  • I'd like it if the projectile speed was higher, it looks like I'm puking where it should hit them but they manage to barely avoid it a lot of the time

  • If by crutch you mean something that only helps someone if they lack skill at something or in an area (skill checks, chase, stealth, tracking, etc.) I think I'd say survivor. That's not to say killer doesn't have them too, I just think survivor has more of them. Feel free to disagree though

If they're not healing shes automatically better than most of the killers then since she's 115% ms...

That's a self imposed perma tier 3 myers on the survivors part.

She deals with loops as well as any other killer besides Nurse/Huntress(non corrupted) and Spirit.

Minus the lunge and vault speed though

  • I agree, it's garbage on both sides not having enough manpower to get stuff done or feeling like I'm just stepping all over people who are at a big disadvantage

  • There's no real way to nerf SWF unless they do like "for each person in your group you get 1 less perk slot" or something, or give them some other disadvantages to make up for them basically having a bunch of perks for free and more

On the other hand if they make solos as good as SWF then a ton of perks would be gone or useless, and they'd have to buff killers to match that and change some of their perks as well

They can't remove SWF or there'd be astronomical hate and loss of players

They could make a some kind of mode where only solo survivors are allowed, but then I'm guessing most killers would play that to not subject themselves to a more difficult game against SWF, so SWF players would yet again be upset. There's really not a good way to go about fixing this situation

  • I really hope it's not just a survivor with no killer. It would seem kind of like a ripoff if they made us wait the same amount of time for a new chapter but only release one character rather than 2. On the other hand if they released him alone but also kept going with the chapters at a normal rate then I'm all for it

  • Don't prestige anybody other than Nurse, just so when you use her everyone is already shitting their pants because P3 Nurse is the scariest thing in the game (seriously though don't prestige anybody it does next to nothing other than give you a bloody version of a cosmetic)

If you think survivors don't get at least one each patch, + freshly buffed old perks I don't know what to tell you.

I definitely think they do. They should, the whole purpose of perks is to make a difference in the game and if they don't do that then there's no point in having them. Killers get good perks too. Corrupt Intervention is one of the best killer perks there is.

I'm all for survivor perks that promote a playstyle other than genrush and stall the killer, because that stuff is super annoying

  • Yes dude a single clip of one bs hatchet obviously means the game takes no effort for any killer whatsoever and the poor old survivors get screwed over yet again right?

  • Wow a perk that actually makes a difference in the game NERF IT

  • Survivors: complain about tunneling and camping

Devs: change a perk that was mostly an annoying and unavoidable kick in the balls into a tunnel prevention perk that may also help against camping

    Survivors: complain about the perk

  • The bonus should not apply to anyone who is in a SWF with the DCer(s), other than that I'm okay with it

  • Possible solutions:

    1. Break all the totems before gates are powered
    2. Don't get hit
    3. Break the hex after the gates are powered
    4. Don't get spotted
    5. Save DS until the end
    6. Have someone use BT on you
    7. Use a key to escape through the hatch
    8. Don't carelessly go for the gates as soon as they're powered
    9. Hide if the killer checks the gate you're at, if they search one gate the other gate is vulnerable
    10. Go for a gate while the killer is distracted

They aren't all perfect or great or always doable and some may require sacrifice but there are still plenty of counters

  • I've actually tested it before, you don't get healed. Basically broken makes it to where you can't go up to healthy in any circumstances as far as I'm aware

  • I actually think it would be neat (but possibly too strong, but this is just hypothetical anyways) if the Doctor could shock a generator to electrically charge it, and the next survivor to touch it gets a burst of madness (in the neighborhood of 25% of a level of madness)

  • It's kind of like how you can't stop killers from using high level addons

  • You can't really juke a legion though. They can vault and have almost no missed attack recovery time, they can literally just chase after you while barely even using their brain and get you 100% of the time. Maybe you could hit them with a pallet but they can easily juke the pallet and even if they get hit it won't be long before they can frenzy again, so there's nothing you can do except prolong the inevitable.

With the nurse, you can totally juke her. Her power relies on prediction rather than persistence, and if you are unpredictable then she will have a much more difficult time catching you. She is punished when she makes a mistake or when you outsmart her. She has to make a decision on what to do based on what she thinks you will do, and you do the same.

When you are running from legion it isn't about juking and escaping, it's only about stalling. That's not very fun for either side and often it's a lose-lose situation. The survivor dies and the killer gets 1, maybe 2 kills and that's it. It doesn't matter if the other survivors escape, your game sucked ass and the killer's wasn't very good either. Even the ones who escaped probably had a boring game, sitting and doing some gens and then running out. Currently legion isn't good for the game, it makes things less fun for everyone. The devs should change the legion to actually do what it's supposed to do and encourage not tunneling rather than making tunneling the most viable option

  • If someone is trying to kill me then they are automatically ugly

  • The chainsaw makes him fast and allows him to get around easier, and you could definitely consider it a movement power, BUT it doesn't really counter looping/chases and stuff, so it'd be a massive downgrade to him. Using his chainsaw in a chase wouldn't mitigate having 110% movement speed.

Killers like Hag, Huntress, and especially Nurse, aren't hurt as much by reduced movement speed since they have things to help them ignore that, like ranged attacks or teleportation. Although having less movement speed isn't a good thing, they don't need it as much. Hillbilly does need 115% movement speed to be effective

  • My least favorite to play as is Pig. I reallllly hate her power. The stealth feels useless even when I use it right and the traps barely slow the game down at all

I almost chose Pig as my least favorite to go against just because I hate her that much but my actual least favorite to go against is Doctor. I generally prefer stealth so he's kind of... well, you can imagine. I also hate the Spirit because if you keep running you die, if you try and trick her she will get you anyways because your survivor won't quit breathing and grunting and #########

  • Nea is the ugliest killer

  • All Enduring would do is allow the killer to resume chasing 1-2 seconds sooner, DS is still a grasp escape and would still be good because it allows the survivor to continue the chase, delay or prevent them getting hooked again, and at the endgame it's even better because that extra bit may be all they need to reach the gate

  • They should put in more offerings though, ones that actually work properly and affect the game in an interesting way. Like for killer maybe an offering to make 2 basements, add extra dull totems, have fewer pallets on the map, block extra windows, make fewer lockers appear, or to make hex totems look like dull totems. For survivors there could be offerings to increase the amount of pallets, block fewer windows, increase the amount of lockers, maybe even add an extra generator or gate. Of course some of the survivor ones might have to be unstackable though

This is just brainstorming, but I think having more offerings would make them more interesting than just "extra loot/BP" on one hand yeah they kinda clog up the bloodweb but if we had some good ones they'd be worth getting

Might get annoying if they are used every other game though, maybe there shouldn't be survivor offerings that are too good since there are 4 of them and much more likely to have at least one really good offering every game

  • Not sure about Dark Sense but Detective's Hunch could use a buff, it isn't that great unless you are unfamiliar with the map, at least if it activated on every gen that would make it a bit more useful

  • They said something about how they wanted to do some changes to healing in the future, maybe it will get some attention then... Still don't see why they can't leave it buffed until then rather than putting it right back in the "almost not garbage" section

  • I had a similar situation but I was playing Doctor, and this guy called me a hacker because he died, another guy (not even one who died) was also mad at me for some reason, the other two were just laughing at the salty ones and said gg so I guess it worked out in the end

  • This may be an exception but I've actually had some good Billy rounds on Haddonfield. The houses and ledges are annoying as hell but I can get creative with my chainsaw pathways sometimes

  • I'm not gonna lie he's kind of terrible for both sides, devs need to try again

  • If it was less difficult and more feasible to hit several people (which seems to be the main purpose of the power, which is why it is supposed to be an "anti tunnel" killer) then it might actually be decent to use and fun to play against. But the power is better for tunneling than for not tunneling at this rate

  • I think using the flashlight should continue to drain battery for 1 second each time you stop using it, so clicking would be like constantly using it

  • Wow a really weak perk on a really weak killer DC time I guess

  • Maybe don't jump out in front of the killer

"several" other counters so far include:

    'pretending' to run somewhere

Using a perk that has 3 tokens to counter a perk that can proc 6+ times easily

Hiding in lockers: not possible in my hypothetical because we have iron maiden

Running to the hook. (a gamble)

Does nobody see why these 'counters' don't really seem realistic? The killer gets no downside for running this perk. Only upsides. There are downsides for running hex's, they can be destroyed, but not this perk, at least ruin can be dealt with, this perk cannot.

I'm not trying to be annoying but playing against a Billy with BBQ has to be the least fun thing in the entire game. Insta downs + mobility + not being able to hide in lockers because they're running iron maiden. BBQ needs to either have its bonus BP's removed, or should be reworked in such a way that it also has a downside of some kind, because it is arguably the best perk in the game.

There are loads of perks that have no downside. That's why people use them. If every perk had a downside then only a few of them would be worth taking.

What about Bitter Murmur or Rancor? Surveillance, Discordance, Tinkerer, TotH to an extent as well. They reveal you/give away your location potentially several times a match like BBQ does, and that's for doing your job. At least with BBQ someone has to get hooked first, but with the others you are almost guaranteed to be revealed by them at least a few times even when everyone is doing everything right. Why does BBQ get drastically more hate than other detection perks?

  • Hold on, I'm going to go test this out >:D

  • I'm having a hard time finding games on both sides, in the PTB. Normally I can get in a game in a minute or two but now it's taking like 10+

She looks like a combination between piggy and legion

i just hope she is 115% speed killer, i am tired of not being able to M1 survivors when i need to

She is confirmed to be 115%, although charging her power slows her a little bit once it is charged she can hold it and move at normal speed again

  • If she has an addon to make your ######### everywhere then she is going to be my main

  • I just hope they don't ######### their pants and nerf her if most people think she's good. It's okay to have a good killer sometimes, not every new thing has to be mid or low tier to be balanced

As long as the devs are super careful when taking feedback it should be okay

Puke isn't permanently on an object until it effects someone?...

It doesn't damage at first so you should be able to just cover the map tbh...

Also totem changes not gen changes

Honestly if the puke goes away without anyone touching it then it's not that good. Like what's the point in "spreading the plague all over the map" if it's just going to go away without doing anything?

I could see people saying "well if it's permanent then the survivors will be getting infected every move they make" but that's the whole point right? Besides it takes time and effort to spread it so it should be worth it

  • Use Enduring and Iron Maiden. Yeah that's half your perks but imagine the look on their faces

  • @Orion said:

When the infection timer runs out, you also drop one health state.

That's okay, we always rise back up before long

  • They probably didn't say much on purpose so we'd still be scratching our heads and still be eager to get the PTB. Which we would be anyways but they want to give us the big reveal upfront and then let that sink in until we get the details a bit later.

  • I don't know if this really counts as a mindgame but I love getting grabs with M&A Myers. Sometimes I can get away with several in a game but by then everyone's watching their backs

  • B. I always like new perks so I can create more stupid ass meme builds

  • If you want more variety, join the movement to buff weak killers, then you can have something other than Nurse and Billy every game

  • Wake Up! Opens the gate 75/100/125% faster instead of 5/10/15%. I think it's a fair change since this perk only works at the end, and 15% only makes a few seconds of difference at most. Using a perk slot for something that small isn't useful especially when it's so situational. Seeing the gates and letting others see you while opening is nice but still not really worth a perk slot. If it were faster I think it'd be much more useful and some people might actually use it.

Yeah that's pretty fast but the perk does nothing until you power the gates and then it only helps if you aren't already dead or incapacitated. If someone else opens them then you didn't get much use out of it either, so it's a super situational perk which is why I think it should be much stronger.

  • You can't mend yourself with Deep Wounds and it has skill checks

  • If you want a perk to help out, use Alert (Feng Min teachable). Since the killer damaging gens is going to make it difficult to repair them solo (if they are doing it) with that perk you can get a good advantage on them if they don't know where you are. If you already know where the hatch is when Alert goes off then you'll know if you can take the chance and go for it. It works any distance, no cooldown, so it's super good. And even if you aren't in a 1v1 situation it's still useful and it works on pallets too
