It doesn't even work. When I'm blinded while breaking a pallet, I just keep walking straight and end up being as near to them as before... I always feel like if it's a survivor who knows what they're doing way better than me, it's to be toxic, but I also feel like many "average" survivors don't realize it isn't very effective (like for a long time as survivor I honestly thought killers couldn't walk when they're blinded :D ), and that they should rather keep their flashlight charge for trying to blind when I'm carrying a survivor.
"I just keep walking straight" - This is exactly why I do it.. 9/10 times, the killer will break the pallet and continue to walk straight giving me various options, especially if i'm running Iron Will.
1) If not injured; double blind them and run to the side.
2) Blind and vault the nearest window using Q&Q, Lithe & Dance with me to completely vanish.
3) If injured; blind during breaking animation, blind again at the end of breaking animation and dead hard behind you.
4) Blind and simply crouch at the corner of the pallet and watch you run off into the distance.
-
A lot of the time i'll do it to bait a hit against a Legion, Bubba or Billy and it usually works. Their cooldown is long enough to fast vault out of the locker and make a little distance.

I'm saying to do something so they will stop making them get so salty and toxic and instead focus on playing better. You know, like players on the killer side do.
Your killer bias is showing... Killer mains are just as salty as survivors.
-
Personally I dont find DS to be a huge issue. Playing Spirit or Deathslinger, you can eat a DS and catch the survivor again within 3-5 seconds. The only time DS becomes an issue is during end game when you're trying to get a kill and survivors start stacking BT, DS and Body Blocks to get each other out.

Still, if the gen is at like 40% picking someone up can save you a ton of time, the gen stays at 40% and it still will take 45 seconds to a single Survivor to fix it, more than enough time to check on it and chase them away, on the other part now they have to unhook someone and heal him which takes more than 45 seconds. Even with the first free hit an injured Survivor can loop a Killer for a lot of time if you are not very good and the tiles benefit him.
The information Surveillance gives doesnt really matter in this situation, you picked someone near a gen and you are going to hook him near said gen, the very moment someone gets close to it they will first unhook, giving you the information someone is there, noone is going to fix a 50% progressed gen before an unhook.
At the same time if you're down to the last 1-2 gens and this happens, you cant regress it until another survivor touches it.. so you're either forced to camp the gen or walk away and risk losing it.

They're very rare for some reason.

You wanna write up a bug report about this?
Already did, just letting the masses know that if they do somehow get a grab.. lol

Good thing gen grabbing is impossible. :) I was worried for a sec there.
Not when you play Spirit, Wraith or Myers lol I get them all the time.

So pairing it with a Deathslinger.. No one would ever escape.
-
Honestly, i'd rather have the Gateau's over the event items. Event items are kinda useless.unless they're fire crackers
-
There's absolutely nothing wrong with the maps.. and Indoor maps are extremely good for silent killers and Doc. Survivor wise, the only map that is killer sided would be Meat Factory. The rest are completely balanced on both sides.
-
You do realize that Mic's are used through 3rd party clients that the Devs have absolutely no way to detect right?

All the hate towards spirit really gets old. People complain about her having no counter play but that's just a popular myth. I have no trouble playing against your average spirit. Most likely the ones that complain the most are just bad players or are solo queuing and get bad teams. At the end of the day she's just an M1 killer with a ability not unlike any other killer. Is she strong? Sure. A lot of killers are. I think playing as optimally as possible on both sides that oni, billy, nurse and maybe hag and freddy are all stronger killers. People act like every spirit is god tier but i've seen some pretty mediocre ones.
Please stop blaming the spirit for your shortcomings. If she's a menace to you run iron will, it helps trust me. I cannot fathom what a nerf to her would even look like. If what the community wants gets done she would be useless. I think she's very fun to play and challenging to play against, but that's ok. I don't want to be spoon fed escapes i'd rather earn them.
Why so butthurt?.. Because when I play Spirit, using a Mother-Daughter Ring and Yakuyoke Amulet running Ruin/Surveillance/BBQ & Stridor, 7/10 matches result in a 4K with 0 Gens finished. A good spirit can easily dominate a team, even if they're a SWF.

100% agree... the one time I did go into this room, I was followed by a clown and the guy ended up having Bamboozle.. So I was completely trapped inside the room, even after the first initial hit.

we finally had a killer that could fight against the insanely overused perks like DS/BT but right after everyone spent money on him he is ruined (they waited long enough so that we cant get a steam refund )
Back to seeing DS/BT on multiple survivors every game
Uhhh how does this change anything? BT and DS still wont proc... so the only reason you would be upset is because you couldnt tunnel someone.

As a survivor; I actually like the new map. If you're with a SWF group you can easily dominate a killer.

If you switch characters during the lobby and don't re-select your offering, it won't burn. Weird bug introduced with this patch. Also causes the empty perkset at scorescreen bug, as well as the wrong killer power. Just any time you swap characters re-equip the offering and you should be fine
No, the offering was still equipped.. I even double and triple checked in the menu screen midmatch. It literally just refused to show the pop up to kill anyone.
-
Why are people complaining? The ratio isnt that off.. There are 9 Female and 14 Male killers.
Female - Nurse, Huntress, Hag, Piggy, Spirit, Plague
Male - Trapper, Wraith, Billy, Myers, Doctor, Leatherface, Freddy, Clown, Oni, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head
Other - Demo
Both - Legion/Ghostface

Today I played on Silent Hill map, I get this map too often. Its new, and Im already tired of it. Two rooms are without a single pallet or window, exit gates are literally in front of each other. When I play as killer, I hate when I hear a gen being done right above me, and I can't find a way up there. Pain to navigate.
This should help you out bud. It's actually not that bad of a map.

Breakable doors switch on this map. It's not always the same
No one ever said they did? The only breakable doors that are constant on this map are the Library, The Reception room, The Hall and The Girls Bathroom.
The Classroom Hall breakable walls are part of the two possible tile sets that can spawn.
A) 3 open doors+1 window vault+1 breakable wall.
B) 4 open doors+1 open wall where the Window Vault would be.

I'd rather have the last survivor leave than spend 1 hour looking for 1 person who isn't going to touch 1 gen.
As a survivor as well, I'd be petty and hide for 1 hour to make the killer DC.
That's why.
If it takes you an hour to find a survivor, then you have bigger issues. Even when my friends and I play "Blendette Hide & Seek", our matches don't last an hour.

Yeah there are multiple map variants, it just feels like certain maps have higher probabilities than others.

If she got hit with a 1 hour ban, then she's dc'd more than once in a 24 hour period. The first 2 DC's are 5 minutes, 3rd is 15, 4th is 30 minutes and 5th is an hour.

If you're going to run Solidarity, you need to run a fool healing build.. Solidarity/Auto-didact/Spine Chill and Empathy. Using Solidarity, you have to always make sure you're healing the other person first.

So I was playing on Springwood (which one, I can't remember, sorry) just finished a gen in the houses basement, and I found this.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/090/MF4TH7KDNSMZ.jpg
I couldn't make out too much of it, aside from "Anxiety anxiety" a word that starts with an all cap "DECON" and continues in lowercase, and the other thing that I COULD read, was "Rebecca Caldwell"
The image on the clipping looks (to Me) like the Wraith in front of a full moon of sorts. Though, the shoulders, and waist seem a bit puffy for the Wraith...
I know some devs enjoy Stephen King's works, and the only thing horror related with her name was a character on "The Dead Zone" show, where she is a Child Psychiatrist.
Any ideas what this could be about? Or is this just something that's always been in the game that hasn't been noticed?
Lol... Ironically I just found this too - Steve Mann is a Canadian engineer/professor & inventor known for his work in augmented reality, computational photography, particularly wearable computing, and high dynamic range imaging.

It's not that simple.. Internet providers are creating a monopoly.. Where I live, I only have 1 option for an internet provider and because i'm on a mountain, they don't provide extremely high speeds here. Enough to get by, but not 1GB speeds.

How is the hag holding the game hostage. Do gens and leave. If the survivors dont leave they are the ones holding hostage.
@ChainsawCharlie said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1256699#Comment_1256699
The Hag isn't holding the entire game hostage. Just one player. There's still 3 other players. I see this comparable to camping, just without the hook stage timer. Camping is ALSO as others have claimed "ruining another player's experience and making them depip." But it's allowed.
As I explained earlier, this is a BAD area for a killer. There's one hook in that immediate area, and 2 bottle-necked doorways. The Hag would most likely be bodyblocked by all 3 survivors on the way to the hook and be forced to hit them all and then Dwight would wiggle free, then they'd all run off to the gates that are 99ed. And that's IF they don't just sabo that hook. The closest second hook in that area is pretty far off and there's no possible way Hag would get there in time. It shouldn't be assumed the Hag was doing this just to be rude. It's more likely they are just trying to secure at least one kill because that's usually what killers do when all the gens are completed. That's why if I'm on the hook I always tell my friends not to complete the last gen until I'm off hook.
If the Devs even agree its holding the game hostage, then your arguments are invalid. "Do gens and leave" doesnt excuse the fact that 1 player is still being forced to sit there, unable to play the game, unable to dc and are unable to have any because of a killer holding them hostage. Camping a hook, they can still be saved. In this situation, there's literally nothing they can do.

4 x survivors.
5 x gens 80 seconds per gen = 4:00 minutes based off 1 x survivor
chances are you come across these totems they’re just not a priority in survivors heads. Yet survivors state they take too long to cleanse..... 5 x totems 14 seconds perk totem = 70 seconds for 5 totems. You can’t say you don’t have time to do totems.....
Hypthecially say the killer only got 2 hooks all game, he got a third during EGC and Devour Hope procs It’s the exact same thing as NOED (besides the speed boost). Only DH will likely be cleansed early game because of the “Oooo shiny!” Mentality.
On the opposite end if the killer is constantly hooking, engaged in chases etc. Then the killer is simply better than your team. If he has NOED so be it. Blaming a 3 perk killer for 1 perk that’s activated in the final 2 minutes of gameplay, instead of acknowledging survivors ignorance.....
I’m not saying you’ll find all five totems every single game, but if all survivors change their mentality they’ll all be cleansed more often than not.
A simple all rounded survivor acknowledgment of totems are priorities would make NOED obsolete and killers would stop running it.
But go ahead, make a valid argument on how it’s not ignorance I’ll wait.....
Sorry but no.. this doesnt put it to rest. As a solo survivor, unless you bring Detectives Hunch or a Rainbow Map, there's absolutely no way you can tell how many totems your team cleansed. This forces every single survivor to search for 5 totems with the mentality that none have been cleansed. Thus resulting in everyone wasting time searching for totems that could have already been cleansed.
While you're correct, they take 70 seconds to cleanse.. What you're failing to factor in is the amount of time it takes to find said totems which could easily be double the amount of time it takes to repair all 5 gens. Especially if you have those 1 or 2 rogue totems that were blessed by the entity to spawn in ridiculous spots.
-
@Peanits said:
Unfortunately you can't, but as they're doing it before the collapse started, it would be reportable.
Wouldn't a solution to this issue be to just adjust the collision boxes? Like if a player runs into a survivor/killer for 5-10 seconds; it allows them to pass through it?
-
@Kakateve said:
By not just standing there? Do the gens quickly and leave. EGC finishes the match eventually.
"Do the gens quickly"... nice excuse. The fact is, this Hag is holding the game hostage and the gens were already done. A survivor shouldnt be punished just because a killer wants to be a poor sport. There should be a way for survivors to escape this situation.

Killer isn't laughably easy. That's an incredibly silly thing to say and shows your bias right off the bat. If you truly believe that, you need to post video proof of you getting multiple 4Ks in a row at Red Rank, otherwise you're just making a bold unproven claim.
But anyway...where were you the last 6 months of this game when they nerfed Nurse, Spirit, Freddy, Oni, Legion, and majorly killed Ruin which ended up indirectly nerfing killers that lack early game pressure like Trapper, Hag, and killers with no mobility like Clown and Bubba? Killers got the ######### end of the stick for months in a row and because they close some exploit windows and tone down toolboxes you're throwing a fit? Please...just learn to run basic tiles, structures, and mindgames, instead of relying on loops where the killer just has to follow you through until Entity Blocker.
Killers are constantly accused of using crutches but both sides are just as guilty.
Record multiple videos? Just play survivor and see how many times a killer gets at minimum a 3k.. More often than not, they're getting a 4k and you end up dying. Unless you're a god tier SWF, there's at least a 70% chance of a killer getting a 4K in todays game.

Resilience, Spine Chill, Botany & Knowledge, Q&Q + Green Med Kit
Lithe, Q&Q, Inner Strength, Iron Will or Detectives Hunch.

If only there was a perk that could let you heal at any time and be able to tank a hit and get free burst of speed.
Or a perk that give you a free head start in a chase to help you reach a safer area.
Or, you know, actually planning routes instead of blindly holding W and crying at the devs when that doesnt work.
:)
If only Killers knew what they were talking about before they spewed utter nonsense..
Adrenaline only activates IF the final gen is done. How does this help you in a dead zone?
Sprint Burst immediately activates when you start running. How does this help you if you're already exhausted or are in a safe tile and the killer forces you out of it into a dead zone?
