The short of it is that introducing voice-chat creates way more issues than it solves.
-
Oh i got another one actually.
”Bad design” is a meaningless buzzword that gamers like because it makes them sound like they know what they’re talking about.
-
Scratched Mirror Myers’ main weakness is that he’s really bad at chases with that build. He has no lunge, or really any power at all besides having no TR and aura reading.
You want to get in his head. While you’re working on gens, where is he likely to come from? Position yourself in the open as much as you can, to give yourself as much reaction time as you can get. Heal as much as possible, and get a read on where the gens are. In the late game, he’ll definitely want to stick close to the gens.
-
Good in theory, but I find that they tend to catch on pretty quickly.
I've even see play like I'm running it despite me just wanting the match to be over.
-
Red Forest and Haddonfield are a touch too small now. Temple of Purgation certainly didn’t need a size reduction.
Many people have gotten used to perks being blatantly overpowered.
Lights Out was the most fun I had in DbD in years. Perkless vs Perkless is great, actually. But boy did it demonstrate how stupidly effective tunnelling is.
Not everything is to be balanced. Some balance takes lose sight of the fact that games are boring as hell when you get rid of everything that makes it unique. Getting rid of hooks? Kills a major part of DbD’s identity.
The fun has already been optimised out of the game for a rather large amount of players. Many players have left outright, and many others are still playing while clearly not enjoying it.
Many crow charms are not strictly anatomically correct. But creative license ‘n all.
-
I'm all for giving the crows a bigger role to play, but absolutely free aura reading ain't it for me.
-
this is a hint
(you can check what achievement it is by going to the Global Achievements and clicking on the secret one.)
-
I’d also like to add that the forced movement is there to add weight to the survivor. You’re carrying a live thing, struggling to survive.
Not everything is to be balanced.
-
What makes you think this was intentional, and not a bug?

Don't surivors have to run unbreakable and Decisive Strike both of which are paid perks? To counter not a perk but a playstyle.
Unbreakable is free. Bill is free.
Like, he comes with the base game.

DS is in the shrine right now, FWIW

I don't want to sound rude, but why is it weird to ask "What gender is this character (skin)"? Like that character clearly is very different looking and sounding than default Huntress or how Huntress usualy sounds or look like even with different outfits. There are people out there that care about gender and sexuality for their favorite characters.
And why just not answering OP when taking your time writting something and helping the OP with such simple question for someone who (probably) allready knows the answer. If you don't know the answer that's fine ofc but maybe add it there if you are not sure because this looks like OP is bad for asking simple question and curious question. I would feel kinda bad for OP honestly.
Its not weird. It's pretty normal.
OP seems to imply they consider buying the skin because of the gender of the character changing from female to male.
Not sure if that was the intention, but that's kinda how it reads.
-
I really don’t see how the changes have killed Adren. You still get a free heal + speedboost. All that changed there is the duration.
Is it really the change that it no longer procs off hook? -

Just because something is rare, doesn't mean its ok.
FWIW, I feel like the possibility of you being shafted being roughly the same as being given a meta loadout is part of the fun of this.
DbD: The Rogue-lite.

I believe it does have a new lullaby. Haven't heard it myself, though.

If you are allowed to say, when exactly is the update going live? I'd like to plan out the evening.

I have a screenshot with his description, but for some reason the image is not accepted. This is a purple rarity.
It's the second one, then.
If your friend isn't a moderator associated with DbD… they got it illegally.

If you mean one of these, chances are you encountered a cheater.

I don't understand how SM is better at 3-genning than most killers in her current state. She still has to force you off the gens herself.

a mini event would be interesting. But I guess nowadays they would do it like a separate game mode similar to Lights Out/My Little Oni and not like the Gnome Chompski one?
Funny, that. Cause I remember there being a tanuki charm somewhere as well, but I can't find it anywhere, not even the wiki.
I believe we have been mandela effect'd

Small price to pay for bird content.
-
This is most likely related to the animal vote from a while back. That's a tanuki figurine.

Do you think the fear of missing on cosmetics is the only thing getting you to play? wanting to unlock these rewards just in case one day you might enjoy the game again to truly appreciate them
You’d think so, but no, actually. It’s really just coincidental that new rift releases line up with my desire to start playing again. For now, at least.
Maybe the desire to finish off the rift is rooted in FOMO, but at that point I don’t really mind.I will admit that there have been “seasons” that were like that, but somewhere along the line my mindset shifted, ig?
-
It tends to go hand in hand with the rift for me. Slowly builds up over time, then hits every evening for a week or two as I’m grinding out page 4 of the challenges, and then drops off sharply when the rift’s done and other games catch my interest more.
-
I’d honestly rather have the chat be disabled on pc as well.
-
the “watch me leave” attitude.
Wraith is sometimes able to turn it against them, if he can approach unseen. He can still close the hatch even when cloaked.

I think they've run into a situation where the budget and staff remain finite but the releases keep coming, which means the same number of staff that used to maintain 16 killers is now maintaining 30+. It'll collapse under its own weight eventually.
I’ve been keeping an eye on their careers site since they opened the Rotterdam department. They’ve been hiring new folks fairly often (for DbD specifically), to the point that there’s no open positions last time i checked.
-
- That first one is gonna need to be a lot higher than just a single blood point. Even the wildest streaks of 500+ "wins" aren't going to give more than a single hook would give you.
2. Sure?
3. That'd require them recording new lines for older survivors, some of which were voiced in-house by people that have now left BHVR. It's also quite the investment for barely any return. VA's aren't free. Not to mention that it doesn't make sense in a fair few cases. Leon never met the Nemesis afaik, for example.
-
Freddy, imo.
He's just… "eh?". An M1 killer with a jack-of-all-trades power that, while perfectly functional, is just "eh?".
I'll never understand why they opted to make him weaker as the game goes on by removing teleport locations,. Especially when his whole deal was being at his strongest at the game's climax.

found this elsewhere, the link’s borked for me

Your team is hurt more by you not taking chases, hooks are spread unevenly and people die faster
@Nazzzak said:
I consider it a failure on my behalf when I'm the last one standing and I haven't been hooked once. I shouldn't be rewarded for not using my hook states to try save my team mates.
That’s not entirely up to the survivor, is it? I’ve had plenty of games where the killer outright ignored me, even when I actively run in front of them.
As for the last chance thing. Consider what happens when there’s the possibility of still getting off:
The killer knows there’s still a chance, and will loiter around the hook.
The killer might even make an active effort to hook you far away from gates, as to minimise the effectiveness of the Endurance effect.
The idea of the last chance unhook is based on the premise that killer behaviour doesn’t change when this becomes a thing. Not to mention how shite it feels to be robbed of a clean victory because of random chance.

Huh?
The 6K auric cells was for the PTB only, for testing the store.
They did not give 50 euro’s worth of currency just for playing the PTB.

15 minutes doesn’t happen because of 1 game of cheaters.

I believe the grade reset reward does exceed the 2 million BP cap.
-
I think Adiris' story is already largely explored in her tome story.
Something that comes to my mind is the Pariahs. Felix and Élodie, and their friend group.
More stories from within the fog itself., told through Mikaela's perfomances at the Moonstone.
And, of course, Haddie's adventures.

The devs are clearly happy they made another killer op. Next month they'll post the 80% kill rate for Twins rework and call it a success.
Killrates are always going to be skewed after a release, rework, or simple buffs. You have to account for an adjustment period before you can start making statements like this.

Ah I was mistaken on which non-black corvid it was, but here you go. They are much more prevalent in Brazil and are a threatened species. So with how rare they are already, its unlikely but still possible they might occasional be seen elsewhere in South America.
https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/8481-Cyanocorax-caeruleus
That said, my point was that the Entity sent the crows to watch Carmina, so the fact that crows are not native to South America is irrelevant.Oh no, I agree.
I was just engrossed in learning about a New Bird.
and a gorgeous one at that

Yea, so many missed the entire point of the crows being there. They were not native crows (technically Chile does have crows as in a corvid family bird, but not the common crows the rest of the world has that the Entity's crows are. Chile's corvids are a kind of grey color, so most don't know they are in the crow family) and that was the entire point! The Entity sent them to watch Carmina and corrupt her to eventually bring into the trials as a killer.
Dying to know what corvid you’re referring to there.

So, uh…
Why do you dc so much, anyway? If it’s connection issues, you should focus on that.
If it’s an itchy trigger finger on the Leave Match button…

One extra disadvantage Slinger has is that Bots have telepathy. Seriously, watch any video of a Slinger player attempting to shoot a bot and it's outrageous, they "know" immediately and twitch away as soon as the sights are near to them, and if you manage to get them into the sights or try to lead your shot the instant the harpoon leaves the gun they juke.
Incredibly frustrating.
isn’t that going to be “fixed” with the bots’ delayed reactions coming in the PTB?

Huntress could just as easily have received a terror radius that has a lullaby sound. the lullaby is nerf to ban usage of terror radius perks on said killer.
Unique terror radii would not be an established thing until Demo. I also don’t see why Huntress would be handicapped in such a way when other killers are way more threatening without a TR. Bubba, for example.
The only reason I can think of is maybe Iri Heads, but it seems weird to me that they’d design add-ons before her power was finalised.
-
I'd say that's not really a Wesker issue.
As for why some killers have them, I'd argue the biggest reason is thematic. Huntress introduced the concept, and her marketing was themed around the lullaby. I believe the devs even hinted at it being a lullaby to soothe the Entity itself.
-
I'd like some very basic casual options. Like, just some solid colour or two-tone hoodies or whatever.
-
they have birbs too!

What exactly are you trying to say? I didn't understand what you were asking or saying.
When a survivor's sacrifice progress is complete, there's a brief moment where the Survivor player's camera allows the killer to "photobomb".

I never bothered to learn where to look.
It's also been a hot while since I've seen it happening. Though the ones that did it were exclusively hard tunnellers.
