I was wondering this myself, I would like to make survivors drop it because kicking the canister gives like 2500 points
I mean I can start filling some up a little bit and then just putting them down for you guys if that helps.

I would start balancing the game around "no perks", and in the process remove virtually all of them. What I hate the most about this game is perks used as band-aids or mandatory perks.
Why? Also what perks do you feel like are mandatory?

Im kinda fine not getting much. I'm curious to test out gens that are immune to generator perks, I'm adapting my builds to rise to this challenge.
These events change how survivors play, sometimes I find it interesting to observe how the local wildlife will respond to the new stimuli.
Events like these are a good excuse to horse around. In fact, I think tonight is a "Count Barkula " night
I hope I get matched with you. I made a Dracula some food the other day on haddonfield. I’ll meme with you. This game doesn’t always have to be super serious.

I personally don’t find the sniping that big of a deal considering it all goes to a community pool anyways to be shared. So on my end I feel like I do get that back, even if it isn’t an instant return. Please whatever it takes, get that gen done. I’m probably an anomaly.

Thank you 🙏

I think this game has to be incredibly hard to balance and make decisions as an asym, a PvP one at that. I think they try things and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t. I think they care, I like the effort they put in. I appreciate the things they do. The game has came a long way but there is still work to be done.
-
I don’t think anyone has wrong opinions for the most part on either side, I think the full truth comes when it’s all pieced together. I think you can “kit up” on either side but it will only carry you so far unless you have tons of knowledge on everything else. Theres stuff you can use, There’s skill, and game sense.

Plus, Otz latest video has introduced everyone to the potential of Coup De Grâce on Ghoul which makes even more loops redundant. In other words, people REALLY tried to hit back with MFT and thought it was working, and it did. Then we all ended up back where we started with now even fewer options available. I love the Ghoul, I love playing him but overtuned is the perfect word to describe him.
Balanced landing, vigil/calm spirit/lightweight , detectives hunch/small game, fixated/iron will. 😇
Then send the ghouls somewhere with a lot of drops.

I’ve seen a lot of posts and comments recently and im wondering if the community challenge for the Bp multiplier is for all Bp score events or only for blood moon related. I know the offering is blood moon score events but what about the multiplier the community is working towards?
I’m pouring blood in blood gens, and that seems to be working.
COMMUNITY COLLECTIVE TRACKERThis year’s Blood Moon Event will once again feature a Collective Track called the Blood Seeker, which the entire community can progress together. Survivors progress the Track by repairing Blood Generators, while Killers progress the Track by damaging Blood Generators.
As the Track progresses, players will hit up to five thresholds, with each one granting a global Bloodpoint multiplier. Progress will also be reflected in the evolving lobby screen, plunging you deeper into the sanguine nightmare.
Once the fifth threshold is reached, and the Blood Moon’s influence reaches its apex, players will receive a staggering 500% multiplier. Did we mention this was a great time to earn Bloodpoints?

Could have snowballed so fast.🤦♀️ yeah though yeah. It’s rough out here. They do really wild things sometimes that could cost the game really early if killers didn’t have any grace.

idk which one of you nurse mains wrecked me on borgo so quickly it made my head spin but I’ll be back, I’m coming for you! I didn’t watch hours and hours on end of Ardetha to understand you guys to go down like this. You might of won the battle but this war is not over.

Well when I play Kaneki against it, I had a very hard time chasing anyone with MFT at loop. Every time they greed the pallet by not dropping it, it adds another two circles to the loop. If they drop it, even if you vault the pallet, they can still make it around the loop with that speed.
Not to mention the speed boost allows them to reach another loop faster.
So I wouldn't say it's not impactful. If it does, no one will bring it, and MFT won't be nerfed in the first place. Speed boost is just good regardless what killer you're up against.
Btw just from the matches I play, I think I lost more games than I won with Kaneki. Maybe I'm just bad, but I had better success with all other killers than Kaneki at the moment.
It’s okay, me too.

Who are you to defy the mighty nurse and you dont care about the gens you just need to down that one Super survivor and i think that is also better than winning as you learn a bit more about yourself and your character and them.

It happened so fast.. I think I slugged everyone like in 1 minute.
Sable was on hook across the map, and I just downed Claudette on the other side. Then when I carry her to hook, Kate's really cocky and keeps running around me, and decided to trade hook with Claudette… When I have 8 stacks of STBFL LOL.
So i downed them both, then I teleported to where Sable was hooked, and Meg was just running to save her. So I quickly down Meg, chase Sable and the game's over LOL.
big mistakes on their side still , terrible play. Kate shouldn’t have been testing you and tried to do literally anything else.

No these aren't bots, they quitted the moment I down them both :(
This Surrender System is so flawed
it’s okay, I don’t mind the bots when they opt out. It’s better than the go nexters that hard doom everyone. They’re a mixed bag(the bots), but at least they’re in match doing things and not quitting on their teammates. So much better than before when killers and survivors were just boofed because someone didn’t want to play or had to go, and that weird situation it created.

The Tokyo Ghoul chapter is so divided for two reasons. The first being desensitized horror gatekeepers who don't see it as horror despite never watching the show or reading the Manga. Realistically 90% of possible chapter choices are never going to meet their standards because they're stuck glued to the 80s and 90s horror classics.
The second reason is bias towards anime in general. People see anime and think cringe and weird because that's how it's always been. As a result they just lump it all together because they don't understand it even a little bit. It's like putting every single sport together and judging it as a singular thing. Same with movies, books, music and just about everything else. Asking when Naruto is coming to the game is the equivalent of asking when Power Rangers is coming to the game.
hey ease up on Naruto, it is scary! you try starring down the barrel of infinite tsukuyomi. The fate of the world is a serious issue, and horrifying. Naruto not scary?! Also hello shark killer:

Yep - anyone who says 'I don't get the big deal about this killer/he is bad' has only gone against Ghouls that are new to killer or new to this killer/trying some challenge. A high MMR Ghoul who wants to win is very difficult to beat even with full counter builds and SWF. The frustrating thing after the free hit, is even if you can make it to a loop, the killer is able to use their power to lose collision with the survivor and block window/pallets before you can really do anything. Additionally, you can't really body block against this killer which kind of sucks when they choose to tunnel and you are trying to play altruistically. Don't get me wrong - I love that they added another high mobility killer and he seems insanely fun, but he does need slightly longer cooldowns and perhaps punishment for 'missing' such as Wesker (like others have said). I have also seen the killer not get stunned by pallet drop because he was mid animation - this cancelled animation and let him insta-hit someone (with confirmed no perks or add-ons to reduce stun duration). Great idea to shake up meta plays, but definitely needs some adjustments to make him fun for both sides.
That’s rough. Thank you for sharing. Yeah grows stale after a while 🥱. I’m feeling very calm spirit and small game today. Is that weird? I mean those perks suck! Sorry I was deviating from then normal survivor programming, must be a glitch.

Not so bad actually I'm not seeinf what other survivors are seeinf but that could just be ny matches personally I see no difference as it were to be for legion or wesker
If you lowered your mmr you would be absolutely shocked at the amount of people that will not take body blocks, and let someone die even when they have no hooks, when they’re not on gens. Night and day teamplay difference and night and day results. Results vary widely depending on team play and personal play. Idk how’s he’s doing at the very top(against skilled 4mans) but in the rainbow -middle to center high - it’s boiling down to teamwork how it goes. Good luck out there in the fog!

I still have no idea why they made it so that you have to fully heal and be tapped as a heal to make Clean Break go off.
Such a weak perk due to this. Being healed in 60 seconds is god awful as well, other than saving time from another survivor healing you. I'd never use the perk as a result.
Yeah I got hit with clean break a lot during chaos shuffle, and it was nothing to write home about. I understand the idea behind it but wooooweee the juice is not worth the squeeze on this perk. Every time I got clean break in chaos shuffle I was like
And lemme tell you something I tried everything under the sun to make this perk “feel good”

lol It could be me. I was running a scream Pig build because I recommended the build to someone else here not long ago, so I ran a few matches with it.
If you were in that match, I have to say I can't remember if the fourth survivor seemed annoying, or if the second to last seemed to have some shorter chases than the last standing survivor. Sometimes if one survivor has shorter chases than others, I want to make sure they had a good experience and give hatch for that reason. Whatever was the case, I definitely went looking, hoping to let that survivor get hatch :)
ah it wasn’t me. I hardly ever see pig, but when I do I usually break their ankles for a bit(that’s not a brag, I’m just saying the character pig is not hard to loop). It’s how I know that lunge turning radius needs to be more flexible to give them some tighter turns.
Idk who’s training these pig mains-jk yes I do- shout out to that legend Tokki! You’re doing a really good job because on my end I can see where your weakest point in chase is, it’s the power turning radius of the lunge or speed from release, it’s not flexible or fast enough for tighter turns to get good survivors /close distance from the audio cue we get.
I feel like they’re almost never going to be able to catch good survivors with that dash turning radius and release speed of the dash. Pig is already a slower stealth killer, no need for the dash to be that weak. The audio cue the moment you hear it, you have time to usually make it to another loop when they’re trying to use their power. They’ll never catch up. Idk it “feels like” there’s too much time between the cue and where you can make it- most of the time-and how close in you can turn seems wide enough but not narrow enough. So it probably needs to be allowed to also be tighter or faster when they use their power. Add-ons or base kit I would say from my perspective, pig is nowhere near op, but something should be done here.
How do you feel using her power against good survivors? -sorry I know it’s getting off topic, just chatting with a friend- Because on my end that’s what it feels like is the problem with pig. Maybe it’s because I’ve gone against this killer so much over the years that she was getting straight bullied when I survived with friends to the point the traps were a joke and way too forgiving when you’re paying attention, and she has to work so hard to catch you in chase.
When I solo or duo she’s not doing so hot against good survivors, and I wouldn’t say that’s a skill issue on the killer end because it’s such a common theme. I’m not saying I’m the best looper in the world(I’m absolutely not, I’m mid), this killer can be ran without exhaustion though, and survivors almost always have exhaustion.I’m saying it’s that easy when you guys are trying to play serious and not memeing around with people, or taking half chases from unhooks. Honestly I’m surprised pigs don’t really tunnel more because if there’s one killer that has a reason to because of power weakness it’s her. Even when she tries to tunnel against good survivors it’s weak. On my end, I miss the buff they gave ya’ll when some random killer wasn’t being a box troll because it felt a lot more fair, because in my eyes you needed it. You really did. Otherwise you’re stuck at the bottom with no real chances. Makes me sad tbh.
Anyways-circling back-, that’s sweet of you and I’m sure they appreciate that when you’re doing those kinds of things because being an average/new survivor rn is rough-gestures at the outcries-, slope really slopes, at a certain point you have to switch to defense and offense mentality as survivor though. People need to learn that because the higher you go the less forgiving everything gets on both sides, you gotta know your stuff.
There’s a time and place for everything if you want to get out those gates. It’s war up there, and you have to be able to switch up your game or there’s no shot. Not a single chance. Every time you go down and things turn south, you have to ask yourself, what could I have done better to improve this situation?Might as well give killers a foam bat if everyone gets nerfed to that level of play, because the killer role will be a joke to go against at my level of play. The amount of people I saw not practicing their army crawls coming through, or trying to heal under hook when the higher you go they come back, it was very concerning, and straight up don’t understand how to counter killer powers, or punish tunneling/camping. I’m keeping myself at a bubble rn too and I’m seeing it depending on which way the bubble goes. I’m dying for the team mistakes to keep me there. -sometimes I make mistakes too, I’m not perfect- I’m dying for big ones though on their behalf, for personal research purposes, and to also make sure they’re having a better time, and hopefully they pick up a skill from being on a team with me.
When I get matched with people holding their own though and making good calls, it’s eye opening. Very eye opening at the difference in team performance-on the team side-. Are you seeing it too, or are they truly trying their best against you with some minor mistakes? They don’t have to be loop gods, but they should know the basics before any slight against pig happens. Honestly she needs some buffs to compete at higher levels. In the mean time, if they’re being really annoying on purpose beat em up, because honestly what are a lot of them doing it’s game costing at higher levels above where they are, and they shouldn’t get gates for those rookie mistakes.
Thank you for being a good sport, on their behalf. I think you deserve good things.
Sorry for the masters thesis on dbd. I kinda just pour all my thoughts on something into one comment sometimes directed at feedback, audience, and including reply to commenter. Love you mean it friend, because you’re out here struggling in the loop streets, and being a good sport about it. I see you.

That's true. I actually didn't use my brain enough because I realized afterward that they brought a hatch offering. But the slug bled out while the person on hook was trying to fail the skill checks. After the match, I realized the slug was almost certainly at the other side of shack, which was the direction I saw her crawling in. If I had realized, I definitely had enough time to get there. So I could have just used my brain a little...
Alls good they were probably just practicing their recovery crawls, some people don’t like to give up they try as long as they can, and that’s okay. Probably a stubborn Capricorn or something that thinks they still had a chance at gate and trusts their teammate will get them up if they can because team work makes the dream work. Why do I feel like this just happened to me not too long ago, because my duo buddy was running a hatch offering and a very similar situation played out. Coincidence or fate? What killer were you playing?

I'm sorry, but this is pretty classic whataboutism. It doesn't address the point at all. Comparing one frustrating experience to another doesn't solve either, and also invalidates someone's frustrations. If someone told me they broke their arm, I wouldn't tell them— at least they didn't break two arms—to try and make them feel grateful(?) that they broke one arm.
I hear you , but their point is that it doesn’t matter who a lot of these people are facing they are still dying and asking to nerf killer instead of work on their teamwork and decision making skills. Which I think is fair, being as I’m on the team side of this game and know what good teamwork looks like and what it doesn’t. There’s a lot of boofs going on within survivor that are self inflicted.

Thats the issue, you can't do that. For example for any survivor player that is actually good at the game a lot of killers are legit a joke, but for the people in pubs they are strong. Take vecna as a example, to any good olayer vecna id objectively dogwater, but the average player may even say he is strong, how do you change vecna to be more competitive while helping bad players who struggle against him.
Another example would be oni, the recent flick changes have a lot if people complaining he no longer has counterplay, and in comp where any oni player has to know how to flick, oni can still get 4 outed, why? Because people delay the first hit and know how to handle positioning, so in order to make the bad players suffering because they are getting hit by flicks how do you change oni while keeping him decent for good players.
Mind you I think balancing should take into account good players, the issue is unlike any game I have ever played, the gap between the average player in dbd and a good player might as well be entire pacific ocean.
lefts take nerfing killers off the table. What is something that you think can be done to help them? I say improve UI hud functions. So it feels more swf even when you’re not swf. Then you don’t have this huge slope to balance around and a more medium data that doesn’t stretch from Everest to the Mariana’s trench to make decisions off of. The communication barrier is the difference a large majority of the time, and then skill. Okay people don’t want voice comms, how do you work around that? The huds and UI. Do you think that would help? What’s your take? Sorry I know that’s a lot of questions, but I hear you. Is there anything you can think of?

@smurf said:
Yeah, I'll agree with this. From the killer perspective, if I down the second to last survivor, and leave them on the ground, it just seems like me telling them "Wait here and do nothing while I go do stuff to your teammate." It's super rude. And as survivor, it's so annoying to have to wait so long just so the killer gets a few more blood points. At that point the killer has already won, so there's no need to do it. And if someone wants an adept, then they should just go actually earn it instead of using a cheap exploit to do it. From both perspectives, I see slugging for 4k as cheap and rude.
I have to admit though that last week I had a match where I wanted to give hatch to the third survivor, but their teammate had been very annoying, so I downed the third and went after the fourth. Once the fourth was on-hook, I went to go pick up the third so they could wiggle off. I searched frantically and couldn't find them. I felt bad because I forced the third survivor to wait while I did that, and then I ended up with an undeserved 4k :(
I don’t like the environment it creates so for that reason alone I don’t like hatch. I prefer to figure it out with the killer most times if they’re going to kill me or let me have it. You do deserve the 4k though, because survivor is the team side and the team lost. Don’t ever feel like you don’t deserve it because you do. You played really well.
Sometimes I crawl away because you never know what’s going to happen like if the survivor is going to lose line of sight or they’ll be able to get you before the killer finds them, and it’s better chances than being where the killer remembers they left you, and maybe hatch will spawn near you.
Even if I bleed out because I crawled off I’m never like oh man that dirty killer left me down, it’s more like welp that didn’t work out. I know full well crawling off is my highest chance for survival; and I’ll pick it every time. Don’t blame yourself for other people’s decisions. As a survivor I’m glad they’re crawling away because you should never stay exactly where the killer left you, killers watch that area. It makes things harder for the team when people do that. Sure sometimes they take a chase too long and you could have recovered by then, but if killers start slugging I’m crawling. If you find me and want to figure it out that’s cool, if you kill me that’s also cool.
TLDR it’s cool, don’t beat yourself up about it friend.

I mean, for it to be super beneficial, everyone would need to sit on seperate gens and the chased survivors should be chased the entire time. You can literally counter the perk by walking backwards towards them, or by mindgaming them once early in chase. The cooldown once they get hit is 60 seconds. Most hits happen within the first 15 seconds of chase and 5% really isnt much.
As an example, a 90 second gen with 5% would take 86 seconds if uninterrupted. A single generator kick, no other perks applied, adds 4.5 seconds.
So, lets assume you get in chase with someone who has quick gambit, but they dont know where their teammates are and pass all their gens. You, due to their looping angles, are capable to kick all gens at least once without losing any significant distance.
Congrats, now Quick Gambit literally has had 0 impact if you end up chasing the same survivor for the full 90 second duration without hitting them.
It's really not that impactful. You often need 2-3 gen progression perks if you want to counter the impact of 1 killer regression perk. You would need the best 16 generator progression perks + commodius toolboxes to counter the strongest 4 killer slowdown meta perks.
Quick Gambit is considered a bottom half perk. It doesnt need a buff, it's fine at what it does, but it is far from a good perk.ah okay thank you for breaking it down for me. If that’s the case yeah no need to touch it or any survivor gen stuff since it takes all that to counter full regression. Didn’t even realize that’s how powerful full gen regression is. Like I knew it was good, but I didn’t realize it was THAT good in comparison.

If the average player is frustrated with a balance catering to them what do you expect they would be when balancing caters to players that are actually good? Like idk if you know but dbd is a bussiness and catering to a tiny % which are the actual good players is NOT a good bussiness descision.
you buff the side suffering while still accounting for everyone else that isn’t new or average. Y’all can have buffs but it’s no excuse to nerf everything to the ground and make this game so simplistic that it loses it’s appeal after 5 hours. People shouldn’t be punished because they are good, sometimes you just gotta pay your dues. This game is complex and takes time to learn because there’s so much to learn. Give the people with no investments, little investments, or just chilling something to work with. I used to sound just like the majority when I first started playing, and it was arguably survivor sided then. Think about that, my opinions have changed drastically. Should you be punished once you learn? Yes there’s still work to be done, but things take time. I can’t wait to see what pops up once they introduce anti-tunnel and now survivors have to learn tiles, the difference is good players know tiles, know how to counter killers, know how to break tunneling, and know how to not three gen themselves. You don’t start out god of war as the god of war, you become the god of war.
-
no real nerfs, why? Bc someone has to check these kitted out 4mans.
I do have a buff list if I HAVE TO PICK ONLY THREE:
Hag - teleport time, and maybe a little something in ms. As far as add ons you’ll have to consult the mains.
Trapper- idk something with the traps to add variety or basekit amount , again anything else consult with them.
Pig- that lunge needs a little work in turning radius , and again with anything else consult with them
These are just things I think from the survivor perspective from my chase times and tile playing with them overall , and could use some love because some survivor reason, I will not elaborate.
Let em up, they’re good sports and I enjoy my games with them. They try really hard not to tunnel or play wickedly most of the time, they mostly try not to bully the weaker parts of the survivor role. I feel good to put a confident vote in them first, and don’t feel like I would regret backing them up.
Edited to say I’m not shaming tunneling, I’m just saying it’s easier to tell what needs work when they aren’t constantly taking half chases because they’re playing tiles more. So it’s easier to tell where they feel weaker on my end because I have more interaction.

nerfed? It’s not a problem. The survivors just want OG MFT back. Others are just mad they can’t 4k every single game and don’t like the taste of their own medicine, when they’re done bullying solo q and people below their brackets. Survivors just like og mft more than its current iteration, even if the current iteration isn’t bad. Again needed evil.

It’s okay, I’ve got you. You’re fine. Watch, take notes. Your fun is important too, just grab the flashbang when they’re hard tunneling me when you hear me scream “Leon help!”Don’t abuse it though to the point they’re getting no hooks just because you can. That’s how stuff gets nerfed. I’m here to negotiate, just grab the flashbang so we aren’t all dying at three gens to some super oppressive build and kitted to the 9’s killer. There are busted things all over the place, they think they want those gone, but they don’t because that’s a big price tag, and I will be seeking compensation that no bp buff can cover. I’ll be coming for blight, so yeah they should just buff the killers it affects the most with some kind of built in healing slow down to keep the gremlins in check.

There are anti heal builds out there that make healing take pivotal time away in already straining situations, in my opinion they are a necessary evil. Not to mention if they hit you before the countdown is over it’s just lost like you never had it all. If they’re wasting it on some lower tier killer not packing much. Is there any specific killers suffering greatly against this? If so give those killers an anti heal addon or built in thana if it’s happening that often.

Would you rather have the Aura Reading perks as they are now (Lethal, BBQ, Nowhere to Hide, ect) or would you rather a buff to Gen regression perks?
When playing Survivor, I personally wish there was less Aura reading and if I recall correctly, many Killers began using them once Gen regression perks were nerfed..?
If Killers want more slowdown, I don't see a problem with that. It's just slowdown of completing gens. I find that significantly better than glowing in the dark all the time.
I do play more Killer these days but the only slowdown I use is Corrupt Intervention, especially if I'm Myers or Ghost Face. I have started using Eruption as well because I like to kick generators but I never stick with it.
What were the best gen regression perks and their values as compared to today?
I'd like to hear from all players, on both sides please and thank you.
idc what they pick as long as it’s not something like OG ruin because I get stuck with absolute gremlins sometimes that can’t hit greats that reduced it to 0. Not the perks fault, it is survivor reflex/knowledge issue, but because of that I don’t want more things that encourage selfish survivor behavior because no gens get done. I’m fine with stealth because at least they are doing things, but actively nerfing your team into the ground whether it be spite or skill issue make me want to tear my hair out, especially when I’m giving lives to make sure they can stay in longer, because someone is trying to bully them when it’s really not necessary in a decent amount of cases. That slope really slopes sometimes.

As a rebuttal, if you like to chase the good survivor to get better, having a perk like this would actually be recommended. You dont wanna be stuck chasing 1 survivor for 8 minutes, and if you do good, you actually get rewarded.
Chasing the good survivor to get better is basically already somewhat giving up on winning the game. Its an exchange. You cant expect to knowingly make a mistake and not get "punished" for it.true, I agree, and I imagine you’re exactly right if they are cognizant and choosing their fate. Counter point, Possibly if survivors get too crafty good killers are suffering though, maybe throw an obsession condition on it if that happens that rewards killer more and makes doing things like that riskier on the survivor side so they aren’t beating the brakes off people like myers ?
