    • I agreed with the map offer nerf, but if the game always sends me to the same 3-4 maps (the lab is really very frequent)... I'm starting to get bored
  • This is a "serious" game that pretends to be a party game. It's serious because the amount of information you need to know to play a game and "understand" everything that's going on is HUGE. "Mario Party" is a party game... you can even have never played a Mario Party game in your life but understand EVERYTHING in 5 minutes and have fun with your friends. DBD is a serious game because 90% of the time, players want to win and not have fun (for some, ONLY winning is fun). This applies to both roles, but (in my experience) killers are a bit more interested in winning : it's easier to meet a survivor with a "meme" build than a killer (taking into account only perks and not the other game mechanics).

    • The "abandon" button is only granted to survivors when three other survivors are in DC, or when they're all slugged and objectively have no choice but to wait for the killer to put them on the hook. The "abandon" button is not granted to survivors when (for example) there are four generators to complete, one dead teammate, and the remaining ones are on the death hook... according to the game, you can still do something while you're standing, but we all know it's literally impossible for everyone to escape; two must die and the other must hope for the hatch (if the killer doesn't slug). The philosophy of the game is "as long as you can make game moves, you cannot DC and you are not entitled to the abandon button". Even in the worst matches, with the most toxic and "t-bag" survivors in all of DBD, the killer can still hope for a kill, literally nothing is stopping him from doing so. If you go to YouTube and watch any compilation of funny DBD videos... you'll see tons of videos of toxic survivors getting killed at the exit gate. The abandon button for survivors is not a "gift", it's just mercy from the Devs to not waste their time (when slugged)
    • I think she's the most reworked/nerfed/modified killer in DBD history. It was a huge mistake, and I think the devs are really unhappy with her, even just because of the amount of work she required over time. I'm also sure they had big plans for her skins (and thus sales). She's the only obviously "sexy" killer in the game (as is Trickster), and I'm sure the devs were thinking "she'll be the feng ming of killers."
    • If you want to play aggressively try Wicked + DS+ DH + Boil over.Use the offer for the basement hooks. The whole build is centered on chasing around the basement, unhooking yourself from the hook immediately, and doing the "toxic player". Boil over is REQUIRED to force the killer to use the basement hooks. If your strategy goes well... your teammates will have finished at least 3 generators. Obviously, this is a very risky strategy and you will die many times.🤣

Its just race at this point one side is rushing gens and other is tunneling and not sibgle side is more guiltay its just about who begins has advantage over the other side and other side must do the same in order to catch up and dont loose in few minutes, its like running meta perks and addons instead fun ones because you dont know who you go against if they will just chill or sweat its just chain thats in every game and DBD its not different.

    • No, sorry. Leaving aside the normal queue for a moment, survivors during the events, especially the first few days, do everything except repair generators... trust me.🤣
    • I've finished the challenges (I'm mostly referring to "use a void crystal to repair a gen") and I'll never go into the void again, it's just another waste of time. On paper it seems like a super advantageous mechanic, but in reality it's so "long" that you'd be quicker to manually repair the generators.🤣
    • I agree with everyone who downplays the "problem." But being abused by a Dracula-wolf or being carried onto a mattress and abused in a "comfortable" way... is truly disgusting. 🤣I have a question: do mattresses on the floor still exist? I remember one on Badham and one on Disturbed Ward.🤣
    • I've been playing DBD regularly for 5 years. The only time I take a break is when a new game comes out that I want to try (most recently, Silent Hill F). I'll never understand those people who complain about everything all the time but keep playing... is it masochism? It's obvious that some things are "crazy" (think of the newly released Krasue), that there are bugs (all online games have them, even the richest and most famous ones), but I always find a reason to have fun. If DBD makes me angry one day (it happens every now and then)... I close DBD and do something else, it's that simple.🤣

You are making tier list about how this update affects killers, but then you make a lot of reservations. The tier list loses all its value if you're forced to add "but" in every line after.,

It's not difficult to create a more comprehensive tier list, rather than blaming other people in lack of mental flexibility.

If Killers rely on zoning, resources, or loops, they've become significantly weaker. Anyone else who can simultaneously consume resources and doesn't have significant penalties for using abilities, or whose gameplay isn't built around pallets at all, won't feel the impact.

Executioner don't feel the impact of the update until a Survivor appears in the lobby knows the value of shift w, 50/50, and LoS against this Killer. If you are playing in lobbies on him where survivors tries to drop pallet on his face maybe indeed it’s not that impactful.

    • The interaction is fantastic, and whether you agree with my opinion or not is precisely the purpose of this post. But why not try (just for fun and without taking the discussion too seriously) creating your own tier list and sharing it? I'm curious and would also like to know what others think in general. I remind everyone that we are talking about an online game, not about wars in the world🤣

  • @tes said:

The whole line of “If you throw pallet you are dead” isn’t really valid. All of this killers are having no mobility, and genuinely suffer from predropping or combining loops. The only thing you shouldn’t throw it directly to their faces. DeathSlinger and Pyramidhead literally struggle more if pallet was safely predropped, especially first one. Everyone else in the list have to start to play differently. Maybe only Trickster isn’t affected that much. This killer just have general rule - you shouldn’t be in the range of their power, U always should play with LOS. And predroped pallets actually helping with this

Even me, an Executioner main, have felt the changes. If a survivor can combine tiles 50/50, the loop becomes a headache, because everything will either be pre-dropped and turned into a safe pull, or people will greed for the rest of their lives

They aren’t suffering that much compared to M1 weak killers, but they are definitely next in the list

But genuinely, I can’t even agree with half of tier list here… putting Demogorgon and Leatherface in one line with Blight is truly something

    • I'm also a main Pyramid Head, but honestly, I don't "suffer" pallets that much. It's clear, pallets should always be a "weapon" in the survivor's hand, so they should (more or less) put the killer in a difficult situation. As for Bubba and Demogorgon, it's clear that they don't eat pallets in the same way. As I specified, you need to read this tier list with a bit of mental flexibility. Even in the fourth category, there's a lot of difference between one killer and another, but I tried to simplify what would otherwise be a really complex discussion. Finally, it also depends on experience and personal perception (that's why I specified "my tier list"). For example, I have 5K hours in this game, but the perception might change if I had 10K or 1K.
  • @Abbzy said:

Bubba kinda suffers from them you see the power to force them doesnt mean game will be easier that with someone who can play around them, his mind games are almost impossible without addon called beast marks so he can obly eat them and is m1 in window dominated areas so now he is worse than before because he has to go through more paletts tham before.

Same for doctor he now is less powerfull because there are more paletts and his shock doesnt help that much because survivor can just drop and go next loop which is now easier than before.

Spirit can suffer but dont forget she is a-tier killer and she is probably the most 50/50 killer in the game so she can play around almost every loop if the killer has idea how her power works and can hear survivors.

Slinger again his chain hit is guarantee injure into deepwound but on many loops if you drop he becomes much weaker because his only way to get down with his power is by pulling survivor and m1 him but paletts can block this so killers like springtrap or huntress are actualy way stronger against predroping survivors than slinger.

    • Believe me, I wanted to specify this specifically for Bubba. "Eats pallets" doesn't necessarily mean he's a strong killer... but his power definitely allows him to take out pallets quickly (compared to other killers).
    • "The Game" is a strange map. It's definitely on the survivors' side, but once an area runs out of pallets, it quickly turns into a dead zone. There are no windows (except a couple), and this completely changes the way you play. So if you loop where another survivor previously looped, you're simply dead.
    • Personal experience. The game never really ends for the killer; you can always hope for a kill, even if the survivors are toxic and waiting at the gate. And if the survivors make a lot of mistakes... even more than one kill. Perhaps this is why the killer can never "abandon" the game, because he's in a position where (even if very difficult) he can always hope to gain something from a bad game. The survivor, down from slugging, literally can't do anything.
    • thank you, you are always kind😃
  • no, here on the European servers the surv queue is instant (as always)

    • The only truly strange "complaint" is the 4-month duration of the rift. Many players complained last rift that they didn't have time to complete it, and here in the forum you'll find a thread with literally HUNDREDS of people upset that they didn't have enough time. So now we have to decide... is 3 months fair or too short? Or is 4 months too long?
  • 1° place Wesker (exciting)

2° Piramyd head (exciting and disturbing at the same time)

    3° Billy (so pawerfull)

the ugliest Ghost Face and Hag … broken washing machine syndrome🤣

  • Fog vials (and related addons) are an indirect nerf to medkits (and therefore also to syringes) and Toolboxes (and therefore also to their "brand new parts")

    • In my opinion, even though the Trapper is a weak killer, he's the best character to represent DBD, outside of DBD. I think the devs think the same: in the few collaborations outside of DBD, the Trapper is always present. Someone mentioned Skull Merchant... I don't think she's the most beloved and iconic character in DBD (this is also a strictly personal opinion)
  • @xenokitty13 said:

I just want to say I think spirit is a cool killer and I don't mind her being strong and such. I am not fully for sure on how to change her as well. The issue is with her is she is a nightmare for people who are hard of hearing. As someone who is hard of hearing myself. I can't hear when she is in power and what direction she is it. So its a 99% chance I will just lose and it does not feel good. I don't like the killer uses that i cant hear well against me. So how will you guys change this to make it fair. Well ideas from the community.

    • I have the same problem with Dredge. I'm visually impaired, and playing against Dredge is a nightmare. But I don't think (and I'm not asking for) it to be modified. I think accessibility issues are only taken into account when playing Killer. In fact, (from what I understand), the fog vials were modified due to accessibility issues for Killers. It's a strange logic, anyway.
  • @Anniehere said:

Her phasing sound is now non-directional, so it's harder to tell exactly where she's coming from. The way to deal with her is to focus on positioning. I'd recommend watching videos from the Killer perspective to better understand how Spirit players think and plan their match.

Edit: I changed the video with one that shows examples of the chase.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd9-oyfo8Ow

When I play with headphones I totally understand where it's coming from. I don't think I'm the only one.🤣

    • I "love" lightborn when I play survivors because the killer plays with one less perk for the whole game, and when the survivors realize it, they can easily put pressure on the gens. But yes, it is an obsolete perk that eliminates an entire game mechanic. I repeat, leave it as it is forever because in an "indirect" way it favors the survivors (the equivalent of crow's invocation for surv).
    • Headless Claudette will be my biggest pet peeve in this game (as a collector of STRICTLY whole skins)🤣 Anyway, aside from Dredge and a bit of Yun Jin Lee, this rift is very anonymous. I don't like Vittorio and Trickster's skins (strictly personal taste).
    • I'm convinced that Blight and Nurse are so strong (and will never be nerfed) because no one will ever say that DBD is pay-to-win. Nurse is in the "base game," while for Blight, you just need to play consistently for a month and you can buy it with in-game currency. These two killers are their "defense" for any criticism they may receive regarding monetization.
    • If you have these doubts and want to improve, you're definitely not as bad as you say you are. DBD isn't the same as 2018, where you could easily chase a killer for five generators. Killers have changed, and the maps aren't the same either... survivors can't last very long in a chase. For example, doing a 30-second chase with a good Blight or Nurse is a really good result. Doing a long chase on Haddonfield (before the recent map balancing) was really difficult. You can even go up against a "weak" killer, but if you're in a dead zone, you'll still go down. The real goal of the survivor in 2025 isn't to do spectacular chases, but to make the killer waste as much time as possible and still be 100% efficient on the generators. Maybe you're not a bad looper, but you definitely haven't figured out the game 100% yet. I recommend you (for your self-esteem) to watch some "competitive" DBD games: the players do "very normal" chases (pallets predrop is almost a religion), you will almost not see long chases. Above all your standards should not be TikTok/youtube videos
    • Guys, don't trivialize "repairing generators." Obviously, the action is very easy, press M1 and go through the skill checks; maybe even an 8-year-old could do it. That said, when repairing generators, you have to use your head: which generator should I repair first? Do I heal myself or keep repairing generators? Do I stay at the generator even if the killer is nearby or do I run away? And many other things to consider. If it were really that easy to repair generators, survivors should have a very high win rate. Just look at the competitive players' point of view... survivors communicate with each other like an air traffic control tower. Why go through all this effort if all you have to do is press M1?🤣
    • Yes, everyone has noticed that pallets have increased, but few have noticed that "safe" pallets, to compensate, have become less safe. I'm of the "fewer pallets but safer" philosophy. If we then consider that more than half of the killers have a mechanic that ignores or doesn't "suffer" pallets (Dracula, Artist, Huntres, Nemesis Pyramid Head, etc., etc., etc.)... in short, pallets are no longer the same as they were in 2018🤣
    • That's fine by me. In modern DBD, where aim assist exists (Kaneki, Krasue, but Singularity also) and the Devs try to "facilitate" the killers in every way, she actually has to work really hard to get results. But she's a solid killer and, if used well, she's truly devastating and oppressive. Obviously, some small buffs would be appreciated.
    • I don't think that's an option. From what I understand, BHVR doesn't want to include any reference to religion, and in this case we're talking about a killer closely tied to the Catholic religion.
    • I agree, considering the existence of "Botany," this perk is simply absurd. I've never seen anyone use it (except Adept Vee). It's simply a small "bonus" (a single quick heal) but so complex and cumbersome to activate.

Doesnt surprise me trapper is second worst killer in the game only toped by skullmerchant who was made worst by devs intend, hag is one of rarest killers because all you do is place traps in area creating the "web" and thats all then teleport, hit, again and hook, set a trap and repeat no chase power or something with action just playing some web spider who is just remaking his webb and sits in it or near it thats why she is rare not to mention every patch she is weaker and weaker. Twins are rarest killer in the game with like 2 twins mains because the third one (pixelbrush) left to main merchant, they are best with slugging gameplay and might feel clunky to play as so thats why nobody plays them even they are very strong +a-tier killer. Artist is solid a-tier but all that discribes her can be heard in Otz artist sydrom video like weak old, she has to hit you with one crow and then hit you again or she looses all progress compare to other range killers exept uknown but unknown has more action and chase possibilities with solid mobility, she is easily countered by lockers and elevations or multiple floors, very hard killer for that reasons. Skullmerchant was nuked to be weaker than trapper so theres no reason to play her if you arent her big fan who mains her and has her nice skins.

    • I honestly think it's all about fun. Twins has always been considered a strong killer (in all tier lists, they're always in A), but they're truly a very rare killer. On the other hand, Legion and Myers are considered "weak" killers, but they're truly beloved by the community.
    • I don't want to defend the Devs, but if you do the challenges, both the daily ones and the "special" ones (like 2Vs8 challenges), progressing in the rift is quite easy. In my opinion, according to the Devs' philosophy, the ideal is to play "a few games" (like 2-3 a day) but every day. Obviously, if you play 1 day a week (maybe playing 10 games), you will still progress very little in the rift.
    • I mean, you're just a "head"... I think it's normal for a pallet to hit you really hard, you don't have your whole body to absorb the hit.🤣
  • in my region (Europe) who I face:

    • Frequently: Wesker, Blight, Huntress, Myers (even before the rework), Legion, Billy, Dracula, Kaneki
    • "Normal" Frequency: All other killers in the game
    • Rarely: Trapper, Hag, Twins, Houndmaster, Artist, Skull Merchant
    • But why reduce the maximum number of mushrooms? Don't tell me that mushrooms are "too strong" against poor Krasue, because I'm really laughing.🤣

no they dont, not even remotely.

singularity has insane amount of counterplay in chase that doesnt rely on chase - using windows, pallets, there like 4-5 different ways you can interact / outplay chainball / TPs in loops, m1 interactions, breaking LoS/using EMP to preserve distance, etc.

meanwhile krasue's counterplay is "pray for bodyblock"

    • You're 100% right, but if a teammate removes the biopod while you're in a chase with Singularity, you can breathe for a moment🤣
  • @SpringMyTrap said:

in other words, the only counterplay is elaborate teamwork, best evidence she's not okay.

    • yes, Krasue and Singularity are similar from this point of view, both need a constant teamwork : one is in chase and another surv acts as support, facing her alone effectively (also considering some perks like Dissolution) is practically impossible
    • Honestly, it almost never happens in my games (except at endgme, but that's understandable). What happens very often is that the killer immediately returns to the hook after unhooking... this happens in practically every game.
  • @Mandy said:

Can confirm that we're aware of this one - the giant tambourine is bringing back memories of giant survivors back in the day!

    • Please don't fix it right away, take your time. It's one of the few fun things about this game.😍
    • Except at a competitive level (that's another story), communications aren't necessary if the 4 survivors are really experienced, are 100% efficient with gens, and can do a decent loop (you don't have to be exceptional at looping). The problem with this game is the completely non-functional MMR. If you don't believe what i just said, watch any survivor main in streaming ... when they are in premade 80% of the time they are not on Discord but they still make amazing plays and escape quite often
    • I speak from my experience. "Nowhere to Hide" is a perk that can only work once on an experienced survivor. 80% of the time, the killer plays very explicitly and immediately makes it clear that he has this perk equipped. So if you're a survivor and you're in premade... tell your teammates right away and everyone will play accordingly.

  • @CorvidXCVIII said:

This is true because Deerstalker isn't like other aura read perks. You're not applying aura read in the same way you would with Lethal, instead you're giving the survivor aura read on you. Since it's the survivor seeing you that triggers Deerstalker, it still only lasts as long as they can read your aura.

    • Exactly. The same goes vice versa with "OoO" + "eyes of Belmont."
    • I've always "defended" the devs, but I'm also starting to think that the buffs to Krasue are EXCLUSIVELY to incentivize sales. Just look at all the TikTok/YouTube videos coming out these days. Of course, all new content is successful on social media, but in this case, it's even more so when defending or saying "op" to Krasue. All free advertising. The priority is money
    • To be honest, I've only used downvotes 2-3 times on this forum (I definitely prefer upvotes), only when I completely disagreed with something I just read... but seriously, are you so sensitive or insecure that you're upset by a downvote? Disagreements are part of the democratic system... if you let a downvote sway you, perhaps you're not so sure of what was just said/written.
    • If the fog vials had been tied to any paid content (e.g., Kaneki, Krasue), they wouldn't be in the state they are in today. But unfortunately, they were a "free" mechanic for the survivors, so they ended up in this ridiculous state. They didn't even consider the possibility of "maybe the killers just need to get used to this new mechanic." No, obviously... destroyed in a week.
  • Nurse isn't an "S" tier... Nurse plays a different game than DBD. No killer (old or new) will ever be like her. That said, Krasue is really strong and will definitely get some nerfs. In my opinion, she's even stronger than Kaneki before the nerf.

    • The "Dungeons & Dragons" map. From an aesthetic standpoint, I think it's the most beautiful in the game, but from a gameplay standpoint, it's the worst ever. With the latest update (Devs added some pallets to the upper level), it's improved, but it's still a structurally atrocious map. If a killer decides to never go into the dungeon and only guards the upper floor (where 4 generators always appear)... the game is over.
    • I agree, for me he's worse than Kaneki. I was afraid to say it, but you and your friends gave me courage.🤣
    • I've played 5K of DBD and I have a feeling there's something wrong with this killer. I didn't buy the DLC, so I haven't tried him as a killer, only as a survivor. He seems incredibly fast and difficult to understand (from a survivor's perspective). I've never had this feeling of misunderstanding with any killer. Kaneki (I didn't buy that DLC either) was (and still is) very strong, but I immediately understood his mechanics and how to deal with him... the new killer hasn't figured it out yet. But I think that's normal; I've only met the new girl about ten times. If anyone has any suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated.🤣 My main problem is that she does one action (anything) and immediately after she can do whatever else she has in mind. then, its anti-loop dash is just amazing🤣
