that’s not true, she obviously cares what you have to say. So much so that she’ll change her hair and clothes for you. Your opinion carries great weight. All you gotta do is give the girl flowers. Is that too much to ask?

I went another night without seeing him once, so it's probably 100+ matches now, but I dont have my notes with me. The matchmaking just isn't throwing me a lot of Ghouls. Currently my survivor matches are pretty varied. Still a fair amount of Springtraps but that like every 10-15 games so that fine. I get a fair amount of Pyramid Heads and Nemesises.
I still see them fairly consistently but I’ve only seen a handful pyramid heads since the update. Surprisingly I’ve seen more knights.

The last time I faced a Kaneki was 92 games ago. He doesn't pop up enough for me anymore to have strong feelings. And a good chunk of his users are bad at the game and chose him cause they thought he'd be easy. I usually do okay against him for this reason, as long as my team aren't a bunch of potatoes.
I saw like 3 ghouls yesterday back to back and 2 nurses(one was a backpack nurse lol). A couple of clowns, a pin head, sadako, couple of sprintraps, and nemesis.

That is actually a great idea , because I struggle to decide which perks to choose.
I will do this A-Z perks thing right now :D
you’re going to love it promis3!
-
I think for me I just like to use perks and builds that have a goal in mind. Like a “game plan” and try to find a way to get use out of the perks by playing into that mindset. For me it shakes things up. Like a healer, hit taker, stealth, all seeing eye builds. Or perks that just work really well together like if I want to minimize x happening in my games I’ll bring a build for it.
Recently I did an A-Z perks and just played all the perks alphabetically until I reached the end, and that was fun. Doing adept achievements where you’re not allowed to move on from that character until you escape with only their three perks. Those are just things I do. Just try your best and try to use the perks you pick. Idk if it’s the answer you’re looking for, but it’s what keeps me from falling into perk ruts.
Best of luck, and pick up killer from time to time to see what other people are doing that works and bring that back to survivor. Plus playing killer helps you see what they see and figure out how to play around them.

You may have something!
Now I'm totally nerding out - imagine Tryks hovering with full directional control, she can levitate high and blink (teleport). Imagine survivor stands on the roof, of the Garden of Joy - Roots of Dread map (white house) and Tryks below. Her decoy (illusion) is seen entering the house, but the real Tryks blinks straight to the survivor, catching them off guard. This would somewhat mirror the doctor's maddness ability but her illusions (nod to sable) actually move to TRYK survivors.
That also sounds cool ngl.

That's interesting, her, as a survivor - though she'd probs get nerfed a bit. No flying, levitating or opening rifts (teleportation) like she does now. But I could still see her perks echoing her "Bag of Tryks" - like speed boots, aura reveals and something with totems/chest
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/VLSWD37CEZ9C/tryks-bag.jpg
She can levitate like nurse 🙏 it could be there in place of her run and walk animations. It would be such a sick thing to do as survivor that doesn’t change anything but visuals.

I'm always in on the conspiracy theories. It is fun to look more into the characters in an alternate way.
What if's, I mean.
And there is no denying that Tryks and Sable are very similar looking, in physical appearance. But all that aside, I really want Tryks as a survivor. I guess she would be my next P100 if that happened :D
would you immediately stop p100ing Feng and swap to Tryks if she dropped tomorrow?

They were buffed from the PTB lol. The base fog vial is better in every way than it was from the PTB. Only the iridescent addon got nerfed, and even then, that was only by 3% obscurity.
you can still see right through it if you’re in chase. Played killer yesterday against some people using it, and laughed at how easy it was to play in.
My friend said the same thing when the roles were switched “you can see right through it” ( and I was using the sap +extract)
From killer perspective now that I’ve tested it from the opposite side they seem really underwhelming and almost useless. I was expecting so much worse after reading the forums. It left me really confused what all the fuss is about. I’ve driven through much worse fog in the morning on my way to work. -
nah pig can stay as long as chase mechanics are broken with the smoke bombs. I just hope they’re throwing all the data out the window because of it during this period.
-
I like the following combos:
sap + extract
Compound + formula
I’ll probably run stone + whatever since it’s just a cooldown on the timer.

It also to straight up delete some killer perks. Beginning of match, immediately toss the vial. You're completely immune to lethal pusuer. Now that killer has 3 perks for the rest of the match and got zero value out of the trade off. Now that all survivors spawn next to each other, this can protect ALL survivors if they stay in the fog at the beginning.
The vial also makes you permanently immune to BBQ and chili, since all you have to do is drop the vial just before someone is hooked. Now you can slam out that gen with absolutely no worries while the killer runs straight to any other survivor after someone gets hooked. This has the same issue that distortion had - it just causes the killer to focus on everyone else but you all game.
while I do think there should be a set amount of charges, come on let’s be reasonable there’s a giant smoke screen that visually appears announcing where they are. At most it’s something you play around that’s a little annoying. Might as well hang a giant sign above your head that says I’m in this area. Comparing it to distortion just because they both block aura is like comparing haunted grounds to friends till the end just because both make you exposed. Also it covers everyone in it.

Why shouldn't it start chase? Survivors should be immune to entity blocking windows, and immune to killers gaining bloodlust, for the entire time a fog cloud is up?
that’s not what I’m saying, or implying. If you are obviously chasing them in the fog those things should apply yes.
-

It already blocks auras. So allowing the killer to hear survivor noises would
1] Fog vials blocking auras is fine. But blocking survivor audio is too much
3] It's literally messing up chases right now, to the point where they won't start. It's also messing up some killer powers, even if the killer can plainly see the survivor in the fog. And this has to be a bug, because some killer powers are allowed to "see" through the fog, and some aren't.
4] The fog vials shouldn't stack with any other fog effect.
- I agree to the terms and conditions, they can bring perks to suppress noises. Suppressing aura and scratchies is very strong in itself and makes sense for the item. Noises not so much.
3. If you’re in chase already it shouldn’t affect chase if they drop it mid chase and you’re still on them. If you’re not already in chase it shouldn’t start chase, unless you’ve smacked em at least once in it. If your both out of of the fog it should obviously start chase. I’m hearing mixed things. I agree it should be looked into regardless.
4. fair enough, it’s already strong on its’ own. -

- I think they shouldn't block any audio.
- The iri addon still blocks too much visually
- Survivors in a fog cloud should still be considered "in line of sight"
- The fog effect should stack with a map's natural fog effect
- It should either block audio or aura you choose(I think aura makes more sense and would rather lose the noises) #makeyourchoice, but either way 2-3 charges flat for the item.2 for aura blocking, 3 if it’s noise
- It can be toned down a little.
- no, it’s a smoke bomb your visually impaired, outside of it yes.
- Like natural or like with offerings?

I was under the assumption it was just a smoke bomb, so I missed the detail on the aura as well.
Wiki link:thanks so much I haven’t had a chance to sit and read through, just play for a few hours, sleep, and work. I had people waiting on me when I got on yesterday so I haven’t got the chance to read through everything and was just winging it in trial. All of that to say thanks for the link.

Yes! They remove aura reading, scratchmarks, and survivor noises.
But they don't remove killer noises! Survivors can hear killers, but killers can't hear survivors!!!
I knew it covered noises and scratch marks, aura too is probably a bit much. I feel like -maybe-IF the killer brings aura perks the smoke bombs shouldn’t interfere with that. Thank you for the answer. I haven’t had the chance to experience it from the killer side yet.
What do you think?
-
they were probably thinking the community is fine with haste stacking, since they tried to implement no haste stacking and everyone said no to that. “you’re limiting build creativity “ I think was the most common reason. Anyways cheers BHVR touché.

Because survivors already have multiple tools to extend chases, Fog Vials just make things harder for killers without offering any real compensation or counterplay.

While technically not a plant, we do have fungus, unless you want to count the bark-like skin the fungus is on (since it would be more like vines or tree bark, which does involve plants). Skin is for Dredge. Mycelium Nightmare, Deep Rift Level 3.

This is more plant like, based on the forest deity Leshi. Their skin is based of bark and moss. Skin is for Artist. The Leshen, collaboration skin with The Witcher.

The Hag…. that's it… that's all I have to say. They have the most plant-like skins in the game. Skin is for Hag (as I just mentioned). Fetid Bloom, it's in the store.
It’s not the same, they don’t have plant power. I do like the skins though, but it’s not the same. I’m talking plant based power😍

sure..
But just to clarify one more time:
I totally agree with you that SWF gives a huge advantage and definitely makes a difference. But I refuse to accept that SoloQ is inherently in such a bad state becuse of this— I’ve had way too many good SoloQ games as a survivor and seen plenty of strong SoloQ teams as a killer to believe that. Most of the time, it just comes down to the players themselves. DBD isn’t like it used to be anymore. One single player can be enough to drag the whole team down.
At the end of the day, it’s not about the mode you play but how well you adapt to the chaos. (it needs much more game sense for sure)
But from my POV (killer or surv), solo queue is still totally winnable.
I’m not saying soloQ is totally unwinnable. I’m not saying not having comms is the sole reason soloQ can be very bad. I’m not saying that you can’t have good games as soloQ.
You’re right one person can’t carry the team, and one person making quick saves can mess it up doesn’t matter if they chased you the whole time and applied pressure nowhere else, I bet if they were on comms though someone could say “hey don’t go for the save yet the killer is 10ft away and they already tunneled once, let’s not risk it” and course correct. -

Full SoloQ lobby. People actually did their objectives instead of “just doing whatever.”
The David even wasted a bit of time — sorry, but you can’t change what’s happening here with Marigold. You can’t block me. I’m not half-committed. I need your girl. Do it like the rest of your team — run gens and just accept it.-Then it probably would’ve been a 3-man out. That flashy save at the start? Way too costly for me.
But y, everyone on the team just did their job. Makes it really tough as killer. (Y, I know my perk build was kinda meme against an efficient group, that one’s on me.)In the average soloQ games that go bad, people just aren’t efficient and don’t realize that time is one of their most valuable resources.
You don’t need a SWF for that. That’s it.
(SWF would only add some organized “down in pallet” moments or maybe a Shoulder of Burden on top.)
But does that make SoloQ unwinnable? Nah. ok. Maybe for this marigold.. xD (i know, sucks when the killer actually gets 1 kill)
I’m going to just let this go, I still stand on my opinion, your video changes nothing for me as far as how I see the game.
Well just have to agree to disagree. -

Why do you even care?
I stopped listening ages ago. It’s always funny how the ones playing the worst are the loudest about how you should play. The worse they play, the more they talk. And at that point, you’re not the teammate anymore — you’re the killer. And you’re on your own. Of course the other side only expects things from you that help them win.
From a killer’s perspective, it becomes pretty clear why SoloQ is often just straight-up frustrating.
And here’s a little secret: lack of communication usually isn’t the biggest problem in SoloQ.
There's...no winning in soloQ
No winning in SoloQ? Y, for a lot of people. Because they refuse to even fight.
nah there’s a big performance difference usually between comms and no comms the more people you add to the equation. There’s literal data to back that up. It’s not really debatable.
you can be like don’t do that gen, im here , im taking the killer away, let me hang they’re proxy, killer has this& what’s that do & you counter it by doing x, and all that adds up for counterplay and real time training with feedback, you can’t get that anywhere but comms consistently, time is the most valuable resource in this game and comms helps with timing and real time correction so a big misplay doesn’t happen as much.Ofc you see the randomness and bad plays play out as killer, but you understand it as survivor if you play everything from soloQ to 4man.

The only time I give up is when the situation is truly impossible (like Bubba's basement).
