  • They arent even almost dead. 2 heals per match is quite enough. Also the slowness.. honest i didnt even feel it unless it was with slobby.

  • Medkits arent dead. I still heal myself 2 times per match.

  • Skull merchant is number 1 most hated for me and second would be Deathslinger... Third Trickster

  • My survivor experience is exactly the same it was before the patch. My build Adrealine, Sprint Burst We'll Make it and Reassurance still works just fine. I can still heal myself 2 times per match and i heal my teammates fast with we'll make it.

Not sure why survivors are crying about the "nerfs" they got when they don't even have to switch perks for new meta

Killers on the otherhands.... Well thats a different story.

  • I don't think she should be buffed. Problem with her is her drones and the fact she gets info about everything. I would actually nerf her drones from 4 to 3, so she can't "camp" gens with them as well.

Right now she just puts drones to gens and gets info whenever someone goes there or disarms her drone and goes back and puts another drone. Its silly. This is what makes her unbearable to play against to me.

  • Skull merchant. I probably don't need to explain why.

  • They should have nerfed prove thyself and brand new parts. Those are quite common in my games while i play survivor.

Next perk survivors will ask to be nerfed is slobby butcher and deadlock, because those will be inconvenience to them next

Sweety you are killer main- stop pretending. This is getting old. Impersonating somekind Mother Fairest “survivor main”.

Darling i have P100 Megladon and i haven't played killer in weeks. My highest killer is P20 spirit. I play both sides but i play 70/30 survivor and atm im not playing ANY killer.

  • I don't play any of these characters so its a pass for me. Only one i might ever use is Mikaelas and its a recolor. Not too bad recolor though.

Hope this wont make more SMs appear...i really cant stand them 😖

  • Sorry..taking a break from the killer side. Be back after i stop pulling my last hairs out with the sweaty matches ive had lately.

Yeah spirit is one of the rarer killers nowdays. Wesker, blight and nurse is the most common for me.

  • To be honest if someone bodyblocks me while im trying to go after the unhooker.. i'll just put you back to the hook. Don't cry tunneling after you didn't run away from the killer, it was your choice to stick around.

  • Mine would look like this.

Killers i like / hate to go against

    my-image (1).png

Killers i like / hate playing

    my-image.png

  • I'd say Quentin. Survivors with alot of outfits sell better.

  • Just enjoy the fact you havent met one. I'm disgusted by the fact she's getting a tome next. Might mean more SM.

She will be the only killer i will never play.

Whilst I appreciate your comments, your suggestion to Pain Res would actually promote slugging more than healthy gameplay - it does not promote the killer to ignore the unhooked person, it just encourages them to slug that person.

To be honest this new DH promotes tunneling. Killers are tired of Dead Hard. They don't want to deal with this perk so letting go a survivor who might have it can backfire really badly. So its better to hit them at the hook and tunnel them out. Dead hard at endgame is sometimes a crutch survivor needs to get out, believe me i know im a dead hard user i love that perk as a survivor but i know how broken that perk also is.

I think you overcatered a little bit to the survivors with this patch. You should have kept healing at 20 seconds if not that 24 seconds since you did not undo any of the killer nerfs. Coh losing selfcare is a good change, but i think you should still keep the altruistic healing at 50%. 8 Seconds heals even if altruistic shouldnt be a thing. Remember when this perk came out with 100% and how broken it was? Survivors have we'll make it, botany desperate measures, multiple healing perks to help out the healing they don't need 8 second heals from CoH. Pain res is still pretty bad. Its still better to tunnel than to get 4 individual RNG hooks that you might not even make to unless you have agitation.

I think you should undo the pop goes the weasel nerf. That was probably one of the healthiest perks the game had. Not sure why you had to nerf it. Same goes to corrupted.

Survivors will still have their gen perks + toolboxes and brand new parts. I'm not sure why you thought it was a good idea to even buff one of their gen speed perks while you completely destroy all the gen defense.

    Please think this through.

  • I would love Meg to get LONG red hair without glasses. Just simple long red hairstyle like the gypsy one but maybe longer. Tired of her Nea hairstyles.

Maybe give her little bit more feminine outfit as well.

I mean, they did. In the 6.1 update. That update occurred because of ongoing complaints from killers about a lack of perk variety among the survivors they face. They were correct of course - most survivors usually a ran a combo of DH, DS, UB, IW, etc. So the devs nerfed a bunch of them, and it worked - ive seen much more variety among survivor builds since.

They changed things up on the killer side too but that was clearly for the better, as that's where the pretty successful gen regression meta came from. Most killers I faced started running it because they had better results. So we went from no variety on survivor builds to no variety on killer builds. And BHVR is obviously trying to do away with these meta builds. I don't think anyone could deny that had they not reverted some of these healing nerfs, that a new meta would have emerged on both sides (anti-healing builds from killers and healing and/or gen builds for survivors) thus going against everything BHVR have been trying to do with these overhauls in the first place.

I mean mostly i see Is these 4 perks. Adrealine, Dead Hard, Unbreakable and resilience or windows. These are the 4-5 perks i see mostly. So i wouldnt say survivors are using "many" interesting perks. I wish people would. I really do wish the game would allow both sides to use whatever they want to, but sad truth is killers need gen regression and survivors need perks to help with camping and tunneling.

I just personally don't think this next patch is fair towards killer and keep in mind im mostly survivor player. SoloQ too or i play with my BF so duo. I hate matches that are too easy. i like challenge. I like endgames where both sides are fighting until the end.

They should have kept the DH nerf and they should have kept the CoH nerf.

Idk I see those killer perks used a few times in games. Are they strong as they were? No but killers in this game tend to be a bit dramatic and claim any nerf makes that perk less then useless

You call killers dramatic when survivors were having a major meltdown over their nerfs? Most of them got fixed or improved.

When i see ruin nowdays i dont even bother cleansing it. Its so bad. Pop is only good on a gen thats 80-90% done. Thanatophobia only works on plague. Corrupted invention is a shadow of itself. I loved that perk to death but nowdays i rather use lethal.

So you want both sides to be treated poorly, as opposed to both sides being treated better?

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3393672#Comment_3393672

I like to run mega heal-stack builds (not even necessarily CoH, it's not impressed me that much, and never with medkits), and while it can pay off and be pretty fun, there's also plenty of matches where I just don't get an opportunity to heal others, leaving those perks burning a hole in my pocket. That kind of coordination is still a bit of a pain, particularly for solo queue, so I can understand why people aren't too keen on running healing perks.

CoH feels more bluntly impactful, so it's a more popular pick, even if it isn't necessarily better.

I want both sides to be treated equal, which i am not seeing. Lately its been 1 killer perk after another one thats been destroyed to the point of no usage. This has not happened to a single survivor perk yet.

No not give me iron will or spine chill. I still see both of those a lot in my games and both of them are very usable and good perks.

  • @Firellius said:

You're not going to get 100% out of CoH though, due to the 14 second time investment of setting it up, and the restricted range. As it was, the 50% was simply not giving the perk any value, making it a flat worse version of Botany Knowledge. It needed something to be worth running.

This is not what I would've chosen, but I think it does work.

My question here is.. why do survivor perks need something worth to be running for? Theme with killers have been to destroy their perks so they won't be used anymore. So why can't they do the same for survivors? This new CoH is almost as broken as the old one. I can see it becoming an issue again. They were too scared to go through with the DH nerf so they ..balanced it. Making it so we will again see 8 DH in 1 match.

So answer why can't they give the survivor perks that are clearly overused and overperfoming the same treatment they have given killers?

Point to these metashake ups is to make killers and survivors use different perks, but obviously it only affects killers since survivors will just continue using the same perks as they do now.

It may actually be stronger now, but only because it's a scourge perk. Take that away and it's definitely worse.

Current PR takes 7 hooks to inflict 105% regression.

New PR will take 4 hooks to inflict 100% regression.

However, you need to hook more strategically, and choose the right hook at the right time based on gen progress to maximise the regression. If it triggered on any first hook, you lose that choice.

Doesn't take away the fact that sometimes you lose all value due to hook placements. Agitation is almost needed sometimes to even make it to the hooks.

Like i said i won't be using it, but im planning on going 100% survivor at least for a while. See how the game goes with the new stuff.

  • It should not be a scourge hook anymore. Many times i've lost value of scourge hook simply due to the hook placements. So i probably won't be using it.

  • I will stop playing killer after these changes. I'm already burning out on that side due to the sweaty matches, and with these changes i don't see much improvement for the killers. I already was 70% survivor so might as well become 100%

See you on the survivor side.

But would you go after unhooker if he has 3 health state versus one on unhooked? Now it will be 2 health state vs 2 health state. Actually with the change you don't have to tunnel it's worth to chase someone else especially if you use new pr 25% regression. I will personally tunnel lot less with these changes.

If i go after the person who got unhooked he or she will be injured and if you hit them during BT they can't use DH anymore. So techically this new DH courages people to tunnel as well. This way you make sure they wont come bodyblock later on with DH in their arsenal. Thats why im saying nothing really changed on the tunneling aspect. Killers will tunnel if they want to tunnel. If killer doesnt wanna deal with DH tunneling is the best option.

Its not like they get insta healed off the hook and im assuming they still need to press that famous E and time it right.

Also i won't use this new pain res. I rather use pop which at least will work during the whole match.

    Good Survivors weren't using Self-Care.

Likewise, if you are using only Jolt and you are playing against optimal players, why should you win? You are handicapping yourself and they aren't.

Because i don't want to be playing with jolt, corrupted, eruption and deadlock. Also all those perks are kinda poopoo.

I love using some info perks, and i love slobby. I won't play with 4 crappy gen defenses.

Also youd be surprised how many 2-3k hour survivors ive seen using self care...at those hours they should know better.

In perfect world id like this game to be balanced so killers can actually use perks for chasing and for info without having to worry about gens flying which is the case now.

  • @Pulsar said:

CoH is now a risk reward perk.

You need to take the time to set up a Boon and you need two Survivors to heal with it. All of that is essentially free time for me as a Killer.

I expect this to be a somewhat fair patch, though it is difficult to tell. I don't expect it to affect my kill rates much.

For me lately gen speeds and healing have been an issue, and i think it will continue to be the same. This new CoH speed will be really broken with SWFS and good survivors will bring a healing perk like we'll make it to the game instead of self care.

I'm little worried since ive been playing with Jolt only lately and against good survivors i have to sweat and tunnel my ass off..which isnt fun.

Pushing people away from tunneling and camping is always a W, imo.

I mean to be hooonest... if im 100% honest here this new DH change will actually give me a reason to tunnel

If i hit the person off the hook they get endurance effect and they can't use their DH. Makes more reason to tunnel them so they can't use it right.

Not saying i will im just saying NOTHING changed. This update is really survivor sided, and as much as i love the medkit change i don't think CoH should have been 100% again. Survivors will just use we'll make it anyways so nothing changes. People will be healed fast and killers will struggle at higher MMR, now with worse perks.

Billy buff is nice. He deserves it. I think i will take a break from killer side.

  • I don't see that addon as a problem, but i guess im going to get called biased. Dried cherry blossom is for people that can't have the best headset or are hard of hearing so let that addon be.

Maybe they could adjust the speed or MDR but then scratch marks should become available as well.

I stopped using MDR cherry combo since the cherry started to screw me over. It showed the heartbeat kinda.. late i could say. I'm used to playing without it now so having the cherry blossom screws me badly and i swing and miss quite often.

  • Heres mine. Megladon and Spirit girl are my main characters, but rest are something i play fairly often. I am leveling Ada right now but im not putting her here since she has 2 outfits.

  • Its easier to 360 killers as survivor when the killer is console and you can't play all the killers as good as you would on PC.

You are going to miss filters as well if you play console. I would always recommend playing this game on PC

The other perks are bad though especially if you only play solo que THATS WHY WE DONT USE THEM

I play soloQ and i play with perks like adrealine, we'll make it. Sprint burst and reassurance. I do fine. Not sure why the rest of you can't put 1 perk to help out your healing.

You know windows of opportunity is pretty useless perk you can replace that easily and LEARN the maps <3

  • Sure i'll play. I just pop in 1 of the healing perks and im good. No reason to lose my head over this update. Its a meta shakeup and it means you need to learn to play with different perks, and its good.

New rift..sure but i heard its SM rift and i absolutely hate her :P I'll still buy the rift but i refuse to play her so her tome tasks will stay unfinished for me FOREVER!! MUHAHAHAH

Yes but they just overnerfed everything call of brian and overcharge could be left with 150% regression so they would still be useful but not overly oppressive in 3 gen situation and they could just remove the synergy stacking with each other. Pain res could be just changed you have to hook different survivor each time to it work. Overall I think gens should been increased to 100s as that woulf bit nerf gen rush swf:s.

Altruistic healing should left to be 16s only med kits and coh needed nerf which were overnerfed as well. Dead hard needed nerf but instead it could activate after being unhooked so you could still go after unhooker now it's not worth it to go after someone with 3 health state instead just one. Overall dead hard should get few other nerf itself while you activate it you should not be able to drop pallet or vault a window for few secs. This would give it to more fair counterplay.

For hillbilly nerfs I don't know what to say. Blight and nurse will be OP after this update and especially the first has most broken add ons in the game and they were left untouched.

I agree they went heavy on the nerfs. The self healing should probably stay at 24 seconds and the medkit nerfs should stay, but altruistic healing should be back to 16 seconds. NO ONE in their right mind should use self care anyways as a perk. Medkits are still powerful so 24 seconds is fine for a selfheal.

Recovering at the ground is also nerfed which is really bad and should be back to normal. It takes way too long to recover from slug now.

Brine... well lets just say how it is that perk got destroyed. It is useless now. Same with overcharge. Same with scrouge. IF they do decide to go back on the healing nerfs they need to go back on these perks nerfs as well. This is what im personally little scared. They will undo the survivor nerfs but leave the massive killer perk nerfs in completely destroying the balance again.

Killers have been consistently handfed for 6 years of this game and still currently begging for more. Like someone mentioned above killers are in a spot where they can deny loops and even make up the lost distance in chase at loops

While survivors are consistently kicked down and gutted to where they've to hold hands with each other to play

You shouldn't be able to pick up killer and instantly master it get 4k every match

OK then... i see you can't see this game from both sides or with clear glasses.. so have a nice day <3

  • They can't balance the game for new survivors. People will learn by playing the game. Lets not handfeed them everything shall we? I have 3000 hours in this game and i'm still learning.

With my hours i do get decent survivors in my soloQ lobbies and if killers don't play good they get destroyed.

  • @Nirgendwohin said:

and as a soloQ player, how should i know what perks my fellow players have and whether it makes sense to let me heal? With crossplayer you can't even talk in the prelobby chat about your build

I play soloQ too and hopefully with time survivors will smarten up to put at least 1 perk to help healing. You don't need 4 perks to help healing 1 will be enough.

SoloQ isnt as bad as people make it to be. Sure you'll get bad eggs there sometimes, but if your MMR is at least midrange survivors know what to do and wont hide in corners and self care against slobby, and have decent perks to counter killers.

  • Why do people just completely forget perks that help healing speeds?

You know perks get nerfed so other perks can shine. Now healing gets nerfed so maybe its time to start using perks that help healing?

Stop using the same 4-5 perks and try something new once in a while.

  • Yeah i had match yesterday where wraith was using merciless and gens popped instant 50% with that if you failed a skillcheck.

I've seen many killers use this perk lately and something that takes 50% off with failed skillcheck should be killswitched.

  • Could you killswitch this perk? It takes 50% out of the gens which is silly and there are killers abusing this bug atm.

  • @Firellius said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3383212#Comment_3383212

You wanna know why the +10 seconds of gen time didn't reduce the need for slowdowns?

Because the same patch that added that gentime also made BT obsolete, killed DS, and by extension, made unbreakable extremely unreliable. With killers getting the green light to slug, camp, and especially tunnel, survivors had to adjust to games where killers could cut corners to kill much faster.

Hence the increase in BNP, Prove Thyself, and other means of genrush.

It's perfectly balanced, you see? It's not what -anyone- wanted or asked for, but it is balanced.

Old DS was broken. Don't sit there and tell me it wasnt. I got so many free escapes due to old DS and old DH it was ridiculous.

Those perks needed to be toned down and they arent the reason gens still go by fast. Reason is that there is perk called prove thyself which i see usually at least 2 people have. Also toolboxes and brand new parts havent been fixed. Still ridiculously OP.

I even see some hyperfocus stakeout builds. ( not as big issue as prove thyself is though ) .

Survivors got BT as basekit so they literally got meta perk always with them and could replace bt in their kits.

Killers have been asking shadowborn as basekit...SHADOWBORN but they havent gotten it. Survivors might get a second META perk as basekit..while killers havent gotten 1 tiny shadowborn.

Pain Ressonance nerf is bizarre, first because you must down a survivor to be able to use it, second because is not guaranteed you will have the Scourge Hooks close from where you are, a really think that maybe a cool down would be better, mainly to avoid camping and hooking another survivor on the same hook again.

Hurts me alot wasting time doing a long chase and then letting the survivor go and get healed after 10 seconds while I lost 2 gens. If you don´t wanna to get rushed as a killer you have 3 options: Corrupt Intervention (more defensive), Lethal Pursuir (more agressive) and Deadlock (that will give you 30 seconds to down someone before next gen pumps). A killer don´t have too many options when facing 12 other different perks full of second chances and massive add-ons that allows 25% of a gen or 3 heals in seconds. It´s insane bro... Take a look and see: Survivors playing with frinds laughing, listening music, telling jokes and in the other side you have a desperate player having 100% of attention because ONE little mistake can ruin his whole game. This is not balanced...

And before someone say that I don´t want people having fun with the game I want to say that ALL players should have fun, not just the survivors.

Many times i used pain ress and never even got value out of it due to hooks being in bad places, so yeah i agree this change will make pain ress useless.

Why would anyone use a RNG perk like this which gives very little value after the nerf only 4 times.

  • I don't mind the gen perks being nerfed, but what im little afraid is going to happen that they take down the healing from 24 seconds to 20, but wont fix the gen perks to 150% or so.

Killers will need that extra 8 seconds to healing if 3 of their most powerful gen slowdown perks are getting nerfed by 75%-70%.

We could just wait and see what happens and panic later right :)

I really think you're overreacting tbh. With Medkits, CoH and Dead Hard nerfed, I can see myself winning a lot of games that, in the past, I lost. Killers will adjust their builds like they always have, but Medkits and CoH are pretty irreplaceable, and without DH punishing me for picking certain Killers, forcing me to give up easy hits out of fear, or extending chases to a degree that no other Exhaustion perk can, I can end chases much faster.

And i think survivors are overreacting. People are already running resilience + adrealine so nothing on that will change, but the fact that people are so unwilling to try new stuff is silly.

Gen regression has been the meta for killer since the patch they buffed pop from 30 seconds to 60. Killer currently does not have good gen regression perks, and these perks are healthy for the game when they require downs for the progression.

I loved pop. I don't really use much gen regression. Used brine mostly, but i see a lot matches where killers get 1-2 downs since we do gens pretty fast and survivors can run more than 10 seconds.

I suppose ill go using jolt after the update, deadlock has never really been my thing.

Forcing survivors to use 4 slots for Botany to go back to 16sec is a thing. If killers actually decide to use Sloppy. It may build survivors' habit to change to all 4 Gen perks and rush instead. Which something Killers dont want.

No ones asking you to use all 4 slots. I'm sure you can take your windows of opportunity off for botany to make the healing little easier. Or put on we'll make it, or auto ditact which will become really good after this next patch.

I would think they would just revert the PR nerf entirely. Feels like that perk really was just nerfed because it would be op in combination of the base healing nerfs.

Sadly i have a feeling they will revert the 16 seconds but they will not revert any of the killer nerfs. This has been a theme lately.

Survivors don't understand how much time killers will lose with these nerfs, but they just keep thinking about themselfs and their 4 precious perks they don't want to take off to try something new.

Before someone calls me a killer main... i play 80% survivor nowdays so no.. i just happen to see game from both sides.

  • Or people could just go with the flow and actually learn to use new perks that speed up healing. Instead of always relying on the same 4 perks. Survivors have multiple perks to speed up healing.

  • If they revert the overall healing back to 16 seconds i think fair trade is to make Brine and overcharge then 150%. Healing nerf is there to slow down the game due to gen perks being heavily nerfed.

  • I doubt nothing much will change even with the new perk changes. She's still going to be using the same perks and stay on her little area with her little drones.

She's not fun to go against now and i doubt will ever be.

"You can't nerf killers only and expect nothing to happen to survivors."

Killers didn't get nerfed, killer perks got nerfed.

The trade-off for this is an unconditional nerf to -all- survivors. That is not a fair trade-off. Anyone who didn't use these major slowdown perks is going to get a monstrous, no questions asked buff.

Imagine if DH and CoH were hit but the animations for picking up a survivor and hooking one got extended by one second. That would be horrible. Not only would this slow killers down unconditionally, it'd also have a knock-on effect where it's practically exploitable.

This is going to make the game worse. If survival rates don't plummet, there's going to be a major increase in genrush to compensate for the fact that you can't heal anymore, much like genrushing saw an increase when anti-tunnel was removed.

I'm not even going to bother explaining why this nerf is needed... If survivors can't see how powerful medkits + healing + CoH are then..i have nothing to say. LIke i said i play mostly survivor nowdays and even i found healing to be disgustingly powerful.

Anyways im done. At least i can see things from both sides.

I used Brine by the way..and scourge hook, yet i can still understand the nerf behind them. I will start using Jolt or Deadlock. Its fine. Im glad i get to use different builds instead of always relying on the same gen regression. Slobby has always been with me and it will stay. Survivors have always been scared of being injured, nothing is going to change their willingness to heal. Nowhere to hide. Love me that perk always with me.
