No, it would be too good. People who are good at looping would still use it since a free escape (especially at the end) is always strong no matter the skill level.
Back in the day DS was a guaranteed escape (not including old dead hard and old borrowed time as well). It was pointless to hook a survivor in the end. You'd hook a survivor, they'd get borrowed time, then the killer hits them but BT gives them am extra health state, you hit them again and they get downed, you pick them up but DS let's them run away, so you chase again and try to swing but dead hard gives them an extra health state essentially, so you have to hit them yet again. So best case scenario as killer you could get someone downed again after they are hooked with 4 more direct hits best case scenario.
Killer was awful in those days because any survivors around by the time the last gen was done were pretty much guaranteed escapes. I suggest watching some old videos on gameplay to see why this doesn't work.
Now if you want this to be for less experienced players I'd say that just means you need to practice. The more you play the better you get. Some good options to start learning to loop better is running windows of opportunity, dance with me, lithe, and quick & quiet.

I feel you, I am feeling the same. problem is the game doesnt have any competition.
It has been killer incentive much more for me lately, but I just dont want to do it. I am sick of being the plaything for swfs.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3401627#Comment_3401627
I agree with you, but for some reason I dont feel ( may be wrong ) killers tunnelled nearly as much in the past. Its pretty common now for me to be tunnelled at 5 gens now.
I just think that if killers didnt feel like theyd be down to 3 gens by the first down they wouldnt feel like - I NEED to get someone out of this game asap. I know I wouldnt - but thats just me ofcourse.
I always feel torn as a killer. I've been messaged saying I was tunneling someone but it's generally the case the survivor I find next is the one who got unhooked. Do I just ignore then and aimlessly look for another? Do I ignore them and check out some random gens? Or do I hit the survivor who ran into me who happens to be the unhooked survivor? Typically it's the 3rd option since I'm not in the business of giving free saves/free gens but I'd gladly go for another survivor if I encounter them too
-
I'd be into this. The charms on survivors always seemed silly to me
-
Just reading your "common" suggestions would be absolutely broken. I guess this is a good idea if you want no one to play killer anymore though
-
Man... I know some maps still favor one side over the other, but the disparity is much less drastic nowadays. Anyone else remember meat plant when it did have like (no joke) 40-50 pallets. It was awful as a killer.
I don't understand why. Akiller goes afk. You might as well play it out and get some points or you could have a surprise win. I had a game a few days ago as myers and was getting destroyed by a swf sabotaging gang on Ormond and nearly went afk. My noed kicked in and I got the 4k. Might as well try
I have had a lot of killers DC right after the last gen gets done though which is obnoxious.
-
Trapper for sure. Even comparing him with addons to several killers without addons he would still be in the discussion for weakest
Hag can still tear up a team without anything.
Myers is slower early game but he can snow ball pretty well even playing without addons.
Wrath if the killer is good enough to know effective positioning I think they could still do very well.
Trapper, even really good Trapper players, have not a whole lot going for them
-
Old DS was awful. So glad its much more reasonable nowadays.

So, yesterday I had the same scenario a few times and it's absolutely stupid. I am playing a bloodpoint build because I want to hit the 2 Millionen Mark before the new Bloodweb Update goes life.
So I bring Decisive Strike, Deliverance, Prove Thyself and Kindred
The gens where completed pretty quickly since the killer chased one survivor for the whole match. So the end game starts and the survivor get's hooked, I trade with them since the killer Camps him. Then I get unhooked and.....Decisive Strike is deactivated because it's the endgame and I get tunneled again.
I don't understand how this change is fair. So the survivors gets punished because the killer wasn't able to spread pressure or hook me before?
Decisive Strike works only 1 time, is only activated for 60 seconds and deactivats itself anyway when you do a Action. Why this stupid "It's the end game so your perk is worthless" crap?
Tell me you're a survivor main only without telling me you're a survivor main only

Nope, you forgot important killers that are far better campers:
- Trickster
- Hillbilly
- Oni (with power ready to go)
- Plague (with power ready)
- Executioner (depends)
All you need to do is touch the hooked Survivor to remove his guard or one person take the guard away (bait), etc.
and how could I or you forget Hag lol...
Eh trickster isn't bad. I'd rather trickster be around hook than most other killers tbh.
I wouldn't necessarily say Hag needs to camp. She should put her traps around the hook but she can also just run around freely
Hillbilly can be bad but they can just charge across the map so they don't need to hang around the hook. The others are very specific circumstances so I wouldn't count them personally while something like infinite tier 3 myers will just always get a down or a grab. Plus, something like oni with power is more likely to not stick around. If my goal was to camp hook I'd rather have some pretty guaranteed circumstances consistently rather than waiting for things to line up for me (like Plague having her power)
Twins can have victor camp while you run around. You get notified of someone unhooking so you can either grab with Victor to down or stop the unhook, then kill with the other twin.
Clown also has instant down with pinky addon and could easily chase down the unhooked person.
Leatherface can get a guaranteed at least one down with potentially 2 easily.
Knight is similar to twins but you can have two different means to attack at once

"One of the best campers in the game..."
...are we playing the same Knight? They are FAR better campers than him... his power isn't even that good at camping, only scaring Survivors away who are unaware.
He's definitely top 5 campers.
(In no particular order) I'd say these are the ones best equipped to camp hooks
Infinite tier 3 myers
Bubba
Clown
Twins
Knight

Does highest kill rate make a map comparably killer sided or objectively killer sided?
In other words, what if all the other maps had a kill rate of 5% hypothetically but Midwhich had a kill rate of 7%. Is Midwhich by your rational still “killer sided” because it has the highest kill rate even though it’s only 7%? Or would this actually mean it’s still survivor sided but it is simply comparably better than the other ones?
My point being that just because a map has the highest kill rate doesn’t make it objectively killer sided, just simply better than the other maps.
I'd also want to dive into what killers do better. There are several I could see doing pretty terrible on it while others would do better.
-
I wouldnt say it's reportable but it should 1. Heavily penalize their score and 2. Bump up the score of fellow survivors and the killer. I get orritated as a killer that I lose hooks because of this and my score goes down
-
Old Gideon was awful. Felt more like a pallet factory than a meat plant.
-
Buffing self care would pretty much make the CoH changes pointless (and possibly even a buff)
-
Use off the record then bodyblocking won't matter.
-
Ju on on would be great. Maybe someday.
Personally I think kayaks is a bit better
-
I think you can play killer casually but most players will just say "oh that's a bad killer playet" or "oh they aren't actually playing". Certain killers also don't really fit with casual players for different types of casual play. Nurse isn't casual due to difficulty and cannibal isn't casual mostly because most cannibal players offer no mercy (either camping a lot or never letting someone go).
You don't have to be a hardcore player in order to have fun being killer. You can be casual about it.

knight. the easiest question in the universe
Why knight? I don't love knight by any means but I don't think I hate him nearly as much as most

Man I thought twins was boring when they got released but skull merchant is worse. She needs a lot of changes imo
-
Biggest thing for me is make his bouncing knives base kit. So much more fun and makes him more interesting than a weaker huntress

Tell me you slug for cheap wins, without telling me you slug for cheap wins.
Generally i avoid this, but if in playing against swf with flashlights and sabotaging hooks, you gotta do what you gotta do
-
I do feel like the new one lacks much personality
-
The trickster game I was having g the killer chase me for a long time. I had lithe and quick and quite. They kept missing their knives and refused to reload.
Legion game the Legion kept missing their Frenzy and never fully committed to a single survivor.
-
Update,
Had this happen back to back games today playing with different survivors and different killers. No one was sabotaging hooks or using flashlights. Both dced as the last gen was completed. Lost out on a challenge and lost my item I brought both games. Good times....

Most Killers don't want to hang around for the tbags at the gate and other forms of bullying. Perhaps Survivors should be less toxic.
As a general statement yeah, but I wouldn't say that was the case in our game
-
I love it.
It's much more fun than tombstone myers, infinite tier 3 myers, or even normal myers. I use tier 1 myers mirror and I chase a ton with it and like it a lot myself. I kinda want this to be his standard build and just about all of his other addons get reworked.
-
Man I'm bummed I can't interact with people not on playstation (and most people on playstation prevent messages anyways.) I wish console could access the same chat. 95% of the time my messages to and from people is pretty good and respectful.
-
Man please don't bring back old DS. It was the most miserable thing to encounter as a killer (more than old DH). DS is fine and already used plenty.
Sole survivor could be changed though.

What time cap?

Left 4 Dead deserves more content.
Yeah im surprised they brought over an enemy as a killer tbh
-
For some reason my original post got deleted
Anyways, it just doesn't work. Dbd can't prevent you from just turning off your game before a game launched which prevents the DC penalty, killers wouldnt have enough time to both see a team is swf while making adjustments, and I could see killers either immediately DC or essentially DC (look in a corner) if they are forced into a game against swf players. On the flip side if dbd did manage to make you play a game against swf, i assume most people wouldnt bring any addons and just have the game end faster. It just doesn't work and it be negatively impact the game a lot.
-
Eh I kinda like how it is now. I do think there could be some other changes (remove stalking limits, increase tier 1 speed and lunge, rework some addons (primarily tombstone).)
-
Tier 1 myers with you being able to see through walls add on along with tier1 lunge being farther.
Perks you can largely run whatever you want since staying in tier 1 you have no terror radius. I believe I use noed, sloppy butcher, bamboozle, and the last one I switch around a bit (save the best for last or eruption are most often)
You do move very slow but you can surprise a lot of survivors and get 4ks pretty consistently. I prefer this build of infinite tier 3 or tombstone builds
-
Ah okay. That's overall what I expected to be the case. Thanks for letting me know

I was going to mention that I acknowledge that yes, you do have to factor in the 4 v 1 and so you will see more survivors DC because of this. I don’t actually know how many killers I see DC but it’s a rare occurrence for me. Weeks and weeks can go by without seeing one. Survivor DCs I see at least once per day I do play.
I find it shocking that someone is seeing the killer DC every match where all survivors are alive when gates are powered.
Yeah its typically people who seem to be learning a killer and only got 2 or less hooks total.

Survivors DC way more than killers. I think I've had 9-10 killer DCs in all my time playing and probably a survivor DC about every third game on average.
Yeah I agree survivors DC more (which is also an issue) but at least a survivor dcing doesnt actively end the game while the killer ends the game for everyone. Both should be addressed though. (Such as replace the dcing player with a bot and enforce stronger penalties for dcing).

Scorpion is already in the game. You just don't recognize him with the duster and cowboy hat.
Lol fair
-
Man lobby dodging would be obnoxious... I don't see many people actively be willing to play against swf tbh.
-
He needs a lot of work on him, but this would be a step in the right direction.
Make it base kit
Stop him from triggering own traps
Have him start with all of his traps
Also base kit that traps will reset themselves after 30 seconds
Also, fix his trap visibility. It's pretty pathetic.
Then he'd be a decent killer.
-
Man most of these killers would be disappointing tbh (this isnt on the TC either, it's just kind of the reality of where we are at).
Art would be solid though. I'd also take the babadook, the dude in sinister, conjuring red faced demon, etc
-
I looked into the board game (board games are my primary hobby) and it just looked too barebones for my liking. It looks pretty simple and it would get old fast.
Terrorscape (still on kickstarter) looks like it's more similar to the DBD videogame and I went all in on that. I highly recommend people check it out
-
Stranger things return with vecna
-
Could be better to seperate the question.
Some killers I like playing as but hate going against, while some I love playing against but hate playing as
-
It's a neat unique attribute of him. Not broken either tbh
-
Constant nerfs. He hasn't been given much to make people actually want to play him again
-
Hex ruin
It's pretty worthless nowadays. The additional layer of it turning off when a survivor dies is way too much too
-
Hag imo.
Very fast teleport and you can play some solid mind games with it too which helps a lot
-
Out of curiosity, where did you get that data?
-
She doesn't seem that great. Her phasing thing isn't that useful against good players, her passive ability never triggers, and her teleporting is nice but several killers can do it but better.

Really? I’ve been playing for almost 2 years and I can count on my fingers how many killer DCs I’ve seen. Now when it comes to survivor DCs….
Wow that's surprising tbh, although I'm not surprised with survivors dcing. That's nearly every game (not including functionally dcing with intentionally dying on hook immediately)
