Yes please! Bardic is the only good perk from Aestri.
Their illusionary perk does not fool anyone twice. It needs to look more convincing.
This post is 100% correct and you should get more information for standing still for such a long time. Wasting time for information is acceptable to me. I think similar ideas could be implemented for WOO and Deja Vu to put these perks at a similar balance to Visionary and Alert and bring the perk pool in closer alignment.
hands off woo and Deja vu. Stop it.

ohh I’ll have to try that, thank you friend 🫶 because that might actually give it the legs I feel like it’s missing that makes me go meh.

it’s okay OoO is better and really leaves no desire to bring this one over it imo. I found it kind of lackluster. Not bad, but not awesome either. It’s like okay, idc if it stays the same or changes. I feel pretty indifferent about it.

I knew the speed add-ons were best! I play a lot of him. You could probably call him my main right now, although I mostly bounce between him, Unknown, and Xenomorph. I try out several add-ons. Marvin's Blood, Mikael's Eye, Licker Tongue, the ink ribbons, the wristbands, etc. Just not the ones that are redundant like Zombie Heart, or the stupid ones like Combat Manual.
It seems that there are some spots where the zombies repeatedly go to to get stuck, no matter how many times you kill them. That's a real problem. And I wonder if they've patched out the survivor exploit where you go from in front of them to behind them really quick, and they instantly lose you. His zombies are just a mess. But when they work, they're pretty fun.
do you have a friend you can test that with in kyf to see if it’s patched?

oooh I see! Oh wow that’s actually a great idea! 😄 Amazing
thanks! I mean I’m open to them toying with some angles so killers can see their skins more. I hate when i buy or get skins in a game(looking at you Diablo) but can’t really appreciate them bc of camera angles or pov. I think there’s some wiggle room without just giving away everything considering zoom or even adding a blurred effect to surroundings when it happens.
-
I try lol 😂 my art appreciation is better than my art though. But I think either example could work without giving too much information away. Could also make for some nice photo bombs.
-
so like starting bottom right angle vertical, move to mid axis right, then move to y mid angle down for a nice face and mid pov, then move to left xy over shoulder to finish back at starting point. Am I making sense to an quadratic equation modelers?

I like the idea but I think even the limited FOV during these actions is intentional. There’s been many times a Killer missed me hiding next to the gen because it blocks their line of sight in a specific way. I think having it 3rd person would maybe mess with that a little.
But I think understand the spirit of your suggestion; having more ways to appreciate Killer skins as the Killer.
They do have some pretty cool skins, I would want to see them more too if I spent the money on them. Maybe there’s something they can do there without having to rework a bunch of stuff. Something like this maybe?
so like camera angled from ground pointing up in a 3rd person 360 spin pov for certain actions so they can see their cosmetics more? I want that bdsm huntress with her halo to see what an absolute angel they are ❤️ I imagine from this angle it would give less information while still allowing killers to see their self like some sort of bottom up third person \ angle hold on let me see if I can find a more visual reference.

yeah just take a break to do other things you enjoy, the game isn’t going anywhere. Be kind to yourself fellow human life is too short to be doing things you’re not enjoying.

I can't say these are characters I'll never play. However these are the characters I'm hesitant to play, and why.
The Hag: Easy counterplay, can get stomped by survivors who barely know what they're doing. Hag was my hardest to adept.
The Cannibal: Easily my least favorite killer. No skiller, horrible character design, atrocious sound design, lame source material.
The Deathslinger: Easy counterplay. Still somewhat fun at times but there's something that never feels quite right playing Caleb :/
The Twins: Disgusting character design (I know that's the point). Super easy killer to win with but not very satisfying to play as IMHO
The Trickster: When first released I was a "This doesn't fit into DBD" Andy. Maybe I still am to a certain degree… Souichi skin made Trickster a lot more palatable for me personally. How ever, he still feels little more than lackluster in most aspects.
The Singularity: Boring to chase with. Hate his power, it's seriously so lame imo.
Laurie Strode: Ugly
Ace Visconti: Ugly
David King: Ugly
Quentin Smith: Ugly
Detective Tapp: Ugly
Jonah Vasquez: Ugly
Haddie Kaur: Ugly
Vittorio Toscano: Ugly
Renato Lyra: Ugly
Gabriel Soma: Ugly
Baermar Uraz: Aestri is hotterIs that a lot?
Edit: I just have standards.lol you’re funny. Reading that made me giggle.

well, to be fair… Nurse has no realistic counterplay. If the player is on point and your in range, you get hit. No matter what you do. You can hope for auto-aim making her lunge into an object, but is that really counterplay?
BHVR already admitted, that against a nurse that is on point, there is not much you can do. Just run to a corner and try to go down their so that she wastes more time.
If shes not on point, then there is actually a lot you can do. I agree.
basically. If they’re intermediate at using her then you can counter her, but if they’re really good at reading it’s basically gg. Some of the survivors I get paired with can’t even counter intermediate level nurses, they drop like flies, and these aren’t even the best nurse players I’ve ever seen. So true not much you can do when they’ve mastered her, because they pick up patterns quick, and your best hope is being as unpredictable as possible.

To be quite frank, it’s very clear you haven’t played old DBD. Huge LOS and survivors were still much stronger back then vs now. Asking for more LOS breakers is literal insanity considering you went from 10-15 a map to well over 50-100+ a map. I can tell you dont play ranged killers.
I’ll humor you, What if I downloaded the game yesterday and played it for the first time ever, but I’ve played enough fps to know that speedier reloads/ quick draws make a huge difference and has in every single fps I’ve played that does that? Does that make my opinion as a consumer any less significant?
I’ll humor you again what if I’ve never touched a ranged killer even once, and I’m just thinking about the new survivors or solo experience because boosting that might help them at the top for ranged killers, but you’re also boosting the lower end ranged killers with that as well, making new/solo even worse and putting even more of the burden of experience on them. Would that be an unjust analytical observation?
If it helps you sleep at night here’s pretty much where I stand, and about how long I’ve been around.

I never play Leatherface. I mean, I have. But that was like 2019 or something stupid. I just can't stand bumping into something and then getting self-stunned, over and over. Especially* in a game where the killer's objective is to cut the loop more efficiently than the survivors, or else they never get caught. I get that that's kind of the skill in it, like with Hillbilly, learning how efficiently you can cut loops without bumping. But I just don't like that, in any killer. I do play some of them, like Demogorgon or Wesker, but their powers are a bit more lenient to hit.
I also really don't like Nurse. Don't like playing as her, don't like playing against her. You just have to guess where the survivors are going to be. If you're a card player, you can just dominate with her. If not, the survivors will ALWAYS be just a bit too far from your reach, or the game won't let you go through a single rock or something, as the survivors are running faster than you (great design! 👍). 🤦♀️
fascinating, what killers do you like playing as? That’s not sarcasm. It’s genuine curiosity.

More LOS breakers?! MORE?! I know you aren’t asking for my opinion but the vast majority of maps have quite literally 20x the amount of LOS breakers than it did 4 years ago.
Makes most ranged killers borderline unplayable. Slinger included.
also might as well kiss a lot of gen clusters that have to be broken goodbye on certain outdoor maps that are pretty much out in the open, because you will not have time to make it to a los breakers or any meaningful place to buy some time. In this solo economy for survivors? No shot, pun intended.

If want to just shoot fish in a barrel because that’s what buffing his reload and stuff will do just so it “feels better”, without adding more los breakers on certain maps *cough cold wind cough* * cough any corridor cough* sorry my allergies are acting up. I’m just allergic to some things. Anyways might as well just stand under a hook when you load in if they buff that and don’t look at some maps against some of the ranged killers. Yes MORE.

Most, if not all of his 2v8 buffs should go to live servers. His gun shoots too slow and takes far too long to reload.
Would you be okay if they buffed that but added more line of sight breakers to certain maps?

i know that, im talking about that awkward situation where you vault a pallet and the dog super zooms over the pallet and hits you no matter what you do. There used to be more counterplay to it but now there's hardly any chance to react on the survivor side.
agreed at times it does feel cheap and like there’s no counterplay too it. Just gotta be in the right spot at the right time or pray hitting a 90 degreee works.
-
you can dodge the dog but the answer isn’t running forward after the vault because once the dog vaults it’s only going to go straight at a high speed. You gotta dodge it. You’re trying to beat the dog at the dogs strength. I can like show you in kyf or something.
Edited to say: you can’t do what I’m talking about though without a window or a strong pallet next to a window. Lockers also work if you’re right beside them. I mean like right beside. -
@Jadelysta said:
The dogs vault speed needs toned down big time. It feels so bad getting a solid fast vault and it doesn't matter how much distance you get because the dogs vault speed is insane. Not even Finesse is good enough to counter it which is sad.
there’s a counter to the dog vault, running in a straight line isn’t it, they will get you every time doing that.

off topic but you were right about the murky reagent stacking on the crows map. It was in fact ironic.
-
as much as I love the idea, I think pallet rebuilding is best left to 2v8 and not in normal matches. Great idea in theory but I think it would be too strong in practice considering 4man stacking.

Twisty the Clown seems like a no-brainer.

The latex man and woman could maybe be Legion skins.

And of course Papa Legba. 🤩

I would just melt if Bhvr could work something out with Ryan Murphy and FX to at least bring a cosmetic pack to the game. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Dbd is a juggernaut in the world of horror and AHS absolutely deserves to be a part of it.
I think so too! Those would be so sick! There’s so much they could do with killers and survivors as far as a skins pack! Papa Legba would be sooo cool too! They could at least try for one of Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates. They’re Horror Icons, and cross me as people that would be cool with it.

-
how many huntress mains do you think there are in the dbd playerbase?
-
prestige is trivial at best imo. Time spent played holds more weight imo, and time spent played as for killer.
-
People are gonna slug and tunnel no matter what, I don’t buy the fear mongering anymore tbh. If the version they cooked up goes live and that happens I suspect it was premeditated anyways. Also nothing new, doesn’t really matter who the killer is if they wanna slug or tunnel that’s what they’re going to do. Survivors will adapt and get craftier so I hope you like gen rushes against better players that know how to combat that and play on comms because yeah once SM finishes eating up noobs off that strat the high mmr squads about to give them licks for that if you can’t compete else wise, and SM is not going to know what do and probably come here and ask for buffs because they can’t tunnel and slug everyone to death. I can’t wait for all the GF mains after that Hens video, they’re about to catch high mmr heat once they’re done eating up lower mmr because they’re about to get their ankles broken, bc GF isn’t S tier. So to that I say go ahead I guess? Have fun at the top and don’t neglect learning loops and mind games bc you’ll pay for it.
-
sometimes I think about a mode that combines all maps and once a match ends you move to the next realm.
Ie killer wins they spawn with another killer and their survivors left or if survivor wins they spawn in the next realm and add to the pool, last side left standing wins. Like a grid that just closes in on itself essentially and you can’t cross over until one sides objectives are complete.
-

Looping at its core I think is fun, and it’s also the main skill of survivor. But looping is somewhat RNG dependent, which can make it frustrating. It depends on tiles, maps, killers, resources etc. there’s just so many factors. You need more than just good looping skills, you also need good luck.
imagine you use the salt pouches for lucky pallet spawns instead. I would die dead if that became a META offering.
-
I will also take Nancy Thompson and Sidney Prescott.

What do you mean?
like figuring out how to counter killers and killer Strats vs just looping. Like how you play differently against different killers due to their powers. Ex myers requires different counterplay than singularity. Spirit has her own counterplay. Switching how you play at any given time vs Dracula depending on their form. Hellraiser box duty. I could go on and on in verbose detail but yeah, Anything that deviates from monkey chased the weasel all around the mulberry bush. That’s the most exciting part of the game for me, personally.
-
looping is okay, mostly I enjoy counterplay Strats
-
I think mmr and rank are separate, and well critical thinking will do the rest of this conversation.
-
for survivor anything that grants speed boosts for objectives ie leader , prove thyself , botany, we’ll make it etc.
for killer anything that regresses gens or gives info
I don’t believe there is a singular best perk.

If we just compare hexes and boons with an undying that works the both the same way, it would be a lot better on hexes, because they work globally. Boons could be spawned at a total trash position where you will never go, so having only one transfer would be really lackluster.
On the other side boons aren’t strong, so having infinite transfers couldn’t be strong either.
we might be at an intersection because i do think that boons shouldn’t take as long as they do to put up compared to how quickly they are snuffed. I do disagree in that boons are weak. I don’t think they are the best perks in game for survivors considering consistency, but I do think boons are nothing to scoff at, and good. They just need a little something of QoL to stand out, and dare I say it shine in their own merit. While you say there could be some trash spawns, i agree, but it could also be the one thing you need, so I’m 50/50 on this because rng. Make things a little spicy, maybe I’m a chaos gremlin.

That would be an interesting perk to be honest, but it would really depend on how it is executed. If it only works once like undying it will be trash.
doesn’t need to be super strong imo. I feel like undying is slept on, personally. I would put it on and run boons if we had a boon perk like hex undying.

@SoGo said:
Hexes would benefit from better hiding spots. Most of the time, they are in plain sight. Another thing that I've seen a lot and agree with, is that Hexes should light up only once they start doing something.
Boons should have 32 meter radius to compensate for the totem spawns getting changed (this is important), should have their shimmering sound made quieter, should take less time to put up and should destroy the totem they are in after getting snuffed from that totem twice.
I feel like boons need an undying version for survivor
-
may I introduce you to hex: undying? It’s a blight perk.
Description: Hex which maintains the vile powers that flow throughout the Trial.
The Auras of Survivors within 2/3/4 metres of any Dull Totemare revealed to you.- Any hex perk that is cleansed or blessed, its Hex is transferred to the Hex: UndyingTotem, including any accumulated Tokens, disabling Hex: Undying instead.
All effects of the Hex Perk persist until its Hex Totem is cleansed.

I am located literally next to what's supposed to be a functional server. My ping should be low. But it's not, clearly, the game sends me very far away. I've actually asked players in several matches about their countries of origin, seeing "USA" as a frequent response.
Is it BHVRs server/contracted server? Because if not that’s like saying “I’m standing right next to a cellphone tower” and you have sprint mobile but that’s a Verizon wireless tower that doesn’t allow sprint on it. I know who I work for nobody is allowed on our servers but who the intended audience is. They serve a very specific purpose. I imagine a gaming company would work similarly with different points for different network purposes tied to their servers, because it’s just good business practice in the realm of IT. We asked them for a long time to get dedicated servers, and that’s what they got to my knowledge, meaning they also serve a specific purpose, and people aren’t usually lax with their servers, unless they’re a noob. Not my speciality, but I know enough, so unless you’re BHVR sitting next to your own dedicated server going “why?” Idk we have a team that runs tests to figure out why, and I’m not on it, and they’re pretty tight lipped about it, as they should be for cybersecurity reasons that I know someone understands.
-
you can probably give her undectable for her drones zones, and haste for red light green light, realistically. I don’t want her to be bland. I want a challenge, but also someone that can be played around that rewards both sides for making the right calls at the right times.
It can make people think about what perks they want to bring hopefully shake up the meta a little bit.If she becomes a popular pick. Idk I don’t see a lot of survivors that would pick the right stuff to go against, and that can be a huge W for SM killers.
I’d start there, give people time to adjust on both sides. Buff as needed. I personally can’t wait to see my teammates and possibly myself getting hit in the head with a drone. I think that will breathe some life into her, and make it kind of funny to be honest for you to laugh at on both sides.
Edited to say: maybe a dazed effect or concussed if they get a sick headshot with the drones on a survivor. Makes like their screen a little blurry with like loud ear ringing noises. Rewards skill.
