  • No it doesn't 'allow for more slots to be used!' it forces you to use other things which is horrible considering the reason WHY regression perks are needed still hasn't been addressed

I was saying it before and repeat again: for some reason in DbD Ada looks like she is 12 years old (both face and body structure)

I hate you so much I never saw it before but now that I look at it after you said that...I CANT UNSEE CHILD ADA

  • I look over and see someone go from healthy to deep wound...then another person go from healthy to deep wound...instant DC tbh lol

yeah the current schedule needs some health patches in between even if it means one less original killer every 3 months

I always say this but I will keep saying it, DBD fanbase isn't loyal enough to sustain this. Last time we skipped just 1 chapter about 12,000 players left the game on steam alone due to content drought (This was between the releases of Pig and Clown). DBD needs constant big changes and content otherwise the playerbase takes a nosedive

I think this firmly makes the perk not worth running over Sprint Burst and Lithe, perhaps Overcome.

I could be wrong, but perks that are reliant on the Killer's internet are generally not very good.

If they want to keep that aspect of the perk, I'd suggest adding more activation conditions. Perhaps pallet saves or flashlight saves. At the very least, make Pyramid Head cages count.

Yeah I agree with this actually. I think currently its probably one of if not the most busted perk in the game to have a 3rd health state pretty much whenever you're not exhausted, and while I get WHY they wanna have it deactivate upon a failed use as well, I think it should have more activation conditions as well (maybe picking a survivor up off the ground too?)

The devs are slow, but they do eventually get around to making adjustments to things that need it. While I get this might not be ideal for hag players, we don't actually know how well hag will perform with these changes since the ptb is also coming with healing nerfs. It's possible this change ends up being power neutral or even a net buff, because of other changes coming.

If hag was the only thing getting changed, then compensation buffs would be warranted, but it's not.

Tbh I think they're doing what they did to twins but to Hag. People were complaining about broken playstyles with twins so they just started nerfing EVERYTHING about them and ignoring them entirely in hopes so few people would play them that they'd be forgotten about. With the recent tunnel camp complaints people have been bringing Hag into the discussion and since like twins, they can't figure out a reasonable solution, they just nerfed her so hard they won't have to think of her anymore. They already heavily neglected her (Haddie not receiving a cosmetic 6 months into release but its been almost 2 years since Hag's last cosmetic lol). I truly think they just make certain changes so that way they don't have to worry about those characters and Hag is definitely one I think they just hit with this massive nerf hammer so she becomes so unfun and unplayable her pick rate drops further and they can just ignore her.

  • @Crowman said:

Making Hag not hard countered by an item that survivors may not have and giving survivors a basekit way to remove the traps means that it's easier to buff Hag in the future.

Lets be real now...do you HONESTLY think they'd even touch Hag? They refuse to change anything about her and have for years, this nerf is simply to reduce her pickrate further so they can completely ignore her.

  • @ProfessorDunwich said:

Otz is huge fan of Hag, one of his favorite Killers. I think this change is good for both parties.

Going against a Hag without Urban Evasion and/or Flashlights is frustrating as all get out. Now Survivors have a legit way to remove traps at the cost of gen time.

Likewise, Hag doesn’t have to worry about one flashlighter turning her into a slow M1 Killer and she can be played without Franklin’s as a necessity.

Great for anyone who doesn't play Hag yes. Now all survivors just freely remove traps without punishment and you're stuck as an M1 110 killer with no power or movement besides being short

Absolutely! Data is a sign of where to look, but it doesn't tell the full story. There are some perks which are used fairly often, but don't provide a significant advantage. When you look deeper, you find that a lot of people using those perks are simply using them for QOL (e.g. solo players keeping tabs on what their teammates are doing).

Yet you nerfed Iron Will solely for pick rate and because people used it for QOL...

  • @Bardon said:

" Ofc the nerfs were imo justified all around,"

Really? You think that Billy needed to be hit both on his mobility and his only two decent addons?

None of the nerfs to either survivors or killers have justification as listed - they all need work.

I forgot about the Billy nerf (Id be lying if I said it didn't make me happy since I never have fun against billy tho lol) but COH, DH, and 3 gen meta needed to be hit with a huge hammer esp DH. DH is still pretty usable but at least you need to earn it now, COH is dead as it should be, and 3 gen meta got hit extremely hard as well. Only perk I didn't think that needed a massive nerf was Pain Res but oh well I wasn't a fan of going against it anyways tbh

It's step in right direction but nearly not enough, her strongest tile will stilll be 3 gen defending, if you remove that this is literally the weakest killer in game. I am all for it, 3 gen is dumb, boring even for killer mains like myself i got bored after 20 matches doing this. However her chase need to be much much stronger, otherwise it's just a meme killer to play

This just isn't true but I agree she does need something more to compensate for losing 25% of her power up to 100% for 45 seconds.

But why was the whole concept greenlighted?

Did no one think about how the community would react to a killer, whos only power is to 3 gen?

You guys realize the whole '3 gen!' Complaints only started recently right? Like it was never a big issue people talked about before knight. If Plague was released today she'd get the same amount of heat for how good she is at 3 gunning.

  • @jesterkind said:

While I am refraining from making any snap judgements until I've played with the new kit, these changes don't seem like they even average out to a nerf at all, let alone nerfing her into the ground.

It looks like she's going to be stronger at everything but the 3-gen strategy, and she was never the problem there to begin with so if you want to hold a 3-gen with her you definitely still can.

My main fear is how hard will it actually nerf her pre-plan and set up strategy. I play SM now and I pretty rarely go for a real 3 gen but I do have fun playing her like hag (maybe like one Gen with a drone and 2 spread out at important parts of the map with 1 on hand to toss out during chase).

I'll wait til the patch to see how she feels, but I'm worried that (ironically) she might feel very slow n clunky after this since if you make a decent web it'll take a while to set it up again now that your drones are on a 45 second cooldown

Uh I never said I wanted her to be removed neither the person you commented to said to remove her completely. They said kill switched and rework the killer entirely.

Although you have a point with the weird people doing the absolute most because they don't like um insert whatever.

Reworked entirely = removed. If she's reworked entirely then what's the point of even keeping her? If her design, power, and lore all get reworks then there is literally ZERO reason to even touch her as a player anymore because guess what? She's no longer The Skull Merchant who's actually fun. I'm sorry but where's this energy for hag who can do the same thing if not WORSE? Or Knight?

I've gotten anime gore, death, and r*pe threats sent to me for playing SM, can't say the same for Hag or Knight.

This is a Live game, everything is expected to have changes. Quite a bunch of Killers were already changed, some more drastically than others (e.g. Freddy, Doctor also received a bunch of changes). And you cannot really say that Skull Merchant is currently healthy with her ability to 3-Gen. And without it, she is quite weak overall (not terribly weak, but far from strong either).

And while 3-genning does not take a lot of skill in the first place, her Drones make it even easier.

I ignore the snarkiness of your comment, but I can say - the Devs did not really test her when planning her.

Doctor's change kept him core to who he was along with all his abilities he was just made more streamline

There was a lot of freddy mains who quit playing him after his re work and theres still to this day people who actively complain about his rework so I really don't see your point there either

Live service game = can't enjoy anything you paid for apparently now

  • @Xernoton said:

So your suggestion is to keep her this way for the sake of the 10 people that like her and ruin the games of everyone who has to face her? This killer is objectively unhealthy for the game. She needs a rework.

Maybe if yall stopped the hate train and stopped spreading misinfo she'd be liked a lot more just a thought!

  • @AverageKateMain said:

Notice how they said to rework the character and refund people possibly and yet the snarky Andy such as yourself immediately went for passive aggression over nothing

Yeah cause I'm hella sick of these randos demanding she is removed from the game just because THEY don't like playing her or going against her. This isn't one perk or something small its an ENTIRE KILLER who people paid for and enjoy yet yall want her removed simply cause you don't like her design and don't like her

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Yeah and IMO the Survivors really cannot be blamed for that. It is just miserable to go against a Skull Merchant who decides to 3-Gen. I played one game today against a Skull Merchant who in fact did use the Drones on Gens, but was not super-hard on the 3-Gen and it was ok.

But I also played against 3 Skull Merchants who were just 3-genning and not really chasing anyone. One of them burned The Game as well. And nobody really wants to play a game of trying to break a 3-Gen for 40+ minutes while not even getting the chance to go into a decent chase. Sure, you get a good amount of BPs because the game is so long, but you would have gotten more BPs in the 3 games you can play instead of that one 40+ minute game...

Skull Merchant is the one Killer since original Legion where I feel constantly miserable to play against and dont want to play at all. She is also not really fun to play in my opinion since she is not really strong (outside of her 3-Gen) but more because she is really dull to play AND kind of distracting...

And well - aside from being the first Killer since Legion which really makes me want to not play against it, I also think that this is the first Killer where I have to say - just killswitch her. Killswitch her, rework her and bring her back in a few months. And when bringing her back, include a Refund-option (for money, ACs or Shards, whatever the people paid for it) in case they dont like the reworked version of Skull Merchant. Because the current design really should not be in the game and BHVR should really pull her back for now and start from scratch.

Yeah cause screw everyone who likes her lol. You don't like her so now no one should be allowed to play her? I'll make sure before I do anything in DBD I'll come and ask you for permission first to make sure you enjoy it mkay <3

  • This is so weird I've played 40+ games with her so far and no ones DC'd beyond 2 games so???

  • @Phasmamain said:

I think knight is overall a worse design. Knight literally can’t be looped and is more effective at stalling a game if he wants to

Skull merchant is similar but at least you can loop her and her power isn’t as buggy as knight’s has been

Right? People are so weird with the SM hate especially since she's probably the only killer to have released in YEARS without huge game breaking bugs

  • Yawn wow another skull merchant post because people can't be bothered to learn to play her how boring

  • Her drones are so bad for hook camping why do people keep saying they're good for this lol

  • @False_Hydra said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3368036#Comment_3368036

what other options, please name them.

    spamming drones in loops?

How about setting up an actual web? She has little to no penalty for all of her actions so pre planning and trapping survs is so easy and it's gotten me so many wins. People complain abt her 3 genning as if EVERY killer who isn't nurse or blight doesn't need to 3 gen against the best of the best.

  • @EvilSerje said:

Behavior has always rewarded foulplay killers

"Everytime killer start tunneling or camping, behavior has always rewarded them by giving killer buffs to actions and nerfing survivor's useful perks. So why shouldn't they act entitled and camp and tunnel even more, right? They are literally rewarded for acting this way. If the survivor rage quits it even easier because it's one player gone, compared to FOUR players, so survivors rage quitting entertains killer's ego even more and is always rewarded. As a survivor i get plenty of reasons to rage quit, for example, potato team, tunnelers because i didn't bring DeadHard, campers, 3 gens lock, bad map, ERUPTIONS, Nurses and Blights, loading into badly designed maps like Saloon, Midwich or Wrecker's Yard. But you just gotta suck it up buttercup and play the game instead of quitting."

Just pointing that rage vents and ranting can work both ways 😏

It's a little hard to make this comparison considering survivor issues are fixed within a matter of months and killers have to typically wait literal years (DS nerf, DH 'nerf')

  • @False_Hydra said:

no, it's really a problem of Skull Merchant very much as well, because camping a 3 gen is her only option.

It doesn't help that this strategy is already very obnoxious and powerful (although I personally don't see an issue with general 3 genning, apart from a few characters doing that like Knight or skull merchant), it's that skull merchant can do only 3 genning if she wants to be at least seemingly effective.

It's like Pyramid Head's power was nothing but torment + cages and the latter were in their first iteration. Literally the killer only good for tunnelling.

Or Bubba before rework. Only good at facecamping.

Although even these killers would at least be powerful, because efficiency of their power isn't fully under survivors' control.

So yeah, Skull Merchant is a huge problem on her own that just so happens to multiply the severity of the other issue.

She has a lot of other options people just don't want to learn a killer and would rather jump straight to the easiest possible method even if it isn't the most effective.

  • Tbh this is what happens when the community screams from the top of their lungs "THIS GAME ISNT SCARY AND NEVER WILL BE!!!" They stop focusing on horror. SM is action themed with slight horror elements which is what this community claims the game is

  • Idk she's the only killer whos kept me consistently playing her and killer again sooooo

  • My fave build on her right now is what I call 'The Blood Merchant build' since the survivors are always bleeding since they can never heal!

    Coulrophobia

    Unnerving Pressence

    Nurses Calling

    Sloppy

    Iridescent Manuscript

All that together is *chefs kiss*. You place drones, hit a survivor, then activate a drone across the map and watch as loud notifications from failed skill checks never stop!

Peanits? No he literally said that DH wasn't on the radar when planning changes for this update, because it wasn't yet a contentious issue. People were still in the "Wait and find out, maybe it's fine, people are really bad at using it right now" stage and a lot of players overreacted and abandoned the perk meaning useage rates plummeted. This was in stark contrast to Eruption, which was incredibly easy to use, bullied solo queue substantially more than SWF, slotted well into the other meta slowdown perks (unlike before when RuinDying was meta), and was seeing high useage rates within days of 6.1.0 dropping. Update changes get planned out months in advance, and Eruption was slated to be changed next patch instead, but was brought forward because they overestimated how much bandwidth it would use.

As time has gone on, DH has risen in useage and complaint level because people realised maybe they overreacted when saying the perk was absolutely dumpstered, and subsequently it's returning back to the meta with a vengeance. That's why Eruption was changed so quickly (for BHVR standards- it has been nearly 8 months) and why DH isn't yet in line for another change this update.

This was explained really well. Thank you for breaking it down because even I was wondering what he meant when he said 'dead hard is a recently complained about issue' but when you explain it that way it does make sense why he'd say that. People only started getting good with it and using it more recently similar to what happened back when it got buffed by servers indirectly

  • @AmpersandUnderscore said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3363212#Comment_3363212

Eruption has never 'rewarded the killer for playing well', it simply rewards you for playing the game.

There might be an argument for 'playing well' if Eruption expired on a timer, so you were forced to earn a down within so many seconds of the gen kick. At least then you would have to close out chases relatively quickly.

But as it is, Eruption is infinite duration, so you can play like a complete potato and get both hits on a survivor only with the help of bloodlust 3 and it still procs.

You don't even have to pick a specific survivor (like obsession perks) or down them in proximity to the gen. You can just follow whatever moves in front of you and eat pallets until eventually you win the chase by brute force. You *can* win by mind games and skill, but the perk works whether you win by skill or by bloodlust training wheels.

This isn't a perk that rewards 'playing well' or any kind of strategy.

And by then the gen is completely finished and your eruption is gone since the gen its applied to is gone. You ARE on a timer, until that gen gets done which depending on the killer and when you found the gen, is a very short time. Especially given you have to first go out of your way to kick it then catch up to the survivor and down them

  • It was literally like this when knight was released idk what you mean lol

  • @TigerSnake said:

Want gen pressure? Play Hag or Knight. Want to one shot people? Oni, Billy, Bubba, Myers, Ghostface. Be undetectable to sneak attack people? Wraith, GF, Pig. Track people? Doctor, Legion. There’s literally nothing she does that other killers can already do, and she does them so much worse. And I’d definitely rather play Pig over her. At least Pig’s RBTs can slow down the game, and her ambush while weak is something to help in chase. Skull Merchant has nothing to aid her. Even Trapper’s bear traps are more effective in helping him get downs than Merchant’s drones.

Just because a killer shares a trait with another doesn't mean 'just go play that killer'. You want to move around the map? Don't play Nurse, Blight, Wesker, Spirit, Dredge, or Sadako play Billy he has a movement ability. You want to have a chase power that injures survivors? Don't play Huntress, Deathslinger, Demo, Wesker, Billy, Artist, or Blight just play Nurse. See how silly that point sounds? "At least Pig has RBTs" Those don't matter when you have 1 down with 5 gens finished since you had to M1 the entire chase.

You guys hugely underestimate just what information does for you during a match. There are times where you wanna be defending a gen, but she also allows you to know when its safe to leave gens and go for a chase as well as having constant reads on the entire team and knowing what they're up too.

As playing her the biggest things she struggles in for me was certain loops where the drones wouldn't help but at those same loops, most other killers would struggle since they're typically too low for mindgames and too rigid to use chase powers like wesker's dash or demos shred.

  • I like what Tru3 suggested. Simply give him a phase sort of like Sadako while survivors are in the dream world and make it so his powers work on awake and asleep survivors boom he's fixed

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3363218#Comment_3363218

...gen pressure? You mean putting drones on gens and doing the exact same thing as Knight?

...chase tool? You mean popping a drone at a loop and doing the exact same thing as Knight?

    A. She holds areas better than Knight

    B. Knight uses his guards to simply make a survivor leave a loop. Survivors can do that against SM but she still has the upper hand over knight given she slows down much less while doing so, can instantly recall her drone if she wishes, and if she keeps them there it locks it down until she actually wishes to unlock the area.

She plays like Hag a little. She locks areas around the map down but she shouldn't be playing to only defend these locked down areas. Plus she deals with DH better than Knight a little since his guards will always give the survivor a guaranteed DH distance.

In a sense, she's how Knight was hyped up to be. A lockdown killer who punishes survivors being places that you decide they shouldn't be.

Again, she is no where near the strongest killer but to call her the weakest is just factually incorrect.

  • @TigerSnake said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3363205#Comment_3363205

I played her myself in the PTB, so I know for sure that she’s terrible.

I mean if you think she's the worst killer than...a killer with decent gen pressure and a good chase tool doesn't sound very weak. Like just because she has to use an M1 to injure a survivor doesn't mean she's a trash killer with no ability like everyone seems to think. Locking down large areas of the map and having 100% constant reads in those areas is a pretty decent ability. She needs buffs I will agree but she's very far from weakest when we have killers like Pig who have NO chase power besides a crouch which hurts you to use more than it helps.

  • @Xyphus said:

Dude, I sympathize about your hate for DH, but Eruption was WAY more busted than DH ever was. Those two perks are way apart from being comparable to each other

Yeah no...Eruption at least rewarded the killer for playing well and getting consistent downs while also managing to go out of their way and damage gens to keep the pressure applied. DH is just a free 3rd health state at every pallet and against killers like Huntress, Pig, Trickster, Wesker, Twins, Pyramid Head, Knight, and Nemesis. You can say they're on even playing field which I wouldn't exactly get behind but its more agreeable than "Eruption was way more busted than DH ever was." When DH removes any and all pressure you apply by injuring survivors.

  • @TigerSnake said:

If I want to play the worst killer in the game, I could just do it for free by playing Trapper. No reason to spend money here.

She is very far from worst why not actually try to learn her instead of judging based off a few days worth of commentary from youtubers who dropped her after day 1?

Doesn't make a difference. It still has to be implemented, QA tested, bug-fixed, balanced, optimized, etc. and will require support for every update the rest of the game's life.

It's an unjustifiable expenditure of resources when the base game already has regular issues with bugs and balancing.

It should stay on modded/custom servers.

It doesn't have to be balanced lol

  • @Shroompy said:

As others have said, its a neat little trick Legion can do, not a hack

Additionally there is actually another killer where thats the case, but its MUCH harder to pull off, that killer being Blight. Blinding him mid rush will immediately cancel it but not stun him.

thats...really stupid well ty for everyone telling me!

  • Cancelled most likely. If not cancelled, it'll still be another 4 and a half months before we have the potential of seeing it (but I doubt that too so realistically it might be 7 and a half). Possible PTBs that we might see it are either 7.1.0 or 7.3.0 but most likely 7.3.0

  • Was supposed to be Twins but it seems they cancelled that as we're not expected to see a big killer rework like that atleast for another 4 and a half months since it'll be after the anniversary chapter whatever that may be.

I think there's a misconception here, we're adjusting the audio sounds so that survivors will have roughly equal sounds however, that might be an increase to some or a decrease to others, we did not say we were making survivors quieter.

Iron Will is not supposed to make survivors completely silent.

Can you guys reverse the nerf? It was fine before and was only changed because it had a high usage rate. It was highly used because the rest of the survivor perks are SO trash and terrible that they made iron will an appealing pick since it was a decent perk with no huge draw backs which it now has...remove the exhaustion part or make it 100% again and keep the exhaustion if it really needs a nerf but both were just overkill.

People want to believe what they want to believe.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9PXGNSL16ZPQ/image.png

wow I cant wait to see the inhuman robot horror use this to repair itself.

Not to mention that her name is flat out shown in the trailer on the blueprints. You can see written out "Adrianna Imai" on her blueprints, the fact people thought this was terminator (Which was super ???) or some insane robot killer is just funny and them hyping themselves up to be angry

  • @Xendritch said:

People mad at the teaser either just don't understand BHVR's history with teasers or just decided the teaser meant things it didn't which is literally your own fault if you did that.

Spirit's teaser is literally her getting murdered by her father making it seem like the killer will be him and we were getting some type of samurai.

Slinger's teaser made him look a lot like Pinhead.

Twins Teaser is just victor's arm and screaming which a ton of people thought was wendigo or until dawn chapter.

Trickster's teaser is just a song being played then reversed and then played again giving no indication of anything.

Merchant's teaser was actually a lot more straight forward than some previous teasers tbh just people wanted to do random leaps of logic that spiraled out of control. Literally on the day the teaser came out I said it wasn't a cyborg.

From that thread when the teaser was first posted: "So I don't think it's a cyborg just because if you look at the plans the bottom drawing can be perceived as a body but there are no arms but four legs there as a base, this is important to the killer as you see it again at 0:14 but upside down. Also keep in mind they never just straight up show us the killer in a teaser unless it's a license."

Now in hindsight those weren't legs but a place to hold the rotors and was put upside down in the teaser relative to the skull but if you look at the drones it is that exact skull attached to that main body piece. As for the logo it's probably just the logo for her company it doesn't really have any meaning besides that. I will say it's kinda dirty to make it look so much like the skynet logo but it was obviously not terminator from there being no copyright in the trailer. So has far as the teaser goes nothing in it said cyborg the community just decided that cuz they felt like it.

Her story I'll skip on because there's aspects to it I like and a lot I don't and it's not clear what the focus is supposed to be in terms of theme. I'll skip on the outfit too cuz it's fine but doesn't standout to me although the cosmetic we're supposedly getting is really good and sohlud have been her default.

So going to her power I'll admit it will only appeal to a few people because there's two aspects to it that make her a hard sell.

    1. She plays somewhat like hag
    2. She's as add-on reliant as wraith to make her power actually do things

Now this is not a death sentence powerwise as Hag is a good killer and Wraith was good before he got nerfed for absolutely no reason. It is a problem popularitywise because some people have a serious problem with needing add-ons and most people despise Hag's gameplay. But for people that like being able to customize their power and creating "this area of the map is mine and if you go here you die" areas she's very appealing. I've said it multiple times but I think the comparisons to knight are completely bogus, people say 3 gen killer but idk if people realize this but uuhhhh EVERY KILLER CAN 3 GEN. Nobody can is making a good point saying they're good a 3 genning. She's close to Hag and in an abstract way close to Pyramidhead in the sense of shaping the map to her advantage if torment trails were actually scary and worth going out of your way to avoid.

Thank you for explaining her power more! People don't realize you CANT have a power which creates a lethal area without having a 3 gen be apart of it. However, her power encourages more than a 3 gen since setting up a 3 gen makes your entire chase overall weaker unless you dedicate time to being super far from gens.

  • For one micromanaging. She's a killer with good capabilities to keep survivors occupied and keep them focused on things that aren't just pumping gens while also able to use her power to be more engaging in chases. She's a better chase killer than 90% of M1 killers due to the fact she has most of the time constant information reads on a survivor. She's a better control killer than clown since she can block off big areas in advance and select which areas she chooses to lock off indefinitely and if a survivor chooses to open an area up they take a risk of having a chase where they're never NOT seen. In loops where other killers struggle she excels and in loops where other killers excel, shes a bit weaker at which is a fair trade off imo.

I'll admit she isn't strong or some god tier killer, she's solid Mid C tier with potential to be high C maybe even bottom B which isn't a good spot for a killer to be, but for people to be claiming her as the worst killer in the game and even send death threats or harass people for enjoying her lately as this entire community has been doing is pathetic. The only huge flaw I have with her powers design is that it does incentivize tunneling people with claw traps.

But let me give an example where her chase is better. Compare her to someone like ghostface who relies on mindgames and playing around with his stealth in chase to win. She is granted his same kit of having her stealth enahnced in chase with no red stain, while also having extreme constant reads on the survivor. As SM, you play closer to a more engaged hag essentially, keeping survivors in a locked down area while realizing who you can put active pressure on and who you need to leave behind. With the PTB buffs, I think she will move up a few spots in power level.

Me when I can't think objectively and realise Skull Merchant is utter dogshit

I am thinking objectively which is why I understand her strengths aren't just 3 gens and don't blindly follow mainstream youtubers with clickbait videos day 1 of her release and actually played her for days straight to understand her better. If everyone wasn't so reactionary and actually spent time learning the ins and outs of her kit and realizing things like Lock On shouldn't be played with but should be secondary to her power then you'd learn a lot more about not only her, but the game overall.

  • I mean she has a pretty good arrange of play styles. The biggest 'disincentive' to me for her power is the fact it can encourage tunneling those with clawtraps but beyond that she's definitely not as bad or 3 gen reliant as people say she is and with the buffs coming her way shes going to be even better if not by slightly

She isn't a jack of anything either. She has no mobility and her lethality is basically nonexistent. She is a gen-camping one-trick pony.

Me when I cant play the game and make assumptions because other people told me so

  • VHS was also an ugly game visually with an over hyped fanbase/playerbase and a marketing team who didn't even promote it in any way besides streamers
