Pray the survivors are terrible mostly.
At least, for larger maps with low mobility killers that is.

We no longer need pig as killer to get our snoot booping fix

I can agree with your idea which is correct in my opinion. However for totem spawns at least from my experience at some maps they have spawn at same places. At most of the maps I can find 2-3 totems without even searching them properly. So if you know the map finding totems are not that problem at some point. I assume people who just play survivors have better knowledge of totem spawns than I have.
Yeah some are blindingly obvious: these are the ones my regular hex perks will nearly always spawn on because RNG hates me.
With Noed you have to get all of them though, including the ones that are absurd; had one on sanctum of wrath once that was behind a load of reeds in the corner of a low wall. When I say behind them, I mean COMPLETELY covered by them; even with detectives it took me awhile to find (as aura had faded by time I got there).
You get one totem like that remaining, and its the other side of the map to you when last gen pops with detectives, you're going to think all totems done, and then NOED strikes and nobody is finding it, before somebody is sacrificed.
Learning every single possible totem spawn on every variation of every map, no doubt some players will have done so. But its a big ask of every single survivor in order to counter a single perk that requires literally nothing on the killers part to activate other than for them to be losing.

NOED is not an "OP" perk. It is a perk that you can only use during endgame which means during all the match you reserve one of your perk for endgame which maybe you are not gonna be needed. Yes it is frustrating to lose a game because of NOED but on the other hand the killer did not use one of his power during whole game and because of that reason I can say that NOED is a situational perk and not "OP" perk. Being a good survivor means trying to understand the killer's perks and assume the possibilities. Like killer carry people faster so he uses Agitation, the killer came to us when we working with gens as group that means he has discordance, killer came silently during the end of the gen that means he has Tinkerer, after he hooked somebody he managed to find me so he has BBQ and so forth.... As a survivor you should try to understand his perks and depends of that situation be preapared for suprise perks like Devour or NOED. Whenever I am playing survivor I always cleanse totems due to chance of NOED and plus it gives me points which is fair.
Overall if you lose a match because of NOED well you lose it. It's simple as that. You can loop the killer, let him chase you for 5 mins, being great at saves, repairs and etc... but you can lose because of not cleansing totems. When it comes to killer I saw people are commenting like "Killer did mistake so killer loses","He chased me for 4-5 min and that is why he lose","He was not pressuring gens so he lost the match". The Noed is the answer of "You did not cleanse totem and now you lose the match". It is that pure and simple. You did mistake and lose the match by not cleansing totems. Does it harsh? Yes it is harsh but it is a game where element of suprise can affect the whole game.
Note: I play both sides. I dont rely on NOED and I dont see many killer uses NOED especially at high ranks.
I don't think the issue is that it's OP; you are correct, it is not. Powerful, but not insane. The problem is, it is unhealthy, bad killers rely on it and never improve because of it. As you say, you rarely see it at higher ranks because most killers there don't need it, but when you come across a Killer at red rank that DOES have it, it becomes quickly clear by their play style that it has carried them there. They don't know how to pressure gens, they under perform in chases and will chase a single survivor indefinitely knowing they don't need to worry because NOED will help them catch up when they inevitably fail to prevent the gens being repaired.
I have never, ever played against a skilled high rank player who ended up having NOED, outside of meme builds. I do, however, hear the words "S/he isn't very good, they probably have NOED". So I can understand peoples frustration when they have out performed for 90% of the game and then suddenly the killer is getting gifted kills based on a single perk that requires nothing other than a lack of coordination/hastiness on survivor side.
The counter arguments are pretty flawed too. Maps are pretty rare on the bloodweb, and the green one doesn't even track totems by default. Small game and detectives hunch are decent, but Small game doesn't help you keep track of how many totems have been destroyed, and both are dependent on you not being hooked/chased.
Even with them, you can miss totems if they are at the other side of map etc and you have a team with no comms, it is a nightmare.
-
I'm curious, how many maps do you think a survivors find in their blood web?

Ash is so incredibly loud. It makes me worried just being near the dude cause everyone within a ten mile radius can hear him.
I got found in a locker once, no scratch marks or blood trails, had hidden in there to hide from bbq and I was like "how did he know I was...oh, right."
-
So everybody who bought the game to play with friends should just be ######### out of luck and have the main reason they bought the game taken away from them?
That would be like turning around to everybody who plays killer and saying "sorry guys, you cant play killer anymore because we're removing killers and replacing them with bots at the request of survivors"
-
As an Ash main, I have to run Iron will, and its a relief when i'm injured, as uninjured, his regular breathing is so damn loud I fear his heart will give up before the killer finds me.
-
On deathslinger, if its a big map, you dont. You can end a chase in seconds and the gens the other side of the map are already popping regardless. the remaining two will go very quickly before you can even patrol them. Find a 3 gen and guard it with your life.

My ideas:
- Hatchets regenerate over time
- Hatchets go through the first object they collide with, reduced amount of hatchets
- Instadown if the she hits from a certain distance (25+ m?)
- you see the Aura of another survivor if they are near the survivor who got hit/downed with a hatchet
after a hatchet has travelled X amount of meters, it can pass through objects. Imagine the long range map shots.
-
Throw through walls, that would be absolutely carnage

I always thought that survivors from past times have been thrown into the void after losing all hope. Now that you mentioned it a geisha survivor would be really cool but I doubt that will happen.
Forgot about that; I guess that would explain it nicely. But would mean that the entity exists in the same timeline and can only pull killers/survivors from its present and not from past else it'd be able to get survivors from the past too. Which means plague has been doing her ######### for a long long time.
-
no but it should hide discordance, then it would be s tier

For a lot of players it's what made playing killer bearable.
Those 24 hours were a godsend for mid-rank killers, actually going against survivors of a comparable skill level instead of sweaty bully squads.
For survivor, I didn't notice too much difference, but I didn't get any awful matches.
Even on survivor I found many matches much more balanced. There were never any dead on 5 gens or escapes with 2 hooks. Plenty of 4ks, plenty of 4 escapes, but never felt unfair, like it could go any way at any moment; they always went down to the wire for example escapes with everyone on death hooks or 4k with all gens done.
One thing it really illustrated to me; you cant judge a match based on the number of kills/escapes you get alone
-
@VolantConch1719 said:
The devs are lazy. That's literally it. They don't want to explain how a person from the 1500's perfectly understands how to repair a generator, despite the fact that MOST of the Survivors we have shouldn't be able to repair a generator.
surely they could chalk it up to the same way david king and ash dont beat the living crap out of legion; entity powers?

Dude, I saw this in a RED RANK game the other day. Dude tried to run out the exit gates with a beeping trap. The pig and I just tbagged the body for a few seconds, both thoroughly confused. Then a quick boop and I was out.
But, how do you make it to red ranks and not know this?
Pig isn't all that common a killer, and often you are trapped early on in the match rather than later, so I guess he'd never been in that position before.
Reaching red ranks isnt that hard if you have competent team mates
-
Damn, that means people might start playing him again.

I'm more inclined to believe that The Entity took the Demogorgon after it had already been killed by Eleven. I think this because if it had taken Demo early into the show, it never would have gotten to see Steve and Nancy's full potential, which is why it took them in the first place (The Entity Feeds Off Of Strong Emotions)
Not to mention, it says in Steve's backstory that he had already befriended Dustin, which only happens after Demo had been killed.
Hell maybe the two gods struck a deal with each other. I mean, The Mindflayer had millions of Demos under it's control, It probably wouldn't care if it gave one away to stay on good terms with another good.
Is it definitely the same demogorgon? I'm not sure if the entity takes the dead or not (this has always been unclear to me), if not then it would likely be a different Demogorgon which really could only be from the mind flayers realm.
I like the idea of them striking a deal though.
"Right, you can have ONE, but I want it back when you're finished! And don't let the other primordial entities know, because they'll all want one!"
-
@QwQw said:
It's kinda hard to say who would win in fight, but I'm inclined to think they're even; considering they're both inter dimensional eldritch monsters.
I will say this though, The Mind Flayer seems to be more intelligent than The Entity. It cleverly comes up with plans (See Season 3 of ST), meanwhile The Entity isn't even smart enough to figure out how to get rid of the hatch (The Hatch Wasn't Created By The Entity).
Assuming the demogorgon was under the control of the mind flayer though, that means the entity wrestled it from the flayers control and took it as its own (I think?) suggesting that, in this world at least(or the world in which it took it from), the entities influence is stronger. So would that higher cunning be enough...

consider this:
Pennywise, the mindflayer and the entity are the same being, or at least the same species:
spiderlike, otherwordly monstrosities feeding on emotion, killing people and doing mindmanipulation
Sounds like the making for one awesome triple threat match game mode. Each killer is associated with a respective all powerful being that they hunt survivors for to empower them to destroy the others. Meanwhile, Myers is in the middle murdering people for his own amusement.
I'd play it.

so basically, the final boss of resident evil 3?

sure, but also revert the nerfs too so we have 5 chain blink nurse, insta-saw billy and prayer beads spirit again so you can know real pain.

Its Vigo

Thats because you 4kd, left the trial, then went and killed the entity and took its place and now you are the new lord of the fog. GG.
-
She is one of the starter killers so everybody has access to her
She is one of the stronger killers, so everybody has an incentive to play her
Her power looks fun (on paper at least, actual results may vary)
But mostly I'd say luck, I see a lot of them but by no means most popular.
-
She denies healing which sucks for getting altruism points/ benevolence emblem. But if that's the worst of the complaints then you need some perspective.

What? Do u want pig to be nothing but a M1 killer? Might as well not even give her the bear traps if no one's going to die from them, and the RBT wouldn't waste time like it's supposed to because it's paused in chases, so just be good at chases (which is easy against pig) and get out
you cant get out with a trap on your head and you cant get a trap off if you're being chased.
That said, I'm sure they will learn the hard way. We all did, right?

If you're seeing a killer camp rush gens, if you're the one being camped try to stay on hook as long as possible. It might not be fun sitting on the hook while being camped, but the longer you're on hook the more time you give your teammates to finish gens and get out.
Crows just fly above afk survivors giving away their position, they don't hit the survivors.
Kindred and BT are good perk against campers.
This. Unlucky for the unhooked survivor but id rather just eat the depip than let a bad killer get more kills. The hooked survivor should probably get distraction points too for all repaired gens in an ideal world (They're basically filling the roll of the chased survivor just without any effort) to make it suck slightly less, but it is what it is.

Disable post game chat altogether unless you actively choose to enter it tbh.

I am yet to lose a single game to Trickster and I'm ######### at the game. He's genuinely more scary if he just M1s. The only reason I don't want him to be buffed is because I hate the whole concept of him as a killer, and right now he's so laughably bad, nobody plays him. But in terms of gameplay, I'd rather play a match with DS than play as him. Hell, i'd rather play perkless than play as him.

isn't this a thana for hooks.
kind of but does not affect repair speed and does affect healing. Repair speeds would be dreadful as it would mean gen rushing a basement camper is out of the question.
-
Looks like bad RNG
-
the whole team being 1 shot for potentially the entire game if the other totem is god tier could be a bit extreme, but I like the suggestion to make it limited to the totem breaker or obsession.
Edit - As a new perk altogether mind, current haunted ground should remain as is

Personally speaking, when I’m working on a gen on Lery’s, pan my camera, and see Myers just standing in a doorway breathing down my neck, I STILL crap my pants to this very day.
Same... ironically he's least scary when he's in t3, because you know where he is all the time and can just hide and wait it out. Or just loop him around a pallet until its over...
Scratched mirror myers on indoor maps is absolutely the most fun killer you can go against.

alright, ill compromise, so long as I get the map wide Halloween theme terror radius, the rest is up to Satan.

once had a blendette on dead dawg do nothing but hide in bushes with a key all match. nurse eventually found her, hooked her, another team mate unhooked her immediately without BT, she went down again and nurse proceeded to mori her whilst the others t bagged her during the animation and then continued to t bag her corpse, whilst the nurse stood there nodding.
it was a sweet, unifying moment. She then proceeded to finish her slaughter (no more moris though).

twins are total cancer to go against, as they are pretty much designed around camping and slugging. You cant even be mad at the player for it, its like it was by design.
-
DBD is a multiplayer game and many people want to play multiplayer games with their friends, which they cannot do as killer.
please introduce a kill with friends mode, I wanna see myers team up with ghostface before murdering him when hes finished.

his knives should probably just put you straight into dying state from healthy after 8 hits tbh, given how by the time you have filled the meter you could probably have hit them with an m1 twice.
