Agreed. I think a survivors hook time meter should freeze if a killer is within so many meters. So many killer players only care about a 4K and their gaming experience, and then play victim when called out. Hate to see it. Good post.
that system was tried and abused

Uh huh. Alright

Barely

I'm game

The only killer perk and killer in need of significant changes that would be a nerf are NOED and Spirit
Spirit might not be too significant as its just a small something to give her counterplay while keeping her power the same

Goodbye. Best of luck to you.

All of these points are spot on. That said, I can only comment on my own experience as a 'Never ranked above 15 Survivor" who plays solo entirely.
I would care far less about how miserable it is to play as Survivor, at least for me, and try to get archives etc done and get BPs and etc...if you actually GOT BPs. My god it's the most miserable thing, and that's why I'm often giving up in my games. So sorry to my teammates, honestly. But it's really hard to care about working super duper hard for like..2k blood points. I can barely buy more than 2 things on a Bloodweb if I've -Escaped- which is just madness. Now, I'm not running We're Gonna Farm Forever bc I don't have it yet on my preferred Survivor (Due to the godawful BP rates) but even still...that Perk as written just incentivizes farming your teammates off hooks. How nice.
Meanwhile, I can play absolutely terrible on Killer and still make bank. I don't even have to be super tilted or super sweaty and kill everyone. BBQ more correctly rewards you for doing anything and everything in the game you're supposed to, vs just farming your poor teammates on hooks which often only makes a bad survivor round worse.
Actually reward Survivors for this ridiculous murder-slog with something other than the ability to tbag or 'be toxic', that's literally all they have to feel good about most of the time which is yikes.
I am in agreement about survivors needing more bp.

The playerstats site says you've escaped 10,176 times. Which would probably be a lot higher if you stopped dc'ing after being downed once.
He also suicides on first hook.

Perfect. I'm going to love this

SWF is fine and balanced. You cant handle SWF because you are just a bad killer. this is very simple.
Some killers are more unfair than SWF such as blight, nurse, oni, trickster, deathslinger, hag, spirit, clown and trapper
Oni, trickster, trapper, and clown being unfair ok I think that tells me everything I need to know

It gives an unfair advantage tho
No it doesn't. It's the point of her power. If having a power is an unfair advantage you might as well just be saying we need to nerf every killer in the game.

huntress is unfair because her hatchet hitbox is bs, blight is unfair because his mobility is insanely high, hag is unfair because you cant detect her traps easily.
your not supposed to detect her traps that is why they are called TRAPS

this game is just one MASSIVE cause and effect board
-
yeah a bunch of perks with only like 4 second effects are becoming permanent. rancor bug adrenaline bug lithe bug

I actually do sort of agree with the first 2 paragraphs.
Also,
Not only does DS punish you for playing the game
Not entirely true, the killer is the one punishing you for playing the game by tunneling. (But DS will work if you're still being tunneled so...)
Current DS does not punish the survivor for playing the game smartly, but old DS punished the killer for playing the game at all in a lot of situations. A fair trade-off if you ask me.
I'm in agreement with the farming points. the grind in this game is yeesh

The only real problem here is that the Aliens from A Quiet Place are entirely as Alien as Aliens get, and there's absolutely zero chance that the developers would be able to reuse the skeleton / rig that they normally do for basically every single killer. The creatures from a quiet place run entirely on all fours if I'm not mistaken, and that might be a huge turn off / big no on the part of the devs just because they focus on more human / humanoid killers.
The demogorgon is like a step or two away from human since it can walk on all fours but also on two legs as seen in the show, but the creatures from a Quiet Place are like three or five steps away from being human.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/YX6Z9DWOF2NP/image.png
So I'm just not sure if they'd be willing to commit to it, since non-human / non-humanoid killers / characters haven't really ever been considered in Dead By Daylight. That's why we never got that Spider-killer that the community asked for so much all the way back in 2016 (and instead it showed up in Last Year which kind of died so..). Although the game has gotten a lot bigger, stronger, and has a lot more resources now than when those statements were original made so never say never maybe?
How a potential power would work on the other hand I'd be 100% behind, giving the killer the restriction of limited visibility but excellent hearing I think could manifest quite nicely in Dead By Daylight as a unique concept. Perhaps the creature would have clear vision only for a few meters of distance and then the map gets progressively darker the farther you're trying to see. And some brand new way of "seeing" would be created, like outlines of objects from echolocation and things like that. And you'd have to "echolocate" or something whenever you want / need to get a good look at your surroundings which lasts for a few seconds.
Meanwhile to compensate the creature could have the most unrestricted movement of the entire roster and move the fastest and attack the quickest or something.
It's a pretty radical idea I know. Which is why I can't help but kind of agree with the devs that maybe the resources this chapter would take up would just not be worth it for the one individual chapter. And it really makes you wonder if A Quiet Place is really worth all that dedication. It was a good movie that toyed with sound in horror in a unique way but beyond that it's not really all that memorable compared to other licenses imo. So really I'm either way on this particular license.
Yeah thats why I put my answer simply isn't the right design. However there was one game called damned which I remember had a killer that couldn't see anything but the map unless survivors made noise. I imagine it looking much like that. they can see the map but not anything else unless noise happens. either that or similar to in silence where they just have crap vision.

because of how many characters there are
-
omg no he did not

Like: spirit
despise: bubba
-
it would be a balancing nightmare but I'm so down to do it
-
Tier 1 can stay 2 and 3 I don't care for.
-
Eeeeeeh
-
I have to agree. I would like slower games.
-
I'd do wraith. Simple power.
-
Did you do anything to piss the killers off. That would do it.
-
yes and no
-
you can be double blinded. even then I doubt that it was 30+ seconds

Yes because its a classic horror icon from most read classic novels like The Strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde which inspired them to make the Blight.
Could be quite unique killer.
Could have a ranged power and an alt power like throwing a fireball to cause injure status with status effect but never downed and over time build up power to activate Daredevil aka his horse to speed across the map but has short m1 range.
Also large range of cosmetics from the Revolutionary war to the medieval era.
like speeding through the map just constantly swinging a damaging anyone in his path.
-
Game needs work but in terms of survivor vs killer its pretty balanced.
-
It would probably never work but I'm so down to have it. if you find a way to make it work please type in the comments

I've mastered none. I wish I have mastered spirit

The ones you mentioned are the issues. Every map that gets reworked comes back better for killers and much worse for survivors. Less pallets, windows gone or boarded up, and these weird dead zones with nothing. Like farm maps. There’s 3-4 sections with just hay and teepees. With a faster killer and range attacks, those areas are a death sentence.
tell that to the game
-
Ngl I just expected you to say all of them

Would be cool to have a real jumpscare killer like Mirror Myers but without needing addons and with gen pressure.
Maybe also some way to make it harder to detect a killer like becomes a shadow person sorta like a thick see-through fog in a shape of a person.
Love to see a killer that can give you a heart attack while still being a very good killer in red ranks.
when it comes to jumpscares a fnaf chapter could work with that by making the mori a jumpscare

NO!

big ones yes. small ones no

eeeeeeeehhhhhh

Im just going to quote a comedian and say "then you get here and everybody hates everything."
