I won't. I can't talk about you but i am doing fine even with killers like Clown.
I was doing good with Sadako and i doubt my performance will change that much. I am actually thinking i can get even more moris since i can lock stacks when i hook them.
So if you are not good with her or if you dislike her, you can play different killers. We have +30 of them, i am sure you can find some killers which is more fun for you.
I'm doing fine with Clown myself. At least he has means of catching up with people.
Old Sadako was a joke only worked on absolutely clueless people or plain trolls. Any player with brain could run away from her and never worry about entire condemnation system.
I don't know what people you are playing with. Clearly there's a huge difference in the quality of the matches we both do have.

How she is trash? She will still stack on survivors with any teleport if survivors ignore TVs. Her most used add-on is base-kit now. She can chase in stealth mod again. She can lock stacks now if she hook survivors.
You are free to dislike Sadako but calling this nerf is ridiculous lol. She is fine.
She will apply a single stack on survivors within 16 meters of teleportation. Survivors will be running with tapes now and deposit those when their stack count is high. Meanwhile she still has bad chase potential.
She is exactly that old Sadako but with Red Addon being her basekit which promotes tunneling a single person when possible and nothing else. Watch how everyone will be running with tapes and Sadako being a basic M1 killer that gets either gen rushed or looped for ages.

I'm not against the entire idea being used when it should be, aka 3 gen, but I'm against the fact that it now allows survivors either abuse it or circumvent their poor choice of generator and allow them to hop on nearest gen in their sight. On top of that if that gen gets regressed often it is still beneficial to survivor because it will become immune to regression at some point which will make it impossible to be defended by killer, thus a free gen to repair.People are throwing numbers at you and you're talking about hypotheticals that could happen. Give me a game scenario where the killer runs out of the ability to regress the gen when the following isn't true:
A) they defended a 3 gen from the start, the exact thing this is meant to stop
B) the killer has not won the game
C) the survivors would not have won the game anyway under the old system
On B, I don't see a scenario where you can kick/down survivors enough that you haven't won. Even presuming a worst case scenario where the killer chased survivors from the start, they randomly fell into a 3 gen, the killer though managed zero downs during the entire game, they can still make survivors repair a generator twice basically to actually finish it.
Which leads us to scenario C - if you find yourself in this position where you have four coordinated survivors, and almost no hooks, they're going to win under the game right now. If they are that good at retreating and resetting they're going to break the 3 gen, except now they'll get it done in 15ish minutes instead of taking over 30.
Combine gen regression and gen kick perks, add a need to kick a gen that has a high progression accumulated and you get that scenario.

Sadako's old power improved and coming back.
Billy is coming back with very decent buffs and his annoying nerf finally removed.
We need old Freddy too. His new power is boring and it does not feel like Freddy himself. But you had it. You got amazing Freddy design which felt Nightmare Demon himself.
We just need him back with some good buffs and QoL changes.
Sadako got back to trash tier and you call this a buff?
If this is the kind of change they are offering, I'd rather have Freddy as he currently is. Unchanged.

Why are people upset about this? They could now buff the gen kicking perks while keeping them from being abused to afk in 3 gen.
Because I'm sure they won't do that. Watch the wave of survivor main complaints and they will reduce these events from 8 to 5 instead.

There's no such thing as 3 gen main. Regardless, I don't defend 3 gens from the start like some people do as a killer. As survivor I try to avoid 3 gen by repairing at least one gen in the middle of the map.

Reading your comments, it seems like your preferred method of gameplay is exactly why these changes are being implemented in the first place. You might enjoy dragging games out but majority of players aren't interested. Slowdown is slowdown, and that's what you're still getting. You aren't supposed to be able to stall gens completely.
Never liked the idea of stalling gens forever. Neither as survivor or killer. I oppose the changes that punish people for playing game properly while rewarding others for their carelessness and clueless behavior. This change will only do more harm than good if it stays that way.

Go ahead and tell me which perks I am curious because its really kinda difficult to get there without getting some extreme usage out of the perk. Surge alone gives you min 64% for the 8 downs you got in one area of the map. That is 58 seconds of survivor time, not including either the unhook/pickup healing and regression on the 8 downs you got. Eruption is the lowest with 60% for your 4 kicks and 4 downs which is still 54 seconds of survivor time and that is 10% more than current. Are you actually getting more value from these perks on a single gen in a game, cause I cannot imagine how. If you're doing a combo, I have stated before but I will be shocked if when surge and eruption both trigger on the same gen if it doesnt count it as 1 event as you dont hear double explosion nor do survivors scream 2x. Which just leaves Pain Res which is just going to increase the potential you get off the single gen. If you are playing games where more than 8 gen regressions happen on a single gen we are playing different games. And even so I would say the perk did its job extremely well and now its up to you.
You again keep using these absurdly high regression values. For some reason till that patch announcement it was considered absolutely fine to make gens regress limitless amount of times so long as they are not the part of triangle. Now you keep justifying a massive nerf to entire regression system by using these excuses while intentionally ignoring potential games that have nothing to do with 3 gen situation.
Are you per chance a survivor main? I figured this forum is full of those but even that part of community should realize where will this change lead to and how much will the game quality drop.

You assume that survivor has to be picked asap when it's being downed. Let's ignore 2 other survivors within your line of sight trying to get that 85%+ gen completed while you pick up and hook this downed survivor. If you're chasing survivors away from gens, it goes right back to regressing now which is a benefit you didn't have before.
But this seems like exactly the situation BHVR is trying to stop where a killer is 100% on stopping the last gen from progressing. You down a survivor, you chase the others away, meanwhile the other survivor is picked up, they reset, and the whole thing happens again. Exactly how long do you want your games to last?
What makes you think you are successfully chasing ALL survivors from the gen every time? What about cases where there's one survivor hiding near and once you kick or make that gen regress he / she comes back, spends 4.5 seconds and stops regression?
I'm not against the entire idea being used when it should be, aka 3 gen, but I'm against the fact that it now allows survivors either abuse it or circumvent their poor choice of generator and allow them to hop on nearest gen in their sight. On top of that if that gen gets regressed often it is still beneficial to survivor because it will become immune to regression at some point which will make it impossible to be defended by killer, thus a free gen to repair.

The entire point is youre not gonna be punished because youre not gonna hit 8 stacks. 8 stacks is SO MUCH and given that each perk requires a down or a hook youre gonna win by kills and hooks anyway. The only thing I could see being a problem is a bunch of stacking of regression perks which for starters its probably a good thing to not have 4 regression but even so, I will need to wait til the PTB to test this BUT I think Surge and eruption are going to count as the same regression even since they happen at the same time. Even if they dont you get such value in the EXTREMELY RARE instance that you max the usage on a gen. Like 60% from eruption or 64% from surge is insane considering you also probably got benefits from those elsewhere. And thats not even counting the time it passively regresses. And with survivors no longer being able to tap gens but needing to be on for 4.5 seconds its going to be much harder for survivors to defend the gens they are working on from regressing. You essentially will need 2 people, one to take the killer away and one to remake the progress. This is not a bad thing. If you do find a gen at 50% that cant be regressed anymore you either kicked it 8 times or it was effected by perks 8 times. Either way you regressed the hell out of that gen and either got a huge amount from your perks or an addition 20ish percent from the increase in hitting. Not to mention the lack of tapping to stop regression. Like I am failing to see a scenerio that isn't either the perks overperforming or you over kicking and not noticing how much the buff is doing.
Because if you kick a gen 4 times and any time after that it is at 90% the buff stopped the gen from being done. 6 times same goes for 85%. The only ONLY time this change hurts you is when you break a gen 8 time and the gen wouldnt have been completed without the buff. And given that perks require downs means that if you hit it 8 times because of perks you also got alot of downs and you are in a very good spot.
Those 8 stacks will burn quickly with specific perk stack.
Survivors not being able to tap it out will stop being the problem when they will realize how they should behave around it. 4.5 second isn't that much of a price when you know that it contributes to a gen that can't be regressed at all. As long as you don't try to repair it in the face of the killer, you will be fine. If you notice that gen is difficult to repair now for whatever reason - move to a more safer one. Eventually you will end up with un-safe gens being left which will form a triangle which you and your team mates can now break out by forcing killing to do kicks or burn remaining regression events.
The entire system now rewards you as survivor for not letting gens regress by all means. You are no longer being punished for trying to repair a gen in the bad spot, in fact, there's no more such thing as bad spot for a generator.

What does a gen that can be regressed matter when you've killed two survivors already?!
And what if I hadn't killed them yet?
As I said before - if it is the game where a killer killed people at 5 gens, might as well give the remaining survivors some fighting chance. The change devs introduce impacts games it should not along with games it should be.

But it's any survivor close to a TV, right? Idk, but but people who aren't in a habit of stealthing edgemap will pretty much always be close to a TV (in no small part because they're usually right next to the gens and in pretty much every tile - like, where else do you want to be as surv?)
The 16m range kills it. You teleport to TV, TV turns off. Unless you have specific addons, the turned off TV is essentially a safe-zone for survivors.
If you decide to spam teleport now you will simply end up in random places, potentially applying few stacks here and there but nothing else. You will need information perks now in order to apply stacks however your chase potential is still bad while you also need some sort of gen defense.
To sum up we got old downgraded Sadako with One Red Addon becoming her basekit which was promoting the player tunneling already. They made slugging with her useless and made tapes safe to carry and deposit once again. This in total is a massive nerf when Sadako needed tweaks and changes of different type.

80% is 80%, it's 79 seconds of wasted repairs either way.
8 hooks? What are you doing with all the survivors you've downed while regressing 80% of a gen with Surge?
80 seconds of those wasted repaired gen time can now turn into gen that will never regress. Do they still count as wasted?
You assume that survivor has to be picked asap when it's being downed. Let's ignore 2 other survivors within your line of sight trying to get that 85%+ gen completed while you pick up and hook this downed survivor.
There are plenty of cases and situations in the game where you have to behave differently and resort to different tactics, depending on how fast or slowly things are taking place. It's never that simple.

The upcoming meta will reward survivors even more for doing gens. Just wait out whatever gen blocking effect is in place or move to the nearest unblocked gen and continue working on it.

What is 10% + 10% + 10% + 10% + 10% + 10% + 10% + 10% + 8 hooks?
It's 80% but there's difference between doing 80 - 10 relatively quickly and 80 - 10 very slowly in this game.
And what's the deal with 8 hooks?
Just you know Pain Resonance as it currently is is very unreliable perk. Some people are under impression that it is available to use 24 / 7 and it will always regress multiple gens with highest progress.
Same goes Pop or other perks that require hooking first.

Okay but at least as of now there are 3 perks that cause a regression event Surge, Eruption, and Pain Res. Then of course you have kicking a gen and all the perks included in that. Each perk that has its own event requires a down or a hook. Meaning if you are getting all the events without kicking you are getting between 4-8 downs, lower end using multiple perks and reduced the gen by between 64-132%. The minimum that you can do with kicks is 40%. This is in a vacuum on one generator to reach the point of not being able to regress a gen. 36 seconds bare min of survivors time, which previously was 18. But in the end you either shouldnt be kicking the gen or you have gotten insane use out of your perks. Either way it shouldnt really effect game play.
Let me elaborate a bit here.
If you happen to be regressing the same gen over and over ( most likely because the gen is either close to completion or currently has the highest progress ( other gens may also have high progress, just a little less than the one that gets regressed ) ) either by kicking it or getting a benefit from the perks, that does mean you are doing one of two your main jobs well, which in case you forgot for killers are - kill all survivors and prevent them from repairing gens.
So here's entire picture - if you perform well at one job, it has to be downing and hooking survivors asap, because your potential of doing another job, which is gen defending, is constantly dwindling. If it happens that you manage to do both at same time, which gen regression perks exists for, you end up being punished for defending gens after wards. Downed a survivor and there was a gen with progress while you had a Surge Perk equipped? Yes, you regressed that gen for 8%, but in turn you used one out those 8 tokens. Why you deserve to get punished here? You did your job and got a survivor, isn't that what killer has to do? None of this is related to 3 genning situation that this change was ''supposed'' to deal with, it's a standard average game here.
You won't be getting scenario where you found a gen at 99% progression rate and regressed it back to 0 8 times. You will however be getting scenario where you intentionally or not regressed a gen at less than 50% progression rate 8 times and now you have a gen that can't be regressed at all.
-
Can't talk about Billy since I don't play him. Maybe at some point I'll give him a try.
Sadako is back to trash tier. No CD teleport is pointless because you now have 16 meters range of applying a condemn stack ( now your only way to apply stacks at all apart from one green addon ). Survivors can grab a tape from the start and run with it. Deposit it when stacks hit 4 or 5 mark and you are safe once again. She basically got a free Iridescent Addon effect but that won't matter much because survivors will still go and deposit the tape and get massive stack removal.
SBFTL is severely nerfed. You will find yourself running with 3 or 4 stacks most of the time now and their efficiency is 20% lower.
Gen regression change is badly introduced and will promote bad playstyles and cause plenty of other problems once it gets out to public.
Another BHVR patch that aims to make things better the way they think it should. In reality - sucks out the last remaining bits of chill or fun experience.

I wonder why this rule isn’t made so that it kicks in when there’s one generator left? It’s odd that it’s being implemented from the start of the match.
Because it's a general nerf to entire regression system.
They could make it work strictly during 3 gen scenario but chose to work it from start so people can glue themselves to nearest gen and have no downside.

If a gen has 10-20% progress each time you down someone with Surge, then you've regressed it by 80%, and probably eliminated a survivor, and the survivors attempting to repair it have probably ragequit in protest.
We can keep going around and around this...
It's still the same 10 - 20% regress on a same gen like before, but now at the cost of event tokens. It's nowhere 80% regress as you speak about because now survivor got a progress towards event token.
Games where you slaughter people at 5 gens are still the same. Doesn't matter how you change stuff there. This change impacts close or even games instead.

You should not be able to hold a 3-gen indefinitely.
You should need to advance the game. Simply continuing to kick 3 gens isn't progressing the game.
Eight events is a LOT. If you can't manage a single down in that time, that's on you.
Cool, promote a game progression. Just so you know, tunneling someone asap is also a game progression. In this upcoming meta, it will be even more important and more beneficial. Now ask yourself who will be suffering the most from it.

If a gen is at less than 2.5%, then it won't cost regression events.
You can down survivors 50 times, but unless a gen has more than 2.5% progress, you won't have spent a single one of your eight regression events on them.
Gens will be at 10 - 20% progression on average if you are playing against slightly competent survivors or those who don't waste time. Be sure that uncontrollable regression caused by certain perks will now punish killers while survivors are no longer punished by regression at all since now they are progressing to a non-regression-able gen state.
Simply speaking - all gens now have 2 progression states. First progression is standard and involves gen being repaired from 0% to 100%. The new progression state is 8 regression event tokens. Now if you can't repair a gen for any reason, you will simply make it become unregress-able which means killer won't be able to defend it all, thus it can be repaired once killer leaves the area.
-
@Chaosrider said:
Less regression is a good thing. The actual regression meta is the worst thing that happened in years. But if you look closely at the changes, you got even more value out of regression, which is the exactly wrong way.
Less regression means less ways of defending gen. You push one side to what is more reliable now - tunneling someone out. If this game is about having fun, then devs are effectively keep killing.

How are you punished when you've regressed a gen 80% and basically won the game already with your 8 hooks?
What makes you think that regression is applied on the same gen when it's like at 99% of total progression rate? A gen can be at 10% or so and still get continuously regressed, thus getting events used without not being really regressed much? The fact that you can get a gen that can't be regressed at all means you as survivor don't need to worry that much of gen being regressed so much because at some point you will simply get a freebie.
Simply speaking your choice of generator repairing as survivor is no longer relevant. You will get that particular gen either done or enter the ''no-regression penalty'' state regardless which is still a win-win for you. There's literally no downside.

Similar to Surge, if you're getting four invidual downs while defending one single generator, you probably don't need to worry about gen defence. For one, you've already defended it well enough if you've kicked it 4 times and scored 4 downs in the time the survivors have been trying to repair that one generator. But additionally you've probably scored 4 hooks and possibly eliminated someone already, and if not, you have 4 more gens to go.
I'm not a big fan of Eruption, but when I was using it, I was lucky to get 2 successful procs of it off per gen.
Again, if I decide to get a benefit from Surge by putting pressure on weak link and getting it downed more often I end up punished for it. Very smart and productive change.

As it should.
Stop holding 3-gens from the start of the match. That's the ONLY way you're damaging a single gen EIGHT separate times bud.
You do realize that it's not a sign of skill to run 4 gen regression perks and sit in a 3-gen.
Why you are so fixated by the idea that killer is holding a 3 gen from the start?
You do realize that this mechanic triggers from start and doesn't take consideration of all other scenarios that cause 3 gen. It just makes sure that 3 gen can't happen at all at the cost of killer's gen defense potential and does reward survivors for doing gens asap.
-
Some people still don't understand that once those 8 events used, they get a generator that can't be regressed AT ALL. That's right - a free gen that can't be defended by the killer.
They think that killers won't be kicking the same gen 8 times and while that could be a case sometimes, gen regression perks will pretty much do that for the killer one way or another.
The entire mechanic can be exploited by survivors in numerous ways. Give it a time and you will see that.

Gen tapping won't work anymore. They'd need to spend at least 4.5 seconds repairing the gen to make it stop regressing.
We'll see how it goes once the PTB is there but I don't think 8 regression events will be too bad. That's more than enough in most cases. I mean, how do you get 8 regression events on a single gen full, if not in a 3 gen? Without winning anyway that is.
Tunneling is already an issue. This will hardly have any impact on the whole situation. The only thing I can kind of agree on with you is that Nowhere To Hide and Trail of Torment as well as other (weak) gen kick perks get passive nerfs thanks to this, which is not necessary but not a big problem either because once again, you hardly ever damage the same gen 8 times.
@Seraphor said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3624034#Comment_3624034
You can't mindlessly tap gens as a survivor, you need to commit for 5 seconds, so no more mid-chase tapping.
That means you won't need to kick gens as much.
Also 8 procs per gen is huge. You don't kick gens 8 times, and 8 procs of Surge is 80% of the gen. It's also been confirmed that only regression events of more than 2.5% count, so if you have a gen at 10% progress and it gens hit with back to back Surges, only one regression event will count against it.
You also shouldn't be running Surge with any other gen kick perks, they don't synergise.
It's only the matter of time before survivors realize they can't gen tap. Once they do, they will simply ''counter'' the regression properly by repairing the said gen when killer is away and it's safe. 5% regression won't do much on it's own. As killer now you must either do a massive regression or end up doing the miniscule 5% and end up with a gen that is immune to regression entirely.

Okay if we are going with perks. We wont even kick the gen, just perks. You get surge 8 times. That is 64% progress you broke on the gen plus whatever you got from the regression. that is literally 64% of pain res's full effect on one gen and the perk still can be used on the other ones. In addition you had 8 downs with basic attacks. If you dont win that game I am shocked. Eruption is kinda rough because you get 2 hits per trigger, one from the hit and one from the down but you still have 60%. The only other regression perks that effect this are Pain Res, which increases the amount anyway, and Pop which doesnt take up more than just a hit. You are not going to hit this event almost ever even with a bunch of regression perks because the game will be over one way or another before this happens.
The change will impact games where you as a killer actually Need To Defend Gens by any means, which can happen if survivors were smart and did play efficiently, which in result means you will have a situation where you have 2 or more gens in close proximity being above 50%. You will now find yourself hitting those gens or just let them go, especially if you decide to play without very strong gen regression perks ( pop will now become a solid meta once again ) because survivors will simply know that they can keep those gens constantly at high progression rate and force you drain those events, thus eventually getting a free gen that can't be regressed at all.
The biggest problem I already see here is that devs now reward survivors for fixing absolutely ANY gen they can get asap. There's no need to worry that you've repaired gens at far corners of the map, in fact, survivors will now prioritize such gens instead knowing that gens that are closer and in the middle of the map will simply have these ''events'' burnt up eventually and killer will have no choice but resort to tunneling survivor out because the 3 gen that survivor created can't be defended at all.
This change is wrongly introduced and will only lead to promoting less healthy playstyles for both sides.

Sure thing mate. Keep saying everything is fine and shiny.

8 regression events per gen.
Those 8 regression events are easy to spend if you use certain perks or there is a hot gen that needs defending. 5% regression per kick means nothing and once survivors figure out they can't just mindlessly one tap gens, you won't be able able to defend such gens at all.

They nerfed her back to old Sadako and made her iridescent addon a basekit.
Congrats, she is now a C- and D+ tier killer once again.
No cooldown on TP means nothing because she is still bad at chase. 16m range for condemnation applying means good luck building up condemnation on anyone without green addons. Survivors can grab and still carry a tape for safety and deposit it once their condemnation stacks reach 5 or 6 and lose like 4, meaning she will almost never build up condemnation on anyone again.
I can see how survivor mains may rejoice this but for the rest - a classical BHVR PR move where they bring killer from oblivion back to masses to boost sales and then throw it back into the void. Not surprised a single bit that this was done to her now, given the entire hype with NC is gone.

Chucky is solid B tier killer where Wesker is A- or B+.
I wouldn't call Chucky the new Wesker simply because of him being so slow. Chucky getting pallet stunned is another thing that still needs to be addressed at least from killer's POV, while blinding Chucky with flashlight is often quite problematic for survivors. If I were to sum it up - Chucky is quite clunky killer in his current state. His stealth power is currently weak ( competent people no longer get jump-scared when they see white footprints or hear his running steps ) and his slice and dice sometimes has weird hit box.
Wesker is straight forward dash type of killer with more reliable and simple power as well as good M1 whiff attack. He is what many call a ''balanced'' and ''non-complex'' killer.
Even in terms of fun, Wesker feels more enjoyable. Chucky is not bad, but at best, I'd call him poor man's version of Wesker.

When you know 3 other team mates will butt-block killer for you - yes. When you see 3 other team mates running to a hook and pointing at it in the face of the killer - not so much.
-
His iridescent addon should become base-kit with increased cooldown.

No, I am not. A bug fix is a good thing. It allowed you to circumvent limitations that the devs put on his power on purpose.
How come recently released heroes all had similar ''bugs'' on release and then got ''fixed'' few weeks later? Continuous coincidence?

Woudnt your argument also apply to Pig, Myers or Ghostface then?
Strange we almost never see complains about those killers. 🤔
No but seriously, the problem with Chucky is of course not his stealth but rather a) his short size and the cunfusing footprints and b) Slize has almost no counterplay.
His small size also contributes to stealth.
His power can be looped if so long as there's a decent object to run around.
Killers you've listed are not so hated because people either had learnt how to play against them or there are killers who are hated more than them.

History of bhvr killer reworks.
Killer before update: 6/10
Killer after update: 7/10
Killer after bhvr panic reverse: 4/10
Killer after people still complain and BHVR tries to satisfy them : 1 / 10.
Sadako already depends on green and iridescent addons and slugging to function. If they intend to nerf those, they better significantly buff her somehow, otherwise she will join the forgot club along with Freddy, Xeno, Singularity, Billy and few others.

2 strong licensed Killers in a row with decent perks and at least one very strong perk.
Buffs to lots of chase perks (BHVR seem to be moving the game away from gen / hook defense and more towards encouraging chases. No bad thing imho).
Buffs to Sadako (maybe a little too buffed? I rarely lose with her now).
Buffs to Trapper. He's more enjoyable to play now.
Buffs to Trickster (maybe no so successful, this one. I wasn't sure he needed buffing to be honest).
Demo back in the game.
MfT nerfed into the ground.
Teams still getting stomped all over in 80% of my SoloQ games.
Yeah, I'd say Killer is doing just fine.
Xeno is not strong killer. He is also bugged at moment.
Chucky is also not a strong killer. People who figured out his dash can be looped / dodged and pay a bit more attention to him when he is in stealth mode have no trouble playing against him. He is also slow which makes traveling around and chasing much more difficult than some people think.
Chase perk buffs are insignificant when gen defense perks get gutted in return. Unless you are playing against clueless people, you will still be losing a gen or two per hook. Nothing has changed much here, maybe got worse for some killers.
Sadako is in position where she has to slug and use either both green or iridescent addon in order to compete with survivors. Should she equip something else, she becomes worse than old Sadako. Nice buff there.
Trapper buff. I won't comment this one - it's too funny to talk about this so-called buff.
Trickster actually got his power where it should had been. The showtime often was either not used or would take place once or twice during entire game. He was also too slow so looping him wasn't much of the problem. Now he is in more manageable and enjoyable spot.
Demo being back is not a buff or nerf. Demo himself could get a buff to his portals as it takes too much time to set them up in current meta and often he is played as M1 killer unless he manages to set a good triangle for defense very early.
MFT got what it deserved. Being picked by 4 survivors out 4 in 9 games out of 10. Took them long enough though.
SoloQ stomp is about skill, luck and coordination. You get decent players - you will often escape. You get trolls or monkeys and don't go selfish - you end up sacrificed. This is more MMR related issue.
Killers aren't really doing fine ( except classic Nurse and Blight players who play these killers only with top addons ). Most of the time it's still 1 hook 2 or 3 gens unless dead lock is in the game and 2nd hook often ends with 1 or 2 gens left remaining. Killers still have to consider hard tunneling or proxy camping if they want to compete against decent survivors. In extreme cases it's slug only mode where killers can't even afford to go for hooks anymore. I suggest playing as killer a bit more and trying yourself against more organized players ( sfw squads ) which will arrive to you at some point, then you will see how easily can killers be outperformed despite doing no mistake.

So you are saying, a three genning Killer would not kick the Generators? thats a new one for me.
Killer would, but the kick itself is not a problem because it doesn't do much ( 2.5% regression is a joke ). The problem is when the triangle of gens is very close and killer has both power and perks to keep those gens covered. Very often this happens because survivors try to repair what they believe is easier ( distant gens or the ones that have loops and pallets nearby ) instead of going for tough ones first, hence they end up with a situation where 3 gens close to each other are left. Now if there are still 4 survivors then the game can turn into stalemate ( which survivors consider killer taking them hostage which in reality both sides are trapped here ) since killer can't commit to any chase anymore while survivors can't repair generators because they constantly get either harassed or are taking hits.
Only few occasions happen when generators spawned too close to each other ( more prominent on certain maps ), in which case it's still not the killer fault because it's one of the tasks that has to be done. It's a bad spawn location which devs should address in the first place.
While we are at it, how come totem spawn location is not being discussed? Do people believe it's ok when totems spawn on open spaces and are lit as beacons and are seen miles away?

I made up some solutions back in October,
- Repeated Kicking has lower and lower effect until Killer cant even kick.
- Repeated Kicking will explode the generator and spawn a new one furthest away from the remaining two.
What do you think?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/393164/my-2-takes-on-a-3gen-stalemate-solution
Kicking already is bad, no need to make it worse. Gen kick meta is also dead.
If anything, devs should simply adjust gen spawn points to prevent gens from spawning too close. Everything else is on survivors and it makes no sense to hold their hand and reward them for their poor choice of generators.
-
Tell that to a bully 4 man swf squad who goes sabo build and is sitting on discord. Lightborn in it's current state exists for a reason.
-
He is slow killer who has to capitalize around stealth which often leads clueless survivors to frustration. Some people simply don't want to look around and wish every killer was visible from miles away. Without stealth he has little to offer and can be looped just like any M1 killer as long as survivor knows how to extend a chase and doesn't pre-drop a pallet without a need.
-
Basekit Undying would be the best option, making Hexes more viable and giving survivors real second objective. No more 20 seconds Hex Totems situation where totems get cleansed because survivors spawned right in front of one. With Undying Perk, destroyed Hex would also carry over tokens and reveal survivors within dull totem at small range. Undying Perk would also stop being Hex by itself.

They made such a valid point and your only argument was "well then use calm spirit"... Really?... Yeah because we all know countering x problem with y perk has been such a healthy bandaid fix for the balance of this game for years...
If only I could list the number of times killer players were told to use specific perk just counter one survivor perk.
-
Maybe balance a game so neither survivors or killer had a desire to surrender in the first place?
