How are they toxic when its just the killer playing the game? When survivors play the game its no problem at all but for killers to do the same its inherently bad.
What you'll come to realize about this person, is that they label everything they don't like as "toxic".
Choose Nurse or Spirit in the selection screen? Toxic.
Run Pop? Toxic.
Run Ruin? Toxic.
Slug? Toxic.
The true toxicity is in their gatekeeping of other peoples choices and gameplay.

Also how loud and how far away can you hear Ghostface?
You just refuse to accept that other people are better than you at something. Please, learn to accept that you're not the greatest survivor alive. Holy moly, lol

So is it fair that the other 3 survivors also depip because they are not allowed to get their benevolent emblem or evader emblem since the killer refuses to interact with them? The pip/rank system needs to be reworked or camping/tunneling needs to go and personally I don’t care which one happens but one needs to.

No amount of Red Bull is going to help you detect the Ghostface on the other side of the wall.
Except sound.
Also - Ghostface also can't stalk me on the other side of the wall. Again, positioning and situational awareness.
Just because you can't do something, doesn't mean I can't. I do fine.

Killers have craploads of techs.
There's the general ones like tractor tech, TL tricks, and specific mind games you can play at tiles like jungle gyms.
Then there's the map specific ones like jumping onto lockers/pallets from the top of coal tower, jumping the hole in the floor on Badham, dropping through the window on Disturbed Ward.
Then there's the killer specific ones. Doctor can lock survivors into the killer shack. Trapper can use traps to avoid getting pallet stunned. Hag can use her traps' camera spinning effect to make survivors miss vaults or doors. Legion even even has a forbidden tech that lets him avoid his frenzy cool down if he gets blinded while vaulting.
Mind games are not techs.
And regardless, those aren't the kind of "Techs" being referenced here.

But you are on topic about survivors perks. Yes man, you are clearly not care. And you said ruin, undying nerfed but also DS nerfed million times for example. So that is not mean nerf made this perks fair. If they are still op that mean they still need nerf. And i am sure we will see killer nerfs too and Spirit seem like first target for that. Maybe NOED, Ruin next idk. See you soon, take care <3
If you look at my first post, it was an answer to a question, which is where all this came from.

Getting healed doesn't deactivate it. Being fully healed does. That solves the problem.
Eh, I hated DS with a passion before it was nerfed, but I like how they balanced it currently. It's based off of *your own* actions. Not the actions of your team mates. Asking for more is a bit much. It encourages the unhooked person to be healed by a teammate, keeping 2 different survivors off of gens for x amount of time.
-
Wraith is one of those killers that is only as weak as the killer player controlling him. That's the best way to put it. He's not Nurse, or Spirit, but he can stomp a decently skilled team if done correctly.

@Blueberry said:
Yes. If you have time to heal yourself you aren't being tunneled.
I'll take it even further and say if you have time to get healed by someone else you also aren't being tunneled. Should be added to the deactivation.
First part I agree with. Second part is there to stop trolling survivor team mates from intentionally deactivating your DS and leaving you do get chased.

And also i am sorry but old ruin was also trash. Great skill checks was not problem for good survivors. But now ruin is perfect. Just start chase survivor and gen will get damage. And yes that is op advantage and no killers are not doing any effort. Because survivors will start run already when they see you. You are talking like it is so hard lol. And yes i wanna see also nerf meta killer perks. And then we can see different builds. I bored all games face with ruin, undying, bbq, usually devour hope bla bla bla. Killers also using meta perks but when survivors using meta perks they starting "no... that is not fair, those perks meta, not fair for us" bla bla bla.

It's not about being witty. Everything I said has been to the point. It's obvious that I know it's designed through personal contribution through my posts. The conversation is if it's better to make it strictly anti-tunnel which would be a healthier design.
If you were down a survivor who got fully healed and still had DS, you would still be hit by the perk and it wouldn't be "fair", just as how survivors might feel it's unfair to have DS deactivated while healing themselves. I'm trying to find a better middle ground for both sides. Unfortunately, you can't see this and just write people off as being silly.
This isn't a middle ground. You're asking to be able to do something useful to your team while being invincible with DS.

Ruin did not nerfed. Ruin reworked. And new ruin clearly stronger than old version. Because old version was good only on new players. You are happy when survivor perks get nerf but when people talk about nerf some meta killer perks. "They already nerfed, they already weak"
Baby killers make me sad, seriously.
No, ruin was nerfed. Not it does nothing to actively effect anyone working on a generator as it used to. Before, it affected skillchecks, which required no effort from the killer to get value from. Now? It's just automatic regression, which requires effort from the killer. It was effectively a nerf. I also never said "they already weak". Please don't misquote me to further your argument. By doing that, you forfeit any argument you were going to make. But yes - 6k hours, must be a baby killer. Or maybe, you're just a baby survivor. You're out of your depth. For your own sake, stop.
DS was broken. It needed to get nerfed.

If other people have the time to fully heal you, you aren't being tunneled. Therefore, DS should be deactivated if it's a strictly anti-tunnel perk. You're juggling between the perk deactivating through personal contribution or being an antitunneling perk. I don't have to try harder than I want to lol. I don't know how people get off by telling people this rather than just having a civil conversation.
The point is - other people healing you isn't your own action. It's theirs. It's an out for you. I know you're trying to be witty, but it's really not working out. The entire perk is designed around PERSONAL contribution. The description is a dead giveaway.
Your logic is flawed. Please stop. You're making yourself look silly. Like when a dog chases their tail.

Pop and Ruin were already both nerfed. Both of which require the killer to earn any value from them.
Also imagine thinking BBQ needs to be nerfed. Now you've just run out of valid arguments.
You also see FAR more build variety from killers than you do survivors.

I definitely wouldn't call corrupt a "crutch" perk, it's just there to help you out regardless of if you play well or not.
Most of the survivor meta are either earned in some nuanced way, require the killer to do something bad, or have some sort of condition that scales with skill. Adrenaline, for instance, requires you to get 5 generators done. That's your reward for doing objectives. Exhaustion perks require decent positioning. Sprintburst won't help you learn how to loop, but it will help you if you're already a good looper. DS used to be like watered-down survivor NOED, but now it requires the killer to actively hard-tunnel a survivor off of the hook (and down and pick them up in 60 seconds, though). BT requires the killer to be in proximity to the hook, although double calm add-on doctor throws this out of the window. Mettle of Man is an absolute joke but you still have to work for it. All of these require some agency from the survivor's end. Adrenaline especially is incomparable to NOED; the survivor team is rewarded for getting all 5 generators done.
The other issue with NOED is that it's really not that necessary. It's meant for beginners to use, like a walker to help you get on your feet. But early ranks are already in the killer's favor. It's the higher ranks where it becomes evened out more, and you'll rarely need to use a beginner perk at that point. Might as well run Devour Hope instead.
That's why I would say "maybe" you could call it one. Because it really has no "earning" requirement and just helps you by default. I don't actually think it's a crutch.
As for the survivor meta being earned, no. I disagree. Most of them just exist.

@Pulsar said:

I disagree. It isn't toxic.
If you, personally, think that people daring to play a certain character is toxic, then be my guest.
This.
What's really, ACTUALLY toxic is gatekeeping people from playing killers, or perks, by calling it "toxic". THAT is toxic.

@Slickstyles said:

Well, if you have time to get others to heal you, then you weren't being tunneled but that doesn't deactivate DS. You can technically still get tunneled while partially healing yourself.
Others healing you is not an action being performed by yourself. It's someone elses action. If they had DS up and tried healing you (aka contributing to their team), they would lose it. Try harder.
-

Explain to me how it’s not toxic to only play killers that offer no counterplay to the survivors. You are just a salty killer mains that wants to think all survivors are evil because it fits your agenda of ruining the game for the other side. It is legitimately true that nurse and spirit are toxic weather you want to except that or not especially considering most killer main agree that those killers are toxic.
If Nurse had no counterplay, she'd 4k every game, even in competitive play. Same with Spirit.
They don't.
Dead Hard for distance has no counterplay. Neither does Unbreakable. Those must be toxic too, by your broken, salty survivor logic. They're annoying, but they aren't toxic. You can say "lulkillermainbiaslul", but I also defend survivor perks etc. So your entire point is moot. Just because you don't like it, doesn't make it toxic.

They aren't "worse". They just aren't "get out of jail free" cards. As the survivor meta gets toned down with the DS nerf having already happened, and things like Dead Hard soon to see reworks, we'll see some of those forgotten perks be used more and more.

Never, because I have eyes. I've come CLOSE before on Lery's, but I haven't been grabbed off a gen since like 2018.
-
On Hag, it's god tier.
-
As survivor, we have a 360 degree rotatable camera. I also have eyes. I do fine without Spine Chill.
-
Plenty of good perks have come out for survivors. The issue is, they aren't "second chances", so they aren't considered good enough to be in the survivor meta.

Not true actually. Nurse is extremely toxic because if the nurse player knows what they are doing there is no counterplay and the same can be said for spirit not to mention those two killers along with bubba are played so often that no one wants to play against them anymore.
No, it's true. There is no killer, perk, item or addon in the game (Iri head being the ONE exception) that is toxic. Period. There is no version of this where you are correct.

Noed isn't even a crutch perk since the killer only has 3 perks the entire game and could still not get use from noed. It's the same as adrenaline but nobody is gonna call that a crutch.
That too. That's why I say, it's the "closest thing" to a crutch that they have.

What do you need to activate tinkerer? Or ruin? Or Undying? Or haunted grounds? And there are many more
Ruin/Undying require the killer to actively apply pressure to get any value, and they can only pressure one gen at a time. It doesn't chase survivors off the gen by itself. Haunted ground only works if survivors give that to the killer. That's their own fault. They knew the risks when destroying the totem.
Tinkerer is literally just a tracking perk. To get ANY value off of it, the killer has to drop whatever they are doing, and earn the value from it.
Get utterly destroyed.

yes, this is what killers say. But I see it less and less. Las the 5 games I didn’t see it, so probably survs don’t think the same
Survivors also think it's tunneling if the killer goes after them when they were unhooked in the killers face, and try to body block with BT. Survivors also think you're being tunneled if you were working on a gen right after getting unhooked and the killer came to get them.
Survivors also whine that anything the killer runs to help them win = boring, but all their second chances are fine.

When? always. How? camping. Why? Because you're in red rank only because of camping/tunneling.
I want to make this perfectly clear. If a killer is SOMEHOW getting to red ranks by camping and tunneling (more specifically, camping), it's because the survivors are GIVING the killer those pips. In order for a killer to rank up by camping, the survivors have to be complete bots. Period, end of story.
More-so, it's fine for killers to use tactics survivors don't like to win the game. BHVR makes the rules. Not survivors. Survivors don't get to call the killer bad for camping and tunneling, and also run anything in their meta. Which is nearly all second chances.
The killers job is to kill survivors. Even the original DBD tutorial videos showed camping as the intended way to play. They literally showed Trapper hooking Meg, and waiting.
Even MORE than that...IT. IS. NOT. THE. KILLERS. JOB. FOR. SURVIVORS. TO. HAVE. FUN. Do you think it's fun for killers to go against all the second chances in the survivor meta? Against toolboxes with BNPs? Against instaheals and keys? Do you think it's fun for killers to run around at loops just to have you dead hard for distance and make a pallet you SHOULDN'T have been able to make? Do you think we feel outplayed? Do you think that was fun? No, it wasn't. More concern for our fun, and maybe I'll allow you to have fun.

It only works once and the killer can just slug you again. Unbreakable needs to make it impossible for the killer to slug you for it to truly be an anti-slugging perk.

4 survivors can run it at a time. Once they realize the killer is slugging, if they continue to group up, and get slugged again, that doesn't make it NOT an anti slugging perk. It just makes the survivors idiots.

So aside from the mess that is the recent DS nerf, I’ve noticed another probably trivial thing about DS. The perk description of DS reads:
“Using whatever is at hand, you stab at your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape.”
It makes pretty clear that the second chance is in an “ultimate attempt to escape,” meaning it’s probably the last thing between you and being impaled by the spider daddy, and I get that lore takes a backseat to gameplay mechanics, but shouldn’t DS only apply to when you’re on death hook, when you’re really out of options and DS would really be your ultimate attempt to escape?
I guess that fails to address moris and facecamping, as you can mori a survivor on the last hook and if you’re getting camped on first hook, you’re getting camped on second hook. I don’t know, that’s why I’m here.
DS is fine how it is now.

Then why is it considered a negative status effect?
Hex perks are mostly stronger (Barring a few of course). Perks like ruin an devour are really strong. Exhaustion perks are very strong (well besides head on and smash hit anyway)
Im fine with bringing a perk slot to stop exhaustion like mindbreaker or blood echo but “sacrificing” one addon slot for a permanent way to stop a perk is quite as much a sacrifice as bringing DH or small game
Hex perks are not stronger. They can be destroyed in seconds. Exhaustion is reusable maybe times in the same game, and wastes the killers time.

only 4-5 this year. I don’t have a problem with iri head. I kill my self when I see it and that’s all. You want an ultra easy game, ok, I give it to you
I feel that.
I feel like Iri Head itself could stay the way it is, but make it like Hags collision traps. So it trumps all other addons. Meaning, no more "Iri Head/Infantry Belt" etc. Basically, it would be balanced if it was just "one in the chamber". Cause if you miss? That's REALLY detrimental and one miss could cost you the whole game.
-
@ShamelessPigMain said:
Before we eviscerate NOED for being a pRoBlEmAtIc crutch perk, consider what the developers were going for.
NOED is entirely meant to be a crutch perk. It's supposed to help you get kills that you didn't deserve because you played badly. It's supposed to be the killer counterpart to No-one Left Behind (insert laughter), which is supposed to enhance your ability to coordinate late game saves, but come on, really?
So, we can give NOED points for staying true to its purpose. In fact, it may stay too true to its purpose. At the endgame, survivors are going to be concentrated at 2 locations, the gates. This immediately jacks up the power of NOED. I've pulled of 4-man slug endgames with NOED. I had 4 survivors left and I probably didn't deserve that 4k, but hey.
Which segways into the issue of perks like NOED in general. The entire premise of them is unfair, giving killers a bottle of steroids to help them tip the balance so they can get kills they didn't deserve. Imagine if survivors had a perk where you literally cannot die until all the generators are completed, to help baby survivors get wins they don't deserve. This is distinct from second chances; you have to work for it, and in return, it gives you another chance to do well. It gives you the opportunity and you must capitalize on it. That's why old DS was changed. Not only was it nigh uncountable, but it was quite literally a "no skill" perk. If the killer downed you, they probably earned it. The last change, being 60 seconds after being hooked, fixed this and made is to that it was countable and helped you in situations where the killer was playing in a very much unfair way (being tunneling, although you could still get DS'ed without tunneling). NOED takes that fundamentally unfair concept and jacks it up on steroids for something that's both unfair and menacingly powerful.
NOED is the only true "crutch perk" that killers have. You can't really look at any other perk on the killer side and call it a crutch perk, except for maybe Corrupt (but if you call this crutch, you're dumb, ha). It's the only perk that just activates without earning it on the killer side. Everything else (Again, aside from Corrupt) has an earning requirement in order to get use. Hooks, tokens, hits, whatever.
Let's compare this to every single crutch on the survivor side (which is basically their whole meta). Almost all of them just exist without being earned, or are even a reward for failure.

I actually never use exhaustion perks. My main build is either Bond, BT, DS and WGLF or Autodidact, Solidarity, empathy and WGLF
I just think having that easy access to such a powerful debuff on such a long timer is stupid especially the green one.
But as I said huntress also has a lot of garbage filler addons so regardless of her power level her addons need a rework
Exhaustion perks are more powerful than Hex perks. Hex perks can be removed from the match permanently. "Huge debuff".
It's not a debuff, it's a git gud at looping.
