I think that he could teleport from chest to chest, similarly to how Dredge can teleport to lockers. In addition, his power would be something along the lines of illusions. So maybe illusionary pallets that actually hurt you if thrown, things like that.
I want him to have a pounce similar to Victor where he launches himself at you and stabs you once and you lose one health state. I agree that some kind of illusion would be nice. Maybe illusions that can somehow trap survivors?
-
Scratched Mirror Buff that lets him walk faster when not in chase.
Nothing else because I like wondering if he’s going to murder me with tombstone or not. Nothing else in the game gives me the same fear and anxiety. I also don’t trust BHVR to not botch any rework when it comes to him. Just look at Sada-no and Freddy.
-
Many moons ago, when I was a wee lad, I considered the Leprechaun to be the most terrifying killer among the greats such as Jason, Myers and Freddy. Nowadays, he seems to have been forgotten by most. BHVR would probably add him if they thought they can make some nice coin off of him.
The question is, what would be his power and how will he be differentiated from Chucky?
-
Best thing to do is take a vacation. If more people did so, it would signal to BHVR that something is wrong and it’s not just the usual forum whining and hopefully get them to act and make improvements. They won’t do much if people keep playing since participation is a sign that the game is still “good enough”.
-
Good thing it’s an optional mode and you’re not forced to play it.
-
I recommend Franklins be part of your build for the foreseeable future. Along with flashlights, it helps remove tool boxes, med-kits, keys and makes some Survivors go ballistic that you dare make their item useless.
-
I’d only buff their mori to include more than one member in the killing.

Sure let’s give survivors even more basekit second chances and put even more restrictions on how killers are allowed to play. This will definitely solve all the problems this time.
The only thing that needs to be done is to reduce the bleed out timer when everyone in the match is slugged and have no way to pick themselves up. I wouldn’t consider that to be a second chance mechanic.
-
Daddy Myers
Scratched Mirror + whatever add-on I have to spare.
Play With Your Food, Undying, Haunted Grounds and Franklins Demise.
Hit Survivor, pretend to chase them, disappear, go back to their dropped item, hide nearby, proceed to give a heart attack to the Survivor when they come back to collect it.
It’s basically all I do when I play Killer. I’m addicted to it.Sometimes the team will challenge me and try to escape with the item which is just more fun all around, not unlike chest protector Bubbi.

Character customization. It’s so lacking compared to other games. I know from past discussions that I’m probably in the minority in the community but I really wish they’d overhaul customization and cosmetics.
I love changing my characters look every week (sometimes every day) in other games and I wish I could do that here. I wish there were more cosmetic slots so I can change more things individually such as a unique slot for face(glasses, piercings, tattoos), hair, head(think hats/helmets), neck, shoulders(capes/cloaks), torso, legs, feet, hands and you get the idea now.
They’d have to redo all cosmetics to make it work so we can mix and match to our hearts content but I don’t think they’ll allocate any man power to it unless they were sure the majority of players would want it. -
For Claudette-
- Froguette cosmetic. It’s a frog onesie that someone submitted to the cosmetic design contest many moons ago. I’m still bitter it never won.
2. Glenda the Goodrich poofy dress and magic wand that leaves a trail of sparkles so I can feel ✨pretty✨while I get moried.
3. Velma cosmetic from Scooby Doo. I don’t want it altered or Dbd-ified. I want it to look nice and clean and exactly as it looks in the show.4. Sequined purple pants suit that shimmers while she runs.
5. Ninja Cosmetic so I can have a squad of 4 Ninja Claudette’s. I want it to look like the Black Power Rangers Ninja Suit from the original Power Rangers movie.
6. Bush Cosmetic. The reason should be apparent. -

I generally don't care about survivor-only chapters, as they don't add to gameplay. They're just skins with occasionally pithy voice lines. Nick Cage was an exception because that was a wild meme and loading into Dead By Daylight only to see four No Mither Nicolas Cages plot twist themselves in front of me lives on in my heart forever. But for the most part, licensed survivor chapters are nothingburgers unless you're a fan of their IP. And I'm not into Tomb Raider, and the novelty factor of getting all these recognizable characters into DBD has long worn off for me, so... shrug.
Should they have hyped her more? Oh, sure. But it wouldn't have changed my reaction. Get me a full Tomb Raider chapter and we can talk.
I agree. The only time I’ll ever truly care about a licensed Survivor chapter is if we get Brenda Meeks from Scary Movie (better happen!). Otherwise, new Licensed Killers are really what draw people in.

Play as him for a few weeks and you’ll see how limited he really is. Against good (not great) Survivors, he struggles a lot.
Tombstone, while powerful, isn’t all that great against Survivors who know how to numb in a locker, latch onto a gen or vault so he can’t kill them. If the Survivors play while being attentive and deny him Stalk, most of the gens could be completed before he could even proc it. It actually gets super boring pretty quickly when you hardly get into chases because you’re trying to juice people and finally proc it when 4 gens are done and the final one is 50% complete.
He is fun to play as with Scratched Mirror. But even then, he’s too slow to chase Survivors and his Lunge is so short you’ll be whiffing a lot until you get used to it. It’s just fun if you’re going into the match with the intent to scare, not kill.
Not saying he is weak, but he is dated and frustrating. He’s definitely fun against people who don’t know his counters. I just hope they don’t change him too much. It’s nice how his add-ons completely change up his play style. It’s also nice that he can put fear and dread into Survivors like no other killer can. I just hope they can tweak it to make it more fun for both sides without neutering him.
At the very least, I hope they don’t touch Scratched Mirror. It’s the only reason I play him.

Just another reason to remove the lobby. Just load into the game once matchmaking has found 5 people. The improvement to Matchmaking will be worth it to lose the little benefit of the lobby.

Not usually.
When I first joined DBD, I came here to learn.
Now I find myself without those who taught me, so I try to educate through arguments.
I don’t have it in me to argue anymore. I find myself typing responses to people and then just changing my mind and deleting the text because, most of the time, people don’t want to learn or have a discussion, they just want to rant.
-
Base-kit Unbreakable? No. You can bring in the perk if you find yourself slugged often and hate the experience.
Reduce the bleed out timer when everyone is slugged and they have no way to get up or if there are only two people left? Sure. It puts more pressure on the killer to hook and alleviates frustration from the slugged player.
-
It helped me improve a little when I first started since I had some kind people direct me to YouTube so I can watch how good players play. Other than that, not much. I still prefer stealth and am bad at looping but I at least know to keep aware of my surroundings and run before the Killer reaches my gen and waste their time by making them catch up to me.
-
Self Care, Inner Strength, No Mither and Weaving Spiders. I feel this build represents how much I love my teammates in SoloQ 😘🥰
-
There is no anti-camping mechanic. There’s just an anti-face camp mechanic that’s designed to give survivors a “chance” at unhooking and getting away, not guarantee it.

I heavily dislike Hillbilly and I always have. Never joined the Hillbilly mafia that say he's "so fun to play against". He's 2nd only to Spirit to me for "annoying to face" killers.
That said, I never gave up against him or any killer for that matter. Other players are another story, they give up against him all the time in my experience. But that's what happens when players (survivors mostly) encourage and excuse giving up at the slightest inconvenience instead of pushing people not to do it.
Same. I’ve always hated playing against him. His chainsaw always managed to impale my derrière no matter how stealthy I played. I actually prefer going against Spirit, Nurse, Blight and a Slug Master Twins player over him.
That’s not to say I think he’s overpowered. I fully admit I’m bad, but I do think he’s super frustrating to face.

Have the infection temporarily transform a Survivor into a Zombie that chases their teammates. Only one Survivor could be a Zombie and teammates and decrease the time spent as one by throwing vaccine grenades at them.
Mori should be redone to where the Survivor gets blasted by Nemo’s rocket launcher.
-
kinda off topic, but this isn’t necessarily a killer main thing. Lots of us play both roles.
-
You don’t need aura builds to do well. I never had much issue just running Whispers or Spies from the Shadows to find a Survivor. If someone’s running Distortion then it’s a detriment to their team since I’m just going to go after the ones I can easily find. They can’t whine I tunneled when k can’t find the elusive player.

Leatherface has an addon that causes survivors items to drop when hit with his chainsaw. I think that might be the only power based addon that does this.
But it's so weird to see complaints about a 2 perk combo for aura reading after killers running full slowdown builds were just complained about and recently nerfed.
I think Charlotte has one that lets Vicky have the same affect as well.

I haven’t purchased him just because he’s too map dependent. Maybe they should allow him to teleport to chests and totems to help him out a bit.

Say 1/4 of killers play nice and don’t tunnel, that 25% of killers are depressing kill-rates because they aren’t using the most optimal strategy, which is tunneling. So yeah, 1/4th of your games are good while 3/4ths are miserable.
Since we’re pulling numbers out of the air it could be argued that the excessive amount of Survivors who Suicide on Hook counter acts the amount of Killers who play nice.
-
Stealth Bubbi Boi and Scratched Mirror Myers.
Pinhead and Pig. There’s no escaping the traps once chain hunt starts. I can see devs never allowing them to play together.
Chucky and The Twins.
Demodoggy and Xenokitty. The best boi and girl duo.
-
She’s a SoloQ stomper but wait until you go against a SWF that know how to deny you your power. It’s so miserable.
Not saying she’s bad, but against good opponents, you will sweat your butt off.

I went to Helldivers 2 and will never look back at DBD. Playing solo queue is like being in an abusive relationship.
What everyone fails to mention about how killer-sided this game is, is the fact that kill-rates are massively depressed because nice killers don’t tunnel. Tunneling is an I-Win button. If the game was balanced around the best strategy, tunneling, kill rates would probably be around 95%. It’s insane that the killer can decide to win the game by tunnel or most likely win but not tunneling.
This doesn’t make sense to me. You say the “kill rates are massively depressed because nice killers don’t tunnel”. If that were true, wouldn’t most matches have nice killers and provide an enjoyable experience for SoloQ survivors?
I mean, I would think that if you describe the game as an abusive relationship, I’d assume most of your matches are miserable where you face things you’d don’t like such as tunneling killers. But if the kill rates are “depressed” as you say, due to nice killers, your experience should be better than what you’re claiming, should it not?
-
The Aura read does nothing but let the Killer know where you are. It doesn’t win chases and down Survivors. The Killer still has to come for you and you can still loop them. If you’re easily down-able, that’s a you problem, not a perk problem.
-
No, people would lobby dodge even more and make queue times skyrocket.
-
Probably didn’t sell enough to be worth their time to make any changes to her. If only they were able to get Sigourney Weaver’s likeness and voice lines.
-
-
No, it’s been competitive since I started with Stranger Things original release. Things just felt less sweaty back then since Survivors had so many easily usable get out of jail free cards that no matter how the killer played, they were able to dunk on them and escape. It was their party and the Killer was the piñata.
But as you say, if you’re causal and don’t care about wins, it can be a party game if they want it to be. -
One time, I was on the toilet minding my own business and a demonic creature the likes of which only Satan himself could withstand came before me. My heart stopped, I held my breath, sweat dripped profusely from my brow, and I prayed. The demonic hellspawn had no interest in me, it was is I wasn’t there, and it walked away.
After I finished my business on the pearly throne, I encountered it once again, only this time I was prepared with La Chancla and it met a swift demise.
here is an image of what the demonic being looks like: -
Bully Squads are frustrating but they’re not doing anything against the rules. You’re supposed to match their energy as Killer. Find the weak link and tunnel them out. Slug and bleed them out if you have to as well. They can just be seen as a group of sweaty players trying to use every advantage the game provides them, not unlike killers who tunnel and slug from the start of a match.

Sometimes it's bad luck to go down and even good players can go quickly down to S-tier killer with lethal. I agree soloQ players should improve but one thing I find is unfair pc and playstation survivors get to know before match what killer they are going to face. We don't know that on xbox.
A perk should not be nerfed because of “bad luck”.
Survivors shouldn’t be informed who the killer is at all. I’d go so far as to say that there should be no lobby either. Once 4 survivors queue up, killer gets matched and they immediately load in without seeing each other.

Lethal pursuer is problematic in beginning of the match with killers with mobility blight, hillbilly and nurse. They can down survivor almost before they get loaded in the game. In soloQ match is instantly lost when first down happens in under 20s. It's too strong. Survivors should have bit of time before first chase start.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3735442#Comment_3735442
The starter has points many loops are rendered unsafe to make chases shorter and expecting average soloQ survivor to loop killer long in current game is not realistic. Survivor should have bit of time in start of match not instantly get chased by blight. Match is already lost right at the start and that is not good for balance or the game.
At some point, the average SoloQ survivor needs to actually be responsible and improve their skills and not be a detriment to their team. And as has been said before, if they can’t, Distortion is an option. There is no reason to immediately go down at the start of the match unless they’ve massively misplayed.

Ive never really liked the, "Just because its not fun for you doesnt mean…" kinda arguments. Well, it just so happens that seeing my teammates getting downed a few seconds into the match isnt fun for me. Everyones fun is subjective. I dont get your point here and why that first part is even relevant to the discussion.
I never said that survivors have to pop one or two gens before the first down. I said that its unfair when the killer has the first down before survivors have had an opportunity to start gens which is an issue that Lethal Pursuer creates when used on high mobility killers.
I would love to agree with you on distortion but since everyone wants to discuss stats, Ill just refer you to the same stats everyone else wants to talk about.
https://nightlight.gg/perks/Distortion
Distortion isnt providing any benefit when its win rates are steadily declining.I didn’t bring up stats, I just brought up the fact that people use it because it brings them value. If it didn’t bring them value they wouldn’t use it. The perk isn’t going to hold their hand throughout the match and make them win, they have to actually put effort in trying to out play the killer.
Seeing your teammates get downed within a few seconds of the start of the is a problem with your teammates skill and not any perk. If you want to complain, complain about the lack of tutorials and about the matchmaking system, not Lethal Pursuer which only lets the killer know where people are and is easily countered by Distortion.
Finally, it’s perfectly fair if a Killer gets a down before Survivors start working on gens. The Survivors have been massively out played and the Killer out skilled them if they were able to get a down before they even touch a gen. There is zero reason to go down at 5 gens when none of the maps resources have been used except for the Survivor who went down is just bad. Even on high mobility Killers, if Survivors play with using their brain, one gen at minimum should be done.

Im not bad at looping, however, Im no Ayrun either. That being said though, I dont disagree with you that killer interaction is what makes the game fun. Even though I was my former competitive teams gen jockey and I have no issues sitting on gens and completing the objective, its still fun to loop when I get the opportunity. What isnt fun, however, is having that chase start too early and the killer getting a down before survivors have even had the opportunity to spread out and start on generators. And weve already discussed distortion and how it doesnt actually provide any benefit.
Starting chases early is not fun for you but that isn’t true for others. Again, if a Killer gets a down before one or two gens are completed or it’s a skill issue on the Survivors part and not a problem with Lethal Pursuer. Survivors have plenty of opportunity to spread out and get on gens. Killer can only be chasing one person at a time and everyone is notified when someone is being chased. It’s not the perks fault if Survivors choose to take their time to even start working on gens or if the first Survivor is bad. That’s a problem with matchmaking.
And yes, Distortion provides plenty of benefit, especially to people who can’t loop. It wouldn’t be so popular if it didn’t.
-
I dislike Lethal Pursuer because I’m bad at looping and prefer more of a stealth play style unless I need to take a hook for someone. Not because it’s unhealthy or poorly balanced. It’s actually a well designed perk because the community have repeatedly told BHVR that the best part of the game is “the chase” and this perk lets the Killer start chases rather than run around looking for survivors hiding behind rocks.
This is really a case of “git gud”. All of a maps resources are available at the start of the match, no one worth their salt should be going down before at least one gen gets completed. I’d argue two gen’s should be done to be honest. And if you really struggle, Distortion is an option.
-
I want it that way -Backstreet Boys
-
As a Scratched Mirror Myers main when I play Killer, yes. I’ll give up all gen slowdown perks in return for 120 second gens. I don’t use gen slowdown at all anyways and the added time to get more delicious scares will be glorious.

I think the flaw in this is that the game is going to have a real hard time creating lobbies once all the killers who constantly lobby dodge are moved into the shadow banned matchmaking pool.
Easy fix- no more lobbies. Just load into a match when 4 survivors are found. It won’t be the end of the world if killers can’t see survivor items. The overall health of the game and matchmaking would improve.

Ya me either, slugging is not a big problem. However, as a soloq, I can't always bring Exponential or Bond to counter Knock Out.
You can if you think Slugging is going to be a big problem. I run Unbreakable every match and while I don’t get value out of it every match, I like knowing that I have it. It’s also come in clutch plenty of times to warrant it a permanent spot in my build.
-
Nah, it’s not the most debated perk. NOED, Dead Hard, Adrenaline and (insert select gen slowdown perk) have been debated much more.
Anyways, the perk is fine. Killers are getting more and more aura reading and stealth play are getting minimized. Survivors need some kind of counter and jumping in lockers isn’t always feasible. It’s also limited by tokens.
