Which perk(s) are must have for a Killer?

Comments

  • Hex plaything, good for almost every killer.

Save the Best for Last, great on M1 killers.

Shadowborn, great if you feel motion sick with current cameras.

Any aura reading perks, allow you to plan much more easily and are more forgiving.

Corrupt Intervention, great early game perk for setup or if you want to spread pressure before getting a down. Oni is an example of the latter.

Sloppy Butcher, generic perk but helps killers who spread hits to make survivors waste more time healing.

Deadlock, a great perk to know how many gens are worked on or to stall more time for a down or injure.

pop or eruption, Great perks that synergize well and reward you for decent chases a win more, kind of perks.

Generally, these perks are used by a wide array of killers but more detailed perks should be used on certain killers. Like thanatophobia on plague and Legion, etc.

  • Corrupt and PR.

  • Depends on what you mean by the title. Do we mean perks that are needed to win or perks that are generally good for a killer?

If we are talking about the former, literally no perk is needed. If you think this way, for either side may I add, you either have a poor mentality, you're too reliant on a perk or you're playing in a tournament where perks do actually matter.

If we are talking about the latter, a generally good build is Pain Resonance/Pop, Deadlock, Corrupt Intervention and then the last perk should be something that tailors towards your killer.

  • Personal favorites Slobby Butcher, Pop Goes The Weasel, Scourge Hook Pain res and Nowhere to hide. You get some healing slowdown, gen slowdown and info.

Corrupt invention is must for setup killers, Deadlock wont hurt eather.

Lethal pursuer is good too, sometimes even better than corrupt in my opinion.

  • Lethal Pursuer to teach you spawns.

BBQ and Chili to teach you basic survivor movements.

Save The Best For Last to help M1 killers in chase.

Brutal Strength because... Just play with it once and you'll know. It feels so much better.

Zanshin Tactic's can teach you a lot about maps as well.

Most important is Shadowborn. Use it once and you'll never want to unequip it. Only problem is you then have 3 perks plus Shadowborn, so a quite a few builds are off the table. At least until we get a FOV slider.
