Meg because she was caring for her mother and possibly the only one that looked after her and while she has to go through all these horrors she has to worry for her still
Wasn’t Adam taken by the Entity shortly before he died?
Yes! Claudette is the most lovely and sweetest survivor. I always try to let them go if they’re not the UltraTerror Claudette of Nightmares who knows how to juice pallets and loop like no other and t-bags at every pallet stun.

One of the reasons, other than making people soil their panties, I play Scratched Mirror Myers is I love how no one can hide from me (not hard to make distortion lose tokens).
When not playing Daddy Myers, if the Killer I play doesn’t have some kind of aura reading, I always equip Whispers. It’s just too convenient to me. While it may take some time, it’s not to hard to use it and pinpoint where the hiding turds are. I’ve had too many people hiding from me when I first started playing as killer and the perk is now a staple.
Also, you should always check the basement lockers if they start hiding. Many of them love going down there.
-
Boon: Exponential will be a great counter to slugging builds. They can’t get value if you can crawl away and get yourself up. Tenacity will also become more useful if the new meta will have more slugging.
I personally have no problem with slugging play styles. What I do have a problem with is having everyone slugged and the killer just letting everyone bleed out. I just wish the devs would reduce the bleed out time by 50% when everyone is down and have no way to get up.

Wow, nice suggestion! However time should also be a component. Maybe look at the 50 most recent matches and max 1 month in the past or something like that.
Going through a rough time can result in bad gameplay but shouldn't be punished forever
They can implement a decaying feature to where if they stop DCing/suiciding they’d be back into the general pool of matchmaking. But if they don’t, it shouldn’t let them back to ruin everyone else’s matches.
-
I do, and I still sometimes get confused when I see your username and see Steve.

Because Claudette is the best and they don’t have a cute Bush avatar.

the game is survivor sided it’s been that way since day 1! Look at the old gameplay ffs. why don’t killers have basekit pain res and pop? Survivors can get basekit bt, unbreakable? Stop the fake narrative.
you’re trying too hard.
-
Start bringing in Franklins Demise or Lightborn. Nothing in this game pisses off Survivors who rely on their items more than these two perks.
-
@Royval said:
game is survivor sided not surprised
Incorrect. Game is whoever knows how to play well, brings in the strongest perks, items and add-ons for their role and sweats their butt off the most sided. It does change for Killers depending on the character they pick, but they can always master Nurse, HillyBilly, Blight, Spirit and Cenobite (I think people sleep on him a lot).
-
I actually had a great time when I first started playing. I’m not much of a horror fan and yet, somehow, some streamers video made its way into my YouTube feed and after watching a few I purchased the game. He made it look like a hide and seek cat and mouse game. I remember how terrified I was playing, my heart rate going through the roof and the adrenaline coursing through my veins every time I played for that first week. I even remember one instance of thinking Trapper couldn’t see me hiding in a bush on old Lery’s only to come back and make me nearly soil my pants.
I would have appreciated a good tutorial on the ins and outs of looping, better descriptions of perks and how they apply to actual gameplay and better explanations on Killer powers and how to counter them, but when thinking back on it, if I’d known everything from the beginning, I don’t think I’d have the same, addicting feeling I got when I first started.
-
it’s simple. The game should track how many DCs and how many early hook suicides someone attempts. Once it hits a high threshold, matchmaking should start grouping them and matching them against like minded players.
-
I doubt the devs would be too drastic with the collaborations they pursue unless the game is at its EOL and they get desperate.
I do wish we get a Scooby Doo cosmetic chapter and a Scary Movie Chapter with Brenda and Cindy as Survivors along with the Alien Michael Jackson imitator as killer since we already have Ghostie.

Game is dead anyway in a 3vs1, annoying you into leaving it literally the best outcome for me. If you bring the killer to me, gets me out of the game quicker without me having to give up myself, so that gamble is more than worth it.
There is also the numerous times I've pulled someone off hook who is trying to SoH and they actually start playing again.
So my point is there is literally no incentive to me to let someone who doesn't want to play die on hook. It is almost always better to yank them back into the game game.
Either: -
- They start playing again.
- They leave and give me a bot.
- They throw the game and it ends fast rather than a slow futile death by attrition.
- The killer spots them trying to suicide on hook, and bleeds team out, which, if nothing else is cathartic.
So tell me, what's my incentive to let them leave? Every outcome is better for me.
you said it better than I could.
I do love watching the killer bleed out the entitled baby.

Play a strong killer like Nurse, HillyBilly, Pinhead and Blight. Find the weak link and eliminate them.
They won’t hold back, neither should you. Don’t feel bad if you have to tunnel, slug and camp.

It is ridiculous that a Castlevania chapter is not going to include the castle. Good thing I learned long ago to not get my hopes up.

As much as I disagree with the post, the graphics in DBD are getting more and more dated.

I think the new survivor is Homer Simpson or Peter Griffin. Both of them are truly survivors.
Nah, it’s going to be Bugs Bunny. He’s survived many life threatening situations and will bring in a bigger crowd to Dbd
-
Nurse, Blight, HillyBilly and maybe Twins.
They won’t give you easy wins though, you’ll need to master their powers and abilities and you will need to learn how to end loops fast and not fall for survivors strategies.
No killer will let you destroy a very good swf but the ones mentioned will give you a good chance.
An alternative would be to just camp with Bubba. Even if you don’t get 4ks, you’re sure to annoy them. Bring Franklins too, many hate losing their item
-
Delete your post right now! I don’t want it to get more popular! I hate seeing other Survivors chomping on my bones! It’s so annoying trying to prep a heal and all the bones are gone.
-
Because this is Dbd and not Friday the 13th. The whole game loop is running from the killer and trying to outlast them and escaping, not chase the killer, beat them up and win. Making it so Survivors can fight back will kill the game.
-
Serves them right for all the pallet stun scares they’ve given me over the years! I have to be cautious going through pallets even when not in chase!
-
Their current balance between Licensed and Original content is fine. Licensed content is more important for the games health though, it brings in new and old players.
I love the direction they’re taking with the Bard and Nick Cage. We need more chill characters with fun perks like the guitar 🎸 and plot twist. I hope they give us a Scary Movie Chapter and give me Brenda Meeks and Cindy Campbell.
-
If it’s common in your matches, don’t feel bad to just start slugging them. It works great if you are good at getting quick downs. You’d probably have to play a higher tier killer to do it well.
It sucks to have to bring in a perk for it but Lightborn is an option.
-
I’m biased but I think Scratched Mirror Myers if you’re willing to farm indoor map offerings. This is only if you want to have fun scaring people and don’t think it’s important to get a 4k every match.
-
Survivors don’t need any nerfs (except for the upcoming sabo change). They can’t nerf SWF because it’ll hurt SoloQ too much. They just need to make it so the matchmaking pairs up a 3/4 man swf against a high skilled high MMR killer.
-
he’ll probably have a weaker version of Nurses teleport, fireball version of huntresses hatchets, and Freddy’s blood pools.
He better bite me and take me into his coffin for some alone time for his mori.
-
I expect a lot of killers playing with knockout and maybe switching to stronger killers like Nurse, Tombstone Myers and Pyramid Head in order to avoid having to hook at all.
-
I feel that Survivors shouldn’t be able to heal while in chase at all, unless they use the one time use Syringe. In return, Self Care gets buffed because it is painfully slow for the user and frustrating to watch while one hangs on the hook. The devs can come up with a different slowdown or even buff killers faster movement speed when not in chase or something.
-
3-gens were only in 10% of matches? I thought it was a lot more with all the complaining it had.
-
None. All Killers are magnificent in their own way.
-
time to buy some new headphones and play Spirit

We can say those are not really risks the risk is like 1% killer actually lose because of them. Bleedout or sacrifice is still kill. If they pick up now you actually can get both. Unbreakable most likely buys little bit time then you can continue and even they use it when you sacrifice the other you likely can still get them. Rarely anyone use that perk.
What is anactual risk in 2vs1 is if they pick up, heal and manage to hide and they just stay hidden until you find them that can waste incredible amount of time. But other that that these are only risks to consider when it's endgame.
A bleed out is not the same as a sacrifice if the killer is trying to pip or complete a challenge.
And as you said, there’s a risk of the Survivors picking themselves up and hiding and wasting even more time. There’s also the risk that the Survivors finish the gens if there’s only one or two left. Small risks are still risks.
Anyways, as I mentioned before, my point is that Killer Players shouldn’t be vilified or disparaged for playing the game using means the devs allowed. If people have problems with a mechanic or gameplay, they’re free to bring it up to the devs constructively and not attack the player.

Only thing I'm concerned about is that frog is a derogatory slur towards French people; people who are terminally online will try to cancel it like they did with the Unknown(thank goodness they failed)

They should have a thread where contestants post their submissions for us to see like they did in the ye olden days. They should also select 4 cosmetics, one male and one female for each role. They should also do an honorary selection and give us this made by CerreD on Reddit:

Hatch is a win for the Survivor that escaped. Just because you don’t agree doesn’t make my ideas bad or your takes right.

“And no, hatch should not open to give the last standing Survivor an easy escape. Their team failed at completing their objectives and wasting the killers time which the game provides ample opportunity to do, they don’t need more hand holding to win.”
Hatch isn’t a win.
Then there would be no problem with removing it. From now on once the killer downs the second to last Survivor, the game should just end with the final Survivor getting moried.

My main point is that you try to victimize the person who is just trying to survive, but not the person who is prolonging the game. And even if the Killer would hook the third Survivor, they can still get their 4K. But you expect the hiding Survivor to give up willingly. That is if I would say that a Killer has to carry the last Survivor to the Hatch. Which you would point out as wrong behavior right away, yet you want the Survivor to stop trying to survive.
My point was that you and everyone else who complains about slugging for the 4k are just trying to criminalize the Killer for fulfilling their objective. Just because you think 3k is enough doesn’t mean the Killer player has to and is mean, sweaty or a bully if they choose to slug for an attempt at the 4k.
While yes, the Killer is prolonging the game by slugging, the hiding Survivor is also prolonging the game by hiding. Sure, the Killer player has more agency due to their role, but it doesn’t change the fact that if waiting for the slug to die out is so miserable, they could come out and have the match end.And no, I don’t think that Survivors should stop trying to survive. They should do whatever they can to win within the confines of the games mechanics and rules set by the Devs. They shouldn’t be disparaged for it just like I don’t think Killer players should be disparaged for playing for a 4k.
People are free to complain about game mechanics and ask the Devs to improve it, such as a faster bleed out timer in this scenario or even a concede option, but they have no right to try and shame Killers for playing the game how they want to as long as they follow the rules. -
These kinds of perks are what Dbd sorely needs. It’s what made Nick Cage so popular. I hope they follow this trend with perks in the future.

The Killer will not lose if they get a 3K. You make it sound that a win is only a 4K.
And still you were saying that the Killer, who is the reason why time is wasted, is not at fault, because a Killer kills, but if a Survivor wants to survive, they are at fault.
The killer is only at fault as much as the hiding Survivor is. If it’s acceptable for the Survivor to hide and try to survive then it’s acceptable for the Killer to slug for the 4K.
Doesn’t matter if you consider a 3K is a win, it there is a chance for a player to get a 4K then they’re entitled to that chance, regardless of the emotions going through the slugged persons head. If you don’t think they’re entitled to that chance then you shouldn’t think the last standing Survivor is entitled to a chance to escape through the hatch, saying otherwise is a double standard.

Well, if its okay to slug for the 4k, its okay to hide to deny. Literally tit for tat.
Are both boring? Yes.
Are both sweaty? Yes.
Are both gonna happen regardless? Hell yes.I never said otherwise. If Killers hate trying to find the last Survivor then they can run Whispers, Iron Maiden or pick anti-stealth Killers to play as. Just like I don’t think Killers shouldn’t be disparaged or shamed for trying to win, I don’t think Survivors should have the same happen to them for trying to survive. I have issue with people attacking the player rather than having constructive discourse about their grievances while not holding themselves to the same standards as they hold their opponents.

a 3 person escape is NOT a win for the 4th survivor. It's just "not a win" for the killer. Stop looking at it from an entitled player perspective. Playing well does not entitle you to the 4th kill. You are bypassing a core mechanic by not allowing the 4th survivor to race you for the hatch.
It's the same argument killers made when 4 survivors would hatch escape with key after doing all of the gens. Survivors were bypassing the door mechanic.
Slugging for the 4K is a dev oversight and it should fix. Once there is only one survivor STANDING, hatch should open. That's an easy fix.
Slugging for the 4k is not an oversight. Slugging has been sanctioned by the Devs for a long time. It’s an actual core mechanic of the game that buys the killer time to apply pressure on the Survivors. If it was an oversight, there would be no perks of killer powers (Like Twins) that promote it.
I’m not looking at it with an entitled player perspective. I did use poor wording though, I’ll admit that. I’ll correct myself once again -“Killers are entitled to a chance at a 4K”.
And no, hatch should not open to give the last standing Survivor an easy escape. Their team failed at completing their objectives and wasting the killers time which the game provides ample opportunity to do, they don’t need more hand holding to win.
Just because you don’t like a mechanic doesn’t make it a “Dev oversight”.

I don't mean to offend you as I really do appreciate all the answers in this thread but reading that first sentence unironically is absolutely wild. What does it matter at that point? Its still a kill. But yeah I guess if the killer is the type to think that way then it's not surprising that they would slug for the 4K.
But my original point was your comparison of Killers slugging for 4K = Survivors going for save in endgame isn't equal because the risks involved in one far outweighs the other. In BHVR's most recent statistics report, they showed that most hook saves in endgame don't result in a clean save, with either 1 survivor being traded or more survivors dying in the process. Whereas you yourself seem to admit that it's rare to see 2 survivors (Where one was slugged) into a victory.
It’s not wild. It’s not a kill, it’s a bleed out and the killer loses out on points. It’s just pure entitlement to expect the Killer to play as you want them and have them make things easier on their opponent.
And my comparison is equal. Killer takes a risk with slugging and Survivors take a risk with hook swaps and rescuing. Either way, they risk not getting their 4k/4escape. If the Survivor crawls away and bleeds out while the killer can’t find their teammate, the killer loses the opportunity for having a third hook and by extension a 4k because now the hatch is open and the last Survivor can escape. Also, the roles are inherently different. The Killer is the power role, they’re supposed to have more of an advantage when there are less Survivors left while Survivor advantages are increased when more of them remain.
Actually, it can be argued that Survivors have the advantage when gates are powered and at full health since they can body block for each other and use exhaustion perks for easy get away. Only time they don’t is if it’s someone like Bubba.
In the end, there is nothing inherently wrong or toxic with Killers slugging for the 4K. They’re just playing the game using means that BHVR has sanctioned. No one should be trying to shame or disparage them for it just like no one should do to Survivors when they do things Killers may not like.
If you or anyone else have an issue with a mechanic that someone may use, you should take it up with the Devs with a constructive discussion. -
A power that occupies a survivor but doesn’t down them. Think of The Knights ability to summon a guard and chase the Survivor, only they don’t injure them but instead, keeps them occupied and prevents them from doing objectives for a set amount of time. The killer won’t be able to hurt them when their power is affecting them and has to go after someone else.
A killer with a map wide frost effect that covers the ground in slippery ice and makes everyone slip and slide and lose control if the run too fast. They would also have traps like Trapper/Hag that freezes Survivors without injuring them. Teammates can help them escape faster but they’ll be effected with a 20 second chill effect that makes running, cleansing and repairing slower.
A killer that can pallet stun survivors so I can finally hide near a pallet and scare the crap out of them as revenge for all the times they gave me a pallet stun scare.
