It needs a nerf, it has no counter play, way to overpowered on good survivors.
-
That map needs to be disabled until it's fixed, the amount of safe pallets are absolutely insane, i have yet to lose on that map as survivor, even the worst survivors can beat the best killer on that map, which shows you how unbalanced it is.
-
Very unfun perk yo go against, has no counterplay, needs to get nerfed.
-
Absolutely not lol, survivors are still super strong when played right, nothing can beat that.

I cant see why the hook cant automatically lower when Chucky is dragging someone over, like a fishing pole.
Yeah but that would still be different hook mechanic, because he doesn't do it the normal way, right?
-
All Chucky need is different hook mechanic, otherwise he is good to go
-
Absolutely needed this, all who are against it are the same people who abused the crap out of it.
-
Because it's way to punishing to play them otherwise.
Successfull hit with Victor can get you crushed, even tho you did everything right.
Switching from Victor to Charlotte is taking way to long, deletes element of fear when she is near the gen, because you will have 3 seconds to get away.
Charlotte has no secondary power, she is M1 killer, and we all know how good only M1 killers are in this game.
Overall it feel way to punishing to play them, everything you do has massive counterplay, that's why I dropped them.
-
Btw really well made post.

Maybe hooking survivors, all that has to do with its power, but in itself, it would be a complex killer, but if they bring it, I'm sure it will have a new mechanism to hook or trap survivors, like Pyramid-Head and its cages.
@Healthore77992 What do you think?
https://youtu.be/ieqIt4--eiA 0:44-0:52
That's one of the ways, the second is:
Chucky's hooks could have a handle that he pulls that drops the hook down on like a chain and then pulls survivor back up.
What do you think?
-
Hahaha whaaat? Maybe try to play killer at high ranks and you'll see, geez.
-
Absolutely, the most broken perk along with ooo atm
-
Chucky

are you even reading what im posting?
we've been over this already.
he is LESS THAN HALF of Freddys size. and Freddy is already a small killer!
is he gonna be bigger than Victor? maybe. as far as i know we have no exact height for Victor, so its hard to tell.
is he going to be big enough to work? absolutely not.
Well, that is your opinion. I think he would work, his height would be like Pig or GF when he is crouching, he would be the most unique killer we have yet, but that is also just my opinion.

its not about that.
its about the fact that he would be too small to make any basic killer interaction.
the entire reason why we have Charlotte is, because Victor is too small to do anything himself. so for all these interactions he cant do, we have Charlotte to do them for him.
Victor cant kick gens, break pallets, valut windows, carry / hook survivors, etc. thats why he NEEDS Charlotte and thats the exact same reason why Chucky wont work - because he has no Charlotte to do all of those for him, while still being around the same height level as Victor is.
Chucky is bigger than him, he can easily interactions, only hard thing to do is hooking, for what people already made solutions to..
I think he could work pretty well

unless his power makes him grow like 5 times his size, that doesnt matter.
for reference:
Chucky has a total height of 74cm.
Freddy has a total height of 1.78m.
so Chucky would still be less than half of Freddys size, who is already considered to be one of the "small" killers in DbD.
that is simply too small.
The thing is, Entity and his power would help him in situations you've mentioned where Victor can't.
When playing Twins and realease the Victor, people have no problem spotting him, because he is loud, they could do the same for Chucky, make his red light bigger etc etc.. But that's my opinion.
-
@Mister_xD said:
i dont think the addition of Victor makes Chucky any more realistic.
The entirety of Charlotte exists, because Victor is incapable of doing any normal killer interaction on his own. He cant break pallets, he cant vault windows, he cant kick generators, carry survivors, hook them or generally speaking even make a normal lunge attack.
Chucky suffers from the exact same problem - with the difference that he has no Charlotte to do all of those actions / interactions for him.
also, i wouldnt want to imagine an 115% mms killer that constantly has Victors FoV... that would be awful to have to deal with imo.
The difference between them is that Chucky has a power, and he is a bit taller than Victor
-
Agree with all.
-
Hoping it's either Chucky or Pennywise

It's just that, a dream. Pennywise has no real physical form, he's just an alien ball of light. If you think about it, he's way to similar to The Entity itself and that would be an issue lore wise. How's a parasitic space god feed off another parasitic space god? Chucky on his own is useless, he's way too small. Yes I know it's been suggested that he could work with his human form but then that would just be The Twins. Imagination can only go so far without changing the character entirely. Xenomorph is described as "the perfect organism" literally unstoppable unless it's shot or blown up. The Predator would work nicely though. Mr X is a towering bioweapon that walks through walls and tanks grenades. A plank of would should not affect him. Plus with his strength he could just chuck a generator out of the match. On top of that, he wouldn't listen to the Entity anyway, he's programmed to kill RPD, STARS and any witnesses and military personnel. He's useless to the Entity.
I don't really agree. Pennywise and Entity could work together, I'm pretty sure devs already would know the answer. Chucky isn't useless, he has human strength in his doll form, he also has real power to work with. As far as we know maps are the Entity, we can't know how strong pallet is, because it is part of the Entity, so Alien and Mr X could work aswell, imo.
-
The devs said Pennywise is they're dream license, so I'm pretty sure they could do it. They can make all killers work, Chucky, Pinhead, Alien, Mr x etc etc, you just need good imagination.
-
What I've been thinking:
1. Make his T1 110%, Undetectable by Spine Chill (This is where you will make your choice, either to stay in T1 and have real stealthy killer, or you will go into T3)
2. T3 120%
3. Remove limited stalking.
-
lol, git gud
-
Slugging has a counterplay, DS on some things did not have a counterplay and was just stupidly op.

Agreed, survivors will have lost the tool that let's them do this. Maybe that's good overall or maybe not, it depends on what survivors do to replace that perk and how they continue to play. It will change their approach for sure, it would be silly to just assume that survivors will just keep doing the same things in light of these changes.
I think the best thing now is that you have to make choice, will you risk losing your DS but help with faster game progression (high risk high reward) or will you take safe way for yourself and wait until you are ready? (Low risk low reward)
-
Ok
-
It will, you just won't be able to do things you otherwise wouldn't get away with, like doing gen in killers face, force a grab with rescue etc etc..

I am looping optimal bit he still end ups outlooping me bcause he get a speed bost without any punishment if he fails and then i need to find a new loop and on some maps there is barely a single loop with a safe pallet
If you were looping optimal he wouldn't caught you, drop pallets early, try to stay close to the windows, hell even if you find yourself in the open, you can still run around trees and other sharp objects, hug walls. His punishment is entering the tantrum and losing the chase, if he decides to not drop the chase he will lose that game, it's not Bubba's problem that some maps have less defense than the others.
-
People are still complaining about LF, he can be looped like basic M1 killer, if you find yourself in the open that is YOUR fault, he is mid tier killer.

Again, your a killer main clearly. In what way is this perk worth using anymore unless you want to be unproductive for the whole 60 seconds its activated.
No, I'm just thinking clearly. In a case you are getting tunneled, it wasn't fair to get punished when you are not tunneling, it was the most abused perk in the game, you did things you shouldn't get away with if you didn't have it. But i guess it's killers problem because you choosed to do a gen in his face?
-
DS still works like before, you just can't abuse it like you did. Even when I'm not tunneling i get hit by it, i am being punished for playing the game normal way, but survivor choosed to abuse the mechanic and work on the gen in my face, not anymore :)
-
Oof, you can't abuse the perk and do things you shouldn't be able to get away with, now I'm going to moan on the forums. Undying was nerfed aswell, so is DS, get over it.
-
Chucky
-
Because they cannot abuse it anymore, finally.
-
Not a step forward, but a step in the right direction!😂
-
Actually i don't care, because survivors also got their meta perk more balanced, they can't abuse it anymore hahaha, I always used pop, because i don't like gambling with totems.
-
The balancing was perfect, that's what i was saying for years, if they can do a gen etc they ain't tunneled anymore, i bet survivors are punching air rn because they can't abuse it anymore.
-
Perfect.
-
Finally you can't abuse that crutch, that's the healthiest thing this game did, i can't express how happy i am about it, hope that DH is next on the line.

The map could be Toy Factory, it could be good indoor map. Also he could have skins from different movies
Yeah, we need some good indoor maps. That's exactly what i thought, he has a lot of versions of himself.

What i tought about how Chucky would put survivors on the hook:
Chuck's hooks could have a handle that he pulls that drops the hook down like a chain and then he pulls the survivor back up.
If devs want to play with creativity.
I really like this idea tbh, one of the most original ones I've seen in a while that could work.
-
Oof, sorry for not holding your hand and letting you escape, i mean, how dare he trying to win, git gud lol.

The number of games where I've hooked someone, chased someone else or done another activity, came back and randomly bumped into the SAME survivor I just hooked for another down/hook/kill - and got accused of major camping. For the most part most survivors are just dumb - they don't move far from the spot they were hooked, and the expectation is that you - the Killer - will just ignore them for some unknown period of time before hooking again.
Lately I have enjoyed waiting out Borrowed Time - survivors love to run at you to take the forced hit, and instead I just count to 15 and follow them. If you are going to abuse the mechanic then I'll just sit next to you if you let me. By the time they realize what's happening it's too late. They are so confused when I don't swing...
Exactly, they should blame their teammates for unhooking them when killer is close, why would i give them another chance when they have 3-4-5 second chances already
-
So what he should do? Let you go for free?
-
'It rewards killers for playing poorly with cheap kills. A good killer doesn’t need it.'
Absolutely everyone who thinks like this are bad at the game. DH, DS, BT, UB rewards you for making bad play, you could never get away with it if you weren't using them.
I swear survivors are the worst lol, never saw that much entitlement in any other game, dumb creatures.
-
I'm sure that on PC he is, on Console he is disgusting
-
Hoping it's Chucky
-
Such a shame man, i know how much you wanted him.. But things ain't over yet, hope dies the last.
-
Hey, i promise that it will get better when you get out of rank 20 and be actually good at the game, don't worry.

So, maybe you are right, it was to make it a little more terrifying and that it would approach unsuspecting survivors as it does in Child's Play movies for example.
Yeah, but we have to look for survivor side aswell. Killer with that height and tr would be a big problem, especially because he would have undetectable status effect
