the mmr when you have a significant amount of hours in one role and then swapping to the other could use some tightening up. Even if you don’t have the mechanics down your overall game knowledge for strategies and time management transfer over and makes it pretty unbalanced. I would ask them to consider not putting these players with newer players. It probably ruins their experience because there’s still a “skill difference”.
-
would like adding base kit corrupt, or something be too much to add to his kit? Grim embrace? Like for this killer specifically.
-
Can you elaborate on what “trying hard” means to you?
Are you trying to say you pulled a “‘I gotta go to the bathroom” on the killer?
-
Sometimes I think balance and sometimes I think I’ll be sad to see it go. This is more of a “feelings” not “balanced” opinion.
As survivor I would be sad to see it go. I feel like it’s a rite of passage to be able to beat tombstone myers as survivor. It signals you’re learning more than just do gen; get save; try not to die in chase.
As killer you get a trophy if you do it, and it used to be really hard to get. I don’t really play him much anymore, or care if he’s changed or not. So I’d leave that up to mains, because he’s their favorite.
As a survivor thnx for the memories ❤️ if they change him, and as killer indifferent mostly, Addons depend on buff weight. If they don’t change him business as usual, see you on the off day with your addons?

That just tells me your playing with swf.
Yeah I’ve been playing with a friend (in a duo), for the event. Why do you say that, is solo having a better time in the event or something?

I avoided this mode after like 3-5 matches of it.
Break a pallet with power free down simulator. Its just not remotely balanced or fun on the survivor side of things.I’ve been playing the event every time I log on, and I can assure you it has not eased up at all on the survivor side. It’s still atrocious. I’m just playing it because it’s retiring.
-
Idk but it sounds like it’s locked until purchase but the progress is held for you in the meantime after the trial is over. On owned characters it immediately shares, so I would check a character you own and see if Sable’s perks are in there.
-
survivor perk:
Taco Tuesday
Whenever you’re in chase drop tacos where your scratch marks would be. If you collect 30 of your dropped tacos go really fast for x amount of time
This perk only works on Tuesdays and is deactivated the rest of the week.

-
I can tell you this much it’s certainly vengeful. I think this perk put hair on my chest.

it was too weak tho, by the time you deal any meaningful damage, the item would've been used up on its own anyway.
the best version will always be the charge timer one, though i would always love the "entity eats item" version cuz it was so petty
I mean keep it as is, and give me a flat 20k-25k bp for each time I have to play against Franklin’s on top of what I’d earn otherwise. Also let the killers know in their perk description they reimburse the funds. That should cover the item, and two addons purchased in my blood web, and now being down around possibly a build, and the added frustration of not being able to use what I brought in. Consider it a reimbursement 🫶
-
Blacksmith Franklins Demise:
sharpen your weapon in the basement for 60 seconds to be able to gain the ability to have all survivors drop their items.
Survivors no longer can use items until the last generator is powered.
You now have to hit survivors 3 times to send them into dying and move 20% percent slower carrying a survivor to the hook for the remainder of the trial.
-
I miss the version of Franklin’s that just took off charges per hit. It felt balanced to me.
Like I feel like no regression at all is a bit too far as well as welp the item is just toasted now. Removing charges based on how many times it’s dropped seems fair enough.

Far stronger than what we have today. That was the strongest Killer has ever

I agree with you, I think maybe if the timer was shorter also it'd be more worth it. IDK why they are so scared to tweak values of these perks and see how they do with stronger tuning.
I think it’s a lost cause and would be a waste of resources to even try to make the perk appealing. I just chalk it up to a noob trap. The perk feels like it was created by someone that’s never touched survivor and plays killer only. It’s overly convoluted for a one time heal, and a giant time sink that’s more likely to cost the game than give a reward. Even endgame adrenaline just does it better.

I have no idea why this isn't just one chest, 2 chests when only like 3 or 4 are available and there are 4 survivors is tonedeaf.
Stand alone self care would be a better pick. Not even removing 1 chest off this would make the perk appealing I think. If the idea was to limit swf, self care would still be a better pick.

@ChuckingWong said:
You already barely get any points and minimize your points for actually ending a match soon as killer. If you complete stomp fest you get almost 0 chase category points.
Adding a point incentive would sadly not do anything : \same with survivor. You get a good amount of points even if you die by just playing the game IF you’re not hard tunneled out. Do some gens, take some chase, get some saves and you get almost 30k bp
also very true gotta milk the survivors for points to maximize bp as killer. -
Moment of Glory. Do I understand the intent, yes. Do I still think it’s poorly designed, yes.
-
I am once again proposing an egc on gens in a 2v1 situation with multiple gens left or the remaining survivors get sacrificed to the entity if time expires.

Maybe then I could actually play Plague, she only seems to work for me if I play her a bit like a twinstick shooter on controller, controlling the cam and the vomit at the same time.
yes. Straight up breaking up actions instead of bulking them and letting people bulk assign their own or even adding combo mapping like ex: “L1+O “ for an assigned action would make console feel so much better. Probably pc too. I’m sure they have their own woes.
-
poison mechanic is better than mend. Maybe something similar to pigs boxes but instead of getting your party hat off you’re running to different chem labs or plants to find the right antidote to ingest. I love the idea of instead of being unhooked you have to go cut a survivor out of a cocoon. Sounds engaging. If the terror radius is small means she’s probably a slower killer so a built in slow down would work with that. It would be cool if for pallet break animation she uses her spider legs to break the pallet. I like where your head is at. I think a fun killer to play and go against is a great idea. Mix of plague/pig/trapper would be 🤟
-
only 1 thing?
Hag becomes the new DbD super villain people pitch fork over OR both sides get buffed out the wahzoo and there’s nothing that isn’t busted in this game. Pure chaos.Quarter can land either way.

Interesting situation with Singularity, my dear friend, before this thread I thought most players liked him.
I get that he’s probably really fun to play, and it’s no hate against singularity players, friend promise it’s not you pinky swear, they don’t even play “toxic” usually. It’s just man you gotta sit on gens, then gotta stand around and hold down a button for a box to get the emps on repeat, sometimes they hit and run so now your adding healing sim on top of it which is more standing around. To me he does incorporate something different , I just don’t like the different.
At least with pigs old school braces that promote jaw realignment I’m running around trying to get it off and the side quest feels more engaging. The players usually have a lot of personality. Ya never know what’s going to happen with them. It’s a vs his kit thing for me more than a person behind the wheel with singularity. They’re all down there for different reasons. I’d rather see singularity than cannibal if it makes you feel better.
Like I’m not gonna lie to you clown and doctor are both down there because 1. I don’t like screaming my head off it gives me a headache. 2. I just have a visceral loathing for clowns smoker cough, and I gotta listen to it. Doesn’t even have anything to do with their gameplay. If I could mute those singular noise interactions both would jump up to still having fun.

Yeah, I was concerned with the percentages. I guess if things are really as fluid with this Grimoire as they are making it out to be, I don't see why we couldn't combine the previous vote with this one to make something like Otherworldly Beastly instead of just completely overriding things and making it so that this whole Grimoire thing becoming a constantly flip flop of the majority losing and the minority winning.
they could do a redo and make an otherworldly chimera option for the third chimera option so the percentage weight distribution is even. And same for survivor throw an extra one in for touched
Like for survivor I jumped ship from post apocalyptic to one of the touched options but you’re right they’ll be weighted differently because one theme has 3 subs and the other has 2 subs naturally putting whatever is 2 subbed at a percentage advantage.
-
@AquaticCitizen said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3962453#Comment_3962453
Oh yeah I understand that, but does it completely override the previous vote or does it combine it with the previous vote?
For example, since Otherworldly won the first time, and let's say that Beastly (an option from Chimeric) won this time. Would it combine the two, so we would have an Otherworldly Beastly killer now? Or does it just go back to being Chimeric?
I would HEAVILY prefer if it combined the two instead of completely removing the previous vote. I don't think completely overriding is a good idea and would leave a lot of people unhappy (including me).I don’t want to assume so someone correct me if I’m wrong:
It selects the two most voted for options on survivor and killer, eliminating all other other choices from the pool.
Now you whether you want change your vote or choose between the two most selected and their “sub options”
I imagine from there it will branch down into another “change your fate” until it’s narrowed down to solidify a final popular vote.
so like as an example next one will be like choose between this sub touched or sub apocalyptic survivor.
like playoffs almost if you’ve ever filled out a tournament sheet to guess whose going to win as it narrows down the team but instead of you just losing they let you continue picking between the winners.
update I see your concerned with the diffs of percentages due to uneven choice for fair shakes -

I get that. I just wasn't sure if you were aware that you can make some keybind changes.
Yeah :) I’m a gamer 😂 controller settings is the first thing I go to when I don’t like a games overlapping action mechanics or even basic mechanic set up. Binding is my bread and butter as a gamer. I’ll go to settings over something as small as i don’t like which button dodge, jump, and duck are assigned to. I think I spent a solid few hours pathing buttons for Nioh just to get the feel right for items, buffs, debuffs, and actions so it flowed smoothly in combat and felt intuitive(and still to this day it’s one of the things I appreciate most about the game).
Anyways yeah I rolled the rock up hill several times trying to get the binding system in DbD to “feel good and give the results” and solve my own woes in game before marching to the capitol. I even tried turning the console off and back on. I took the cartridge out blew on it, and put it back in, I made sure everything is plugged in, newest update installed, made sure the batteries were good in the controller, went for a drug test to make sure I wasn’t high and tripping, asked if the binding system needed a nap or was hungry, alternating combinations testing in trials.Nothing.
I’d sacrifice my first born to the entity to get a fleshed out and functioning binding in this game.

I know. I'm just saying you can mitigate some of that.
I appreciate you trying to help, I really do, I mean that.
I’m just trying to leave feedback and what I think can improve user experience, and why someone would want a more complex system for binding(especially when you feel like it solves nothing you went to it for). I mean this so nicely(honestly I appreciate all the hard work everyone puts in on the team whether it pans out or not, at least they’re trying, I know a bunch of companies that give 0 cares and dust their hands) the binding system needs work though. I agree with other players when they say it creates an undesirable experience.

This is an issue on some Killers as well, the number of times I've teleported when I wanted to cancel my remnant because teleport and remnant spawn are the same button is obscene. The number of times I've chosen the wrong Dracula form and lost momentum when I had it because the buttons are similar or mismatched. The number of times I have tried to use a Pinhead chain and canceled because the button was wrong.
In all cases I had to totally remap the controller.Imagine the beautiful interface and user experience if input binding was relegated to the survivor selection tab(since they’re just skins anyways) and you can fully map out your actions.
And each killer had their own designated input binding tab upon selection you can save with the same break out but for their powers and basic killer actions.
It would be so nice and just make the game FEEL better.

You do know you can do some remapping right? I don't believe you can separate locker and window vaults but you can avoid the trying to heal accidentally drop a pallet mess.
it’s not just heal pallets, it’s locker vaults, it’s item teched on heals, pick up items when you’re trying to vault, They all add up.
It’s little things like item pick up/drop but it brings over like a plethora of other actions like unhooking, repair, heal, totems ect when I try to move the action over but it brings the action that creates the item/heal tech issue with it because it’s bulked actions even when it’s labeled as “drop item” for assignment.
So you move stuff around to try to fix the issue and it doesn’t even solve the issue, nor create a better user feel; because now you gotta learn like 10 things you just moved to a button trying to move the 1 thing “drop item” and you still have the initial WHY you did the reassignment in the first place going on. It creates a bad user experience. When they can break the actions up and let people map their own stuff.
it creates a bad user experience, it’s maddening because the binding available doesn’t solve the WHY I wanted to reassign. -
my suggestion is mapping out all actions and letting players on pc/console/switch fully map out each action to the button they want to instead of having several actions tied when you only want to move certain actions. I think this would create a much better UX(user experience) for players.
Ie item pick up/drop
Chest
Unhook
Heal
Ect
That way we can all assign what we want where.
I am on PlayStation for example maybe I want item pick up drop assigned to O but I want Unhook assigned to R1Maybe I want locker assigned to ◾️ but vault assigned to R1
As examples. Like let players do their own button bulk assignments and separations to preferred sequences.

So you have to leave someone on the floor during the match due to pallet save risk or flashlight and they end up being the 2nd to last. Its completely fine they pop out of existence the moment they hit the floor?
No, I disagree.
I don’t think anyone anticipating getting a pallet save is about to hit abandon if their teammate is going for it. If someone is on the ground you can see where everyone else is.
-
The button bindings on controller really are absolute garbage. I opened a ticket a while back with what would make it feel better for console users. Some of them don’t even do what they say they will, they attach like 5 other things to it. They should put someone that plays this game on console on a QoL for that, it is absolutely maddening.
-
I really enjoy the licenses but I like the original content they come up with so much more, and there’s always more liberties they can take with original content vs licensed. I wouldn’t say I’m fatigued because it’s enjoyable either way, but I much prefer their spins on things.

Mettle of man, duty of care, we’ll make it, made for this , med kit with double charges or charge and speed.

Leader increases other Survivors I thought?
it is, my bad If you’re grouping with people doing sabo I would take leader because all the benefits and it’s a higher percentage. So like you become the distraction the other person gets the speed boost to heal them up from dying. They go to pick them up because hook respawn other person gets a sabo boost to be able to also sabo faster(assuming they have something that unlocks that action).
if you’re not then yeah spine chill or resilience. If it’s just you doing everything. Even then Made For This might be a better fourth slot since you’re already using cutting wire addon sabo( you can even replace scrap metal with hacksaw addon if you’re miffed about the -6% from swapping out spine chill) speed so you can heal them up from dying and tank a hit if needed, or even we’re gonna live forever to pick them up from dying fast. This is just if it were me. I’d go with leader, mft, or wglf for the fourth slot. I just think this would help create better results as far as what happens after the sabo and upping the chances of the other person getting up from dying and away. If you have your heart set on spine chill I won’t dissuade you, these are just some ideas. -
@stikyard said:
The extra info might be handy but I generally don't go the save unless the downed survivor is close enough. I don't completely throw the match to setup the Sabotage. I will leave a generator if my teammate is close enough.
The Spinechill boosts my Sabotage an extra 6% which can be clutch at getting the hook down before I get hit.
oh okay if you’re looking for speed boost to sabo Leader(Dwight perk) is way better than spine chill imo.

For real though, the Pig buffs sound like they'll add a little needed boost to Pig's ability to shave seconds off of stealthing, and make her ambush connect a little more often. The Pigpen will be abuzz... with roars and stuff :)

Friend, I'm casual enough to not care about how often I win or lose on either side. Nobody's bringing stuff like party starters and the fog vials to play optimally. The fun of those rounds is to see what you get away with, not win. It's no different than bringing a flashlight instead.
off the top of my head:
Sandbag Olympics
The blendettes that got helped get distortion nerfed because they were hiding and not doing gens memeing.
flashbang locker buildsStevegull
The amount of people that won’t touch gens and stand around just waiting on saves
All the bards
Last minute switching characters just to match the rest of the group theme in lobby.

Yeah, the good plays are worth it but I know the feeling of possibly throwing. I don't take it so seriously though and dropping a hook in front of the Killer carrying your mate feels soooo good!
They usually drop them and chase me, lol. Definitely fun!
Yeah but the thing is when they’ve played killer for a while they will only chase you until the hook respawns so either A the whole team has to get involved now to get the person up and hope it doesn’t snowball, or B they chase you around usually till the hook respawns and then hook the person anyways because most likely you’re down a health state at this point.
It is fun though, but the snowball potential on this really is just great. Sabo to me feels super underwhelming, but I understand why it has to be that way.

I mean when it works it’s amazing but when it doesn’t you cost the team the game because you are another person not on a gen. 5/10
