Taking a break and cursing the game for not having a proper balance usually calm me a bit π
But wow there are so many wrong things in this game.. specially while playing killer you notice it and not only weaker ones. You really get tired of people runing second chance perks everytime and lets not even talk about swf. I wish there was a bit more balance.
-
If you get a decent spawn you get to use it, if not then it gets destroyed before the 3 tokens. Its all luck so no number can be given. But overall, i think it's the most decent hex perk we have.

I'm sorry, but I'd prefer to not see my teammates self-care in the corner while the other guy gets camped.
π€£ True. Deliverance is the right perk for solo. It even helpful in the endgame when you didn't get hooked until then and no one is coming for you despite you helped and carry them... lol

Tricksters power is once again a combination of other killer powers and i'd say the devs took the worst things out of each power:
- he is a ranged killer (Huntress) so he has to be 110% because his power can down survivors from a distance
- he has to hit survivors multiple times to injure/down survivors (OG Legion) 'nuff said
- he has to fill a meter with his power (Plague), but doesn't inflict any downside when the meter is full (except of course that the next hit will injure the survivor) and it even regresses over time
You are better off playing any of the other 3 killers i mentioned than playing trickster. You want to play a ranged killer? take huntress because one hit is one health state down ( or deathslinger if you don't want the 40m radius). You want to get a lot of hits? play Legion, he has stall potential with Deep Wounds. You want to fill a meter to get an instadown on survivors? Play Plague, she will get them broken even if she hits them once with the green puke, also has that nasty black puke that injures you.
Buffing his movement speed isn't gonna help much, his power need a drastic change because it's useless compared to other killers
Yep that's the best explanation one can give about the Trickster. If they buff his mov speed it will solve only the problem of being looped easily but the power will remain mediocre. I would prefer a proper power change instead, the ones given in the recent patch obviously aren't enough.

I completely disagree. I've been saying Spirit is bullshit for months now and have even started playing as her for months and 4k'ing at Rank 1 with still gens left but everyone kept saying, Spirit is fine. Spirit is fine. No, she is not but everyone keeps saying Trickster is still terrible yet I don't have much problem with him. I play him like Huntress.
That really depends on the survivors you are facing.. i have screenshots of many 4k with the Trickter in red ranks, and that means hes fine or decent? No he is still horrible when we are talking about competent survivors. He can't cut loops fast enough, and his power is really useless in most cases.

So fix βgen speedsβ because of two killers that have map pressure problems?
Meanwhile, Iβm over here playing trapper 4king at 3-2 gens left.
Yea i think making weak killers better would be right instead of decreasing gen speed. Even if it seems like survivors enjoy holding M1 it's not fun. Nerfing the survivor meta won't hurt either, it has been the same for years and needs to go, for more variety at choosing perks and game balance.

I don't even run noed not because I am being nice but because I flat out find it to not be a good perk at the ranks I play at. It's either broken before end game, broken during end game, or they can just get out without dealing with it anyways.
You also have a perk buff coming soon, that will make it tremendously easy to deal with noed.
So true, hex perks suck, the only one that is decent sometimes is devour. I don't use any other hex perks in my builds. Only ruin sometimes in high pressure killers.

BBQ, PGTW, Starstruck, Bamboozle. Iron maiden can be somehow useful too.

because at the end of the day, he just looks like a kpop musician. An edgier one maybe, but hes just a guy. The unusual parts about him are normal for a flashy kpop costume. Hes not an accountant dressed liek this.
But ALL that aside, you can't see why someone wouldnt want an attractive, neon guy in a clashing outfit with blow dried hair, color contacts and lavender highlights as a killer?
For people that don't like persons who are different it may be out of place in the game. For me he fulfills every condition to be a killer in dbd..
I think the ones that thinks this killer don't fit here are the same people that treated rockstars in the past as satanist and effeminate for leaving their hair long and using makeup. Sinceraly this thoughts needs to go away, its time to evolve since discrimination doesn't do any good to the world.

Go to literally any killer main's stream and they will tell you new Ruin is more powerful... Idk. OhTofu and Zubat are both that have stated new Ruin is better. Old Ruin was only better for bad killers.
Not really, ruin was changed because it wasn't friendly to new players and found tedious by some survivors. That's the truth. Find a true imparcial killer or player and they will tell you the same thing i said to you.
-
He looks quite like a psychopath to me, especially with his p3 outfit. I'll definitely run from him.. I don't understand the ones that say he doesn't fit in dbd.
-
Yep its true, even with a ghostface that is devour hoping everyone they just t-bag, clicky clicky with flashlight etc. But well atleast if you are playing with a top tier killer you can give them what they deserve π
But it also have to do with the fact that this is a game not real life and if you played it for thousand of hours you wont even blink when the killer is coming. So they do all that stuff to not getting bored after playing over and over the same game.
Still there are some stealth killers that can give you a little jumpscare in some maps, and thats immersive.

Exactly. Almost no one play them and for some unknow reasons they decided to come with this nerfs. I hope it doesn't go live.

I got it on day one in the release of the chapter. That being said, it doesn't mean the trickster is ok, even after the patch he needs more buffs.

Ruin nerf? What nerf? Ruin is much more powerful now than before the rework. Ask any really good killer mains and they will tell you new Ruin is better. The only way new Ruin is bad to people are the ones who can't utilize the it properly.
They've addressed DS, Balanced Landing, Undying, Mettle of Man, buffing under-used perks, like Tinkerer, Second Wind, Any Means Necessary, etc., and a few other perk changes.
While they aren't doing a fast job at this by any means whatsoever, they've definitely been looking at perks slowly over time. Admittedly, mainly survivor ones.
Ruin much powerful than before π€£ππ nice joke.
-
Ill give away any killer you want if you exchange SWF to be gone or nerfed properly in return. We have a deal?
-
Im enjoying the new trickster changes, and i have to say that its not bad, he can now throw knives around corners and end loops. But the amount of knives is still too much.
Because of this the Trickster is very addon dependant, being "melodious murder" addon a must. And i have to say that against randoms he is now a bit more decent, but SWF just stomp him like every other low tier killer and its really disgusting and frustrating to see that you cannot do anything because SWF is broken like hell.
-
@DeadHardMan said:
To those who don't want Trickster to be 115%, why not?
The biggest issue with Trickster is looping around tight jungle gyms and running around high walls. By the time Trickster raises a knife, the Survivor can just a turn a corner and only get a couple of knives hit. It'll simply take forever for him to get one health state just by using knives in these particular areas. If he was 115, he has a better chance of running right behind the survivor then going ham.
To not make him another boring M1 killer that can forget about his power. I think most people and i include myself wants a better power that really justify the slow mov speed. Huntress and deathslinger have proper powers that justify their speed. The trickster not at all.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
He's heading for a rework in all likelihood. Same situation as OG Legion. For this power to be anything other than awful, it's going to be super unfun to go against.
What legion have to do with the trickster? lol they are completely different.. Legion is the master of M1 and can injure close survivors in no time. The trickster can't do that at all. Knives are trash and doing M1 is not the way to play him since he is slow as a snail.
-
Just to tbag the killer and sometimes give a free hit. Although now with the bug in the exit gates you can't even get the hit.

It is guaranteed to always trigger, now.
Then camping has nothing to do with it.. i can already see how disgusting this change would be if it goes live. Just imagine how much free escapes BT will give now in the endgame, like if it wasn't already giving enough as it is and paired with DS.
As a killer you better go back to the shack and go afk in the basement in EGC if the devs are giving green light to something like this lol
-

As a Nurse main, corns are my nemesis, I'm a little scared about new corns, I wait to see YT videos about the PTB
It definitely looks worse, if playing nurse i think burning a map offering will be a must after this patch.
-
I think they are confusing players now. The descriptions says that they remove the terror radius condition but they don't specify it BT have a range or if its trigger always despite the killer being near or not.
-
It really is the most op and unfair survivor perk. And that's probably the reason it hasn't being touch in ages. Its literally in every match, and i get it, it makes the other exaustation perks look terrible because as you said this perk have no drawbacks and you just have to hit E to make it work.
It funny how the devs said one time that they will take a look at all perks that are being overused and tone it down to balance the game. Meanwhile all we got by that excuse was the Ruin nerf and ages later the DS nerf.
-
Dead hard is the most op survivor perk in the game, when it works of course. Sometimes the server trick you. Anyone that says the contrary isn't being imparcial here.
That being said, it op for the dash distance it gives rather than the removal of your hitbox.

If solo have the very same info as swf that mean devs will have a better picture of all their statistics and if a killer/perk become too week they can then buff/change it.
Its not something that easy to be done. They would have to remake the entire game if they do something like that. Anyway, this game wasn't meant to be played with friend, if it was they would have added voip in the game but they never did it.
And if you guys really want a buff to solo play you don't really have to ask for free perks or anything, just a voip gives you all the advantages a SWF team have.
-
Playing solo with random people and not be able to communicate with them other that using signs its the way the game was meant to be played.
I enjoy playing alone too, is the true DBD experience. SWF really feels like cheating. And im glad that the devs don't buff solo play to a SWF level for free.. Because that would be very unhealthy for the game, the aproach they are doing with perks like new small game and kindred its the correct path to implement this things.
-
@indieeden7 said:
To Small Game. Still nothing to try and bridge the gap between SWF and solos, solos are still expected to run perks in order to gain the information that SWF get for free.
I honestly wish that the devs would just stick to their word for once.
I get your point.. but why does it really have to be a totem counter in the first place? Why survivors have to get things for free when killers don't even have the hook counts like survivors do?
And i don't think giving solo players the power of a swf is a good idea at all. Facing SWF teams is horrible as a killer as it completely breaks the game balance.
-
@CornHub said:
If you get survivors who run in straight lines every game he's viable. Main Event is still to situational & 8 knives is still too many at certain tiles. Objectively since there's still better killers to play he's still the worst killer.
Lol hes still useless then.. only rank 20 survivors run in straight lines. I hope they bring more changes for him when 4.7.0 comes live.
-
Because it have nothing to do with tunneling. If i want to tunnel you or any killer want to tunnel you he will risk getting a DS and ignore the obsession hud.
As of today the only killer that can hard tunnel people in hooks and is still ignored is the Hag.. They removed the Trapper ability to do this and for some reason they still allow the hag to do it when unless you have a flashlight its imposible to save the guy on the hook. If the hag put traps in front of hooks and also camp, it doesn't matter if you crouch or anything. Its easy kills with no efforts and the guy on the hook is doomed.
-
To the contray i think they overnerf it. You miss you have to go to a locker... and Its not very hard to dodge the first hatchet as a survivor.

I can force my sound blaster to mute all sound behind and beside me while amplifying the sound Infront of me and still can't hear footsteps, only whimpers.
It isn't playable, but was interesting to see just how much they have muted survivors.
Mmm are you sure about that? now im curious π
I would swear that i hear footsteeps while chasing survivors, and its not like i have a very expensive audio system, i just have a generic pair of headphones and a mixing audio software that came with my motherboard called Nahimic which is not bad.
-
Yep they changed the audio a lot of times and somehow breaking footsteps and dying survivors cries in the process (also breathing). So unless you have a very expensive pair of headphones and/or a good mixing audio software you will be deaf as a molerat.
-
I miss hatch grabs. "the hatch stand" its no more than an excuse now because killers are able to close the hatch.
Such a nerf to guarantee survivors a free escape. At least in the past they had to work a bit for it. Now its open the hatch and instantly go.
-
Even after smallgame buff i think survivors will still complain about noed lol
-
It is a horrible change that i hope the devs revert back.
And ill explain why:
If there is another survivor near the downed victim Victor will be guaranteed to be destroyed now with a 5 seconds stun. And if the near survivor have WGLF he will heal up the survivor before charlotte can reach it most of the times.
This happened a lot of times to me by playing the twins before this change and by being only around 15-20 meters away from the victim.. so imagine now how of often will happen with 2 more seconds lost.
Twins aren't that deadly to receive this kind of nerf. Its a killer that require skill to be used and its very easy to dodge victor, and that was already a proper downside of The twins power.
I feel like this change is being bringed for rank 15 survivor or 20. It doesn't make sense in red ranks.

someone said it doesn't matter where the killer is you will get endurance. But I highly doubt that??
That would be a really pain in the ass. Specially because SWF use BT to tank hits instead of avoid being tunneled. I really hope its a normal 32 meters range or less.
A moment of silence for killers like Pig and Myers that will have to deal with BT now. Its really a direct nerf to all undetectable killers.

I think the soul guard change is supposed to prevent this:
SWF always ruining solo play. Literally all the times i equip it i never got to use it neither for the endurance or to get up in solo play. Its literally a waste of a perk slot and now more than before.
-
@crowbarman said:
Changing the Victor coodown to 5 seconds essentially stops group slugs. The current reaction, especially lategame, is for survivors to charge the downed survivor. Previously you could knock one and leap on another's back, which bought you some more time to get the pickup.
Now, I expect the extra latch will become rare. Victor will be killed after every down, and if there are more than 1 healthy survivor nearby they will get the save unless Charlotte is really close.
Yes it guaranteed that if two survivors are near of each other victor will be killed by the one that is not downed. It don't think its a good change at all. I have played the twins and if the other survivor have WGLF he will heal up the downed survivor before you reach it with charlotte to grab it.
A really bad change imo.

@Todgeweiht said:
His ridiculous map pressure remains basically untouched. He will be fine.
Its true, people are just overreacting. The alarm clock change was one of the most needed changes as it was completely useles to run for one before.. im glad the devs heard our sugestions, i was one of the guys if not the first that came out with that idea and suggested it here.
Completely far from being garbage i think freddy now will be a bit more balanced. As was necessary.
-
SWF are the reason why we can't play a weak killer in rank 1. You are forced to play top tier killers and even so its a pain.
It funny then when you come to the forums and read threads about people getting tired of seeing the same killers over and over. Its entirely their fault and devs fault to not balance swf at all.
-
Because survivors didn't stop quitting matches when the game didn't go the way they wanted. Its sad but true.
-
A few weeks ago i read here in the forums that someone have 70 years or so but i don't know if its true, so if you call yourself ancient then this person is a mummy ππ
Jokes aside we all age at some point, so.. nothing to be ashamed of.
-
@AggressiveFTW said:
There was one person asking that in one of Mclean's stream. His answer was that the map doesn't have a lot of windows and because of that, they chose to put more pallets to sort of "compensate". That reason makes sense at least to me.
I could agree with that if those pallets weren't must break pallets. Most of those pallets are overly safe and forbid mindgames.

The difference being is there is a guarantee of no DS if there is no obsession currently, if there is an obsession always you can tunnel someone but you'll never know if you'll be hit with DS.
Then grab DS lol. In any case there being an obsession or not its not very relevant to a killer because many builds include obsession perks so most of the times there is always an obsession.. and besides that if the killer wants to tunnel you he will still grab you anyway and risk being hit by DS.

Are you denying a meta exists?
Sure people (both sides) are independent and can choose whatever they want, and in ranks 15-20 I'm sure you get some truly weird #########. Ranks 1-5 is a lot more predicable. Don't take it from me, look up the multiple people who have done the work of collecting data on each match they do, showing the patterns emerge.
Of course, if you do truly believe that you can't use past match history to determine the likelihood of what you will face in Future matches, I have to wonder how and why you are arguing for an obsession each match, after all, people who play killer are just as Independent and able to do whatever they like, past trends be damned, so without your own history on how often you have experienced tunneling with or without an obsession, what are you basing your arguments on?
Just what i think. If the killer wants to tunnel someone he will give it a try and grab you again even if there is an obsession in the match..
@Bearded_Owl If you don't want to suffer tunneling then use DS, if you don't use it then suffer the consequences. I don't get the point of making a thread about this.
-
I would like to think that they are preparing various changes for the trickster. But we really don't know anything about it.
