@Poweas Why would NOED proc after doing zero gens? Am I missing something? Asking for real
Once hatch is closed, the exit gates are powered. NOED procs when exit gates are powered.

@Incirion So the hatch is luck based now and no skill at all.
Whoever happens upon it first wins pretty much?...
Can't even deny the rng face off anymore with 2 gens requirement going.
@Bbbrian2013 If killer finds the hatch first and closes it, that powers the exit gates, so the survivor still has a chance of escaping.

@Incirion don't rescue people in the basement it is then.
@Gamzello tbh the best thing about this is you can quickly farm blood points as killer with it.
Pretty much. Basement saves were risky BEFORE the end game collapse was a thing. Now they're even more so.
-
Exactly HOW MUCH is the timer slowed down if a survivor is downed or hooked, and is it slowed the same whether they're downed or hooked?

@Incirion I don't think it would make much sense for the killer to just open the exit gates whenever. What would be the point in that? What killer would want to be able to just give the survivors a win?
@Saint_Ukraine Giving the survivors the win if I'm not enjoying the game and want to move on to the next one. So I don't have to spend 10 minutes waiting for the survivors to do the last generator.
-
@typicalpleb said:
if yall thought the dc epidemic is bad now wait till this goes live
So you think people are going to disconnect because of the end game...? Why's that? Because they have a timer to escape instead of ######### around? "Oh look all 5 gens are done, time to d/c." You're right. That's going to happen all the time.
-
Well that's boring. Guess I'll still just d/c if I'm not having fun.

@Incirion Well, they mentioned that closing the hatch starts the endgame collapse as well, so I would assume that is what happened. And the exit gates are powered after the hatch is closed, I believe.
Yea, but how was the hatch OPEN if all four survivors were still there, and alive? @Saint_Ukraine

Maybe it is derped then. It only stunned me when I was just about to open the locker. If I stood further away from the locker I never got stunned.
If they jump out at you when you're right on top of the locker, tap m1 as soon as they do, and you'll grab them instead.
-
@MegsAreEvil said:
Besides that NOED needs a real rework. Its just dumb to give killers a nobrainer for playing poor the entire game.
How does a perk that can be deactivated before it's beneficial to the killer at all, need any sort of rework? If a survivor gets downed with NOED, it's not the killer who played a poor game, it's the survivors for not cleansing totems.
-
People are complaining about getting caught down there after the end game timer has activated @Gamzello but they would be dead when the timer runs out, so it's a strategy, not a bannable offense. They won't do anything about it. Survivors will just have to stay out of the basement.
-
You cannot report a killer for body blocking you unless your only option is to D/C. If you're going to die once a timer runs out, then body blocking you is NOT against the rules. If you don't want to get body blocked in the basement, don't go to the basement. It's simple. There is nothing to do about it. It's not bannable if someone gets trapped in the basement with a reverse bear trap on their head, so this won't be either. There's an easy counter to it : don't be stupid.
-
@FreyatheKind said:
You have to use the ability right when they open the locker or it won’t work. I tested this in a Kill Your Friends match. It works, but the killer has to be just about to open the locker. One of those your timing has to be right things.
I've only seen it work if the killer is too far away from the locker to be able to grab you when you jump out.
-
I think the people actually complaining are just trolls. There's nothing wrong with the new features. It's all pretty balanced. Killer can close hatch, but that powers exit gates. So the killer isn't punished for finding the hatch first. That's fair. 3 minutes is PLENTY of time to get out if an exit gate is already opened, and if you're the last person left alive, if you cant open a gate and escape in three minutes, then you don't deserve the escape anyway since exit gates only take 20 seconds.
-
There's a certain activation range. If the killer is close enough to grab you out of the locker, they can grab you BEFORE the perk is activated. What perks and add ons was this Huntress running? Have you tested this in Kill Your Friends to know it for sure does not work specifically against Huntress?
-
Survivors don't deserve a free escape anyway. If a killer happens to be using NOED and they're good enough to kill 3 survivors before the last gen is completed, why shouldn't they be allowed to use the fourth perk that they've been missing the entire game? NOED is fine.
Edit : what @Delfador is exactly correct. What difference does it make if you're the last survivor left alive. Either open the gate and get out, or die.
-
@Poweas said:
Marth made a vid against a Huntress too. She might be bugged to be immune to head on?
Could be one of her add ons as well. Since her add ons affect lockers for her. Which is why I asked OP if they had any information about this bug, or if they just wanted to complain about something with no real proof it happened to them.
-
Had you been in the locker for the full 3 seconds? Did you jump out BEFORE she was right on top of the locker? Do you have a video of this happening, or other information about what could have caused this bug?
-
@Saint_Ukraine said:

@Incirion I don't know about that. I think @Peanits confirmed that the exit gates can only be opened, by survivors and killers alike, if the required number of generators have been powered.
@Saint_Ukraine at 36 seconds into the video, it's following a dwight, 4 people left alive, 4 generators left to be repaired, and the collapse begins.
-
@typicalpleb said:

killer can power gates at 4 gens and noed activates, no time to even find all those totems
They can, but why would they?

I'll just leave this here.

The collapse triggers if the hatch gets closed regardless if the gates are opened. This would make it nearly impossible to open the gates if the Killer closes the hatch and has full Rememeber Me tokens.
They may rework it.
So you're saying they may rework a perk, because that perk MIGHT help secure a 4k if I kill three people and then find and close the hatch first? Unlikely.

Well then i didn't get to enjoy the play... It was meant to be a fun but well 😭
You didn't enjoy it, but it wastes a ton of the killers time. Look at it that way. He's losing because he decided to look at you while you died.
-
@weirdkid5 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/427265#Comment_427265
Also you can't guarantee Remember Me will be the same. They've already said many endgame perks are getting reworked, but NOED is one that isn't changing.
Why would they rework Remember Me? It makes exit gates slower to open, that just means it'll take longer to trigger the collapse during the end game.
-
@rexydon doesn't matter if the hatch spawns or not, because the killer can close it and force the survivor to open an exit gate instead.
@Saint_Ukraine This might actually bring me back into playing killer. In the video there's a part where the collapse begins when all 4 survivors are alive, and there are 4 gens left. So I think the killer will be able to open the door at any time during the trial. Which means if the survivors are being particularly douchy, you can force them out without a d/c.
-
@ChandraZake said:
But that is not fair r8.. like killer was just standing in front of me until i was dead and i was in solo q so u know .. that needs to be stopped r8
The killer wasted two full minutes of his time watching you die, after chasing you. In this time, the other three survivors could have finished three gens, and be well on their way to finishing the last two. How is that not fair?
-

Also, Pig's reverse bear traps are going to force the survivor to stay in the trial during the endgame collapse.
The bear traps and Blood Warden are two of the things I'm most excited about with this new update. I love the idea. It's great. Killer can close the hatch, but that powers the exit gates, so that's fair, survivors still have a chance. Just less of a chance. 3 minutes is a long time, especially if the timer slows or pauses when someone gets downed or hooked.
-
@rexydon said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/427246#Comment_427246
How do you figure? The survivors still need 2 gens for the hatch to appear when there is one survivor left. Which now the killer can close the hatch.
NOED is already a strong endgame perk. Running that with this new endgame makes being hooked in the basement a death sentence for sure now. I am consurned how this works with blood warden.
@rexydon Actually they said in the video that the hatch spawns when there's one survivor left, regardless of how many generators were completed.
-
@Kiskashi Yea, if it's someone I've seen around a lot, I'll recognize their icon also. I'm giving up on killer completely. I've got a group that i SWF with most nights. 3 of us, sometimes 4. Not toxic SWFs to make the game hard for the killer. We just go in to have fun. and we all kinda suck so it balances out that we get all the extra info we shouldn't have.
-
Nurse : Reduced to one blink, with an immediate fatigue after blinking, no chance to attack afterwards. Increased movement speed to 110%. remove extra Blink add ons.
Billy : Chainsaw has a chance of malfunctioning each time you use it to down a survivor. If chainsaw malfunctions once, the chainsaw is no longer an instant down. If the chainsaw malfunctions a second time, it's unusable for the rest of the trial. If you're stunned while using your chainsaw, then it's completely broken immediately.
Spirit : Reduced movement speed in Yamaoka's Haunting. Remove the ability to grab survivors off of generators. Remove the ability to attack for the first five seconds after exiting Yamaoka's Haunting. Make the haunting sound happen inside the terror radius as well as outside of it. Remove prayer beads.
-
@Kiskashi Thanks. =D Thanks for noticing. I've pretty much not played since last update either. Just to do dailies and the occasional match to get a little bit of BP. But it's just not fun anymore. I either get a 4k and it wasn't fun because it was too easy. Or all 4 escape and it wasn't fun because the survivors were #########. I'm not going to keep playing a game that isn't fun.
-
You forgot the part where hitting them in Frenzy does absolutely nothing aside from give them a speed boost and stuns the killer @Master_Bad_Guy
-
"Small tweaks"
They've literally destroyed everything about the Legion. I don't even PLAY Legion, and I can tell you these updates have broken them.
-
@Chaotic_Riddle said:
@Incirion Both are the same add-on. So, it should work with both aspects of it.
Possibly. But to be fair I just thought that whoever wrote the update was an idiot and didn't phrase it properly.
-
Playing a specific killer is ALSO not valid counter play. Try again.
-
They probably meant the pallet breaking aspect of the add on, not the entire map TR add on. But i'm not sure.
-
@GrootDude said:
@Incirion it might be better than we think though. Only way to tell is waiting for the ptb. I ran ten matches with MoM and most matches it didn’t even trigger. I would strongly prefer MoM than old DS. But this is my opinion.
At least old DS had counter play. Juggle them to the hook. MoM has no counter play except using a one hit down. Which is NOT valid counter play.

The survivors use MoM.
So yes, I can do it with every killer >:)
Now you're just making yourself look stupid. That's still a benefit to you. That's gotten rid of their MoM stack. Try again sweetheart.
-
@GrootDude said:
@Incirion legion was that most people (even killer mains) thought he was boring to play against. Not just “whiny” survivors. @mcNuggets if this were true then we’d still have old DS and pallet vacuum.
I'd rather have old DS than MoM to be fair. And I agree Legion DID need some changes. But they've more than changed him. They have nerfed him into the ground and put him in with the rest of the trash tier killers.
-
@GrootDude said:
Both sides get nerfed and buffed. They have reason a justification for these nerfs and buffs. :) I will continue playing both sides.
Besides ten thousand survivor mains whining and crying, can you explain to me the justification behind nerfing Legion so hard into the ground after the last rework of his was almost a buff? (Last Mid-Chapter PTB if you don't recall)
-
I do that too, but you're also not hitting them doing that. So...
-
@RabidWabbitz said:
Lets also talk about the bull that is going on where they decide to put Legion above Freddy that has been promised a change since he basically came out. This is lame!
@RabidWabbitz In the dev update though they DID say that the Freddy rework was way more than they've ever done to a killer. So it's A LOT of programming issues. They've probably had teams working on each killer separately, and the Legion team just finished first, because it's easier to nerf an already bad killer into the ground. It would be hard to make Freddy worse, but by God, they're trying.

That's literally between 0.2 to 0.6 extra movement speed lmao that's literally useless
But didnt you know?! IT LASTS LONGER SO IT'S OKAY! But if you miss an attack you're #########.... Or if you find an injured survivor then it's pointless... or.. well... Sorry... >.> Maybe you're right. Maybe they've removed literally every aspect of what made Legion playable and turned him into a ######### M1 killer. Legion mains gonna have to switch to Nurse now so everyone rages even more.
-
Basically, you're saying he's the doctor but his power is less useful. "Oh but you can use it to find other survivors so your power can be useless against them too!!!"
Y'all just sound like idiots.

@Incirion I think they're changing it so that you get the initial hit with FF (after hitting everyone else), and then chase down the victim at normal speed. I'm waiting to see how the changes work out, too, though. I saw they were increasing the time in FF and I'm guessing it's to increase the possibility of getting to everyone. Depends on how much of an increase it is, though.
They're decreasing movement speed also "slower than bloodlust 3."
So increased time, but less movement speed. So he has even LESS map pressure now too.
-
@Mat_Sella According to McLean on his stream he said Legion in frenzy will be "faster than blood lust 1, but slower than blood lust 3" which is definitely still slower than sprint burst. They've basically turned it into a non-lethal ambush attack, like what pig gets, but slower.
-
I can wait for the PTB, but if what the notes say is true, he will be THE ONLY KILLER IN THE GAME, that can get a confirmed hit on a survivor that does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING aside from giving said survivor a speed boost, and stunning himself.
