  • Oh boy. If that killer also had Rancor, that coulda been a field day if the fifth gen was popped.

  • Hoping to have a dev review and respond to this issue. It's tiring to have games held hostage when survivors refuse to do their objective after a reasonable amount of time. Can something please be done about it?

  • You hit the nail on the head, Cixon. All they needed to do was remove Punishment and Treatment modes, which they did. Then they went overboard with Static Blast, which was completely unnecessary and is overpowered. Free madness and detection of all survivors every 60 seconds, for a killer that already gains detection of survivors screaming in madness 3 and illusions in madness 2. And the infinite shock therapy with no cooldown is indeed BS, continuously preventing everything from dropping a pallet to jumping in the hatch.

  • @Hex_KillerMainBTW said:

Are you using fake pallets there or are you using blood pools. You should be able to slow them down enough with freddy on the blood pools. But, I've been using Bamboozle on plague. Why? Just because they made the loop weaker, doesn't mean it still isn't strong. If I see survivors going for a super strong loop, I just leave the area.

His brown add-on in the screenshot is the fake pallet add-on. And if memory serves correctly, this is one of the loops they just nerfed in the most recent patch?

  • I previously created a thread asking for a secondary effect for this perk too. No dev response yet. You can read and comment here if you'd like: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/135350/secondary-ability-for-were-gonna-live-forever#latest

Ok? Botany knowledge more than negates sloppy, detectives hunch counters every totem perk for free, well make it beats every anti heal perk combined, ds and unbreakable together are uncountable..stuff goes both ways , each killer has their own sphere of influence..plagues happens to be heavy anti heal..its the power role. Perks should never trump killer powers..the devs themselves say they're at all costs avoiding that

Again, these are perks countering other perks. I am referring to a killer power completely stopping survivor perks in their tracks, for the entire duration of a trial. Sloppy still gives the haemorrhage status effect, even if you can outheal the mangled status effect; Detective's Hunch isn't free, as a generator must be completed; We'll Make it Requires an unhook and is only for a limited time; and Decisive Strike and Unbreakable both have their limits.

There's a total difference between anti-heal and disabling healing altogether. Perhaps we're just going to agree to disagree here.

  • @immortalls96 said:

Great her design is to anti heal..but you forget those perks are pointless anyway because she gives out infinite insta heals..so..I fail to see the issue here

    "Infinite insta heals":

    1. Not instant, still takes a few seconds, during which you are vulnerable
    2. You can only heal at pools, of which there are only a limited number across the map
    3. If you do, you give her the ability to have a ranged attack
    4. Again, you still can't do anything with the perks you brought into the match
  • Sorry, but I wasn't asking for commentary on how to play against her, or her being strong or weak. I'm bringing up the issue that a killer can make a plethora of survivor perks have little or no effect for the entirety of a match, which you did not address. Here's my list (either partially or fully negated by Vile Purge - this may not be comprehensive either):

    1. Adrenaline
    2. Aftercare
    3. Autodidact
    4. Botany Knowledge
    5. For The People
    6. Inner Strength
    7. Iron Will
    8. No One Left Behind
    9. Pharmacy
    10. Second Wind
    11. Self-Care
    12. Solidarity
    13. We'll Make It
  • I'm more concerned why opening gates for more than 1250 worth of bloodpoints doesn't award BP anymore; or being capped at 8k in a category, whereas you may not have had an opportunity to score more (i.e. due to being chased the whole match, no one being hooked/others gobbling up all the altruism opportunities, etc.).

For the People has more serious problems than not awarding BP as well (the circumstances needed to activate and following use of the perk), but couldn't hurt.

  • Would be unfair for survivors trying to max our their bloodpoints, especially with BP offerings. Unless you want to give them an automatic 32k BP with 4 stacks of WGLF for a killer doing this, sure.

  • One of the most OP killers in the game is bugged? Good.

  • Spies from the Shadows, in its current state, is a very underrated and already powerful perk. I would choose it over Whispers any day. Actually sitting here wondering if it's even been fixed.. it had/has had no cooldown for the longest time.

  • Sorry for any misunderstanding; I was responding to the first commenter, who suggested the pop-up reminds you that you can prestige. Which is why I suggested to at least remove the pop-up for prestige 3 level 50 characters.

  • The icon is always present in the center of the bloodweb. Or at least remove the popup for P3 level 50?

  • Mercy: "I've seen worse."

  • You learn something new everyday. Thanks.

  • I've just about given up on asking the devs to nerf Freddy into requiring at least some skill, and not counter just about every survivor perk and ability in the game. As well as do something about camping. Falling on deaf ears.

  • You may want to consider getting a gaming keyboard and/or mouse that enables macros, so you don't get that carpal tunnel. Best investment I made for my DbD experience.

  • A killer main would never suggest such an incredulous change. No.

  • @Fiv55 said:

It would be great if his stalks works most of the time. Havent played him in a while, so dunno if they fixed it in the last 3.7.0 update, but sometimes I cant even stalk, it drains the stalk or I'm 99ing my stalk and it goes into t3 :(

Nope, they have not fixed this killer after more than four months of being broken.

  • Hag above and beyond. Three hex perks, leaving you perkless usually within the first five minutes of a match. And, with a slower moving killer with much counterplay.

  • To these whiny killers:

    1. The devs just nerfed gen co-op speed and great skill check progression significantly, while also modifying many maps to remove strong loops. To my knowledge, killers received no nerfs in the most recent patch.
    2. How do you propose the developers stop voice comms? Make Dead by Daylight force close while Discord is open? There is literally no point in bringing this topic up; there is absolutely nothing that can be done about comms outside of Dead by Daylight.
    3. Have you considered changing your playstyle, knowing they are SWF? Camp hooks?
  • Hoping a dev can please review and respond to this request.

  • Just looking to see if we can get a dev reply to this thread. Please make this perk do something besides give extra BP. Again, this is the only perk in the game that functions this way.

  • There is nothing balanced on either side about him. His chainsaw is complete garbage without charge and/or speed add-ons, and then he can just sit at a hook for an infinite amount of time revving. He definitely needs a rework.

  • I also had the exact issue with this same totem, but on Mobile.

That is still a case of playing better next time. If you're in chase or running, you do not lose mend time. So there's literally no way you can fall to mend while snapping out of it UNLESS you try to hide and play poorly. Snapping out of it does not reset so you can literally be in a chase with Doc, and slowly snap out at each pallet. Since you're in a chase you'll never lose the mend timer. Eventually you'll snap out and have plenty of time to mend.

Uh... the Doctor can continue to shock you during chase, preventing you from snapping out of it. It only saves the progress you made if you hit a skill check. Flawed argument.

  • image.png

But, it would be neat if Lithe was buffed to provide a faster vault speed when being activated (to prevent dedicated server/window hitbox shenanigans). Lithe has nothing to do with lockers.

  • @Haku said:

That is really bad. Mend should always take prior over any other action since it is the most important action.

@Awkward_Fiend  I don't see how that will break anything of madness I am not sure that you even put a simple thught into what you said. Actually the doc himself would like that tier 3 to stay for longer on his target /the survivor may scream or if there is a side effect it may get procsed/ which will happen if that person is able to mend first.

@SkeletalElite - Someone just told they CAN'T mend cause they have madness 3 You -> don't hide just mend

Yes, this is the fix that has been needed for the longest time: mending needs to take place before snapping out of it. Resolves all problems, don't know why this hasn't been adjusted yet.

"I lose out on Struggle BP"

Mate, Struggle BP gives you only 800 BP max. I'm pretty sure it's worth your time to just get over it and get to the next game. Same with breaking stuff and closing the hatch. They barely give you anything.

"800 BP max" - yeah.. throw in four stacks of WGLF, and bonus point offerings, and 800 goes a long way. That is the equivalent of 3/4ths of a generator - not to mention in the category that is the most difficult for survivors to score in.

The biggest issue for me comes from the exact points you laid out, no matter what point of view you are looking at, its not a fun game. If you are hooked its not fun, if you are one of the 3 left its not fun, if you are the killer its not fun.

There are some situations when camping is okay, like the post game collapse for example.

I personally think that the game should encourage instead of punish. Things like 'time speant near hooked survivors shouldnt punish you, but instead time spent AWAY from hooked survivors should reward you. If you hook a survivor and leave the area to find more, you should given a tangable and visible benefit akin to the safe and unsafe hooks.

Especially since Bloodpoints dont really affect anything monitarially (except MAYBE the shrine of secrets) they should start giving them more freely when you do things that make interesting games, vs just trying to win.

You can't encourage camping killers to stop camping, no matter what kind of blood points or emblems you throw in their face. You have to punish the practice itself in some form for it to stop.

  • @Mandy said:

First of all - it's showing as unlocked in the character bloodweb unless I am very much mistaken? Because there's no lock sign on the perk.

Do you have all other perks on the character that you are trying to level up? Because the bloodweb is totally rng and it doesn't mean that once you buy a perk in the shrine that it will immediately start showing up on your bloodwebs if there's still other perks that you don't have.

Yes! I did forget that aspect. You could be getting other perks first, if you didn't already have all other available perks on that survivor. Thank you!

  • Just to be clear: you went to a brand new bloodweb after you bought it with shards?

  • @Lexilogo said:

I think Windows of Opportunity and its Killer equivalent Xanshin Tactics are really bad Perks that could use changing, but making WoO make fake pallets worthless is way too much of a hard-counter to be healthy for the game, even though it wouldn't be overpowered.

I mean, in its most extreme example, fighting Freddy with Dream Pallets using this version of Windows would damn near entirely negate his Killer Power.

And killers don't have powers/perks that do the same to survivors? Stridor 3 - overpowers Iron Will 3; Plague sickness, negates Iron Will and Self-Care completely... the list goes on.

  • Another month, another day of Myers stalking broken. On top of not being able to stalk staring at a survivor, now you can stalk without a survivor (watch video)?! Repair your killer!!!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ci187LlzrCw&feature=youtu.be

  • This thread only has two comments and already seems overly complicated. The solution is easy, and that is to slow hook progression upwards of 90% if a killer decides to camp. Yes, that survivor on hook may still die, but it will be incredibly more punishing than it currently is. Also, who cares if the survivors are countering BBQ & Chili? What did killers do before this perk was introduced.. just sit there and wait? No, they went to check gens or other places survivors may be hiding. No killer should be relying on BBQ; it should just be bonus intel.

  • It's a good idea; but remember that the survivor's names will then be visible in the HUD once the trial has started. I don't know if you intend on addressing that, or leaving it as is.

He's literally just a M1 killer with a big terror radius and a tracking tool that only occasionally works.

He's #########. There's not a single thing he can do that other killers can't do better.

Maybe you find him strong because you play against boosted rank 21 survivors.

You conveniently left out that he can prevent pallet looping and vaulting. And he has a bounty of tracking besides Static Blast, what are you talking about? The illusions, the madness tier 3 screaming...

  • Is there prestiging in the mobile version though? I'm not certain there is, which could be the defining difference.

  • Static Blast just needs to be removed altogether. Way too much benefit to the killer without any skill. Madness tier up and free detection of potentially all four survivors every 60 seconds or less. All he needed was the removal between treatment and punishment modes, which they did. Shock Therapy still overpowered as it is too.

  • @Wiliam_Bill_Overbeck said:

I mean, it's like NOED for survivors, Killers get a permanant speed boost and can one shot survivors while it's active, survivors get one health state a 5 second speed boost once it's active

both only activate if the generators are repaired

Yep. Also didn't mention that it is further situational in that you can be at full health and outside of danger when it triggers. The timing is basically involuntary.

  • Let's see...

    1) Can only be used once per trial

    2) Only activates after all generators are powered

    3) Causes exhaustion, preventing any other exhaustion perks from being used thereafter

  • @Uistreel said:

They are penalized. Sure they don't care, but they do get punished for it

Define "penalized". Losing pips? Some bloodpoints? How about the facecamped survivor on first hook, who loses both rank and opportunity for bloodpoints? If you're facecamped after your first chase, you can easily end up scoring less than 5k BP and depip. A facecamping killer can still come out with more than 20k BP. Why has Entity progression not been forced to a halt when a killer is doing this?

  • Adrenaline is perfectly fair in its current state. No need for a nerf.

  • There has to be a balance between good matchmaking and queue times, though. Do you want to wait 20 minutes for a 'fair' match? Also, once you've played DbD enough, you come to realize that rank typically doesn't mean very much. Bad survivors and killers alike can pip.

  • @RobMeister88 said:

So basically remove any form of counterplay to BT and encourage more rank 20 plays in high ranks?

The counterplay is to not camp. Or, at least go for the unhooker rather than the freshly unhooked? A good killer can easily secure a 4k without camping. Of course so much of a match is just dependant on RNG anyways (map, randomly generated map layout, etc.).

  • Sorting and filters, for both characters and perks!

  • He should just start with all his traps, in my opinion. Way too much time wasted in a match collecting and setting traps. He's needed a buff of that magnitude for a long time.

  • Macros on my mouse. PC master race heil!
