I recommend playing her and learning how she works. You can clearly hear which way she's coming from.
Crouching is a great way to throw her off her game unless shes using 1 certain add on that let's her know kinda where you are.
If you walk or run in grass spirit can see the grass move so i recommend sometimes staying still. She will have to come out of her phase to find you. Crank up those turtlebeaches so you can hear her well.
Good spirits are hard to counter just like blight and nurse, but not impossible, and most of her addons are kinda poopoo now too, meaning she lost most of her "OP" addons. Some say dried cherry blossom is still strong and i agree, but lately ive seen 1 spirit in a week so going against them isnt that big of a deal when you see 4 blights per day.

The game is over when either the last survivor escapes or the last survivor is eliminated. If the norm is to be just eliminate 2 survivors and you win then there is no incentive for survivors to keep trying at this point. They have to become perfect at the game for the same outcome. This is a fairness and balance issue. The problem in these situations is that the favor of the match too quickly shifts to the killer. If there were scaling in gen requirements based on survivor eliminations it would still be fair for the killer, because they still have 2 eliminations and only need 2 more. If less gens were required and they repaired faster based on the circumstance it would give the remaining survivors more incentive to play and try. The killer should gain an advantage in these situations, but not this much of an advantage. Even when 1 survivor is eliminated a lot of survivors just simply give up or don't try as hard because they can already see how it is likely going to end and the truth is, they're usually right.
So because survivors are losing they should have easier winning conditions? Why? You won't win every game you are in and it doesnt give you an excuse to hide 40 minutes from the killer. Ive had multiple survivors try to hide from me so i will DC and give the win to them. I've reported every single one of them.
This is why ultimate weapon is in my arsenal since it helps me find these corner hopping hiders. If you are losing the game just accept it and try to do the gens. Don't become annoyance and entitled because the game didnt go your way.
-
Tombstone Myers and Bubba still whack you off the hook. Otherwise its ok.
-
Meg might have a lot of cosmetics but let's be honest here most of them are recolors or just horrible outfits with short hairs.
No feminity in most of them. She has the gypsy one that to this day is my favorite.
I don't think her lore says anything about her being a streetkid or a tomboy so why are you making her look like a Nea?
-
Its fine for me. tome is halfway done. I just treat every match like normal and rarely go into the void since its kinda pointless anyways. You get plenty of bloodpoints just by playing the match normally.
-
She's easy to play and gets free haste + stealth and i'd even say she gets free injures by doing nothing. Survivors have to leave loops or they get injured and slowed.
Her gameplay at the moment is put a drone get stealth wait for survivor to leave loop get injured get haste down the survivor. Fun gameplay.
-
Shes still a GG next killer for me. I don't like the fact that she still gets free haste + slows down survivors for doing nothing. Also easy undetectable.
-
I'm not going to change my build. I like my MFT, DH, Resilience and Distortion build. Distortion i can change to we'll make or adrealine once in a while. I started using distortion mostly due to nurses and selfish teammates. In EU servers matches are pretty much nurse nurse blight blight wesker. some random killer here back to nurse. I'm not selfish distortioner though i take chase and hooks if needed :)
Seen alot of selfish teammates that hide behind perks lately too, wont even save from the hook.
When MFT gets nerfed i'll switch back to my old main build which is Lithe, Adrealine, We'll make it and Off The Record.

There is OTR, extremely strong perk.
But not an anti-tunnel perk since it is hardcountered by tunnelling.
There is Borrowed time
Might buy you an extra hit, but you can't use it yourself.
There is DS. Sure it got nerfed but i wouldn't say its useless. Sure its useless against nurse and blight but what isn't. Use it smart. Go down near good loop and DS can buy you plenty of extra time
And if there's no good loop nearby, you're F'd because it got hard-nerfed for no particular reason.
add little sprinkle of DH with it and i'd say you have pretty damn good anti tunnel build. DH alone is now antitunnel perk. Is it hard to use and misses time to time..sure but it's absolutely better than nothing.
So you now need to use two perks for a harder to use, less reliable version of what one perk used to do by itself, consistently.
None of this changes that anti-tunnel got gutted out of the game.
You mean the old DS that gave survivors free escape in end game? Sure it was stronger and busted. Would i buff DS back to 5 seconds.. Sure but the endgame use needs to stay gone.
SO you rather use useless perks like windows and whatever i see lately a lot (self care) not joking.. than good perks that might buy you more time and even an escape? I've gotten so much value out of OTR and bought my team time to finish the last gen or get gen done.
No ones forcing you to use perks that might help you, but you can't go saying there isn't perks for tunneling when there is plenty. You refuse to use them.

Almost like the anti-camp is non-existent and the anti-tunnel got gutted out of the game.
There is OTR, extremely strong perk. There is Borrowed time. People don't use it anymore since half of it is basekit. There is DS. Sure it got nerfed but i wouldn't say its useless. Sure its useless against nurse and blight but what isn't. Use it smart. Go down near good loop and DS can buy you plenty of extra time. add little sprinkle of DH with it and i'd say you have pretty damn good anti tunnel build. DH alone is now antitunnel perk. Is it hard to use and misses time to time..sure but it's absolutely better than nothing.
People rather use windows and turn their brains off and see the pretty yellows instead of using actually good perks.

People might have just gone to play other games until new updates come to DBD. Same happened to me. I still play DBD, mostly survivor and i'm having ok games in soloQ. I've taken the attitude that you cannot escape 100% and its fine.
New games came out lately too which might be the reason that playerbase went down. TCM, Cyberpunk got a DLC, Starfield, Mortal Combat. I myself am enjoying Cyberpunk atm and other RPGs :)
-
Another missed opportunity to give spirit nice outfit...
-
That perk wont help you learn the maps since you'll just turn off your brain and look at the pretty yellow pallets and windows.
Personally i don't like windows players since they tend to throw pallets left and right down leaving nothing for others. It should have a cooldown.
-
I have the same issue. Red and yellow ping all the time. In EU servers. My internet is fine. Am i being thrown to NA servers?
-
This week and last weekend has been hell in soloQ. Usually i have decent time since i understand i won't escape every single match but this week...i played 4 hours..i escaped 3 times. Then another 4 hours. I escaped 2 times.
Some is my own fault i make mistakes as well sure, but BUT BUT heres the kicker i have had in every match 1 or 2 teammates that hide.. they don't do gens they have usually 0 hooks in the end and they don't save from hooks.. they are selfish and self care for hours and hide in lockers. Quite often you'll see perks like self care, distortion urban evasion, solo survivor etc on them. I have almost 3500 hours in this game and i would assume people with these kind of hours wouldn't play like this so im guessing i'm getting fresh players or players with less than 1000 hours in the game with me.
Then another thing... my matches ( in eu btw ) wesker blight nurse wesker blight nurse. Random lower tier killer then back to wesker blight nurses and they play like their life depends on it. By this i mean most blights i meet tunnel you off the hook and kill you at 5 gens. I guess this is what happens when people just demand to nerf everything about every killer... Also i don't think i should get 5k+ hour killer with P100 and comp background and then in the same match get these hiding survivors that are afraid of their own shadow.. there's no way that match goes well.
-
Sorry to break your bubble but TCM has become just as toxic. I'd even argue it has more toxicity now since the voice chat + normal chat. Ive heard and read so much horrible things already and i only have 20 + hours in the game. ( reason i have so little hours is because im already bored of the game and stopped playing due to the unbalanced mess and toxicity ) People wait at the "exitgates" and theres no endgame so if the family doesnt go watch them Tbag they can just hold you in the game. Also the endgame chat has been quite the cluster...F... of people yelling slurs to eachother.
Also it has lost most of the PC players i think 4k+ players remain atm from 17k.
All this being said. Why can't both games just live their own lives? Play what you enjoy playing and let others play what they enjoy playing. 1 game does not have to "kill" another one. Both can co exist.
DBD needs to stop pushing new survivors and killers + perks in the game. Do 1 good healthupdate. Leave the DLCs and just concentrate on the health of the game. Give us more stuff to do, new gamemode even maybe. I think most of us would be extremely happy if you would instead of a new DLC give us healthpatch and game improvement patch.
-
I did it pretty easily in soloQ. Use empathy maybe even put saboteur on so you'll see which hooks are nearby the downed survivor.
-
Your posts are getting worse and worse. Take a break from the game? Seems like you are burning out and annoyed by everything lately. Xeno isn't that strong. She's strong yeah but she has counterplay. Tail is pretty easy to dodge too if you can time it right.
If she made a loud noise everytime she uses the tail i think most good survivors would dodge her attack. The tail attack is way more punishing than nemmys tentacle and easier to miss.
Game has bigger issues right now than some whimsy tail attack.
-
Hitboxes are way too small. Multiple times i tried to hit 1 and somehow missed even though i was right next to it. Wasted a lot of time smacking 1 turret.
I only played few games since i hate playing the sweat hours, but i hated the turrets.. i understand why they are in the game but oh boy i hate them. At least fix the hit box so i can break one without clawing it 4 times.
-
I mean what ive noticed in TCM is that on the victim side DCs don't matter much. I've been able to escape just fine after people dcing. Victim side feels more lonely in that game and it's more like everyone for themselfs. Family side on the other hand if someone dcs or is afk it hurts. You need team work on that side which is why i like family side more.
in DBD if 1 survivor dcs at the beginning and the killer is at least somewhat ok you won't win that game or escape. Killer DCs..well theres no game. This is why DC's don't work in DBD and penalty has to be in to prevent it from happening.
-
If DBD gets global servers like TCM or servers based on chosen language then sure add voice chat which can be muted if needed, But atm playing in EU servers i would never ever keep my voice chat on.
-
WASD for movement, Shift for running and Control for crouch. Basic settings for me works for the best. I have keybinded E to my mouse button though.
-
I use reshade. Game looks million times better with it.

I agree it needs competition, however saying TCM will give it competition is like saying oh left 4 dead will give it compition cause there both a symmetrical games, and are both horror when they are clearly two different completely games who does different things. Or freaking dead space cause they are both horror. VHS was considered a competitor cause the game modes and how they played were very similar. TCM will not give it any compitition. They aren't anywhere near the same. Friday the 13 game was a comlititor again cause of similar gameplay. TCM will have no effect on DBD. The devs of TCM even said they aren't trying to compete with DBD,and if you even look at the steam charts 13k are playing TCM while 29k are playing DBD.
it's the only thing that can give any kind of competition at the moment though. Yeah they are different and that's a good thing. I wouldnt play a straight copy of DBD. I do see few problems in TCM already. One is Connie. She's too strong and can escape before killers even notice. Two voice chat. People who can use voice chat will be better at the game ( kinda like in dbd ) Three. Maps. They will get repetitive as you learn them and as a survivor you will learn to escape faster and faster.
This being said i still hope they do well.
-
Personally i hope TCM does well and gives little competition to DBD. Competition is not a bad thing. It can start pushing behaviour to do better. Right now they have no competition so they can get lazy and not care about the health of their game.
Its ok to have multiple games that do well, and it's ok to play more than 1 game and enjoy both.
I will play TCM as well, but i will also play DBD.
-
TCM feels fun and chill now because it just opened. Give it few weeks, month and people will become competitive.
I'm already seeing same issue arrise. People who are in voice chats usually do better than people that are completely silent. Problem is voice chat especially in EU will not work. Language barrier in some countries and the toxicity in others is going to keep my mic very much muted at least. I hope i can queue with friends as killer and survivor since i don't want to hear people eating their mics and yelling slurs.
-
I saw you answering to me in the skull merchant topic so im just going to assume or guess that you might be playing skull merchant. I know its frustrating when people DC, but you can't expect us to play against her. It has nothing to do with entitlement.
I do agree on the fact that you shouldnt play just to make others happy since it will eventually make you unhappy. You are playing this game for yourself.
I personally try to play as fair and nicely as possible and as a survivor i never BM the killer, since making someone elses day worse gives me nothing in life.
-
I just don't enjoy going against her no matter how she plays. I don't think 1 killer should get info on survivors all the time + haste + exposed + undetectable + being anti looper and 3 genner.
Sorry but no thank you!
-
As long as the game is based on kills and escapes tunneling is fair.
Do i like tunneling at 4-5 gens off the hook without going after another person.. no i do not. Do i get so mad about it that i throw a tandrum and flip my desk.. nope.
Also not all tunneling is done to " ruin the survivor experience in the game". Sometimes the killer has no other choice but to return the pressure back to the survivors thus tunneling out the 1 thats been hooked before.
Survivors yell tunneler nowdays while taking BT bodyblocks and literally running straight to the killer after being unhooked and expecting the killer not to go after them.
I personally only see it as tunneling when killer 3 hooks 1 survivor before 2 gens are done. Survivors need to drop this "killers need to mind my fun" mentality as well. Survivors very rarely mind the killers fun.
-
I think they can't nerf nurse or blight due to the comp scene. What other killer can handle comp matches than blight and nurse. Nerf them and there is no more comp.
-
Biggest problem at the moment is that there is never a TV to get a tape from when you need one. Even if you take one at the beginning with very high chance you have to return it sometime and get another 1.
I've died to the fact that i could not find tv while doing circles on the map since other survivors + Sadako were closing them.
-
I was wondering this as well. Also will bot come fully healed with 2 hook stages if someone dces or crashes at 1-2 gens left? That would be little silly. Bots are bots but they will still do gens while killer chases the actual players.
-
I'm guessing these dev notes were done long time ago, so mft wasnt in the game or in the devs eyes yet. Maybe in the next patch something is done to the haste stacking but for now let's enjoy more perks that give endurance!
No really the notes were good only issue i have is that buckle up becomes another endurance perk.
Just take a break from killer side and enjoy survivor. that's what im going to do.
-

Its the only perk in the game that is making people not run exhaustion perks.
Would have been interesting to see this in its current state and old DH, which would get picked more.
To be honest there is 1 exhaust perk that works perfectly with MFT... its called Dead hard.

No, I read your comment quite clearly. Bloodlust is haste, but instead of it being a perk it's baked into killers as a base-game mechanic and rewards you not for outplaying a survivor but for simply being faster than them.
Yet here people are complaining that MFT is absolutely busted when bloodlust exists and provides killers with haste. If MFT is busted, then so too is Bloodlust.
I give up.. Ok we agree to disagree.
-
@Kaitsja said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3470177#Comment_3470177
Then we should do away with bloodlust, no? Given that it gives killers up to 15% extra movement speed.
You really didn't read my message clearly did you. Why is bloodlust in the game? Think about it? Because maps are unbalanced some are size of texas and some killers are slow and need bloodlust not to chase survivors through 5 gens getting 0 hooks.
If killer chases you until they have max bloodlust you've already ran him or her long enough to get few gens done, and honest at that point the killer has screwed up.
Sure when maps are balanced and there are no infinites ( there is multiple of those ) sure then lets check the bloodlust situation. Survivors do not need easy 3% haste or even worse 10% in the endgame. ( with hope )
-
People also need to understand that not all killers have exhaust addons. Fearmonger is easy to get rid off and blood echo has horrible cooldown.
Giving eather side haste perks is a slippery slope and we are now going downhill fast. As long as maps are unbalanced and huge i don't think survivors should get haste perks or at least not perks that are as easily given as made for this is with no cooldown or anything. I'm not sure who had this great idea to even make it stack with other haste perks.
This is simply a perk that makes good or avarage survivors even better. On a survivor that is already afraid to do much while injured and doesn't know the maps and loops yeah this perk might not do much.

Eruption hurt solo players while SWFs laughing to it. It was very unfair perk. CoB was fine tho
And MFT + Hope and even MFT hurts M1 killers and even 4.4 killers. Its the same thing isnt it? People will always defend powerful perks and MFT would be probably ok on its own but the fact that it stacks with hope and other haste perks is the problem, at least in my eyes. Keep the perk i don't care but take the stacking away.

Not in the same way, imo.
Lethal is interesting. It's a good perk that the vast majority of players will never utilize to its full potential that also had calls for nerfs.
Hyperfocus is interesting. It's basically the same situation as MFT. Hypothetically, Hyperfocus is extremely OP. In practicality, not so much.
MFT is a win harder perk. It will not carry you to wins that you do not deserve. There are FEW perks left that can and I think that's probably for the best.
I do think MFT is carrying people to wins they don't deserve. Been using MFT + hope lately and ive gotten easy escapes which i probably didnt always deserve. Personally i'd just be happy if they take the haste stacking off. Thats my biggest issue.
Getting to endgame doesnt mean you should get easy escape as a survivor.
-
Eruption was interesting. Call Or Brine was interesting. Why couldn't killers keep them? You see where this is going right
-
Yes, After next DLC hits and we have even worse perks to worry about.
-
Personal favorites Slobby Butcher, Pop Goes The Weasel, Scourge Hook Pain res and Nowhere to hide. You get some healing slowdown, gen slowdown and info.
Corrupt invention is must for setup killers, Deadlock wont hurt eather.
Lethal pursuer is good too, sometimes even better than corrupt in my opinion.

Statistics probably go against all these people being loud and complaining about MfT.
If data showed that escape rates skyrocketed, I'd think that would be indicator that the perk is doing a lot. If they aren't changing it, its because the data most likely is not agreeing with all these complaints. I know some people who think its busted and others who think its fine. Just because 10 people agree with you that a perk is busted to 1 person saying its okay doesn't make you correct.
I don't trust their " statistics " anymore. Do i need to remind you about perks that were in this game for years and they were extremely broken but nothing was done * cough dead hard cough *
CoH was extremely broken perk too when it came out and it took them a while to nerf it. Even though they shouldnt even let that perk in the game as it was.
Funny thing is that it didnt take them as long to nerf eruption or now singularity addons that no one was even complaining.
I think behaviour is just extremely slow with survivor perks because we all know survivors are the majority of the player base.
-
Good time to take a break from the killer side again. I already took 3-4 month break wen't back after this event started and every single match i see 2-3 people with made for this + hope.
Getting to endgame isnt that hard guys. These 2 perks together are absolutely disgusting. Tried it myself. Killer could not catch up to me. Even made for this alone felt like i had old dead hard sometimes. I reached to windows and pallets i would not have otherwise.
Made for this - Hope - Resilience + whatever 4th perk you choose is extremely powerful at the moment.
If you really want to keep made for this as it is at least make it so haste does not stack. So if you have made for this + hope . Hope is the highest haste you will get and made for this will not add anything to it. To me biggest problem is the stacking.
-
Trapper for buffs. Nurse for nerfs. Rework for Skullmerchant
-
I mean killers and other survivors can see who brought which offering... I'm just saying some killers will tunnel the person out just because they didn't bring a cake. You might just be hurting yourself even more here.
Also that is very silly and childish behaviour but you do you. In the end it's just a game and you lose nothing by bringing that cake. You get more 100% when you get out of that game.
-
Yeah. Had a skullmerchant who insta teleported to us and killed us all in less than 1 minute. No worries though she's already banned me thinks.
-
Hmm
M: Wesker Or Ghosty. Problem with ghosty is that he would probably scare me everyday creeping around and stalking me in corners. Wesker would only have 7 minutes for me..
F: Trickster I mean..he's hot
K: Skullmerchant. For obvious reasons.
-
My biggest issue is that most survivors that complain about soloQ put it purely on the killers fault. People need to see some fault in the team and even in themselfs sometimes.
If you all die at 5 gens left something had to happen. Eather the killer was way above your MMR rating or you guys were hiding and doing totems instead of gens.
Tunneling and camping sucks when it happens straight at 5 gens, but not every single game can be like that. If so i feel for you thats some bad luck.
If killer camps from 5 gens good survivors will still get 2-3 man out of that match usually. Tunneling is a different story. if the killer tunnels the weaker link then yeah the group is screwed since they will go down fast instead of looping the killer for long.
I played 4 hours today. I'd say my matches were pretty good. I escaped little over half of my matches and i think thats enough. We had few 4man outs few 3 man outs and some 1-2 man outs and hatch matches. No slugging happened. No camping. Not even hard tunneling today <3
Of course there will always be people that just want to be toxic jerks. Nothing you can do about it, but not everyone is like that so when someone is slugging on the ground for 4 minutes don't blame the whole killer playerbase for always slugging and tunneling and camping. Also same goes for survivor. :)

It's not case for me. My teammates are usually good and altruistic. But then killers are playing with very boring ways. Like tunnelling, proxy camping etc. And sadly this makes games unfun.
And i am not even talking about Blights, sweat lords. And it's big surprise the most tunneller killer is also the strongest killer. Even Trappers are playing more fair than Nurses and Blights.
I just want they out from tunnelling and camping. And makes different strategies stronger. Like Pop. This perk was amazing before nerf. Killers left hook for kicking gens. But genius BHVR nerfed it for no reason.
I do agree that i see nurses and blights have the mentality to turbo tunnel 1 person out at 5-4 gens. Which is silly since they are strong enough to play the game without tunneling.
I've played 8 matches today as survivor. I escaped 5 so far. I died in matches where i got tunneled by a nurse and 2 matches survivors left me to hook while NOED was active. They were only hiding at the doors without even looking for the totem.
I think escaping 5 matches is pretty damn good! I dont need to escape every match! That would be silly
(edit 9 matches now..got another 5 gen tunneling nurse..i died to first hook by choice)
