Huh no I'm saying as a way to prevent people from abusing it I've played against some wraiths at low loops that just abused the speed every time they missed and left you with almost no time to try and gat to a nearby loop

“abusing” is just a word like “toxic” in the dbd community, it has lost it’s original meaning. people using stuff for their advantage are “abusing” it, people doing stuff others don’t like are “toxic”.

like the definition of “tunneling” or “camping”.

    just semantics.

  • I accepted the challenge.

I came prepared: 2 apples, tinkerer, discordance, m&a, infectious

I load into the map, two survivors instantly approach me wanting to farm...

    Challenge done :D

SA servers late at night are terrifying, at least in my experience. That is when the sweaty lords come out to play.

Of course the SWF squads come out in the evening, at night and on the weekends.

During the day people are at work, university, school, just generally busy. During these times people also tend to play more killer because they would have to play solo queue without their friends. This leads to shorter survior queue times (and killer queues are a little bit longer, not instant like in the evening but like 30 seconds up to a minute).

Then, when everybody is at home, people met up to play games, so more SWF groups, less killers, longer queue times for survivors.

More SWF means even more people stop playing killer during those times. I'm no exception here, later in the evening I switch from killer to survivor lobby simulator (although solo :D ).

  • 4,5k hours and I can count the cheaters I encountered on two hands...

Well if the some killers was reworked like the Doctor.

I wouldn’t Disconnect or make this post.

When Iam forced to run the stay calm perk all the time is lame.

This is the only way to even get close to winning a match against the doctor.

But yeah what fun is their in screaming and not be able to complete a generator.

People disconnect on me all the time.

Usually 1 person always disconnects on me ever match.

When you expect Spirit or Nurse to be the problem and then it is the Doctor, lol

I do find that escape rate way too high and inaccurate, as their usual stats show killers winning over 70% of games or something like that.

It can be conclude that DS was not overpowered at all. All it did do was drastically increase tunneling.

Tunneling increased drastically but less survivors are bringing DS? :D

This is stuff that only happens in DBD, lol

I would never consider Tunneling the always optimal playstyle for killer imo.

That said there are situations where you'd have to be braindead not to go for the recently unhooked, injured Claudette sitting on a gen in front of your face. In that situation if they get salty post game I don't even hear them out. That's just bad gameplay.

I have a personal rule about never hooking a survivor twice in a row as I don't think it makes for a fun/dynamic match. Some survivors pick up on this sometimes and get cocky with it and try to abuse my goodwill so I slug them and continue on.

Personal rules, trying to make the game fun for everyone, all well and good. Hey, I'm in the same boat. I've already played this game for far too long, I don't care about kills, escapes, pips anymore. I let the the freshly unhooked baby dwight that runs straight back into my arms go and search for other survivors (even if the unhooker is long gone), but...

nothing is more optimal for a killer then to reduce the work power of survivors by 25% as quickly as possible. A survivor normaly takes two hits, a survivor fresh from the hook only takes one, maybe two if they have DS. Killers like Nurse, Spirit or Blight don't have to care about DS as they are right back on the survivor - nothing lost here.

There is also this myth that chasing a new survivor off a gen is more beneficial for the killer and puts more pressure on the survivors than going for the unhooked one. In both cases 3 survivors are free to do gens, doesn't matter who is getting chased. Take into account perks like iron will, dh, adrenaline and resilience and there is not even a reason to heal, especially if the killer spreads hook states between all survivors.

3 hooks on one survivor mean -25% survivor power - 3 hooks on 3 different survivors mean little if they are efficient on gens.

3 survivors left with 2 generators to repair against an experienced killer, that's tough for the survivors.

Killer with one or two gens left, even with a 3gen vs. 4 experienced survivors (each with max. one hook state), no way they don't finish the last gens.

  • This one might be better than my favourite brain fart challenge so far, the one where you have to pull someone out of a locker with iron maiden.

  • ‘Killers’ complain about ‘gen rush’, ‘survivors’ complain about tunneling, aka ‘kill rush’.

Both terms just describe the optimal, focused play style for each side.

Well, I can't link my video playlist, as it was already removed when I tried to link it this morning. "Naming and shaming," even though all I do is show footage of people's actions... (So if that's deemed as shaming, then it's admitting their actions are shameful, lol.)

SO, if anyone wants to watch, just search "DBD Sucks Ep.1" and go to the playlist if you wanna see all 29 games in order.

Ok, I watched over a dozen of your end game chats, hoping to see some really spicy stuff but... there is none, nothing, nada? No slurs, no death threads, nothing about your family, cancer, al-quaeda or anything.

Two people wrote "nice camping", one "no gg" and ok, one called you toxic for camping but... where is the spicy trash talking that made you come to this forum and open this thread?

Most of your end game chats consist of you writing monologues in an already empty chat room. I'm confused.

  • I honestly have no idea how new players cope with the grind.

Even for veteran players every new dlc means 3 new perks, so 9 perk levels, 5 bloodwebs, a.k.a. about 250k BPs on each character.

If you are playing every killer that's about 6 million BPs, increasing with each dlc.

Now, tell this to a new player who maybe makes like 10k per match...

  • I used Blight with Vigo's Journal for this challenge, that add-on is just so much fun :D

And yes, lethal rush counts as "hitting with your weapon".

  • To quote the devs, it's not cheating but you will go to hell for using it ;)

people could just stick a piece of paper onto the center of their screen, no software required. now if we are talking about external software used while playing DBD... we all know the big elephant in the room... :D

  • People need to realize, the RE killer is already finished. And the question, which character will be implemented, has been decided months ago, maybe even a year ago.

Once a company publishes a teaser, the product is already finished, just some minor bugfixing and QA left to do.

  • NOED gives the killer one kill.

If they got more, survivors either got extremely unlucky by grouping up for the last gen (which is always a bad idea vs. Bubba) or reckless altruism because “we need to get everyone out because the killer doesn’t deserve one kill.”

So when survivors got permanently banned for abusing the Asylum exploits a while ago? Oh, we don't talk about that because it doesn't fit your agenda.

To further prove you are completely wrong and just biased, according to your own logic why isn't the J Flick bannable? Why wasn't it fixed already since it doesn't benefit survivors in any way?

I think, I remember correctly, all those ‘perma’ bans got lifted after they fixed the bug.

How is it misinformation? How is having a stream up to gain an upperhand NOT streamsniping? And from what I recall I dont think any game developer would support streamsniping.

So please, educate me instead of insulting me

dev’s said several times that stream sniping is not a banable offense.

  • Fix? How does one fix a perk that is not broken?

you want to buff whispers, not fix it.

  • Define "slugging" please.

Are we talking about an infectious nurse that doesn't pick up anyone at 5 gens or a killer sweating for the 4k or one of these situtations:

    • the killer finds two survivors, downs one instantly and starts chasing the other one
    • a survivor goes for an instant unhook without BT, Killer downs the unhooked one and starts chasing the farmer boy/girl
    • stuff happening during EGC
    • that poor baby meg (that either got screwed by matchmaking or happens to play in a swf) that runs blindly into the killer after being unhooked, gets downed but the killer feels bad for her and doesn't hook her again
    • killer downs a survivor, then either tinkerer, discordance or some other perk/addon progs or somone simply fails a skill check nearby and the killer goes on protecting the gens

For the first 2 situations, yes, I'd like to have suicide button that becomes available after half of the bleed out bar got used.

All the other stuff, I wouldn't even call "slugging".

I had a match today, as Spirit in Ormond. Using Dragon grib / Haunted ground / Make your choice / Noed.

Early game, I saw a survivor trying to cleanse my Haunted ground, I act like didnt see them, but I phased back and grab. A hook in under 1min. No need to say, I have alot pressure from that hook.

Funny thing, that was the only phase I did in that game, the rest I just "standing mind game". Still had 9/12 hooks. 2k.

Yeah, when people start calling "standing still" a mind game, you know something is wrong ;)

  • uhm, what exactly is that tier list?

(please say "killer strength tier list")

  • ok, while we are in the process of removing unintended mechanics, can we please remove streched res, window tech, 360's, trap buffering with BT and hit priority when unhooking, too? pretty please? with sugar on top!

  • LOL how can people with hundreds and thousands of posts take this thread seriously?

C'mon guys, get your coffee and wake up :D

  • Just get rid off all one-shot addons. It's just stupid to design a killer without instadown and then giving them a one-shot via add ons.

They will never be balanced correctly.

    • old iri hatchets: complete ********
    • new iri hatchets: just a desperate try to keep the one-shot in game
    • Iri coin: never seen it being used, never used it myself, has anyone used this more than once?
    • Pinky finger: insta down without a downside? there is basically no reason not to run this addon as long as you are willing to spend BPs on Clown
    • Iri blight tag: no downside but a condition... which is no problem for an experienced blight player most of the time... add infectious and alchemist ring... fun times ahead

    what else do we have?

    • Honing stone: actually ok in my opinion
    • Tombstone piece: insta down is not enough? just go for the insta kill! at least "very rare" is more rare than "ultra rare" in this game :D

I’ll explain to you what a truly toxic Spirit is. Last night I had a match against one. I was the first one to be found. She downed me and instantly started face camping me, shaking her head at me and everything. No gens or anything had been done because the match just started. Anytime I managed to get saved she would just go right to me and tunnel me back on the hook, then proceed to facecamp me again. I didn’t even get to touch a gen or do anything. It was just hook struggle the game. I don’t blame her for her perks or anything. I blame her for how she played, which is like a dickweasel.

I hope you went straight to a forum and made a thread about it :D

  • If a team gets fully slugged at five gens, doesn’t matter against which killer, it’s not a problem with the killer. It just shows - once again - that ranking up is way to easy.

sorry, but objectively speaking, your swf is not ready to play at red ranks - if rank would matter.

blight doesn’t even have a one-hit and as a survivor you should realise pretty quickly when a killer is running infectious and adjust your play style.

also, the devs have stated several times, on video, that there is nothing wrong with camping, tunneling or slugging. Infectious is a perk made to embrace slugging, just like knock out or deerstalker - think about it.

  • Like others have asked before, where exactly is the toxic stuff?

the only toxic thing an after-game screen could show is some spicy end game chat.

perks and items are never toxic, only player behaviour can be toxic and we would need a video to judge this.

all we can see here is an underperked killer with bad perks and bad add ons.

  • Dead Hard in the eyes of BHVR: used to dodge a hit - can be baited, can cause "exhausted on the ground" thanks to servers

Dead Hard in reality: on-demand sprint for distance - nothing you can do about it most of the time

  • After about 2k hours of non-instasaw billy I played a few games after his rework... this roar man. This roar just killed it. And he felt way more clunkier to navigate.

haven’t touched him since. RIP billy boy

  • my-image.png

S + A are also my favourite killers to play as... and Deathslinger 😁

  • @DoritoHead said:

You must have a very wide definition of what tunneling is.

Whenever you hook a survor the second time, you are tunneling... read the rulebook 🤣

  • @SleepyWillo said:

Everygame so far I've been camped to second stage and then tunnelled off the hook. The stun timer does nothing and there seems to be no incentive not to just eat it anymore - especially if you have a ranged attack or any kind of map mobility.

Nothing in this scenario is related to the DS changes. ‘No incentive to eat it anymore...’ actually now there is an incentive not to tunnel but rather to wait until the survivor progresses the game so you don’t have to eat the DS.

Stun timer didn’t change as well. Your killer would have played the same way with old DS, he just doesn’t care.

  • Are you for real? Rank15 gameplay, account level 160+ versing actual grey rank survivors?

I'm not saying that Spirit doesn't have bulls***t mechanics but c'mon... rank15... of course your friend is going to slaughter them but he could as well played no-blink-nurse or perkless clown or one-handed while cooking his dinner and the result would have been the same.

Sad thing is, matches like this might be what BHVR is balancing their game off.

  • Like many others have already pointed out, I'd like to see the killrate with the following games being discounted:

    • suicide on first hook because I don't like the killer / the map / their cosmetics / I was the first to go down, giving the killer an easy win
    • killer gets like two hooks the whole game, hooks somebody in the end thx to NOED - at low ranks he gets a one kill because everyone is so afraid of NOED they just leave - at high ranks he gets a 4k because survivors throw their brain away while desperatly trying to save that one person
    • games in which at least two potato survivors are so boosted by SWF and the broken rank system that they end up in red ranks nonetheless and doom the whole team
    • people throwing because they want to finish some absurd tome challenge
  • Nurse got fixed with the last update. They fixed the rubberbanding and most of her non-connecting hits.

You can still play omega blinks and her new addons can counter a big part of her basekit nerfs (recharge time and fatigue) if these are too much for anyone to handle.

Her ultra rare addons are pretty bad tho, not gonna lie

So, is she weaker than pre-rework? Yes.

Is she still the strongest killer in the game? Yes.

  • Yeah, one out of four survivors got away, what a tragedy...

  • LUL one streamer says something and a whole lot of people instantly go crazy, propably already planning the next killer "strike"

  • I feel you!

I just got robbed of 4 grabs in one game with my piggy. Then, because 3 of them were dead on hook with one gen done and ruin still up on lery's, I just farmed it.

  • And btw, reaching tier70 is nothing special and says nothing about "skill".

Lot's of people already grinded it just by playtime or you know... you can just buy them tiers...

  • LOL the old challenges weren't difficult in terms of "skill".

They were just either RNG based or obnoxiously grindy.

  • @NoShinyPony said:

These challenges don't make me want to play the game more. Quite the opposite, I can see myself playing other video games more often.

Played only 3 matches today. Yolo-saving teammates are really killing the fun. These guys were most likely farming for their challenge, and I'm afraid it will continue to be like this.

So it's either playing 4-men-SWF or playing something else.

Playing in a full SWF definately makes some of the survivor challenges immensly easier like the 2 unhooks during egc or heal 4 health states in one game.

I guess it's just bad luck if you are a solo player...

  • I blame you for not using any paragraphs...

  • Yeah, I too was hoping they'd adjust those stupid challenges after T4 got accidently revealed. At least we now know what to expect.

Most of these challenges just promote stupid plays, SWF and farming games while the rest are just super grindy. Good luck getting some of those while playing solo. Or getting six grabs with dedicated servers LUL.

All you can expect now are farming games and lots of DCs to derank before the update hits.

Pretty good... no, this isn't even funny anymore.

  • @justarandy said:

@Rizzo90 can you take a little bit control here? This should have been a purely nurse discussion but now people are discussing about the player behind the video instead of focusing on what my post is about.

no worries, rizzo is an awesome mod. he will keep things clean.

  • Not too long ago (but before the nurse changes) I made a little experiment.

I came to twitch and opened Zubat's stream on one screen and Gamma's on the other one, cause both were about to start a match.

Zubat was playing LF with a mad grit / agitation / iron grasp meme build and got a coldwind map.

Gamma was playing omegablink / ruin nurse on a mcmillan map.

Zubat was playing as usual which ended in a 3 or 4K, can't remember if last guy got the hatch.

On the other screen, Gamma was sweating, claiming "I should have brought an ebony.", "I can't read chat right now, I have to concentrate.", "Next time I bring a mori."

Both played in purple ranks shortly after rank reset.

Don't let yourself get fooled by stats and playtime.
