i never get these emails. Shame should just be posted on your stat tracker page instead.

Yeah, I never receive the emails either.

Edit- Just got the email, lol.

  • Oh, BHVR, you really shouldn’t have… I mean, 50,000 BP? Wow. I can level up one whole bloodweb. You guys are truly generous!

And the shards? Please, your kindness knows no bounds. I’m so close to being able to afford a single piece of that cosmetic I’ve been eyeing.

Thanks for everything you do for this game and community. Really. :)

I haven't spent a cent on this game in months. People might still play but can let their wallets do the talking.

Same, I’ve stopped spending money on this game, and I’m someone who has spent an embarrassing amount on it before. I only recently started playing again after taking a break, and while I know I’m just one person and won’t make a huge difference, at least I’m glad I’m not throwing money at them anymore for being so incompetent.

  • I hate Stranger Things, terrible show in my opinion, and with the game being in such a bad state right now, I wouldn’t spend money on it even if I were interested.

  • I’ve seen way more Ghouls than any other killer and haven’t come across a single killer below A tier. guess what? Tunneling is still just as bad, if not worse, but apparently killers only tunnel because they have to… what a joke. LOL

  • Yeah, the legendary Tiffany cosmetic is perfection. A lot of the other legendary skins don’t have the same quality, especially the survivor ones. I really hope they go back and fix some of them.

  • Not all killers wanted these changes, but some think they’re completely fine. I was having a discussion with someone on the Steam forums, and they said it’s a skill issue on the survivor’s side and that the pallets were fine. It really boggles my mind how anyone can defend this. It’s apparently a skill issue for survivors, but perfectly fine to have your hand held when it comes to killers. Like, really?

  • Great idea! Let’s make those queue times even longer!

  • I'm only 29, and I've had people get upset when they lose and tell me to go take care of my kids instead of playing games. Honestly, I just laugh it off.

Edited to make the comment a little clearer, haha.

  • I'm not okay with it. I quit playing a few months ago, and up to that point, I'm not exaggerating when I say I purchased almost every character in the game and their cosmetics. I guess I'm what some people call a whale, lol. But that's stopped for me. I no longer buy anything for this game because of the state that survivor is in (mostly solo). I still check the forums when there's a new update to see what has changed, but yeah, I'm done with this game for now. Do better BHVR.

  • Yeah, it's pretty bad. I really hope they make improvements in the future. lol

  • @Trappler said:

Or perhaps because they want to make other items and chests more viable and because it's an incredibly problematic perk that overwhelmingly harms solo-Q? I understand where you are coming from but it's a healthy change to encourage survivors to bring other items and go for chests as well as encourage killers to bring anti-healing perks if they are concerned instead of one perk that just potentially deletes survivors builds for free. I mean really it would be silly if the devs released a perk that said do a gen to remove killer power.

This is how I feel about it as well.

There's no current plans for any base changes, for right now we're happy with what we're seeing - it will still be monitored and see how that develops.

Thank you for replying to our questions, Mandy. I appreciate it. I'm glad there are no plans to change him at the moment because he does feel like a well-balanced killer. He's fun to play as and against, in my opinion. You guys did a great job with him.

  • I've been using this perk today and haven't noticed any bugs with it. It's probably a hacker.

  • I don't often use addons on any killer, so it doesn't affect me much. However, I find it unsurprising that Bonnie's guitar strings and security badge were nerfed. Those add-ons needed a slight nerf (imo).

  • I already have every perk and most characters in the game at Prestige Level 3. Every time I use a Bloodpoint offering, the killer ends up playing extremely aggressively, and I end up earning very few points while the killer racks up a lot for playing that way. It feels like I'm rewarding the killer for that behavior. That's why I stopped bringing them.

I’m not looking to win hearts or minds.

I got 70 pies in 2 hours. I had 0 bp. It’s been 24 hours of the event. They have LOTS of time to get a whole lot more.

I personally don’t have an issue with the reduction in the number of pies since I don’t use them anyway. However, it’s disappointing for those who may not be able to play every day. Hopefully, they will increase the number. No harm in doing that!

  • It seems more difficult to play as a killer, but it might just be a skill issue on my part. I'm trying to get good with Springtrap, but I'm failing miserably. All I encounter are survivors who pre-run before I can teleport to them, and they’re really good at dodging my attacks. I’m lucky if I even manage to get a 2K. I don’t tunnel or camp, and I also avoid using slowdown perks, so combined with my lack of skill as this killer, it’s a frustrating experience!

  • This isn't surprising; this community is awful, to be honest. Who cares if they might not like SM and made a joke about it? I’d say the majority of people dislike her, lol.

  • Yep… As a survivor, I dislike this event. I finished my quests for today, and I'm back to playing the regular game.

I have to be honest but I'm not entirely sure where people were coming from with the first iteration of the AFK crows. Unless I've always been a VERY active survivor player I've never once gotten crows since it's implementation. And from my perspective on killer matches I've only seen somebody get the crows once because they were afk for 5 minutes. I have to wonder what people were (or weren't) doing to gain crows in their matches because I've hardly experienced them or seen anyone experience them. The only way you're getting them was if you're just spending 2 or more minutes at a time doing nothing.

To be fair, I made a similar comment a few days ago, and I ended up getting crows in one of my games after that comment. The killer was Knight, and I received crows after having multiple chases with his guards. Endgame builds can also be problematic with the AFK mechanic as well (looking at you, No Way Out).

  • The tunneling in the game is currently out of control. I hope the new tunneling mechanic they are working on punishes this behavior significantly because it's ruining my enjoyment of the game (and others). I have thousands of cakes across multiple killers and survivors, but I've chosen not to use them because I don't want to reward that kind of behavior.

  • @Marzipan210 said:

Eh it is perfectly fine for aspects of a killer's kit to be completely optional. If the only way to get value out of Springtrap's power was to go for orbitals all the time then he wouldn't be fun to play and if he was just another killer where you have to go and interact with his pre-placed item every 30 seconds or die then he probably wouldn't be fun to play against.

I share the same thoughts. If the best way to play as Springtrap involves going for orbital shots, I would stop playing as him. I do agree with Scott regarding Springtrap's strength—he's not an overly strong killer, and if he were to be nerfed (which he doesn’t need), it would make him feel extremely frustrating to play. I can see Bonnie's guitar strings getting nerfed or being made a higher rarity, but honestly, that's about it.

I'm very active all game and never got crows. Now I'm getting crows while trying to find hex totems. It's super embarrassing showing up to a gen with them. I've also seen numerous people avoiding it by hopping on a gen for a few seconds in between hiding in a locker, so it's mostly useless.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3948135#Comment_3948135

If you haven't seen killers do that than you're lucky. That's like every 5 games for me. The slugging is out of control even with 4 or 5 gens left to do. They have no incentive to not do it aside from being decent, and why would anyone do that?

I don’t love the new system (it has issues I acknowledged) and wouldn’t mind if it were completely removed. I was sharing my thoughts and experiences.

  • Guys, they're not going to killswitch the new killer that has attracted thousands of new players. Doing so would ruin the hype and excitement surrounding Springtrap. Yes, these bugs are annoying, but they're not game-breaking.

  • It's a combination of learning how to play against him and his many bugs. Springtrap is one of the most balanced killers we have seen in a long time; he's not overpowered at all.

  • @RunawayMilkyway said:

Honestly I get the changes they've made, but it feels like they're just punishing anyone who isn't letting themselves be easy pickings for the killer with the afk crow changes, while also punishing anyone who is too easy pickings with the go next penalties. Engage in normal game play, where you have to try to hide/outsmart the killer to avoid being detected? Cool, have a crow! Try desperately to gen rush to stave off the crows? Cool, killer kills you and now you get penalties! Also your fellow survivors tried to come get you, but the killer was camping the area and the crows didn't give them a chance to get close before alerting the killer. So now they're also on a hook!

In addition, I've seen killers start slugging with 3 players left in the game now. I've had maybe 4 matches recently where the killer tunneled one player out of the game, and then slugged the last 3, which prevented survivors from using any of the supposed protections or finding hatch. I don't believe I'd ever seen that before. I think that killers slugging, camping, and tunneling is a way bigger issue than anyone abusing go next, and should have been addressed first, especially since at least some of the go next abuses were to avoid tunneling/slugging/camping killers. It feels like the queues are always desperate for survivors to play, and yet this update just did everything in its power to punish survivors for existing

I'm going to be honest: I dislike the "go next" changes; they were a disaster and backfired. However, I don't think the AFK Crow changes are that bad. Since the update, I haven't encountered a single Crow. I’m aware there are issues with Crows in the endgame, especially with perks like NWO, but in my experience, everything seems fine in normal gameplay. I guess the system may be buggy and giving players crows that don't deserve them.

yea im ngl foxy's hook is still like… really good. 10% for 6 seconds was straight up oppressive.

But the celebrate poster is an addon you equip to lose, because you straight up help survivors more.

I agree. Foxy's hook is still fine, but the Celebrate poster is really underwhelming now. I think I've only seen one or two Springtraps using it, and I don't believe I've used it at all. I hope they go back and tweak that addon, to be honest.

  • @thrawn3054 said:

Nothing wrong with using slow down perks. Hell I'd argue it's needed if you're going to play without camping and tunneling.

Winning without slowdown perks or tunneling/camping can be tough against a skilled team, but in my experience, it’s not necessary in most games. I checked my stats yesterday, and I currently have a 76% kill rate with Pig, a character I've been playing on and off since her release. I usually don’t use any slowdown perks, and I rarely tunnel or camp, as I understand how unfun and unfair that can be for other players.

  • @Eelanos said:

I've already read about 4 different players coming for the FNAF chapter and uninstalling after the game locked them out of queuing because they got tunneled since the first minute of the match.

All the junk this game has is getting exposed by the FNAF chapter and the anti Go Next mechanic. It's beautiful.

I don't understand why they thought adding this mechanic during one of the most anticipated chapter releases was a good idea. Unsurprisingly, it backfired, as anyone with at least one brain cell could see this was not a good decision.

  • It is a disaster and needs to be removed until it's fixed. Another issue with this system is that it forces you to stay in games with cheaters and trolls.

I just had a game where a SWF group kept running up to the killer and getting themselves downed while completely ignoring the generators. They had no intention of actually playing the game, and they even brought luck offerings. It’s frustrating to be stuck in a match like this or face a disconnect penalty. I think I'm done playing survivor for now; it just doesn't feel worth my time. Good job Devs…

  • People are probably just tired of seeing him. He is far from overpowered, not even close.

  • I'm not entirely sure, but I received it after purchasing some of the Five Nights at Freddy's shirts.

EDIT- I bought all of Springtrap's cosmetics as well, so it could have been that; I'm not sure, to be honest.

He's pretty loud, you can hear him moving towards you so free hits are survivors not paying attention because they are used to the TR.

I can hear him just fine without headphones (he is very loud). I have no idea how people are getting grabbed. I have not been grabbed a single time today or on the PTB.

  • @Deathslinger1of2 said:

    Please undo the change

I'm fine with them adding a secondary effect, but with the right killer, add-ons, and perks, it was almost impossible to open the exit gates, and that is not healthy for the game.

  • I have this perk in my build right now; I guess I'm unequipping it. Does this surprise anyone, though? This is just ridiculous.

  • @JustRight said:

same thing that I always do when trying the new killer on release; go back to playing the same meta killers as before because the new one got gutted after coming out

How is he gutted? I played a lot on PTB and didn’t notice a significant difference between the PTB and the live version. I know many of his add-ons got some changes, but overall, he still feels pretty much the same to me.

  • I'm looking forward to Springtrap's release; he's super fun to play as! I've got a bunch of BP and Auric Cells to spend at launch, and I'll probably get every cosmetic. I am also excited about the bulk BP spending, and it's nice that some perks also got buffed. Overall, it's going to be a great update.

Blond moment here. I am trying to follow the convo. What’s PTW?

    Pay to win

  • @mecca said:

It'll be hilarious watching killers wait 30 minutes to play the new P2W killer.

Bulk spending is the only good change.

I don't know if you've played the PTB or not, but I played it every day until it was taken down, both as a survivor and as Springtrap. I found it enjoyable for both sides. There's no way this killer is PTW; not even close. He can only throw his axe once before it goes on cooldown (he is slower while carrying the axe), and he can teleport, which hardly makes him a PTW character.

I'm just curious: why do you think he is PTW?

  • I can't wait for the FNAF chapter to release! Springtrap will be my new main for a while, and I will P100 him. I hated when the PTB ended! It has been hard to wait since then.

I have my Auric Cells ready for the release. The cosmetics look nice!

They'll claim every survivor is bad at the game until they lose. Then suddenly every survivor is part of Seal Team 6

This reminds me of a game I played yesterday as a solo survivor. My team and I were working together closely, unhooking, saving each other, and healing. The killer thought he had lost to a "strong SWF". When I told him we weren’t a coordinated group, he called me a liar. This is a pretty common thing in my games.

    Untitled design.png

Edit: Sorry for the massive image! lol

  • I was very disappointed when Springtrap's power got revealed because it seemed like a mix of Huntress, Dredge/Xeno, and Unknown, which didn't fit the character from FNAF (IMO). His power wasn't what I expected, but he is still extremely fun and different enough from the other killers to enjoy him a lot, so I'm satisfied. He will be my new main, and I will get him to P100.

  • I'm at level 60, but I don't play much, so I'm unsure how far I'll get.

  • I can’t be the only one who thinks the "go next" changes won’t make much difference. I can't count how many times I've unhooked players in the past who wanted to leave the match, only to watch them run straight back to the killer, troll their teammates, or be unhelpful for the rest of the game. Forcing them to stay won’t change that. In my opinion, the developers should focus on understanding why so many players leave games and address those underlying issues, rather than implementing band-aid fixes. Just my thoughts.

  • Oni needs some changes, and Legion should be removed from 2v8 entirely. If those changes happen, I might play more 2v8, but until then, I'm not touching it again.

  • Legion needs to go! I'm never touching 2v8 again unless this gets addressed.

  • I don’t think I have ever complained about the rift rewards, but I feel that almost everything in the new rift is disappointing. The designs look awful. I know that sounds harsh, especially considering that a lot of hard work probably went into creating these skins, but I am just being brutally honest. I hope the next set of rewards will be better. I will be skipping this one.
