  • Yes, it needs a nerf. 1 minute of total invincibility is not healthy for the game. Never was, and never will be.

If I had to rank every killer in DBD based off how much I like them:

    1. Spirit
    2. Pig
    3. Myers
    4. Hillbilly
    5. Blight
    6. Doctor
    7. Oni
    8. Trapper
    9. Wraith
    10. Freddy
    11. Huntress
    12. Demogorgon
    13. Clown
    14. Deathslinger
    15. Plague
    16. Nurse
    17. Pyramid Head
    18. Legion
    19. Ghost Face
    20. Twins
    21. Bubba
    22. Hag

Now, I like every character in DBD, I just like some more than others. No one can compete with Spirit tho.

You really love Spirit, don't you? What you feel for Spirit is the same thing that I feel for Freddy. It is always nice to see other devoted killer players :)

  • Thank you, my friend :)

    Dream Demon

Death won't accept him and thus he remains, a calamity, indisputable master of his victims' nightmares. Dream Demon allows The Nightmare to pull Survivors into the Dream World.

    • Survivors who are awake do not see or hear The Nightmare.
    • Once targeted by The Nightmare power, Survivors enter the Dream Transition after some time.
    • During the Dream Transition they can see The Nightmare intermittently.
    • When the Dream Transition lapse, the Survivor is pulled into the Dream World.

    Once in the Dream World:

    • Survivors' Auras are revealed to The Nightmare when they are outside of his terror radius.
    • Survivors suffer an action speed penalty
    • To exit the Dream World, Survivors can find other non-sleeping Survivors to perform a wake up action
    • Some failed actions can wake up the Survivor.
    • Getting hooked wakes up the Survivor

A fellow Old Freddy main, I see. As much as I love New Freddy, it would be nice to play his old version again, but with lots of QoL changes.

I question why a lot of things are still in the game. Shrouds, map offerings, hatch offerings, the crappy bloodpoint offerings, 90% of all add-ons, the bloodweb in its current state, basement in its current state, Oni's camera bug, mashing while on hook...the list goes on.

Bloodweb is not that bad right now. It used to be way worse. That is why Legacy cosmetics are a thing.

Any DC on Midwich I perfectly understand, and apologize on BHVR's behalf for

Why? Midwich is a nice map.

Anyone can play spirit and 4K easily. She can know exactly where you are at all times if you are injured and there is no counterplay for survivors.

Iron will doesn't counter spirit. Scottjund proved this.

Spirit is nurse with training wheels

If I may ask, how often do you play as Spirit, instead of playing against her?

She is a very strong killer, which is fine, but she is not invincible and not everyone can easily get a 4k with her. I am not going to name all of her counter plays, because @Klakky has already done so, but I assure that she demands a lot of skill and map knowledge.

And I'm sure the killer found it amusing. Your delving into my post history, which is amusing, doesn't make a difference. I will still laugh my ass off at DCing killers and I'm sure when I DC/Suicide to avoid a Forever Freddy, Iri Kuntress, or other such bullshit I bet they'll laugh their ass off too. Save your armchair tedium for someone who might actually be swayed.

I disagree. As a killer main, when a survivor decides to DC I just let the others farm or kill them as fast as I can so they can move on to the next trial. DCing is not amusing, it is frustrating.

You should have seen how DS used to operate. Be grateful for the balance as it is.

Survivor perks aren't "OP," just as ruin/tinkerer isn't OP. Your attribution is more likely due to your own inability to adapt; the same applies for me. It's incumbent on us to learn how to get around the meta. Besides, if you're leaving over a ridiculously RNG-based perk being reworked to be somewhat more versatile, I don't think the community will have any tears at your departure.

People blaming the devs for their own shortcomings is not new. When you're done with the histrionics, you can take it as a learning experience instead of complaining about the state of things.

Ruin/undying wasn't even that good; it only works on certain high-mobility killers, who devote their entire playstyle to gen pressure instead of chase. That's exactly why people hated it; it was boring as hell. What people need to realize is that DBD is just a game. The purpose is to have fun. Ruin/undying is a pointedly unfun perk, for both sides. There are plenty of other fun killers to play with unique perk builds. Try Make your choice/Furtive chase/Dead man's switch/Dark devotion with any decent chasing M1 killer (Spirit, ghostface, clown); it's incredibly satisfying, and doesn't make you look like an ocean of sweat and salt.

At least you could keep juggling the survivor and avoid the DS. Now there is nothing you can do other than wait.

  • @Regulus47 said:

Don't agree with Undying keeping tokens for this exact reason. Having to cleanse two totems on swamp at 3 stacks of devour is an instant win for the killer with no investment or anything on their part.

They need to get 3 stacks. Sometimes this is "investment" enough.

He's insanely OP. So, yes, teabagged at the exit gate until he's nerfed back into F tier where he belongs.

Ah, I see. You just an easy win. What is the point of going against a really bad killer? Or a really bad survivor? It is not fun. The game should be balanced, not easy for one side and difficult for the other. If you truly want to go against a F tier killer, then I am afraid this game is not for you.

  • @Orionbash said:

    This depends.

    Did you:

    1) Shake or nod your head at me?

    2) Facecamp or tunnel?

    3) Play Freddy or Spirit (with Stridor)?

If yes to any of the above and my team survives my ass is staying at the exit to teabag you for your toxicity. Toxicity is a two-way street. If not then I leave the match peacefully.

Your last point makes no sense. I main Freddy, will you taunt me just because I want to play the killer that I love? This is unhealthy for the game.

  • @ShadowRain said:

Just kill them. They can’t wait at the gates if they’re dead. If you can’t kill them you deserve it.

Just because you were not able to kill a survivor, doesn't mean that you deserved the wait. Toxicity is never the answer. NEVER!

Naw man. Old Ruin was definitely OP. Especially when you look at the game as a whole and not just from the perspective of Commando Squads that can hit great skill checks all day without trying.

I am sorry, but you are terribly mistaken. Old Ruin was not OP. It was, and still is, one of the few perks that can slow the game down. And I don't fast games, I want to enjoy the trial and have fun. Old Ruin made that possible.

When it comes to things like stridor Spirit, Hag, Deathslinger you're no longer playing against the killer, you're playing against the time and the 5 gens that need to be completed. Against a killer that will win every chase without you being able to do anything you have to rush gens and be more stealthy. Fun, right? But that's how you play against these killers. It's dumb and it's boring but stealth and uber-safe gameplay is an effective strat and it's something that, if done correctly, will put your team in a really good position to win because there isn't much any killer can do about splitting up and working on separate gens, and playing really safe.

Spirit, Hag and Deathslinger are not going to win every single chase. Deathslinger can miss and Hag is not powerful on areas where she hasn't set any traps. As for Spirit, she is stronger than those two, but that is because she must be. Remember, Spirit is not an easy killer to learn and master, so you must be rewarded for your efforts to get good with her. Kinda like Nurse.

Except those games had team play in mind from the start. DbD was unique on release, where the LACK of information was built into the core of the game. So yeah, using comms is a huge boost, where it shouldn't be.

    Agreed.

  • My favorite is Freddy. I main him since the last Winter Solstice Event.

  • DS + UB + Soul Guard combo and Infinite Mending Legion.

  • Doctor and Nurse sounds like a very good combination. Doc finds everyone and Nurse blinks in for the kill.

Tbh, if you're rank 8 getting 1-2 sacrifices against the 'dreaded red rank swf sweat squad' then you already won.

2 sacrifices and 2 escapes is balanced.

Unless you're a tryhard who believes anything other than a 4k is a loss.

You have not won. 2 sacrifices and 2 escapes is a tie.

Would players be against the Devs reintroducing Legacy cosmetics for the other survivors? Excluding the Original four survivors, 3 killers, Licensed survivors and killers and The Last Breath Chapter)

If yes, how would one be given the chance to earn these cosmetics? Through a Legacy event? Would be interesting to see something like this for the 5 year anniversary. Given the opportunity to fully get 6 pieces to one survivor and one killer of the available ones.

Or, are the Halloween cosmetics supposed to be the reintroduction of legacy part 2?

I am just asking as I would love to see Legacy David. :3

If they were to bring Legacy back, I think they should do a "Legacy Bloodweb". Once you get to P3-50 with one of the original characters (Dwight, Meg, Claudette, Jake, Nea, Trapper, Wraith, Billy and Nurse) you can prestige again, but for Legacy cosmetics. However, the grind to 1 - P3 would be the same as the 2016 Bloodweb, in order to make it fair.

I have seen a similar suggestion somewhere else and I think it is a very good idea.

  • @Huge_Bush said:

I disagree. NOED is fine as is.

Survivors don't have to cleanse dull totems. They can wait for the last gen to pop and look for the lit totem.

Totems are a secondary objective. They are not mandatory, but you do risk danger by not looking for them and cleansing them.

Survivors are not entitled to an easy escape just because they could hold M1 long enough to power a gen. Endgame is a large part of a killers game and many can snowball and get 3-4k if played right.

If the killer was so good that they were able to pressure you enough to where you couldn't take some time to cleanse totems, then that isn't the fault of NOED, that is in the fault of the players not being good enough to be able to work on more than one objective during a match.

You are not being punished for being a good survivor if you get hit by NOED, you are being punished for making a bad choice and taking a big risk in not cleansing totems. You are being punished for not considering the killer might have NOED and not paying attention to your surroundings when the last gen pops.

    Agreed.

It's what the game forces survivors to do while waiting to get chased. Guess they don't have to do gens, but then everyone dies for sure.

Exactly. And that, my friend, is why Ruin / Undying was perfect. Instead of sitting on gens the entire time, survivors had to look for the totems, which made the trials longer and less repetitive.

  • @DistortedDream said:

For me, It's Pig and Blight.

    All of them, except Ghostface.

  • That is the point, my friend. You see, sometimes your Ruin or Lullaby gets cleansed at the very beggining of the trial, which means that, technically, you wasted a perk slot. I don't see a problem with survivors wasting one of theirs.

  • @BaldursGate2 said:

Imagine the old DS, where you had no timer and you could just use it at any time you wanted once. What a nightmare this was.

Typical, bringing in Spirit for a discussion about Freddy, but fine I'll bite. As If she hasn't been nerfed, (directly/indirectly) hard enough lately. Her lunge bugged, sounds bugged in chase forcing players to use detection perks, removed mindgame at vaults, prayer beads nerfed, other add-ons nerfed, and you even got rid of collision.

Quit complaining about Spirit and Freddy, and learn how to play against them. Not every killer needs to be gutted just because survivors want to be able to see a killer at all times and loop them for ages.

Killers are not here for your amusement survivors. They are here to kill you. A fact the devs seem to forget in this "Horror" game "balanced around 2 kills and 2 escapes." So do your simple task of holding M1 on gens and survive. Or die. Or DC; I could care less. It counts as a kill for me either way.

Considering most survivors has been taking advantage of the killer sound bugs. I see little reason why you can complain about any killer atm when they are trying to compensate for a bug that the devs claim does not exist. (Just like how match making is apparently fine) Btw, when survivor sounds were found to be bugged the devs patched them inside a week. Killers are still waiting and it's going on 2 months with no solution up and coming as far as I know. So yeah, I have no sympathy for survivor mains.

I agree. I am really tired of killers getting gutted for no reason.

  • Old Enduring, Billy rework, and maybe Old Freddy.

  • Favorite: Midwich Elementary School. It has a "creepy vibe" that other maps do not have.

Least Favorite: Grim Pantry. I don't even need to explain.

Edit: Forgot to mention Yamaoka. Family Residence and Sanctum of Wrath are terrible for me.

Considering queue times for 4 man SWF are atrocious at evening times, especially weekends. I find it somewhat entertaining getting into a lobby with already readied up survivors with questionable items equipped (key+map).

I will gladly wait the 60 seconds and burn a specific offering that sadly crashes my game to the desktop just after lobby starts and before the game begins loading.

    Other than that.

It is the fault of SWF taking up the queue time for solo survivors. When you think about it, SWF is like a tumor causing wide array of issues.

    #totallynotbiased

On the side note. It almost always been that way.

At night one side had instant queues while the other one was disgustingly long. At morning/day time things switched around.

Usually the side with most power/broken stuff was the overrun one at the night time of your local zone. (yes, even killers had long queue times at evening hours back in the day)

"Back in the day"? And when was this, exactly?

    Find a survivor

Chase for two hits. Maybe losing one or two gens.

    Pick up survivor.

    Stun

Chase survivor again for another gen.

There's your old DS experience you wished for. At least now you can get that hook before they stab you.

Maybe you're right. However, remember that you could just keep juggling the survivor (if he was the obsession) and they would not be able to use DS. Those who were not the obsession had to reach 35% wiggle to escape, something that could be denied by downing the survivor next to a hook. Like I said, it was extremely broken, but I truly wish I caould face it again, just for these counterplays.

  • @Aztreonam78 said:

Has been said a lot of times, but since no measures have been conducted towards rectifying the Decisive Strike's problem, I will say it again and again and again. Maybe on a daily basis.

Decisive Strike is a pay to win (btw why probably the strongest perk cannot be obtained other than by paying real money? Shrine of Secrets and its random do not count!) perk that is extremely punishing for Killers, and often for wrong reasons. It does not hurt exclusively tunnelers and campers, but all killer players in general. Down Survivors too fast and brought a Survivor who got unhooked 55 seconds earlier and you managed hooked another one? Get stabbed in you back! Confused one Claudette with another because they both Blendettes? Get what you deserve, #########!

The thing with the Lockers is a completely different story! What, as a generic Killer, should I do when the Meg tea bags and right in my face jumps into the closet? This perk gives way too much of a feeling of safety. It makes Survivors completely fearless when Killers are terrored each time they pick up someone. It significantly impacts the game, dramatically hurts the health of Dead by Daylight and needs to be a high-priority like Hex: Undying. Gladly, Undying and even Pop got fair nerfes, but why Survivor perks get no attention?

Well said, partner. Sometimes I wish I could face the old DS again. Sure, it was extremely strong, but at least you could get rid of it at the very beginning of the trial.

  • @chieften333 said:

You were a fun perk while you lasted, you protected my totems dutifully. But we can't ignore that you were an RNG based perk that could be removed 30 seconds into the game, or easily seen with a map or two other perks. Or the fact that dull totems could be removed before the hex perks could be transferred. I guess survivors can't resist gens so much that they can't hop off one to do bones for extra points.

    You will be missed

F in the chat. I loved this perk.

  • Moonrise events usually happen around February, so we just need to wait.

  • As a fan of FNAF, this is amazing! You did a pretty good job with this chapter. There are just 2 things that I would change:

1-Phantom Traps disarm: That should not be possible, since it would ruin the scary aspect of a trial with Springtrap

2-Springtrap's movement speed: He should have a normal movement speed, since Blindspots has a locked cooldown.

But I loved this so much, that I hope it becomes the next chapter for our beloved game. Thanks for making this!

  • This was amazing! I would love to see my favorite Batman villain in DBD.

  • If Pennywise does not become a killer in DBD, I will riot.

  • Amazing!!! Now I want her as the next killer.

  • I have seen many fan-made killers. But this one is the best. I would love to play as The Predator. We need a Werewolf.

  • You know, my favorite killers are Freddy and Pig. So this fan-made killer does bring a smile to my face. I would play as The Lucid.

  • I have seen a Werewolf, a Vampire, Jason Voorhees, and many others. The Werewolf was amazing.
