To me, It really doesn't matter how short the hair, or dark the cosmetics when it comes to playing killer because while the cosmetics may make them blend in a little better, they all still have the "lighthouse effect" red stain giving away their position from across the map. This is what makes stealth killers, or killers using stealth perks like Dark Devotion more of a threat. As soon as a killer gains the Undetectable status, regardless of their height or cosmetics, they lose their tell-tale red stain and terror radius. People already Heavily complain about deathslinger because of his Smaller than average TR, but because he's so tall and has the red stain, he's still easy to spot, but can you imagine how much more people would complain if it became common for Deathslinger players to equip perks that gave him Undetectable?
Some examples: Hag with Dark Devotion is a major threat to survivors because it takes that red stain away from her, but aside from Michi, you really don't see many Hag main streamers using it. Spirit loses her red stain every time she passively phases, which gives her the advantage of not being easily spotted from any range, but you don't see killer players running her 2 add-ons that increase the passive phasing frequency and duration that much either. If you want something terrifying, go up against a dark cosmetics legion running stealth perks. They're already short, and highly mobile, so gaining undetectable while wearing dark cosmetics is a surefire way to catch survivors off guard and ensure chained stabs, but again, you don't see many legion players utilizing stealth perks for some reason. The shape is tall af, and because of his bright white mask he's also easy to spot, but time and time again survivors get caught off guard by him when he's in the first stage of his power because he's undetectable, but can you imagine how much worse it would be for survivors if it became common place for him to run stealth perks, especially when he reaches EW3 and can insta-down everyone?
Overall what I'm getting at is that as long as the killers have a red stain and TR, they are easy to spot regardless of their cosmetic choices, height or range, so unless you take those things away by going undetectable, you gain no advantages whatsoever with your cosmetic choices.
I love dark devotion, its one of my favorite killer perks. You can make use of it with a lot of killers, like Myers in T3 with no terror radius.. my favorite.
-
Are you being sarcastic right? Because its completely the opposite. As a rank 1 killer my queue times are a bit longer and the MM face me with new players with gray rank... And as a solo survivor is even worse.
-
Using Dark devotion is extremely fun with legion too.
-
I use BBQ, Bamboozle, Blood echo and Pop. With defaced smiley pin to apply mangled and mural sketch for feral frenzy duration. A fun build.

this new MMR not good for new players.
Yes, its terrible. All my matches are contantly 4k and with 3 to 5 generators left. What were they thinking when putting players with thousands of hours againts new ones?
-
New players uninstalling in 3.. 2.. 1...
-
its the same for me.. Im destroying mixed ranks survivors.. even got a rank 20 survivor while im a red rank killer...

Pig hasn’t received enough nerfs either. Make it so she can put a trap on her own head so she can kill herself :D
RIP piggy mains.

He's now taking cups of tea with Freddy in the top tier list.

It seems dumb at first - but with the new MMR coming out, killers will have their own individual MMR. Meaning, if you're a god tier Nurse, you'll go against people of similar MMR, but if you're just trying to learn say...Trapper for example, you won't be put against death squad survivors. In theory.
So another MM change, i wonder how will that turn out. None of the changes worked well so far.. Rainbow MM is still a thing.

Tbh I have no clue what difference it even makes, I wouldn't care if I was a survivor and the killer wanted to change characters quick. Seems really pointless to me as well but what the hell do I know lol
Also most killers including myself queue up first and then choose killer, addons, and so on, to win some time while we wait.
-
I agree new auras are horrible, opacity is like 30% I hope its a bug so they can revert it back.
-
You must be really unlucky, because when i play piggy almost everyone take off their RBT in the first or second jigsaw box. Its very rare to see someone with the RBT on their head long enough to trigger the kill even with tampered timer.
Her ambush is one of the worst killer powers, its only useful if you waste your 2 addon slots with the ones that buff it and its very situational.. Personally i think is a waste of time, its much better to carry addons for RBT instead.
About her crouching to avoid BT, yea it may suck for survivors but they can still trigger DS on you, so not very powerful. This is one of the few good things about pig if not the only.
I like piggy she was one of my main, but she was nerfed heavily constantly by the devs without proper reasons. So why don't you take the time to play her and see how she performs in red ranks? You will notice that your complains are no more than an overreaction mixed with misfortune instead of a reality. Or maybe you are talking about green or grey ranks.. but every killer is powerful in those ranks. Violet and Red is the true DBD experience.
-
Its everyday chat talk as killer. Don't take them seriously. Ill leave you this funny meme to cheer you up.

Cry me a river, honestly. Imagine crying about stretched as if you play csgo with 1 million dollar on the line and this being the main concern.
Stretched is not a free win for survivors and you can play stretched res as killer aswell.
So tired of all the whining about stretched res when it's not a big deal at all.
So much butt hurted survivor mains here lol. Its incredible how people defend this kind of things. Getting unfair advantages in games that you aren't supposed to get is cheating and should be an immediate ban.
If you like cheating on games then go back to CSgo, there is plenty of cheaters there that will have the same opinion than you. Here in DBD is another history..
The community may be toxic, but almost everyone agree that cheating don't have a place here and luckily the dev team thinks the same and with their efforts through this years and the anticheat system we have a fairly protection behind the game. Of course it can be improved, but you don't see other companies improving so much in little time about cheating like that this days, most games only cares about money and have serious cheating problems *cough cough, PUBG, cough cough CSgo, cough cough Rust*

I know the power is still broken, but they said they fixed his power in patch 4.0.2
Hmm.. i read the patch notes and it says "Fixed an issue that prevented Blood Fury from activating if the power meter was filled up while carrying a Survivor"
But that doesn't make any sense because you don't have to be carrying a survivor for this bug to happen... you just have to fill the power passively in no matter what situation..
Looks like they weren't aware by that time when the patch come or they need to test things better.. i reported this bug before the patch in june 18.

It's sad that I collecting tons of cake on Oni and now I have to stop playing him cause I can't use his power. Hoping the devs fix them soon
Yep it sucks, i have him on p3 with lots of addons and offerings and i can't play properly with this annoyance. I do hope that they take the time to properly fixing it next time.

No doubt that Wraith wins the most funny, and i think Piggy 🐷 the most cute stun sound.

Its not a bug. Its the ultra-rare addon called "Judith Tombstone" It allow Myers to kill healthy survivors or injured in Tier 3 by using M1 when hes right next to you. Here is the description:
Judith's Tombstone:
A large and heavy granite tombstone stolen from Mt. Sinclair cemetery, belonging to Judith Myers.
- Kill healthy or injured Survivors with Evil Within III
- Disables the ability to Stalk with Evil Within III.
- Tremendously increases the amount of Evil required to reach Evil Within III for the first time.
- Moderately decreases The Shape's Movement speed.
-
The killer have been broken for more than a month. You are supposed to be able to activate the power either by blood orbs, first hit or passive recharge, but the passive recharge is bugged and forbids you the activation of your power until you hit a survivor again. Very annoying..
It happens on pc too, the only advise i can give you, until the devs stop ignoring killer bugs.. is try to not fill the power passively, its tricky and very annoying but is either that or not playing the killer at all.
-
@ThisGuuy83 said:
I've made 3 diff posts about this in the last 2 weeks, and the devs still haven't even acknowledged it... But if DH or DS wasn't activating, that ######### would've been fixed within 48hrs. I just don't get it.. 🤷♂️
Yep no doubt about that... Killer related bugs usually take months to get fixed and there are some that even celebrated their birthday more than one time and still there.
But this is a mayor bug that forbid the use of your power. So i was hoping that they take the time to fix this soon.. But so far it have more than a month, to my knowledge. it may have more.
-
So any chance that this bug will get a fix in the next patch?? Passively recharging the yamaoka wrath forbids the oni the use of blood fury until you hit a survivor again... The killer is broken

@notReni said:
I have the same problem. The meter is red and it's telling me to hold Left Ctrl to activate, but when i do, nothing is happening sometimes. It can really ruin a match for me when i really need the power but i just can't use it.
@Cheers said:
This occurs when Blood Fury passively reaches 100% on the gauge. I'm not sure if the devs are aware of this, although I've posted my own report.
Glad i'm not the only one so they can fix it. It don't happen always, but when it does.. it certainly can give the survivors an unfair advantage.
-
So not sure if its a bug but no pedestal spawned in the deathlinger map.
-
No lincensed character? thats too bad...

@JacksonWise said:
Killers are gonna start boycotting if those sound bugs don't get fixed soon. Hope they can get a hotfix rolling in the next week or so.
We need a big patch that addresses the long list of killer bugs. It's about time ... the list is not being shortened patch after patch, on the contrary, it is getting longer.
-
It is, but because main survivors cried oceans this is what we got. Probably 90% of the survivors playerbase hate legion. And don't forget the miss attack fatigue... what a joke.. like if Legion was a Nurse Tier to get some fatigue... That change was the most dumb thing they did.
-
As today june 18, this is not fixed. Devs pls... have at least half a battery at fixing bugs that affects killers.. Just played in coldwind farm.. didn't hear a single footstep.
-
It happens after every new chapter.. people don't like to take the time to learn to play against him or play as him to know.

If the devs are as killer sided as you claim, then can we fix survivors literally making no sounds this patch?
No grunts of pain randomly. Free Iron Will.
Literally none of the footfall sounds are working except on swamp. Silent movement. No reason to even crouch to be quiet. Can just sprint.
No yelling or landing noises when dropping down from a great height, even without Balanced Landing. So free half of Balanced Landing just passively.
Survivors making no noise on the ground is still not fixed despite them saying in the patch notes that it was fixed.
Survivors don't even make breathing noises with Iron Will, even though that's not how the perk is supposed to work. It's only supposed to reduce grunting noises.
And hag traps not triggering... Poor hag never get some attention. There is a lot of nurse bugs too.. and i saw a piramid head, Punishment of the Damned streched through the entire map like if it was one of those funny garrys mod glitches, a big ass bug. Sadly i didn't take screenshot because i was being chased :P

Yes its a pain but no killer perks work for cages either e.g devour hope
Makes sense.. it would be very easy to get tokens from it. About BT i notice it too, when i released a survivor from the cage with BT and it didn't work. But again it makes sense since there isn't a description from the perk to work with cages.
I know it may suck to be camped in the cage.. but come on... the killer has to literally cross the entire map to go there. By that time any survivor can release and fully heal you.
So in conclusion i think its ok that it works that way, no perks benefits for both sides. And it's not the killers fault if the survivors are playing with the crows instead of releasing someone from a cage..
-
Its the fault of the graphics in game. Without the reduced resolution and graphics shes a beauty.

Honestly IDK why the devs keep using Endurance as an option for perks, we saw with MoM how game breaking it was, and the same thing happened on the PTR with Soul Guard too an extent. Endurance is just an unhealthy effect that shouldn't be a thing.
I hope MoM and Soul Guard are reworked entirely too be more useful, because Endurance makes these perks one of two thing: utter dog ######### or completely overpowered.
Yea i agree, not every perk has to be a second chance perk, they could improve or completely change this two and many more to something interesting, to counter X perk, etc.
I remember how broken MoM was, i bought the dlc when it was released and they probably didn't want to make the same mistake. But It looks like they are running out of ideas because when you see a perk like Repressed Alliance you know there is something wrong.

@brokedownpalace said:
After roughly 50-60 matches I have made use of the perk ZERO times.
Cool concept. Waaayyy too situational. I guess it's better than Buckle Up or Flip Flop, though.
lol its true. And some people are saying its an overpowred perk... All cheryl perks are bad sadly, soul guard its the only a bit useful but for the endurance not for the recover. Repressed alliance is a joke and blood pact "why"? I hope the devs buff her perks. The survivor meta needs to be changed. More variety=more fun
-
I love it something different always comes nicely to the game, after playing for 4 years.. Some people don't like it but the map have its potencial. Either for sneaking behind a locker (there is plenty of places to hide for stealth build) or just be chased, there is a fair amount of pallets, windows and loops if you take the time to learn them. And as a killer is fun too.
-
Why to play as Lisa anyway? Cheryl is the protagonist of the game.
-
I love it, its small but i really like it. I guess not everyone have the same taste. I would love to play only that map and that the devs give it a variation too. There is plenty of places that they can add as variations in the silent hill universe.

This is the biggest problem. It's even harder to get between floors than The Game.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1357677#Comment_1357677
None of the pallets are safe though. They're all very short loops, easy to mindgame.
That not true. There is at least 2 "must break" pallet spawns. One is right next to the basement, other in a corner in the hallway and another one in one of the rooms in a broken wall. Oh and there is another one in the bathrooms.
There is a collapsed roof where you can reach second floor besides the stairs and a hole where you can jump down. Also you can jump to the yard from a broken wall in second floor. You can also jump to the inner part of the first floor though another broken wall or window.
There is also like 3 safe window jumps.
-
An atrocity... im rank 10 after not playing for a while, and all my team is rank 17 or 20... I hate free weekends...
-
More like, breaking the meta. The game needs more variety and more balanced perks as a whole.
-
Well they have full meta perks except for the last two that have WGLF and AMN. So it doesn't surprise me. DH, DS, BT are the most common used perk among survivors since years.
-
Nice SWF squad you got there.. This is what SWF squads do mostly, and yep you barely have time to kill 1 person but i don't think its entirely their fault to repair gens in the most efficient way... They don't really have another main objective and if there is someone to blame is the game not the players.
Sincerally I would love a big change to the game or another gamemode, its been 4 years of the same, and they don't dare to change the main objectives and mechanics.
-
@Theetis said:
Look, the devs didn't have to give him one of the best asses in the game, and they still did.
It's not our fault we like some good cake
That's more information than i needed 😱
-
I don't think so, there have been already changes to nerf slugging like increased recovery time, and if you hate it that much or your team don't bother at helping, you have Unbreakable (from Bill) and soul guard (from Cheryl) is coming soon. No Mither (from David) is a choice too but come with downsides. You can also make it harder to the killer with Tenacity (from Tapp), within seconds you can travel to the other side of the map and recover at the same time to be raised.
Making it even easier would literally mean telling the devs to give every survivors one free recovery from the dying state per game without perks required for example. And that's obviously not right.
-
@Shocktober said:
It's definitely going to be "I'm all ears" so you can nail people through walls with his power.
Yep i think that will be the best perk for pyramid head like it is for the nurse. And makes sense because they share the ability to ignore obstacles.
-
it was worse in the past, there wasn't any daylies and the archives to give you more BP, also the bloodweebs was more expensive and you could only pick 1 perk per lvl. Im telling you this because DBD is not a game where you can get everything in 100 hours.. Its a game that can give you hundreds and thousands of hours, and even more if you prestige.
If you want to have fun take it slow and don't try to rush because it's a very long trail to get everything.
-
It used to work but it what broken so they changed that. That perk doesn't work with any killer that have the undetectable status like myer tier 1 and piggy while crouching.
-
Hes fun... but only when the server favors you and you don't get harpoons that pierce survivors and do nothing. He needs some attention from the devs. Playable up to green ranks i would say.. in violet and red hes a 1k or 2k max killer and sweating.
-
This is why they are reworking maps, to cut down chases. Finally they are aware of the issue, so.. this is a good time to come back and play killer again. Im waiting anxiously for the updates.
-
A bit of reconnaissance is key while playing survivor, it can mark the difference between been downed or not. You are not supposed to always have a safe loop in the same spot.
-
Legion needs a complete rework starting with removing the non sense fatigue for failing a hit. Its not like hitboxes are perfect in this game.. its really far from that after the implementation of dedicated server. And lets be honest, legion power its not so powered as for giving him a nurse fatigue lmao.
