivor main and even I can admit that.

    You know who can’t? The crouching survivor behind the tree that doesn’t understand how to play the game. Those are the same people that walk to a gen or a hook to save (or most of the time). I’ve seen them in red ranks.

    Way to go to prove your point.

    @Enlyne

    Nobody accused me of being in a KYF match prior to you. So no need to post a clip of a streamer I do not know.

    The only point you've proven is that you do not believe what you do not understand.

    No point in arguing something when a lot of people already did and you just deny it all, so whatever.

    It is luck on your DS's skill, you have nothing to do against that, and your first gif ever doesnt show the same thing as you put in the response, I'm gonna still call it staged as there's no real proof this is not a KYF game.

    Everyone has already pointed out the flaws in your arguments and your "proof" for counterplay, it is not a real counter, and it is not showing anything interesting that can change anybody's gameplay to an extent against DS, it's the same thing all over again.

    So no, it's not about paying attention, it's luck, and that's all there is, deny it as you will, made my point.

    @Enlyne

    Yep! All a KYF match. Next time you make accusations of someone lying at least try have proof to back it up, so you don't end up looking like a fool.

    Not to you until you decided to do it, then you actually do care about it.

    My point is these gifs are way unbelievable and that's it, all feels staged, almost nobody has got those lightning speed reflexes or incredible luck to dodge at such close distance, adding to it the fact that deathslinger's projectile comes at crazy speed that it barely leaves half a second.

    Let alone the first gif just feels like a really, really bad intended mistake on the DS's part for not owning you in that deadzone, only really bad players do that.

    The timing at dodge seems so conveniently perfect it's just not legitimate to see, nobody believes this would work out for all too many reasons, it is what it is.

    @Enlyne

    By you implying this is staged, is as if somehow I am faking that this happened? That's what I don't care about.

    I answer because I get a notification every single time you reply. Doesn't mean I am here to convince you of anything you choose not to believe.

    You keep saying 'owning' in a dead zone when he is clearly too far for an M1...so he goes for a shot. Makes sense. Like I don't know how many times I have to explain that. This was the first hit, and you can see how much distance I already have on him.

    Untitled Image

    I had Dead Hard, so it's not like he was going to get me anyway. I didn't want to use it right away. Because I was hoping there would be a pallet nearby, and there was. As shown here

    Untitled Image

    I've dodged many Deathslingers, the same way I did this player. Does that mean they are all bad? Idk, some of them have won some of my matches and I have won others. Call it luck. I call it paying attention.

  • @Enlyne said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1569534#Comment_1569534

    Pretty much, these gifs don't seem how a legitimate deathslinger would play, it's all too convenient.

    @Enlyne

    Even though it was already stated that I kept running forward, you only have to hold W, you know.

    Keep believing what you want. I don't care.

  • I love the people who are quick to point out the Deathslinger’s lack of counterplay... but you never see them mention the amount of drawbacks he has. Like if you could literally avoid his spear like you would a Huntress’ hatchet (You know the ones that are suppose to hit you) he would be SO weak considering he only carries one spear at 110 movement speed.

    I agree OP. You won’t win though, you’re better off just giving your own opinion/feedback on the matter since apparently you can’t win against him... /s

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/174481/an-in-depth-post-about-the-lack-of-counterplay-to-spirit-deathslinger-and-pyramid-head

    My point all in one thread I wouldnt even mind if you outright @'d me. I have 2.5k - 3k hours ik what I'm talking about. Although its frustrating to repeat a point to people who disagree with you.

    @azame

    I wasn’t referring to anyone specific, OP specifically said “base your opinions completely...” which there are players who come on here post a video and never even bother to discuss any further than the video, leaving those who don’t even watch these people wondering if they ever even bothered to learn/experience through their own trials and errors.

    They just want the attention. I would post links but I am not going to gonna name and shame. They are out there.

    This was directed at anyone who implies something is right or wrong based on the streamers opinion not through their own experience.

    I watch OhTogu for example, do I agree with everything he says? Absolutely not. Do I think he has valid points even on stuff I have brought up on the forums, sure. Doesn’t mean I can’t form my own opinion based on my gameplay experience. Because there may be things (small or big) that don’t really align with my thinking. So I opt not to post videos. In fact I think the only time I have was in my deathslinger post, which wasn’t even anyone that I had heard of before, but they expressed exactly my point and with a video so I posted that. It was later in my thread.

  • If you have Dead Hard as a survivor you can dash out of it. If you’re healthy though you basically have to wait for the killer to injure you first unfortunately.

  • 100% agree.

    I feel like many of these individuals who post these videos aren’t really trying to validate a point, because they are either so lazy to actually explain their own view that is like one sentence and a link to a video.

    It almost makes it feel like they are more trying to use these streamer’s platform as a validation point than actually trying to form an opinion of their own.

    “I play the game but I am bad so I’m going to hand you over to Joe who has 10000 hours in the game and they know more than you”. 😂

  • Yep. Pallets, Trees, Any type of LoS blockers don’t not stop the harpoon. It goes right through them apparently. 🤣

  • Here are the differences I see for those who don’t see them.

    • Added Necklace in the new version.

    • Glasses and jacket don’t match the color of the original.

    •Hair looks completely different and in fact the ‘Belle of the Ball’ hair looks more like the one in the original design.

    • Sweatpants aren’t baggy enough IMO.

    • Jacket looks different to me. They changed it to a sportier jacket, when it’s clear that it’s more of a stylish jacket without the drawstrings.

    • Beanie is missing.

    • Design in the back was changed.

    At this point, I can understand why it’s so easy to point out the differences. What I don’t understand is why choose a design which you are going to almost completely change? Especially when it’s a fan-created design. “To fit the character” seems like a weak response to me, when it’s suppose to be about the fan’s creation not how much can your modeler change about it.

  • Honestly as an artist myself, I find it a bit insulting to the original design.

    With that being said, no one knows if (for the obvious reasons) they may have contacted the artist themselves and talked about the alterations.

    I do wonder why they would pick a design which obviously doesn't fit what they want if they are going to make changes to it. While I am sure the artist is still greatful they were picked, I think one of the coolest parts about it is being able to say "this was my design".

  • The thing is just because it is ok to you, doesn't mean others will see it that way.

    With that being said play how you want, but either have your chat box turned off or be prepared for some criticism.

    She's been getting these hitbox topics for some time now, it''s a common issue amongst survivors.

    @Enlyne

    For context, it was mentioned that Deathslinger’s power is kind of buggy so I brought up the fact that Huntress’ could be considered buggy too when you think about the fact that there are hits she shouldn’t hit.

    People complain about Huntress, but not in a manner of “she has no counterplay” because it is quickly shut down with “its latency, sorry”.

    you can just pick and choose who to try to shoot at and what your chances of reelin them in are.

    always shoot healthy survivors no matter what and only shoot healthy surviors if they are a ways in front of you and have nothing to break the reel with. his instant aim , no penalty cancel, base kit deep wound and no invisible wall bs put him head and shoulders above huntress

    @zoozoom6

    Also, 110% speed, 2.75 seconds to reload with only 1 shot at all times. Breaking the chain stuns you for 4 seconds. Movement speed reduced to 75% of his default speed during ADS. Every single time you miss it is a 1.5 second cooldown. It's not like he has 0 drawbacks.

    Like if he was meant to be dodged exactly like Huntress, what would even be the point of using his Speargun? Unless he was throwing buses like Huntress does and multiple ones at that. His hitbox is way more forgiving than Huntress.

  • @zoozoom6 said:

    because he can repeated ads to zone you for free and you can react by contining to run straight and get shot or zigzaging until he catches up to you and m1's you. this is the loop that will kill you everytime with no other options or counters if the DS knows this you will lose every gae against him

    @zoozoom6

    Huntress can injure/down you through a pallet.

    Nurse can injure/down you through a pallet.

    Pyramid Head can injure/down you through a pallet.

    Deathslinger can only injure you through a pallet, unless he breaks it.

    You will not find yourself in that specific scenario you describe 100% of the match. There are LoS blockers, Pallets, and ultimately a teammate can even take a hit for you. Like eventually he WILL get you, as every other killer does.

    Huntress throws bus size hatchets yet no one is complaining about her.

    You're really not getting this. If you did "one turn" and he didn't shoot, you would have lost distance and he would have just hit you in the face with a melee. Thus, it circles back to you completely guessing when he is going to shoot. You are not reacting to a good deathslinger "faking" his aim because the shot is unreactable at that range, meaning you are consistently under the threat of him shooting without him even ADSing. If the time to ADS were slower, then you could claim you were dodging it. There is no debate. Tell yourself whatever you want. In that scenario, you are completely blindly guessing and the Deathslinger doesn't even have to aim his gun to force you to guess every millisecond because you can't react to it even when he does.

    @ScottJund

    Hit me at melee range? Wouldn't he have to be right up my behind to do that?

    Even though I did turn and you're right I would have lost distance, I was still running forward. Which is what I think you don't get from that gif.

    I'm not sure how you're claiming you have a plan when I just proved its mathematically impossible to dodge at standard range. Your plan essentially just juking left and right and hoping for the best. That's not a plan.

    @ScottJund

    I didn't juke left and right. I juked right. One turn.

    I estimated where he was going to be shooting after he faked his power. I am not sure how much more clear I can be. Sorry it doesn't fit your mathematical stats. Even if slightly, there is still a window in which intentionally or non-intentionally you can make him miss.

    Just like in this video.

    Ah yes, actual gameplay, where you were in a complete deadzone and in a situation where he should've never taken a shot in the first place, and would've gotten close enough to M1 you or, you know, shoot you in a position where the projectile is too fast to juke whatsoever. And even in that same comment you say:

    I was only able to juke him twice, and after that he was able to read my moves.

    Cool so your not-so-bad but not-so-good friend learned you well enough to hit you every time after that. Imagine someone better. How fun.

    I'm going to add another angle here as well, something people don't think about: On a controller, you will never be able to juke a shot like that due to movement not being instantaneous. Whereas it's totally possible to juke a Huntress hatchet or properly position yourself to avoid having to juke in the first place.

    Deathslinger just isn't fun to face when they're good. There's very little counterplay other than rush gens, hide, and pre-drop pallets. Things people generally complain about from the killer side, mind you. So fun!

    @Divine_Confetti

    Imagine absolutely not reading the context of a message. I said I was playing alongside (as survivor) with another friend (Another survivor). The killer was not my friend. He was a streamer. Shows how much you pay attention.

    I still find the killer fun. Sucks to be you I guess.

  • I like going against him. I like that he requires more skill to counter.

    It gets boring to run killers the same way the majority of them are ran.

    This is such a dumb example. It's not even a quickscope and it's in a controlled situation, not an actual game.

    @Divine_Confetti

    Huh???

    Ok buddy. Look at the first gif then. Where there was actual gameplay... cuz apparently unless your character is in motion it doesn't count. 🙄

    What the heck are you talking about? Deathslinger can go from nothing to firing his gun in 10 frames @ 60fps, or 0.16 seconds. It takes another 10 frames for it to travel this approximate distance which is an average DS shot:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/4N5CGYI2LL6N/bff1a12b351f001ebc15b09cc700e04d.png

    Thats 0.32 seconds - in a world with 0 latency. With a standard 100ms ping, thats 0.22 seconds.

    Assuming you have absolutely perfect reaction time nearing the world record at 0.15 seconds, you still do not have enough time to rotate your model in such a way that the hitbox does not hit you if you are in the dead center of his aim.

    Seriously where did you pull those numbers from

    @ScottJund

    I made a mistake with the numbers, so apologies for that, I was in a hurry when I made the response. (Just went back to look)

    Still, doesn't take away the fact that I did turn and unlike they are claiming, Deathslinger didn't miss (in my gif) simply because I wasn't in range of the shot, I moved. Which is what a lot of survivors fail to do, because they are so stubborn with this idea that he is suppose to be ran like every other killer and instead run in a straight line.

    With all the downsides he has (Reload, Slow Down Speed, Only one shot at a time etc), the fact that he has to have perfect aim also hurts him when survivors move while rotating their character.

    I had a good ping when I played against this specific Slinger because he did get me in other instances (as I said) and some which were within the same distance as what I showed.

    The fact that people keep saying that it's him "missing" and not me (whether accidently or intentional) dodging his hit is baffling. Like, I am not saying by any means his hits are perfect because you get hit in places you shouldn't sometimes too, just like Huntress. I get that. Cuz if we went by that we would be sitting here also talking about how Huntresses wins aren't legit and it's really her buggy hatchets that win her games.

    I am speaking from my own experience and stating what my plan was while running this guy. I am not going to admit I got "lucky" when I know what I was planning in my mind and managed to pull it off.

    You can quickscope with Deathslinger. You can fake your ability. Thats it. File closed.

    And dont tell me anything that i dont know this and that, its extremly unikely you know something about this game i dont ;)

    @xEa

    You're still going to respond, because you think you know exactly what goes on in anyone's matches, even when they tell you what happened exactly till they are blue to the face.
