It’s definitely Barney the Dinosaur. He’s broken into the Entity’s realm in order to discipline the misbehaving survivors.
They'd better not do a Freddy on him and use this godless creation.

It's been weeks since I saw the incentive on the survivor side. (EU-West)

“Ugh” - my reaction.

Total progress refers to the 90 charges needed to complete a gen. If that's hit with a 10% instant regression, that's 9 charges, ie., 9 seconds, always.
Current progress refers to the amount of charges already applied to the gen, say 50 out of the 90 needed. If that gets it with that same 10% instant regression, it's 5 charges, so 5 seconds.
Pop Goes is a particularly noteworthy example here, as the 25% of total progress was a flat 20 charges gone, always. Whereas now that can be anywhere between 1 to 20, depending on how far along the gen was.
I may have the specific numbers wrong, but that's roughly what it means.

There is no evidence of it, only than some of the sketch designs, but that's literally it.
Most theory-crafting with trailers are shots in the dark to begin with from low little information they give.
Remember the Pinhead Teaser? Everyone thought it was FNAF from how misleading it was. And stuff like that has happened multiple times in the past (A Binding Of Kind is a prime example).
I was referring to the claim Forged in Fog was quasi-licensed. That was unclear on my end--apologies there. Naturally there's no concrete evidence for teaser theories. That's kinda the point. Again, that was my bad.

I still think it would be original stuff, just inspired by the universe if it makes sense.
Forged in Fog is based on License content, but it is an entirely original character and design. Even Ghostface did something like that. I think they might do something like that again since it seems to work for BHVR.
There’s no evidence of that.
Also, regarding the yearly cycles, they start at the Anniversary release. Since that was Roots of Dread, that was an original chapter. Only Project W was licensed this year.
-
what are these characters?

Imai is a last name from Japanese origin. If that is the new killer’s last name then it’s a possibility they’ll be a killer based on folklore from Japan.
(It could also be the survivor’s name as well but you never know)
a 4th Japanese killer, though?
Also, if she was Japanese, it'd be written 'Imai Adriana', I think. Adriana is a very obvious given name.
-
Adriana Imai, I think it says.
An unredeemable female killer?? With shoes???

Havent seen an indoor-map for long time. Garden of Pain, Shattered Square and Eyrie of Crow are the latest, all outdoor.
I wish for a prison-map for example.
Hellshire Penitentiary from Slinger's lore, maybe? That'd be an amazing addition
-
We should be entering teaser time right about now.
They sure are going on about Maurice...
-
I mean, yeah, but a 40% survival rate also means killers don't 4k every game.
-
it's always been there
it's necessary to break for the killer, otherwise that window is absurdly strong.
-
You mean this?
-
it's here
-
1am CET for me.
-
-
We're trying to phase out facecamping, not improve its efficacy.
-
Due to the anniversary chapter last year being original, I reckon this one will be licensed, as that would fill the 2 licenses per year quota.
Going from there, I would expect a lower-key license. No idea what it could be, though.
-
I just had 3 4ks in a row with Pig. Dunno man.
-
What could they possibly give Trapper that would put him on the same level as Nurse?
-
Abandoned a chase on the Game as the survivor was going down the stairs. Went for another on the gen nearby, and got holed.
On top of the survivor I just abandoned. They DH'd into the wall and I got a free Pain Res proc.
-
nope
I would have if they do a Don't Starve chapter.
-
You wiggle because it stops the killer from going across the map to hook you wherever they want.
That has always been the point.

Show me one person in this post right now claiming it should’ve been left the way it was, c’mon I’m waiting. People are calling out BHVR for being hypocrites, why did they remove the noose offering for being associated with suicide and self-harm while keeping the guy that has been literally hanged to death ingame?
It makes zero sense, you either remove all noose and suicide related things in the game or none.
sweetie did you read my comments in this thread

I wish I understood how she plays versus good survivors. I, of all people, should be able to make the birb lady work but I just can’t.
-
Have to disagree with DH being the only perk that takes skill to get mileage from. Very much on the contrary.
Also, god forbid there are perks that are pure passives, like a handful of aura revealing perks.

It's interesting that they would remove an image of a noose in a gory serial killer game in the name of mental health, yet they perpetuate negative stereotypes and misconceptions of mental health treatment. ECT is the one of the most effective yet stigmatized treatments in all of medicine. Negative depictions of ECT further marginalize those who receive it and contribute to the stigma surrounding the treatment. It's a great disservice to a vulnerable group of people.
If you’ll want to argue that, I’d use a similar argument Pixel Bush cited as to how Hellraiser does not reflect negatively of BDSM culture, despite its very heavy allusions to it.
Replace Hellraiser with Dead by Daylight, and you got yourself an argument as to why nobody will see Doc as proper representation of what ECT is like. He’s well beyond the natural, and is an unapologetic psychopath through and through. Nobody’s gonna go “oh so thats what ECT is like” and refrain from it entirely.
-
Are you on XBox, by any chance?
-
The singling one specific player out rule is when it's done across multiple games, with the intent of focussing on getting the specific person out, not just a survivor.
-
Most likely from event envelopes. The Rabbit’s Windfall gives a ludicrous amount of BP that aren’t capped by the usual 10k limit per category. Get a few of those and you’ll probably reach over 100k.

1: The Evil Within
…
That would be the extent of it, for me personally. Within reason, anyway.
as for wild wishes that’ll never happen…
SCP would be neat, but that’s a creative commons license
Monstrum (the original video game), mostly because of nostalgia. Obviously way too niche
Lobotomy Corp. Very similar to the SCP Foundation, but more accessible, licensing-wise. Still very niche, and probably really hard to adapt into DbD
An original chapter with a heavy emphasis on Tim Burton-esque art style.

Here's the vicious cycle. The more you spare the new survivors the lower your MMR goes. The lower the MMR the more beginners you face.
At some point you will have to climb a mountain of noob corpes to reach experienced survivors again. It's best to play with them a little, let them "best" you at some loops, and sacrifice them to the spider. It's better for you and them in the long run.
This is my reasoning exactly.
Either you're not where you're supposed to be, or I'm not. Either way, there's a simple solution.
-
What confuses me is how, after everything they have going against them, technically speaking, they haven’t been killswitched yet.
Like, I get you as a Twins player (ex main?) don’t want your killer to be inaccessible for god knows how long, but Nurse was killswitched for way less.
A killswitch also seems to mean they prioritise fixing the killswitched thing, so I guess that’s telling in and of itself.
-
In looking for this image, I learnt two things:
People can’t tell jackdaws from crows;
Searching “fat raven” results in some very, very different images I was not ready for.
-
Rather bizarrely, I’ve seen an uptick in killers burning RPD offerings in this event.
Happened three times two days ago.
-
For once, I agree.
Careful with the salt tho. Not all birbs can handle salt all that well
Otherwise yes

A lot of reasons to hate these devs.
I think GBK put it best. The developers are without fail all lovable people, it's the higher-ups that make the very questionable decisions. That said, it's ultimately just a game, so hating on anyone for providing me with over 3k hours of entertainment seems silly. Besides, I cannot possibly hate a company that treats its employees as well as BHVR does.
So yeah, I stand with the idea that people are far too quick to jump on the dev hate train. That's not to say I'll never be critical of them, though. (Something that I really do think should go without saying.)
-
Platform?

Hating on developers is cool, i guess.

That is not lynching, it is a public execution in the wild west, he is on gallows.
If they removed the offering, it seems odd to leave this person hanging in the game.
My last comment got deleted? How come.
Ngl, I thought execution by hanging was called lynching.
My point still stands, though. Execution and extreme self-harm are very, very different things.

I don't get why they changed the noose offering but there's a guy hanging dead from a noose here - mixed messages.

That's very clearly not related to suicide though.
That's lynching. Something that's still abhorrent, but not at all related to self-harm.

A very, very quick google would provide you all the context you need.
I just found it really funny how their opening argument is “he’s bulgarian”
like ??
-
wha?
-
I just wish they expanded on realms that only have 1/2 maps.
Léry's, Crotus, Swamp, Red Forest, Glenvale, Boneyard, Withered Isle, Borgo...
-
It's Clown's horse, not Knight's.
-
That's arrived way quicker than I thought it would. Goody.
-
Ngl, the player that told you it's intentional is delusional. There's absolutely no way that he, or any other killer, should be able to grab at distance.
In case it hasn't been already, make sure to report it to the bug section of the forums.
