Can confirm, I have benefitted from that "natural Lightborn" when I played this weekend !
It does not only apply to pallet breaking, but to pickups as well. I didn't get blinded by survivors while pickup up right in front of them, flashlight on me with the right timing. At most, the edges of my screen go slightly yellow.
-
This is good.
This means the next time the game gets balanced to bring killrates up (hopefully by fixing specific killer issues rather than buff them in general), it will not affect solos much more than SWFs. Now balancing can be made between 2 groups in mind instead of 3.
I was a bit cautious that people might become too efficient and objective oriented, but all I'm seeing so far is that it cut some slack on survivors, allowing them to do some totems and chest again without throwing. At least, I'll indulge.
-
Wouldn't be against that. Would prevent hostage situations as well when 2 survivors hide with too many gens left, though it means they'll probably escape.
Another solution for that should be implemented to prevent it in the first place, but this would be a last resort solution.
-
Probably Spirit !
I don't play her often, so I'm very bad, but she feels great to play.

You struggle to find gens in Autohaven? :O
That map is too dark =(
Black on black/dark blue and green doesn't exactly pop out haha
-
This is why I feel a bit guilty on maps like Midwich, RPD or Autohaven where I struggle to find gens and chests (been messing around with Appraisal + AITH).
-
Offerings would be shared among all characters and I wouldn't mind.
But since killers have their own addons and can't share between them, I think it's only fair that items are separated on survivors too.
-
Point 5 made me chuckle !
-
As a new Legion main who joined the game after the last rework (6th anniversary), I really appreciate knowing a bit more about their history !
Thanks =)
-
There might be something wrong, yes !
I've played killer a little bit this weekend and over a few games, I had a few weird flashlight interactions. Like, I'd pick up a survivor, realize as I'm looking back up that someone ran up to me and is blinding me, but I neither get the red screen nor the blind (just like if I had Lightborn, which I did not), and the survivors stays on my shoulder.
I know their timing wasn't wrong, plus it was not even the question : the borders of my screen showed I was in range to be blinded, but it just... didn't happen.
I've also had people somehow miss blinding me at a pallet, same visual : borders of my screen going slightly yellow, but no red screen, and no blind.
The two times I can think of, I was playing Clown and Legion.

Maybe... I also pair it with head on and flashbang for a full wombo combo
I see you go for style points <3
Actually sounds pretty fun haha !

And here i am with Red Herring probably being one of my most ran perks (I use it in my main build)
Let me guess, you're that one person who plays Red Hering / Blast Mine that keeps getting me blinded ? Hahaha
I actually think the perk is cool, not strong or anything, but cool. You get swagger points ! =)
-
Went to check and, according to Nightlight (which is biased, but still gives an idea) :
Survivors : Buckle Up, Red Herring, Corrective Action, Inner Focus, Blood Pact, Poised, Self-Preservation, Pharmacy and Up the Ante have less than 0,20% of use.
Killers : Hangman's Trick, Territorial Imperative, Hoarder and Septic Touch have less than 0,20% of use.
I would have listed all beneath 1% of use, but that was 40% of survivor perks (and 30% of killers'), same with under 0,50% of use, which was 20% of survivor perks (10% of killers').
-
Still not 100% accurante, but you could go on Nightlight to see their stats over a couple thousand reported games. =)
-
If it's a hint, it's really cool !
If not, then yeah, classic tally. Though seeing it my mind immediately went "DbD" as where I'm from tally marks are squares with a slash in them ! =D
-
I don't get motion sick from Monitor & Abuse the same way I do playing Nurse, but I agree that the FOV change can be disorienting.
-
Dont care, would rather give hatch.
-
Plaything Pentimento, for my part =)
I can't guess for the survivor perk combos, since when I'm in game I tend not to really notice them since I don't yet have the reflex of keeping in mind everyone's perks.

I wouldn’t say nothing. That’s permanent lvl 50 BW is fantastic. It’s guaranteed 2 iris.
I hear that ! But it wouldn't do much for me. I'm a hoarder of rare stuff, I never use anything past yellow, just in case I need them later you know ? X)

Slight spoilers for Sally Face.
Sal Fisher from Sally Face ! Specifically, a white-eyed killer (according to the white eye killer theories, that the Entity makes them see things).
I don't have a whole paragraph to talk about the hows or the whys without spoiling the game entirely, but I think it could work !
If you've played the game, you know. =D
He could work as survivor as well depending on the timeline of when he's taken by the entity ! Both would be very cool in my opinion.

Maybe a hint some of the underwhelming hex perks are getting a buff?
That sounds way more fun then translation errors, I'm going with that
I really wish it is !!
-
Checked the French version for easter eggs, but they're only talking about Eruption.
Also, everything was very badly translated.
Perks = "Compétences" (skills) in the French version of the game
In that official text, they were called both "Sorts" (the correct term for Hexes but not for perks) and "Avantages" (literal translation of "perk", doesn't make sense in this context).
So... Hex rework just for us Frenchies ? =D
-
I don't think I will commit to P100 a killer anytime soon considering I still have a couple and a few survivors that are not prestiged yet. And also, that it does nothing.
However, if one day I want to go through and P100 a killer, it will either be th Hag or the Legion, because they're my OG mains =)
-
Looks fantastic !

For the love of fluffy little kittens - let it be Badham because that's...well, GoJ is worse, but it's still a gigantic smelly butt of a map.
I second the Badham rework !
Even as survivor, I don't like its layout.
-
Can't wait to bathe in bloodpoints this weekend. Haven't been able to play much since the beginning of the year !
-
Was kinda hoping they'd forget about the Finisher Mori alltogether...
Excited about the map repeat and bloodweb improvements though !
-
I think the perk would be extremely niche, unless you're in Legion limbo and see them every other game.
That being said, as long as it's not fully removing KI, I'm good with what you're offering.
-
His TR was really cool the first 15 times I heard it, but now it's just loud and annoying and everywhere.
I also dislike his voice, wish I could turn off his lines. Pinhead has a nice deep voice, but Whiskers here just sounds snotty, overall very punchable (which does make his mori more immersive I suppose).
On the strength, he's alright. Some of his hits feel very generous on the receiving end, but I also remember his launch and how horrible it was to aim the rush just right. It's still dodgeable, so there's counterplay, so I can't complain.
But yeah, happy that most of them loiter in higher brackets than mine. I'd rather face Nurse.
-
Buff the lesser used perks so that there's a reason to take them instead of the current meta, reduce the strength of tunneling so that survivors can let go of second chances, buff going after different survivors so that killers are actually incentived to leave hook and spread hook stages (through maybe a basekit Grim Embrace kind of thing, or a buff to gen kick on a token system), and make killer-specific QoL and buffs to lower tier killers.
I don't think a shakeup needs to nerf what's currently used into the ground.
-
It might be awkward for a while, but it's to make future balance nerfs/buffs easier.
Hopefully the buffs to killer that will undoubtedly follow will be killer-specific to address their own issues and not "here's a bulk buff to killer in general that will not actually help lower tier killers"
-
It's already much easier getting bloodpoints playing killer... 25k per survivor is extremely excessive.
Plus communication can't fix bad players. Most swf are not a big threat to killers.
And even if comms carry the group... so what ? They'll rise to an mmr with killers that can handle them.
So mmr is the problem, not swf as a whole...
-
Going after the same survivor when they're unhooked. If you can squeeze in a successful chase before they're unhooked, but still go back specifically for them, it's still a tunnel in my opinion same as if you give up on your current chase to go look for them as soon as you get the unhook notification.
Hooking the same survivor twice after a lapse of time post-unhooking is generally accidental and doesn't count.
-
Almost 400 =)
That's not much by DbD standards, but that's quite a bit more than most games I play, since the games I enjoy most tend to be indie solo games that take around 10 to 20 hours to complete.
That's around what I have on Hollow Knight though !
I'm not a big player though, I have other time-consuming interests (namely, animation) that prevent me from playing video games as much as I'd like. I think beyond HK and DbD, my most played games are Darkest Dungeon, Borderlands 2 and Don't Starve Together, all at around 160h. =D
-
I don't think "no boost" is a "nerf", more like... an unchanged situation ? He didn't get worse, he just didn't get stronger.
That being said, it's really nice that you're quitting smoking ! If you can take DbD, you're strong enough for it ;D

What's up with the care for Haddie? She hasn't even been OUT for a year and everyone is screaming and crying for a Haddie cosmetic when Jeff and Adam haven't gotten any in over a year. Haddie is not only unpopular, but she's still a newish survivor so ofc its gonna be longer before she gets more outfits. Vittorio's tome was made before even he was AND he's a wildly popular survivor already so ofc he's gonna get some focus
It's half meme and half genuine, at least where I'm concerned. =)
I really like Haddie, I think she looks tough and cool, so I play her. I don't play Jeff or Adam, so of course I'm gonna care a bit less about their cosmetics. Same as I don't play Feng or Dwight so I don't really care about theirs. Plus since they're older, they have a bit more choice, as it stands.
But she's the new survivor who came with the least outfits and still hasn't gotten much, only the ugly sweater to my knowledge. Her recolor cosmetics are also barely any different from the base cosmetics, particularly the heads are practically a rip off.
I don't crusade for her, but when the occasion rises to meme with others about a character I like, I take it ! =D
-
I'm only ever using her mascarade outfit =(
Hopefully BHVR gives her a bit more love soon.
-
For some reason some people play this game as if there weren't actual people behind the screens, or remember that there are only to grief.
Good on you for reporting them. I hope they enjoy the timeout.
-
I play more survivor because I've met quite a few friends through the game, so now any time I log on there's probably someone to catch up with and play a few survivor games together.
However, I enjoy killer a bit more.
-
I misread "what's your favorite killer" and was super happy (though suprised!) to see some Legions and Pinheads and Nurses, all killers I enjoy going against.
So for the actual answer :
- Plague. She's just too powerful for me. I don't like her sound design, I don't like vomiting all game, and I don't like that either you're injured all game or she's like you gave Huntress a machine gun.
- Deathslinger. (Do you see a pattern here with range killer ? No you don't!) I know he isn't super strong, but his TR gives me depression and I struggle to dodge his gun for some reason.
- Wesker. His TR was super cool the first 50 times I heard it, now it's just noisy and annoying. I also think his voice is irritating.
-
Man, I'm like, 100k bloodpoints away from getting Appraisal on my main girl Haddie, + she already has Ace in the Hole (and obviously Residual Manifest).
I can't wait to open my loot boxes !! =D

Man even after what I just posted... you monster.
=)
-
It would be dumb to leave the hooks, that's true.
And I'm dumb, so that's a perfect match ! =D
-
Never Sleep Pills + Mural Sketch
Legion be zooming !
-
As the person above me said, it's two different things.
Saying it's made for kids halves the ads of the video and turns off the comments, so DbD content creators are definitely not marking their videos as 'for all audiences'.
Age restriction is a factor that comes later and that they can't really control.
-
Buffing weaker killers aside...
Matchmaking incentives worked really well. How about incentives to play lesser-played killers ?
(Absolutely not a ploy to get more points as a Hag main, what are you talking about !)
-
Hiding in lockers against Iron Maiden, and not understanding why I'd scream and get downed by a Nurse immediately after...
-
What else do we hate ?
That Crotus Prenn (I think, I'm not 100% sure) totem spot that's AGAINST a locker, and gives you a 50% chance to open the locker whenever you go to snuff the boon carelessly.
Will update with a screenshot of the offender if I see it today.

Only problem being "an actual fair match" is likely a sweatfest.
When they trialled different matchmaking conditions last year, players didn't like the closer matches. It was too sweaty, AND it took too long to find a match.
I mean, I'd take a sweaty fair match over being stomped on repeat. Surely that would be an improvement.
And if it was a toggle option that you could activate or deactivate, if it turned out to be lower quality matches, it could be turned back off.

I think the more important takeaway is that it emphasises how much effects can be stacked. Yeah, nobody's going to stack for 2s heals. But stacking a couple of those--a purple medkit, someone bringing CoH, maybe having We'll Make It--and suddenly you're healing at 3x normal speed.
True. Makes me think of the video of the guy selfcaring through pentimento sloppy & coulrophobia, for like a minute long heal haha
