    • I agree. I don't appreciate Fortnite's policy at all, where some cosmetics are ABSURDLY exclusive, and on the contrary, I really appreciate DBD for making practically everything available to everyone. BUT, at least the Deep Reef skins (which are nothing more than recolors) should be truly exclusive and never go to the shop.
  • Do you enjoy playing against a good Singularity player? —> NO
    • For me, it's one of the most oppressive killers in the game (if used well). If it were more "common" and if more people used it well (like Blight or Nurse), there would be a lot of complaints.
    • In the phone game, perks were ALWAYS visible and everyone was happy and chill. I don't understand why it shouldn't be in the main game. It's just an excuse to make "solo q" even weaker. How helpful would it be to know that one of your teammates has "unbreakable"? if the problem is "no mither", change this damn perk!🤣
    • Maybe because you spent the points "manually". If you spent the points with the new automatic function (I don't know why) bloodweb gave you many more cakes
    • New "This is not happening." Your unhook when healthy is 15% faster. When injured, your unhook is 80/90/100% faster. This effect does not stack with other perks that affect unhook speed.
    • I think we're all forgetting "rancid abattoir"... if RNG wants this map it's really brutal for survivors
    • If I had to mention just one perk for survivors, I'd say Dark Sense. It's extremely useful because it provides very useful information constantly (but it has the drawback of activating even when you're on the hook).
    • For killers, I'd say "Remember Me." When it works well, it's one of the strongest perks in the game... unfortunately, it also depends on luck.
    • I started with Trapper, like I think 50% of people who play DBD for the first time. I used (and still use) Pyramid Head after that. When I started playing (2020) it had just been released.
    • I confirm it. On Saturday I played Killer for 1 hour across 3 games, half the time waiting in lobby. Simply unacceptable. I already proposed in an old post to incentivize Survivor play, perhaps by introducing a skin unlockable EXCLUSIVELY for playing Survivor. It's clear that there aren't enough people willing to play Survivor.
    • For me, Kaneki is fun to play against. Before anyone tells me "killer main!!!!!", I don't own this killer (if anyone wants to give me a gift, I'd be happy🤣), so I'm speaking exclusively from experience surviving against him. My "problems" against him are that if you don't have resources (pallets, windows), you're simply dead. All killers benefit from a lack of resources, but in my opinion, he's the absolute king of these kinds of situations. I also don't understand this hatred against him; for me, Nurse is 100 times worse (in terms of balance). The fact that Nurse is "difficult" to use doesn't make her balanced.
  • you're wrong, because DBD is surv/killer side!!!1!!!!1 (depends on what you prefer)🤣 Once this concept is clear, welcome😄

You just going to overlook Ash? Man is missing an entire hand and wears a puppet/chainsaw prosthetic.

    • I remember Ash very well. 🤣But I would like something more "obvious", not something hidden behind a puppet or a robotic hand.
    • The scariest thing is that the current "Haddonfield" is a reworked and "balanced" map (according to the DEVS). So if they have to destroy other maps, I'd rather stay as they are now. Even the current "D&D" map is the result of a recent work, I don't understand how the devs can't understand how wrong this map is in its "structure"
    • I would like a surv with a disability instead, how cool would it be a surv with a prosthetic leg (like the Olympics runners), perhaps with a perk related to speed, simply WOW. 😍
    • It's fine for me. Many killers have a solid kit that allows them to manage the game well, perks help a lot, and the maps are (not all) fairly balanced. It's also realistic not to ALWAYS win... that is, when I play killer, I don't expect to win every game.
    • Believe me, I'd pay to be in your loop. I'm CONSTANTLY getting the D&D map (the D&D one, not the other one), Hawkins' lab, and the swamp maps. Yes, something's broken in the map rotation anymore.

If this thread question was asked here on the forums years ago everyone would say 'JuSt ApPlY pReSsUrE'

Yes, let's say it's changed from the survivor's perspective. Before, you could "play relaxed." All old players remember Meg wandering around the maps to purify dull totems... now you're either 100% effective on generators or you're simply dead.🤣

    • They've definitely changed the frequency of some maps. The number of times I've played the D&D map lately is unusual. It doesn't matter if I play killer or survivor, at least a couple of games are on this map (which I hate).
    • My experience: The fact that survivors are aware that they'll spawn together at the start of the game automatically leads them 80% of the time to want to split up as quickly as possible. Previously, when they spawned randomly, survivors tended to work on the first generator they found on the map (and therefore group up). Paradoxically, the latest update has made survivors think more carefully about which generator to work on. Basically now the survivors have started to think like competitive DBD players do (only from this point of view)
    • How dare you go to sleep/work/be with your family??? You have to play DBD🤣
    • Yes, even if you complete challenges, they do not count towards your "overall progression" to get rewards.

Erm, but if you use the Syringe, the Medkit (and its Add Ons) are gone, so your White Ward does not do anything…

    • Luckily someone who knows DBD still exists in this forum🤣
    • For me, the "fun" part of fighting Myers is not knowing if he has the tombstone. On the one hand, I hate being killed by a tombstone, but on the other, it makes every match exciting. It's one of the very few truly "playful" mechanics left in the game; it's not balanced at all, but it's a lot of fun. (I'm speaking from the survivor's perspective.)

To be honest, while I find the Killer role vastly easier to play, it's not exactly wrong to say, especially for newer players, that it can be stressful. This is doubly true when you start reaching the point where the game is placing you against opponents who are far superior to yourself - lord knows I get humbled plenty of times when I'm playing Killer and get too many 3-4Ks.

Now, I personally don't even find those matches stressful - annoying, sure, but more so because the matchmaking decided I was him, when I am, in fact, not him against Survivors that good. But, again, I'm a chill player, so it doesn't bother me.

So, I can understand the concept of "Killer Anxiety" in new players. You are by yourself, and you don't yet know the game, haven't gotten a feel for which perk build suites your playstyle best, and if the MMR hates you, it can easily put you against players you're not yet ready for. I know when I was starting out, this happened a decent amount of times. In older players, though, I imagine it'd realistically only be in response to new Survivor mechanics that, while definitely needed to help mend prevalent issues, they still need to be learned from both sides.

Take the Fog Vial - a necessary item for Survivors to help combat tunneling, but it does have other uses. Killers need to learn around that, especially if they never tunnel anyway, and are just needing to learn how to combat it for normal chases.

But you're right, the queue times are one of the worst parts of playing Killer - more so if you're placed against players better than you, meaning you probably won't get to play for too long.

But, for a balanced game, that's fair for everyone, even people you disagree with deserve to be heard. Otherwise, the game becomes one-sided. Currently, it leans Killer, but it could easily turn to lean Survivor if BHVR starts only listening to Survivors - it's a tightrope they need to walk as developers, and one they're currently failing to do. It's not Killer mains' fault, not even the toxic minority - it's on BHVR for who they choose to listen to and who they choose to ignore.

    • It's like downloading Fortnite (example) for the first time and expecting to immediately get a "victory royale." It's obvious to be outclassed (especially if you're learning, as you say in your comment)... all games PVP work like this. I really don't understand this anxious attitude. If it takes so little to make someone "anxious," perhaps the problem lies in your life in general, not just in video games. When I started DBD (2020), I exclusively played "solo q" survivors... my only hope (at least the first two months) was the killer who granted the hatch, otherwise it was just a long sequence of deaths. So according to this "beginner's anxiety" theory, I should have abandoned DBD, made videos on YT, or come here on the forum to complain🤣
    • Deadline: It seems to have come about after a really fun, beer-filled evening with friends... just awful.

    • Crow invocation (I don't remember the exact name): Since the first evening with friends was so much fun, why not get together again and create something else?🤣

But Deadline is worse than "invocation crow", because it can only be obtained with real money.

    • How do I fix the deadline? After saving a survivor from a hook, you get 1/2/3 tokens (non-stacking). The next "good" skill check will be considered "perfect" and consume a token. This is to give you the idea of someone with a lot of "jobs" to take on (working on gen, healing teammates, saving teammates on the hook) who is trying to hurry in every way... like someone with a deadline.🤣Is it the best perk in the game? No, but definitely a better version of the current "deadline"

    • crow invocation is catastrophic... let's say they should raise the aura timer to AT LEAST 6 seconds (and it would still be a horrible perk)
    • I think killers main are really starting to overdo their complaining. The "killer anxiety" video is trending on YouTube right now, as if playing killer is a nightmare or a truly unpleasant experience. In reality, killer queues are among the worst I've seen in recent years (except for 2vs8). Another day, I spent LITERALLY an hour for 3 games... half of it spent in the lobby waiting for a match. If the experience is so bad, why are there so many people who want to play killer? Maybe masochism?🤣 Same thing for "botany"... yes, this perk has improved, but not by much; in fact, I see it rarely used (nothing has changed in the frequency of encountering it), yet it seems to have become the "new" Mikaela's boon according to killers.🤣
    • Yes, you're right. Keeping up with all the changes/new features in each patch is increasingly difficult. It must be a nightmare for beginners; they have a lot of information to learn, and it's constantly changing.🤣
    • Killer queue here on the European server is a nightmare. The other day, I literally spent an hour playing three killer matches, not because the matches were long, but because I was in the lobby half the time. They need to better incentivize survivors to play (maybe a skin that can be unlocked EXCLUSIVELY by playing survivor), if it continues like this it will only get worse. Many years ago (when I started playing) it was exactly the opposite.
  • I remind you of the existence of Blight and Nurse in this game... Kaneki is a rookie in comparison🤣 For me, this pairing is much more problematic than Kaneki. You can loop a good Kaneki a bit (if you have resources), but you can hardly loop a good Blight or Nurse, no matter how many resources you have.

    • Overall, I think he's a balanced killer. He has advantages and disadvantages compared to Huntress. He's very good at zoning; if you're caught off guard and don't have adequate resources, you're dead. He's a bit boring to play against, in the sense that his mechanics aren't innovative at all (for me). I never think when I face him, "this is going to be a fun match"... the only thing I think about is boredom.🤣 I definitely have more fun against Huntress
    • When these things happen (2 dead survs and 3 gens left) ... I try to make the most "flashy" plays possible, I work on gens etc etc, I try to "force" the chase and use all the resources the map offers. It makes no sense (for me) to play stealth, now it's victory for killer, so I try to "have fun" as much as I can. You can't realistically do anything else. Escaping in pairs is impossible (unless the killer is a complete idiot)
    • surv: dark sense (reminds me of the old spine chill) - clairvoyance (the best perk to find hatch) - sole survivor (in Solo q is simply amazing) - build to last (amazing, now he's also been buffed and didn't need it at all🤣 )

    • killer: languid touch (extraordinary, used alone it kills all exhaustion perks and "iron will") - remember me (When it works well, it's one of the strongest perks in the game) - darkness revealed (free information every 30 seconds by doing one of the stupidest actions in the game... there will always be at least one aura revealed)

Thank you very much for your replies, my friends, I sincerely appreciate them!

After going through everyone's lists here it is really interesting how different the perspectives are. Skull Merchant, that I have in my highest tier @Pulsar has on his lowest, while the character I hate most is one of @ImWinston 's favorites.

But I did notice the similarities: @LegacySmikey shared hatred for Wesker, my dearest friend, truly an insufferable killer. And it also seems Bubba ranks reasonably high on literally every list so far. So does Myers, actually. Ghouls seems disliked, overall, but didn't always make it to the bottom of the lists.

    • I notice that (in general) Twins and Trickster are not very loved🤣
    • I think the people complaining about the "healing meta" are on the Asian servers. Here in Europe, I only see "we'll make it" and "resurrence" being really popular. I REALLY see in every build here in Europe "exhaustion perks," anti-tunnel perks, windows, or entire builds for "gen rush" Yes, I also see toolboxes being used much more than before.
  • TIER LIST FUN.jpg

    • Note: Nurse and Blight are very fun only when the player is "normal" and not the "GOD of killers". I'm traumatized by the "old" Skull Merchant... I still can't appreciate her even if she is not very strong.
    • I'm 100% SURE that all these people complaining about the "healing meta" are on the Asian servers. Here on the European servers, the only perks I consistently see are "we'll make it" and "resurrance," the occasional "Botany," "Mikaela boon," and Orela's new perk... STOP. It's been ages since I've seen "self-care." Here in Europe, I constantly see windows, exhaustion perks, DS, or Gen Rush builds.🤣
    • If Michonne's animation were real, it would definitely be her. A survivor smiling openly would make me very happy.😊
    • If I had ONE euro for every time the killer pretends to give me a hatch/door, I'd be pretty rich. I'm sorry, but I don't trust anyone anymore.
    • You can have all your opinions about Huntress, but she's certainly not a weak killer. She's great as a killer, I think she's fun to play and have fun against, but when I play Survivor, I feel like her axes never run out. No matter how many times she misses, she'll always have 2-3 axes in her pocket. 🤣
    • Clean break + Resilience + DH are a very strong combination of perks. I would probably lower the healing timer to 45 seconds, 1 minute is really excessive

But my issue isn't with exhaustion perks as a whole and I already list some exhaustion perks I think are well designed for the sake of comparison. Something being an exhaustion perk doesn't give it a free pass to be broken, or unhealthy. I don't think you read my post.

    • You didn't read my post either, i literally gave you the countermove for the perks that bother you (except finesse)
    • Exhaustion perks have always been considered among the strongest in the game, they are perks that allow you to extend your chase, a fundamental part of the Survivor gameplay. They are the equivalent of "Bamboozle", "alien instinct", "machine learning", etc etc etc ... these perks allow the killer to shorten his chase. DBD is like playing chess, move and countermove, this is the most fun part of the game (for me). If the exhaustion perks bother you a lot (absolutely legitimate), use "mindbreaker" , "languid touch" or "blood echo"….from the killer's point of view they don't seem to do anything, in reality they completely "kill" all the exhaustion perks🤣
    • I would remove "spine chill" and put "inner focus" (Haddie's perk), for me it helps a lot in this kind of build. I don't like "sabo" builds at all, they are rarely really effective and on the contrary they put the whole team in great difficulty when they don't work.

Def agree that is super helpful! How come you don't think they won't add anything new? Purely just asking :) thanks for the reply!

    • Because they have more "care" and dedication regarding killer gameplay (in fact you can try every killer in a private session against bots). I have never heard the Devs talk about tutorial improvements... which is very strange for me because currently the survivors' tutorial is really poor
    • I dont think they will ever do anything different to "help" survivors new to the game. I recommend you play killers (all of them, even if you dont like some of them), learn mechanics and then transfer the "knowledge of each killer" when you play survivor.
    • I'm 100% sure it won't be "strong", I've understood the developers' mentality by now and they would NEVER give a strong item to survivors. The history of the game teaches us this by now: flashlight, toolboxes (yes toolboxes were even stronger), flashbangs... everything has been nerfed over time, so they would NEVER give a great item to survivors. Medkits will ALWAYS be the best choice
    • Having so many hours of DBD, i've faced everything. the rarest killers (for me) are Hag and Twins. Hag is fun to fight, but Twins is my most hated killer in the game, so for me it's perfect to never see them🤣

So? Why not change the prestige blood into a overlay instead making bloody base outfits no one uses anyway? They want us to buy outfits and because of the blue infection there’s no excuse like it can’t work on all outfits so a toggle option would be possible. It’s something the community wants for so long.

    • no, that's not true, my "tryharder" Laurie is dressed strictly with bloody skin...always🤣
    • While it's normal for "new killers" to be monitored more than the old ones, it's actually not normal for some addons for other killers to be completely ignored (even though they're pretty strong). Finding a blight without a "bounce speed" addon is virtually impossible🤣
    • yesterday I played killer to complete the challenges of the tome/event. the waits are almost comparable to 2VS8... from 10 to 15 minutes of waiting. They must put better incentives to play survivor, the simple point multiplier does not work. Example: a skin to unlock EXCLUSIVELY with survivor challenges
1 … 6 7 8 9 10 … 14
