Saying “wait it out” for Dead Hard basically means “never lunge, never attack at a pallet, never use your killer power, never hit a survivor in range to be hit without spending a dozen seconds just looking at them.”
What a stupid perk.
-
Survivor has been too strong for years.
-
They don’t see it as a survivor buff (even though it very very obviously is) so they likely won’t buff killers at all to compensate.
-
Let me block all SWFs and/or anyone using Dead Hard and I’d go for it.
-
I also hope the 90 minute survivor queues come out soon
-
I personally love when you look away and up from a flashbang to the point where it's completely behind you and you still get blinded. Very fun, very fair.
-
Dead Hard is far, far stronger and less heathy for the game than Eruption. Nuke them both imo.
-
BHVR hasn’t made a good map in literally years.
-
it’s so funny that it’s still a hex perk. It’s so bad it’s not even worth taking the time to break it.
-
I think it happens if an addon specifically moves from slot 2 to 1 when changing profiles. I also reported this after doing testing.

Survivor: Remove Dead Hard, Basekit Kindred
I’ve thought Kindred should be basekit for a long time, and would be genuinely beneficial to all survivors players. Dead Hard just feels terrible to play against, and forces situations with no counterplay for very little effort/skill.
Killer: Remove Eruption, Basekit Jolt
I don’t personally think Eruption is that big a deal, but lots of people clearly hate it and I think the argument that being forced to do nothing isn’t fun has some merit to it. As for basekit, I do sort of believe there’s an argument to be made for something like NOED, but that’d require some larger changes. I think Jolt would give some nice basekit regression without being OP.

Oh, bologna. When I play Killer and I see people DC out of games the #1 reason they DC has nothing to do with my perks, the teammates, or any of that crap.
The #1 reason, overwhelmingly, by a huge margin, is because I found them first.
It's that simple.
This is the #1 reason I see survivors DC as well, by a huge margin.

The solution is very simple actually: make the chainsaw sweep stop after the first hit. Done.
nah

Went against one of the more notoriously toxic streamers and their 4-person bully squad. They had all quick switched to flashlights at the last second, but just by pure chance I had Franklin’s after using it a few days prior and forgetting to switch back to my normal build. The streamer whined a lot to their stream about how “boring” and “unfun” I was when I kept knocking their flashlights out of their hands (as though quick switching to 4 flashlights is super fun for the killer???). I didn’t win, but they didn’t get to do their bully squad garbage to me either.

Fair enough it may be hard to balance, but they could at least try. Maybe something like
“While in close proximity to a hooked survivor, after downing one person, any subsequent survivor hit by the same chainsaw sweep will be put into the deep wound state”
this would still allow trades like other killers and make some rescue’s possible
I like this idea a lot.

In what world does empathy counter eruption?🤓
In the world where you can watch how someone who is injured is running, dropping pallets, etc to tell if they’re at a strong loop or not (and whether they’re a strong looper in general) and therefore whether they’re about to go down.

Yeah empathy doesn't show you the killer so I don't know what you're talking about. There is no reliable counterplay for eruption, that's just a fact.
keep getting incapacitated, I guess
-
I only dodge when I think it’s a 3- or 4-person SWF. I don’t really care about items. If I see multiple flashlights, I might swap my floater perk slot to lightborn for the laughs.
-
Take empathy, congrats you’ve counterplayed eruption
-
Absolutely not. The game runs at less than 15 fps and there’s huge input lag.

Predict what happens after they nerf slowdown perks.
Survivor queues get really, really long.

A killer’s power shouldn’t buff survivors, period. And the fact that the Knight’s power does isn’t even the biggest problem with him, just the dumbest.
He’s DOA and small tweaks won’t fix that.
-
Yeah, I don’t think someone can complain about tunneling if they deliberately run into me trying to get hit. Should have made better choices!
-
Basekit BT shouldn’t work after the game starts.
-
Better SDLC
-
The game timeout should be reduced from an hour to 15 minutes (with an onscreen timer displayed for all players). Any survivor that hasn’t escaped by the end of the timer is immediately killed by the entity. People don’t want to do gens (which, as they’re so fond of pointing out, is their only objective)? Then they lose quickly.
-
exactly what I thought, the instant nurse gets nerfed the blight whining starts
-
Cool cool cool, so we’re down to 1 viable killer out of 30. Nice. Good balancing decisions here.

The game isn't survivor sided.
The game isn't killer sided.
This game is SWF sided, and map sided.
hey real quick what’s the “S” in “SWF” stand for
-
Survivors can finish all gens in 4 minutes but sure okay it’s not survivor sided. “Just apply pressure” at 4 different places simultaneously on gigantic maps, but also don’t use any of those boring unfun no counterplay gen regression perks!
Give me a break.
-
IIRC, the scream was added back in because if it paired with merciless storm, you’d get those rapid-fire skillchecks for way too long. So now they just force it to interrupt you with a scream.
-
They definitely seem sparser and have more gaps in them. And yeah, they seem harder to see, though that could be a function of some of the map themes/brightness.
-
.
-
Sure let’s nerf wraith, why not. Then maybe take a swing at Trapper, it’s really unfair that he can defend an area, how unfun boring no counterplay nerf please. Who’s next?
-
I’d buff her by removing her blink recharge so she can always blink. Nothing else.
-
edit: double post

It’s simple actually, the game is balanced for solo queue, not swf. So when playing against a swf group you aren’t playing a “fair” match. While most wouldn’t call it “cheating” since the devs obviously allow swf since it’s a feature of the game, it by definition is if we want to get technical. Playing against someone’s that’s cheating isn’t fun.
BHVR balancing as though SWF doesn’t exist drives me insane.
-
Usually in this game when something breaks, it turns out it’s something they were reworking (for example, all the weird hillbilly bugs that happened in the weeks leading up to his rework).
Unfortunately, it seems like they don’t have a very good rework/enhancement strategy in order to properly segregate new and updated code from existing “known good” code. They probably have very few automated tests to catch unwanted behavior changes. They also probably have pretty tightly coupled code in places that don’t allow easy modification without having downstream effects.
-
I mean, I don’t think it’s a particularly fun or engaging way to play, but it is valid.
-
I see no issue with it. There were multiple times in that video the survivors could have completed the gen but they made mistakes.
-
I don’t need it explained. I just don’t agree with you.
-
Killers are just not allowed to do anything, huh? No strategy, no tactics, no planning ahead. Survivors just gonna cry and cry and cry every time they lose until daddy BHVR comes along with more hand-holding, more free escapes, more second chances, and more killer nerfs.

That's how i found this out
I was using Fogwise and I was seeing a cloaked wraith run around the map
lmao holy ######### that’s so awful, I wouldn’t expect anything less from BHVR
-
With the default 2.5% instant regression on kick, I think tapping the gen to halt further regression is fine and fair.
-
Their testing methodology is pretty clearly immature and ineffective. It’s almost certainly 100% manual and involves zero regression testing.

Tough to say since currently the worst killer is Trapper and Trapper has more work he has to go through to set up his power while having no other utility.
At the very worst, Knight can use his knights to break pallets and damage gens while still being able to move about.
OTOH disarming a beartrap doesn’t give the survivor endurance and haste.
-
Complete #########
-
A lot of survivors in this game are like the people who play Apex and just hide and hope to never see another team until they win by default at the end. They don’t want to actually engage in the gameplay, they just want a free win for as little effort as possible.
-
It definitely feels to me like BHVR is moving in a direction where killer powers are net neutral or even detrimental to the killers until addons are applied.
