Honestly? It's non committal.
I can sit down, open up Dead by Daylight and have a 20 minute play session and then log back off. That may sound weird but when you're time limited and your choices are a 2 hour movie, a long game with few save points or this one, Dead by Daylight just works with my schedule.
Plus it doesn't demand your time. There's dailies but it's just bloodpoints. There is rifts but you can still get the rewards later. If there's an outfit you must have you can just buy it.
It also helps that I'm good enough at it I can play it to relax and don't feel competitive playing it.

That's the cutest outfit they've come out with in a long time too. Justice for Kate when?
-
If I use Dead Hard it's only for things like blinking nurses, hatchets or deathslinger shots etc. It's nigh useless for M1 attacks. If it's an M1 killer I just use it to get extra distance in a loop.
Or I use Lithe. It can be really handy.

This October will be a complete year of play for me. I get frustrated with today's matching of top quality survivors. Yes, they love to run from me, duck with a quick timed turn, while I miss with a swing. I spend too much time trying to down the survivor because I am determined to get my hook. I am trying to improve as a killer. However, with the latest tweak, I am not as good as before. The game is not as fun for me as it used to be. It does not matter if I win or lose. I still have rage quitters. Now, I want to rage quit as a killer and sometimes as a survivor. However, when the foe(s) already has a win anyway, I will just give up in game and take the blood points. Fair or not, it is just something I do since the beginning. I know people laugh at me for my game play. I know this is a rant and a tangent of your comment. However, I thank you for informing me of how some things used to be.
<3 Play long enough and you'll stop caring. When I got the Rank 1 Achievement for both survivor and killer I stopped caring about rank. Then I did the achievements, and then once you do them all that's really left is the actual game. So I just like to run around and collect bloodpoints and when I get enough iri shards I buy new clothes.
Now, I do rage quit and kill myself on hook. I'm not a model player by any stretch of the imagination. BUT, make your own win conditions. Sometimes I'll do a few no mither one hit one hook rounds and the game decides now to let me jump off the hook and I end up going through the exit gates. This game is about as competitive as Super Smash Bros. I run Bond sometimes just to laugh at my teammates when they do a backflip. It's the little things.

This is where the South Park kids say, "I learned something today." I never thought about vaulting like this nor do I remember any survivors work this on me. I will always know there are too many who are far better and smarter at DbD than me.
Don't feel bad. Way way back in the day the killer FOV allowed you to look into lockers if you got close to them so you wouldn't have to waste time searching them manually. You could just push your killer you were controlling against the locker and see if someone was inside by clipping in just a little bit.
Turns out the devs didn't like that, so they adjusted the killer POV and gave them a little bit of a blind spot, and that blind spot is what we're all playing with a lot of the time. Just like if you run up to a killer and crouch at the right time on the killer's screen it looks like you ran past him so he'll turn around, and you can just...not go that way and turn 180 degrees and run off while he's figuring out what you did.
I'll be honest knowing all the hitboxes and tricks and stuff kinda sucks you out of the whole horror experience really quick, but it does secure wins.
-
I'm guilty of being a booli to globe killers, but don't feel bad. Console players are just used to a specific type of play/counterplay and PC users in general tend to be different sorts of players.
It'll come to you. There's a definite difference between Rank 1 PC Huntress and Rank 1 PC [anything] by miles, but that doesn't mean you're a bad player.

I have every Adept and almost every achievement and I'm bad at Dead by Daylight.
-
I like to yell 'Here comes the fiiiiiinger!' when I'm chasing people on Hag. That seems to help my emblems.
Granted I did it back with old Ruin when it made skillchecks red but I don't remember having issues with Hag. I just made sure I had 10 traps down at all time and chased people until a trap popped and hit left ctrl instantly.
It'll come.

Pretty solid OP. A+

Plz, I need to know. I can handle it promise
lel. Window tech is when you vault a window, immediately crouch so when the killer goes through you're out of his field of view. During the vault his collision hasn't moved to the other side of the window with his animation so you crouch walk under him and it gives you like, 2 seconds (or more) to lose the killer.
Apparently the collision for killers moves to the other side of the window as soon as he vaults now. So it's harder to do.
-
It's too...too soon to talk about what happened to window tech. Too painful.

I thought his favorite food is wax and oil from lava lamp.
Come to think of it, Blight does kind of look like an orange lava lamp.
I just found Blight really easy to lose on corn maps and his ability to bounce off stuff is limited in corn world. I almost felt bad for him.
-
Hecc
u too cutie
-
What is the Blight's favorite food?
Corn.
-
My survivor and killer queues have been instant today, both red ranks.
The survivors I keep getting on my team are freshly grown potatoes though.
Edit: Survivor lobby is taking more than a minute. Everyone go play killer now so I can do these survivor challenges kthx
-
Now that I'm logged in I think I have to beat those last two survivor challenges. Time to get the cutely dressed nuggets killed a bunch.
-
Okay cutie I did the thing. Give one of these books a C L I C C
Now you should be on this screen. Mine sticks me on level 4 because Dbd. Click the book icon under the rift icon on the left. It's called collection.
The top story says Alchemist on Tome 1 so maybe that's what's throwing you off, but as you can see here by following these steps I can access old stories. Hope this solves the mystery!
-
I never noticed Hex: Undying as a killer, but as Survivor every time I go near a totem a Blight starts charging towards me.
Do bones they said. It'll avoid NOED they said. Inner Strength is stronger than self care they said.
[Hyper Blight noises]
-
Yeah it looks like I misunderstood. My bad, wouldn't be the first time I was a derp.
I'm doing my Maplestory dailies right now so gimme like an hour and I'll log in again and try to figure it out.
-
Weird. When you click that there should be three books showing. You click one of those to get into the old challenges, and the little 4 diamonds above the level completion rewards to select your stage. I tried it out and mine works, but I have already completed the tome. I don't think it's intended to lock newbies out. That wouldn't make sense and that's a treasure trove of easy bloodpoints.
Hmmmmmm.
-
-
I think the penalty is off right now. Streamers kept getting super banned.
I've been cursed today with teammates that want to follow you around and work on a gen with you, but miss skill checks like this is their first time playing (red ranks btw). I'd rather them just d/c at this point.
-
Come on guys, don't you remember the part in the movie where the pig lady run at you with a knife and then put a trap on your head that didn't require you to injure yourself to escape from? (Not gonna lie though I really like Stake Out and Detective's Hunch)
-
Only the roughest toughest most rowdy gamers hang 'round these parts. I bet these people would eat at the Krusty Crab without using the secret sauce.
-
For me it was self care that taught me this. I knew if I ran away from all the gens there would be a high chance the killer would abandon me to pressure gens and I could heal in peace.
Visionary is fine too though.

Walk up to them and bop them, then as they sprint burst away line up your followup lethal strike.
-
It begins.
Everyone said Deathslinger was a worse huntress btw
Everyone said Oni was a weaker Hillbilly btw
Knee jerk reactions in this game only serve to give you a false sense of confidence. "Oh he's playing x killer, no need to worry..."
-
I kill myself on hook all the time. I don't really even need a reason.
The game even has an achievement for rage quitting. Not today killer, not today.
-
Breasts are the most important thing in the universe. They must be given the freedom they deserve.
-
PTBs have always been a bit weird for this game. I remember Kate Denson having an absurdly loud actual scream when getting hooked to the point it was scaring people. (Can't have this in a horror game) so they changed it to something more silly.
Auras are the most blatant "wat" that should have been on the PTB first, but I get it, their offices are closed. I could make a joke about working remotely, but I see how finishing your batch of code without being able to communicate with your team members in real time might lead to some hiccups.
-
Hills should be fixed. I haven't seen anyone make a thread on it in a while and they promised it would be fixed with Blight patch.
-
He has add ons that increase turning like Hillbilly though doesn't he?
Just use the common add on that turns you to face the survivor and take the guess work out of it. Or just don't use his power at all and he plays like a default M1 killer. He also has a skin with a top hat. It is impossible to be disappointed with anything when you have a top hat.
-
Because his human head was destroyed by the pustula flower and now he sees through his peepee.

Dead by Daylight has 3 stages.
Stage One: You're new and you just want to try your best. See the sights. Getting better as you go along.
Stage Two: You HAVE to be rank 1. You know ALL the maps. You HAVE to run the meta. You're going to dominate in whatever role you're playing and if they use NOED or Decisive or ANYTHING YOU DON'T LIKE THEY'RE TRASH.
Stage Three: Hey I got 20k bloodpoints that match. Wonder if this perk combo will amuse me for a few hours?

Woah-ho-ho!
the flavour of your ship is most appreciated!
So, Nancy does her “investigative reporting,” deep, under cover, whilst intoxicated with that darkly, musky aroma highlighted by top notes of pink pepper, citrus accord, vetiver to arouse her interest; as all her senses are serenaded with heart notes of grapefruit, crisp cedar an labdanum, until finally crescendoing into a dry down climax consisting of frankincense, ginger an sandalwood; so thick an tangible within the confines of the Fairfield pimp lair!
What wonders lie beyond those double red doors, indeed!
<3 ;)

I got my Adept Felix and Adept Blight within 2 games, which generally means the killer and survivor are good for casual play.
I'm going to miss the old gens and chests and maps that are gone, but I get it. Everything constantly has to be looking prettier. People like a fresh coat of paint.
I've never been good at hearing things so my head has always been on a swivel or I'm running something like Stake Out or Diversion, but you can tell something's wonky with the killer terror radius. I've been making jokes about the 420 patch being full of people that aren't paying attention and zoning out.
Overall it's pretty spiffy. I'm not having any lag or anything like some are having though.

I main Nea I tbh I never thought about them together, but now I can't stop thinking about it thanks to you
Dwight and Nea just seem like a good fit. Dwight's a good boy trying his best and Nea's a foreign Swedish girl that's acting out. They'd balance each other. Nea would help Dwight loosen up and Dwight would help channel her creativity in a more lawful way.
I'm a fan of Meg x David, Adam x Claudette and Feng x Jake too. I've got a whole dang shipping chart. Felix has a girlfriend/kid so he'd exempt, but one day I'll find someone to ship Zarina and Yui with.

Anyone else disappointed by Dwight's lack of ties and business related attire? He went full hipster and never came back rip.
Me me me. CEO Dwight when?

But I wanna hit killers in the face with pallets.
I wanna hear Myers go 'Ooorgh' and regret his life choices.

Think NaN-chan’s into Felix a bit, tbh
I know that feeling. I ship Dwight x Nea and Steve x Nancy...
BUT.
The only reason Inner Strength even works in this game is because cleansing totems remind survivors how Dwight loves teamwork, then they go into Dwight's natural habitat to bathe in his cologne. Nancy was drawn to those lockers for a reason. (No it wasn't the hatchets.)
-
Blight would be like "So Hag, how do you fight the survivors?"
Then Hag would draw a triangle on the floor.
Blight would look it over and nod.
"Hm. I too make sharp turns in a triangle shape. Just with a lot more speed and violence."
-
Huntress has a very loud hum, to the point where she might as well not have a terror radius at all. God forbid you can't see her.
But yeah. I recommend running Stake out or Diversion so you know when the killer is coming.
-
Dwight and Nancy sittin' in a locker.
H E A L I N G
First comes love, then comes marriage.
Then the end game timer hits and they die just as they both finish coitus and are forced out of the locker and get sacrificed by the entity.
A+ fanfic.
-
This killer is all about triangles.
You? Are you trying to survive? Have another TRIANGLE. NYEH heh heh heh.
-
You can't use his power in loops. It's fantastic for running survivors down in the open. I use a triangle method to smack people. Look for an object off to your right or left, hit it and spin towards where you want the survivor to go, then hit the second object and smack the survivor where you lead him.

Shattered monocle is overpowered.
