The main building has one gen and then becomes useless to survivors to be anywhere near it. All the gens are out in the open in that map and there is always a heavy cluster towards the shack. I honestly end up with a three gen on this map so many times. The house is a waste of space really, I don't think it's that big an issue from my own experience. Killers still seem to do well it.
Direct quote or paraphrase of Luke Skywalker: Amazing.. everything you just said was wrong.

There's thing I never knew (after several years and thousands of hours), but no.. I read all of my perk descriptions. Unless it's something not explicitly mentioned or clear in the description.
-
And, even if you do get the hatch.. your MMR does not go up or down. It stays the same. Which doesn't stop people from playing for hatch playstyle from the start of the trial anyways - leading to more survivors dying overall. Lowering everyone's MMR, keeping everyone in the same hellhole.

Like I said,
The perks hasn't been changed since 2.x
Yes I am informed, and it makes no difference
8token pre 6.1 - 1.8second
8token post 6.1 - 1.62
Are you seriously complaining about 0.18 sec?
That’s only one part of the inadvertent buff. The other is that survivors get less running distance when getting injured or going into deep wounds. And all of these little numbers make a big difference in a game like DbD.

This perk in its current state has been in the game since 2.1 and nobody ever complained about it.
why all of a sudden it’s a problem?
Not informed on the changes of 6.1.0, are we?
-
I thought that was most likely the case!
-
Cutting - at most - 12 seconds off of a survivor’s hook state is not at all worth a perk slot, or giving up pressure around a hooked survivor. And without carrying perks, getting a survivor hooked in the basement is unreliable.. and again, more often than not, worth camping rather than leaving.
Look at Reassurance, adding 30 seconds to the timer just for doing a quick run by the hook. Monstrous Shrine needs to have a lot stronger values to be a scary perk to face, in my opinion.
-
Only everyone who’s ever played the game does, yeah.

So what I'm hearing is the perk Calm Spirit got nerfed and is bugged to where the changes don't even apply while having the speed penalty? Wow

" Should these add-ons be changed to only work on deep wounds applied by the killer’s power?"
Ideally yes.
But in general, I think that they should give Legion a different status effect and not Deep Wounds. Something which works exactly the same, but is not Deep Wounds (or: Endurance given by BT, OTR or other things is changed so it is not the same as Deep Wounds applied by Legion).
Because then you can tinker with one thing without affecting the other.
I want Legion to get a total rework. But you’re right, it’s a problem that Legion denies every instance of endurance survivors can trigger by his power. So if it were turned into something like Doctor’s madness, that would at least resolve that issue.
@sizzlingmario4 said:
I didn't even know that those addons affected mending as a result of other sources besides the killer's power. That probably shouldn't be a thing, although it is a pretty minor issue.
I was aware of that 25% debuff, but it rarely matters at all. 2 survivors mending a third doesn't really happen that often to begin with.
Yeah, it’s not the end of the world or anything. But the altruistic speed penalty applies to even one survivor mending another (12 seconds for self vs. 8 seconds for one survivor mending another). I guess it would’ve been compared to a basekit altruistic heal of 16 seconds and 50% Self-Care, but that’s not even how Self-Care works anymore. Heh.
-
I suppose this is just a feature now. Wasn’t enough they nerfed Iron Will into the ground. 🙄

yeah and watch the killer snuff it in 1 second, wasting 30+ seconds you could have been doing gens, cause the killer knows where you spawn and has knowledge of totem spawns. yeah keep booning.
Or, place it near an already completed generator away from all remaining gens, and watch it possibly never be snuffed at all. 🤷🏼♂️
-
@Rulebreaker said:
Didn't know that. The only reasoning I can come up with is that altruistic mending (someone else mending you/you mending someone else correct?) bypasses certain killer add-ons and powers. (Legion's pins wont activate and docs madness only blocks self mending)
As for the second part, personally I feel it does follow the spirit of the add-on, in addition to the wording so I vote for keeping it. Though if they could work it to not work for basekit endurance that would be nice.
That’s an interesting point! Although this was a thing before Legion’s add-ons were reworked to the self-mending penalty only.
Yeah, the wording does just say mending times.. but it has no correlation to the killer using the power in those instances. I personally think that is bogus, especially when Legion is already vying for top three most boring killers to face.

So you're saying "occasionally" using a half eaten medkit and self care which takes 29-32 seconds and is safer than looking for totem, is worse than looking for a totem while injured then booning it while injured and self healing for an overall time of 36-70 seconds?
No one said you have to wait until you’re injured to boon. In fact, it’s probably better to do so early on, to guarantee a rando teammate doesn’t cleanse it. A teammate could boon for you too! Providing unlimited self and faster heals for the whole team, as long as the totem is blessed.

@Plsfix369 said:

So now you're running around with a half eaten medkit and still injured while waiting for another survivor to get injured? What are you going to do while sitting with a half-used medkit? ######### Use it with self care already!
No bleepin’ way am I dedicating an item slot, two perks, and sitting in a locker for 12 seconds for a partial medkit refill just so I can self-heal over 45 seconds. ROFL.
Just run the medkit alone and/or Circle of Healing.
-
@Plsfix369 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3192237#Comment_3192237
So what are you going to do with a half eaten medkit and built to last? waste it? goodluck cause you're taking longer time to heal than just running up to a totem and boon it.
Not run Built To Last. Lol. But if you insist, use it to heal another survivor partially faster. Again, when it’s safe to do so uninterrupted.
-
@Plsfix369 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3192232#Comment_3192232
so you're saying you don't need self care when you've used up all of your medkit and you're healing progress is still ticking down to 0%? and ######### does healing speed do speed up the time you're about to get #########?
Don’t get interrupted while healing with haemorrhage. Especially not when self-healing with a medkit. Only use a medkit with enough charges to complete a full heal.

How is self care a SWF perk? It's quite literally a solo q perk because it only works on one person
I was referring to Botany.
-
Of course he should. He is the face of DbD.
-
@Laluzi said:
It's a relatively new status effect, being introduced with Twins. It's also insanely powerful and shouldn't be applied lightly.
Agreed, but more options to apply it would be welcome. I'm thinking more add-ons than perks. Doesn't have to last for a crazy amount of time either.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I think the status effect should go away entirely or only prevent non-generator interactions. But it's a pretty unfun status effect as currently implemented
It's very unfun on the survivor side. But so are all the other negative status effects.
You would repair generators with a gremlin attached to your back?
🤣
-
They turned it into yet another SWF perk, and made it unviable for solo. Guess this is confirmation most survivor players are solo and not SWF? And BHVR doesn’t want people playing solo for some unknown reason?
-
@Brokenbones said:
Mediocre on its own imo. Needs other things to be worth a slot
If you want good healing speed, Medkits/Botany outclass it but paired with them, it's decent.
Increased unhooking isn't super good at low values but at 2 injured survs, the faster unhook also helps apply things like BT/Guardian so it's not completely useless. Even helps with camping, a bit
The unhook speed can be huge when it's paired with something like No One Left Behind or Leader but that's a very niche interaction
Double its values for unhooking speed, to combat camping. Then it can have a special place.

Glad to see the devs are devoting themselves to the serious issues Dead by Daylight is facing. Thank you for this!
-
A killer doesn’t know a survivor has it, unless the survivor is streaming and the killer stream snipes. Or the killer is cheating.
Exhilarating strategies all around.
-
At the very least, it needs to be lowered to not exceed 40% max cooldown - as it did prior to 6.1.0. I'm also in agreement it should always lose stacks when the obsession loses a health state. This would keep it from being overtuned on the various killers that can avoid its penalty with special attacks.
Either that, or perhaps it loses all of its tokens if the obsession dies (like Dying Light). It's too good of a perk to be able to avoid any consequences for going after the obsession.
-
The map is littered with pallets, of which every single one is safe and not mindgameable (outside of a few anti-loop killers); two god pallets; tiles chained together from one side of the map all the way to the other; a main building with a god window chained into one of the aforementioned god pallets, which makes the killer shack (which is also on the map) look like child’s play, and is just about the closest thing to old infinites possible (without actually being one). And a main building that also puts 2016 stealthing around rocks and the environment to shame (no perks or Blendette outfit needed either).
Yeah, I see no problems here at all!

According to the wiki, Resilience allwos you to rescue survivors (from traps) quicker, solving Jigsaw boxes faster and much more. So if that's the reason why the won't buff Better Than New, they should remove all these things from Resilience and give it a blessing and unhooking bonus.
I never even knew that! Apparently. they just wanted to protect the trapping killers then. 🤷🏼♂️
-
It would need to be like, 33% for me to want to use it without being able to re-apply it to a generator if the killer never activated it. At least it is a buff.

Solo is really 1v1v1v1v1. Occasionally you'll get matched with people who want to play as a team and then it resembles a 4v1. Honestly, in the Dwight's shoes I'd have come for you even if it meant I died. But people play for different reasons. That's the reality of solo queue. Some people just want to do their dailies or their tomes. He came with Clairvoyance, so he obviously wanted hatch. Game was over at that point.
Why did he only have Clairvoyance is my only question here, though. Is there currently a tome challenge for escaping with only that perk too? 🙄

But Flashbang does belong to Leon.. 🤣
-
Hyperfocus belongs to Rebecca. Don’t know which role you play more, but Head On would be my go to!
-
Yeah, we really need faster spending options. Buying a whole node by selecting the end of it, buy whole web, etc. So many ways they can tackle this most boring part of the game.. without actually being in a match.
-
I would like it to increase sabotage times within the killer’s terror radius while carrying by 10/15/20%. That would give weight to its existing effects, and stays in line with it being an anti-sabotage perk.
-
While it’s a nice idea, BHVR won’t do it. They said they don’t want survivor perks to give stronger edges against certain killers. Hence the Small Game and Slippery Meat reworks. Even though we still have Adrenaline waking you up against Freddy, and a few perks that undoubtedly will give you an advantage against some killers.
-
Sorry, but until Plague and Legion are reworked, it’s not a perk that should too heavily reward killers for injuring survivors. These killers take the healthy state quickly, with barely any input or counter at all.
If they ever get reworked, Thana can be revisited.
-
Huh, I didn’t even notice this. And the sad part is even the devious categories must score low, because I was upset with how little devious points I would come out with while playing him - prior to using Distressing.
Off To The Races could easily be upped to 100 points per charge, and wouldn’t be busted. And yeah, most killers these days get brutality for special attacks; so should he.

So does the killer buff fall along the idea that they don't understand the game or?
Kind of. Map design is the biggest culprit of game design flaw all along, according to many respected voices in the community. It also gave survivors very little in return, requiring a doubling of the basekit BT duration in the very next patch. After loud community outcry.
Also, take note of killer queue times vs. survivor queue times now compared to prior to 6.1.0.

Camaraderie should let other survivors aware that you have the perk
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3183844#Comment_3183844
Solidarity should also show other survivors you have it
To add to this, Reassurance should show itself to all survivors when active - not just the hooked one. And it should have the red timer bar (as on perks such as We’ll Make It and Tinkerer) so the survivors can gauge how much time has passed and is left before the survivor’s sacrificial process resumes.
I would hope Camaraderie could do the same.
-
Only if a survivor already 99%’d the gate, and I don’t see myself getting anymore downs with how the match is going. That’s a somewhat rare occurrence though.

Its a nerf, the amount of times you cleanse a Hex where the Killer can hear you are very low, on the other hand the amount of times you are going to cleanse slower is always.
The worst part is they tought they were buffing it which shows they dont understand their game anymore.
That implies they ever did?

Its most likely due to it being impossible to open the profile to check if its a cheater or not, i’d do the same but on console you can’t open steam profiles anyways
How would you determine this just by looking at their Steam profile? VAC ban history?
