  • I don’t know about what you described but I would like some more emotes. I'd like a thumbs up/down emote, a “don’t” emote where they cross their arms and a new Killer T-bag emote so they can stop doing the ridiculous walking back and forth “humping” emote that seems to have spread among them.

What risk is there of any of these? Either the hatch spawns or you just down them again.

The Killer loses a hook if the Survivor bleeds out. Also, if the Survivors are good loopers and there’s only one or two gens left, they can still complete them and escape. It doesn’t happen often because most Survivors are bad at looping and because they’d rather just wait for their teammate to die rather than try.

The survivors risk dying and potentially snowballing the 3K iinto a 1K, 2K or 0K, wheras theres no risk in slugging for hatch for killer.

The Killer played well, was winning and as a result has the upper hand so their risk is minimized. There’s still the risk of the slug bleeding out, getting picked up or using a perk like Unbreakable.

My opinion is always that people cannot expect to 4K every match but cannot expect that everyone gets out every match either. So yeah, I would not try to save someone in Endgame, I would rather take 3 people out.

But, you are saying that the Killer is entitled to their 4K, which they are just not. It is just dumb logic to say that the Killer who is refusing to hook someone despite having won the game is not at fault but the person who wants to survive.

(btw… Survivors want to survive… But I guess that this is not "The description is in their title".)

Sorry, I need to be more specific. I don’t think Killers are entitled to 4ks, I think that they’re entitled for the chance to 4K. As long as they use the means that the Devs have provided to them, I don’t think they should be disparaged for trying for it. I don’t think it’s any different from Survivors using whatever means the game provides to prevent the killer from killing them or their teammates.
Sure, it’s not fun getting slugged, but that’s not a reason to get mad at the Killer, who is playing within the rules. Complaints should be directed at the Devs so they can perhaps shorten the bleed out timer or come up with a new solution.

I have no problem with Survivors trying to survive. I have no problem with them hiding as the last Survivor while someone else is slugged. I have a problem when someone rages at me or talks down to me because I played in a way they didn’t like when it’s sanctioned by the Devs.

Dont be mad at the Killer who tries to 4K, be mad at the Survivor who tries to survive.

Let the Killer have a chance for a 4K, they are entitled for this.

    What a logic.

It is logical since the killer performed well and has a right to try for a 4k. The description is in their title.

Let me ask you this, if the gates are powered, someone is on hook and the rest of the team is at full health, are Survivors wrong for going in to rescue the hooked person? Why can’t they just leave? A 3-escape is still a win for them. There’s no need to waste more time, they can just go next. Or is it okay for the Survivors to get a 4 escape while Killers need to be nice and considerate so Survivors have a good time?

  • I think it’s fine.
Killer performed well and is entitled at a chance for a 4k. If people want to be mad at someone, be mad at the last Survivor who is dragging the game out by hiding- or is it okay for a Survivor to drag the game out in order to secure a personal win when their team failed?

  • I don’t care as long as it’s Dracula with the lower to summons giant burning meteors.

  • I think he looks great. Maybe put in a little more work to make the metal parts of his attire look a bit more metallic and less plastic-y , but that’s about it.

I am disappointed he doesnt summon a Beholder to chase a survivor

One of my favorite pastimes is to load up the good old 'Peek-A-Boo Mikey' build and take it to Lery's, The Game, or Midwich Elementary. I've had Surviviors message me post-match to tell me that I had them hyperventilating and screaming the whole time. :)

    it’s so much fun 🥰

I was actually getting tired of the game and I decided to use some left over Auric Cells to try Mikey about and it reinvigorated my love for DBD.

  • if Survivors get a fireball before Nemo gets a rocket launcher and before I get a bush cosmetic I will be very upset.

  • I dunno, the Survivors made it this far and even prepped the door. I don’t think they should be punished for it. Maybe a 5 second regression at the most? Don’t think it’s needed though.

If anything, I feel like if the Survuvor stands in the exit gate for more than 15 seconds, getting hit by a killers M1 or M2 should cause a mini-blood warden (like how Mr Baldy and Victor do).

  • I’m old, have mental health issues that affect concentration and coordination and just no longer have it in me to sweat. With that said, the most fun I have playing killer is when I play as Scratched Mirror Myers.

No other killer is like him. You’re not going in to win the game, you’re going in to give people heart attacks. While good players know how to deal with him, most Survivors are bad and easily fall victim to the terror and sexiness that is Myers.

Just go on YouTube and watch some “Jumpscare Myers” videos and you’ll see how delicious the screams are. It will take some minor education and you need to understand that you won’t win a chase against a good looper (the addon hinders your movement speed and lunge). But in the end, I promise, you’ll have fun.

And if you ever need to let off some steam, you can always equip tombstone.

  • Probably wouldn’t work because SWF but all the Survivors load in as the killer that the Killer player selected. The Killer player has no terror radius. Survivors can attack each other but rather than damage, they get a short speed boost that forces them to run in a straight line kinda like how that one event item that killers get. You still have to do gens.

Anyways, @ the OP, I’d change nothing to the upcoming changes. What I would do is buff Undying to transfer a different hex one more time and if the Undying totem is the first cleansed totem, it gets a free transfer as well. Let killers have a little more variety rather than the usual slowdown stuff.

  • Killers have been getting flamed since I started playing (Stranger Things Chapter). It’s nothing new and it’s a major double standard that Survivor mains have. Survivors can play with the most miserable playstyles killers are told they’re just bad and need to get good. Killers return the favor and “Dbd is dying!” And a demand for the devs to nerf them and anyone who says otherwise is a toxic killer main.

Best to ignore it and move on with your day.

We know that it's DnD themed, that's it.

Do you know how much cool ######### exists within DnD??

Drizzt Do'Urden and Guenhwyvar are a part of it and that’s all the cool ######### I need.

  • They should have gone for SpringTrap. Would have been much better.🏃💨

  • They gotta please the average player, that’s most important.

Don’t worry, if killers start quitting again, queue times take 10+ minutes and their goal of 60%kill rate goes down, they’ll buff killers on the next anniversary! You’ll just have to wait a year.

I want the anti dbd system

You already have that. It’s called uninstall and having willpower.

  • 60 million players? SMH, game is dying!

  • No, it’s fine. Don’t need to weaken a one time situational perk. If it’s that common then run iron grasp and haul them out of the basement to a regular hook.

  • Wraith is good because you’re constantly chasing and he’s simple to understand. I recommend him the most.

Trapper used to be a solid choice but even with the minor improvements he’s disheartening to play with when you’re against competent players.

Skill Merchant will make things easier for her since someone will almost always dc/suicide against her, making the rest of the match easy for a new killer.

I know it sucks having to go out of a game to learn about it, but I recommend all new killers to watch “how to play Dbd killer” videos on YouTube so they can get a better understanding of the role.

  • None. As others have said, just because something was buffed on one side doesn’t mean the other needs compensation. It was buffed for a reason.

Anyways, in regards to buffing something for the killer side, I want Undying buffed. Doesn’t have to be Original Release version, but at least one more transfer added would be nice. I’d like killers to diversify their builds a little and bring back hexes.

  • Yes, BHVR loves killers and are all killer mains. They hate those rascally survivors with a passion. The Twins win rate could not possibly be due to the fact that they have been so rare for survivors to face that most survivors don’t know how to play against them! No, that’s not it at all. It’s also definitely not because lots of survivors expect to be able to play the same way against all killers and not have to adapt to different powers and abilities!

  • I just give myself up. My MMR drops a little and I get less sweaty opponents. I also don’t waste time and can go next.

Sometimes, the killers nice and decides to let me live and go look for the hiding person.

  • Self Care, Urban evasion, Distortion and Pebble.

In all honestly, as long as they don’t equip that basement killer perk that leaves them broken and wastes time, I don’t really care what people run as long as they try to play competently and not just hide behind a rock and let people die.

  • Camping and Tunneling are fine. Killer gives up generator pressure to eliminate one player and even then it’s not guaranteed. Only thing that needs to be done is make it so Bubbi Boi can’t down someone after going through their Borrowed Time.

Undying and Circle of Healing nerfs (along with Self Care Nerf) should be reverted. It’s so boring to wait on teammates to heal and not everyone can equip Inner Strength and get value. As for Undying, it’ll broaden the killer meta a little and I also like to munch on sparkly bones.

I like playing against Nurse and Tombstone Myers. Nurse is in a good spot and is like the final Boss of a video game that you need to gain skill and experience to beat. Tombstone is actually one of the few ways that makes the game thrilling and gives me a hint of the feeling of fear I had when I first started playing.

*Disclamer: I’m not looking to argue, these are just my opinions.

  • Turn up your volume and listen for his heavy breathing and let go of the gen when you hear it so you don’t get yoinked off. Always try to position yourself to where he can’t sneak up on you.

As someone else mentioned, Boon: Shadowstep hard counters him (it’s nice against general killers too since so many use aura reading perks). Distortion helps too, but it’s limited due to his lack of terror radius. SpineChill used to help a lot against him but they massacred my girl 😭😭😭😭

If you can stay aware and never let him surprise you (not easy, but doable), he’s easily loop-able since the add-on makes him painfully slow with a very very short lunge.

Your assessment is perfectly fine if you ignore everything about how businesses are run, how basic cost vs benefit works, and how your original comment disregarded everything the original poster had said, even including the title.

You paid for the product. Anything added after isn't free, it's included in the original price retroactively. I'm also not going to engage in a back and forth tennis match over this in the replies. You can think about it your way, this is the way some other people think about it.

Doesn’t matter how others think about it when I’m correct. 👍

They're not completely wrong in their title. If bhvr isn't going to receive a return on investment, they will not fix something not worth fixing. So in both regards your assessment on the situation is incorrect.

You paid for the original product. If they want to tack on something after the original purchase that's fine, but you still had to pay for the original product to get it, hence why I said they're only increasing end value of the purchase. The devs aren't going to hand over free content to players that haven't even purchased the game yet. And let's not forget the legendary quote "if it's free, then you're the product."

My assessment is perfectly fine. Get something without paying for it = free. Increasing Value of the product long after the purchase is still giving the consumer something for free.

  • @Valuetown said:

You really shouldn't say "I didn't read the post" and then tell someone "you're wrong" about said post because that's just irresponsible for the sake of having a good discussion.

Also "provide for free after purchasing the base game." Then it's not for free. "Free" updates for this game aren't free, they're simply providing more value to something a player already paid for. You can thank every DLC release, the whales that buy 20 cosmetic skins a month, and the people that purchase rift levels for the "free" content.

That's also ignoring the fact that most "free" content in games nowadays are supposed to be a gateway into actually purchasing more product. The "free" stuff gets you hooked, then you feel more inclined to buy.

I clarified that I was responding to the title and not their post afterwards. In regard to the claim they made in their title, they are wrong.

If you bought something and the company later gives you something that wasn’t originally included, then you received the new stuff for free. Doesn’t matter if it works as a carrot on a stick, you still got something that you didn’t pay for.

That wasn't what I tried to say. Just that it would be hilarious to have that happen.

I know, I just elaborated in case the devs actually consider it.

  • I didn’t consider this, would be hilarious but over kill. Maybe add a stipulation that it wouldn’t teleport to the basement?

  • Hex: Uh Oh.

Cleansing a lit totem teleports you directly in front of the killer.

  • Everyone else gave you good advice, I’d like to add on that you should unlock Distortion to hide your Aura from her. It’ll prevent her from sniping you from out of nowhere.

  • Too lazy to read the OP so I’m just responding to the title.

BHVR is a business and as a business, they are entitled to make money off of their product. They have to pay their employees, bills (rent, maintenance, utilities, advertising, servers) and must make money to please shareholders(sucks, but that’s the economy of today’s world). There is nothing wrong with a company trying to make money as long as they don’t use unsavory tactics.

Anyways, there’s plenty of things in this game that they have done or provide for free after you purchase the base game. You don’t pay a monthly subscription and yet still have access to their servers. You can earn lots of free cosmetics (even if it takes a while and a lot are underwhelming, they’re still free), you can unlock plenty of characters even though you only need Claudette, they listen to feed back and rework killers all the time (most recently Twins, Skully Mommy, Sada-no, HillyBilly), they introduced mechanics to make the game less frustrating (base-kit BT, Removal of Hook Grabs, Anti-FACE Camp mechanic, Anti-3-gen mechanic, a nice HUD that greatly helps solo-Q -yes it helps a lot even with all the naysayers) and they still communicate with the community albeit less than they used to(don’t blame them, this community is insufferable).

    So, you’re simply wrong.

  • Yes! He should be able to fertilize bushes as well, especially mine! 👁️👄👁️

  • Buff it back to 200% and let it burn out (not break) when someone dies.

  • After seeing what they did to Sada-no and their proposed changes for Twins that they, thankfully, walked back on, I’d rather they leave him alone.

  • First universal perk for both roles!

    BUSH:

Allows the user to transform into a bush that fits the map. Equipping this perk guarantees the map will be outdoors.

  • The best solution is to stop playing Vommy Mommy and switch to Skully Mommy out of spite.

  • Claudette* It’s the bestest name ever please learn how to spell it properly!!!!! 👹👹👹👹

  • All I remember was me hiding in bushes on the swamp or one of the rare bushes on Lery’s and having adrenaline coursing through my veins keeping me up later than I should have been.

  • I don’t know about the intricacies of cross platform but it may not be in BHVRS hands. It could be that the other platforms are limiting it.

For Trapper, try using Fastening Tools and Coffee Grounds. You dont even need to place the trap at a pallet/window mid chase, just position yourself to zone a Survivor and commit to the trap placement. If they try to run to the next loop you can quickly cut them off thanks to coffee grounds, and now you have a trap there to potentially catch some one else who tries to use that loop.

If they try to stay at the loop well the same thing happens, they now have to go around the trap and youre moving at mach speed which makes it so the majority of the time youre able to get the hit.

thank you for the advice 😘💜💜💜

  • Trapper has to have at least one Iridescent add-on for me to play him. He’s too weak when there’s no drawback to Survivors disarming his traps.

Myers has to have the Scratched Mirror add-on for me to have a good time. No other Killer+Add-on gives me as much fun. Tombstone is for when I am stupid and play during prime time and get sweaty teams back to back.

  • Forever Freddy can stay dead, sorry @GeneralV .

While I don’t want 5 minute games, I definitely don’t want any match to feel like it’s dragging on. 10-15 minutes is the sweet spot. I’d go so far as to force end matches at the 25 minute mark.

As for add-ons. They should accentuate or change up the killers play style like how Tombstone and Scratched Mirror do for Myers. Numbers add-ons are just boring.

Freddy needs a complete rework that lets him keep his teleport (should be slightly buffed), brings back what made him fun and unique on release, makes the being in the dream world more threatening and do whatever else the General wants.
