Yeah even the smaller touch ups like Jeff just ended up making them look worse.
Precisely, my friend. I've been saying this since those stupid changes were first announced.
-
Downgrading the character's models was always a bad idea to begin with. There is a reason why the ones that look better are the ones which barely changed.
They should've left the models alone. And the same thing can be said about MANY things in this game.
-
Which old DS?
The perk was changed 6 times before.

Brutal Strength has actually never changed
Back when it had 40%, base pallet breaking speed was 3 seconds
Nowadays its 2.7 or 2.6 seconds, the "nerf" to Brutal was to compensate for the new change
Pretty much.
Still, it would be nice to see it return.
-
Brutal Strength 30%?
So...basically its OG version back?
I like it!
-
This:
"After the Dash, you cannot interact with Pallets or Windows for 5 seconds."
-
Well...it is not the best anymore, but it certainly isn't the worst either. Otherwise, the game would have competition.
-
Wha...
-
In a worse state, unfortunately.
-
If the ######### Realm Beyond didn't exist, my answer would've been Badham.
-
Trickster and I would delete him from the game.

You still do ;-;
I loved what the game once was, but despise what it currently is.
If that counts as loving DBD, then yes, I indeed still do.

I still love to hang out here and fight for the game I once loved.

I loved DBD.

I don't know what can really be done about Haddonfield, but the other realms definitely need reworks. Both swamp maps are nothing but dead zones and three gens, and the Red Forest maps are the largest with the safest tiles you'll ever see. They are both ridiculously unbalanced and unfun.
Don't touch my Swamp...

Well, you nailed it.

We agree about we disagree, but I agree some graphical are a fail. But you, you dont admit some are actually good.
There is pros and cons in everything.
I am entitled to my own opinion. All of them are trash for me.
I don't have to agree with this point of view of yours, just like you don't have to agree with my own.
-
Honestly, I don't have a single expectation.
BHVR has already done enough damage, and they are not going to stop.

Why do you need to try and convince them? I like some of the reworked maps, and some I dislike. It’s an opinion
I don't.

Original 3 still have their tint. But light contrast on Autoheaven is really bad. Beside it doesnt have grass, as Trapper main I hate it.
Crotus prenn is great for me.
Lery suddenly get brighten, traps have no place.
Badham is great
Game also get brighten, traps have no place
Yamaoka is great
Ormond is great
At least some of what you said is reasonable.

@Anara said:

- Macmillan blue tint was ugly
- Autohaven is the worst rework I agree
- Coldwind best rework, have you seen Chainsaw Massacre ? Its a horror movie during day
- Crotus Prenn was ugly and is still ugly yeah
- Lery is so beautiful now, so much attention to details, old Lery was so ugly
- Badham is one of the best reworks it feels like we are in a horror movie
- I love The Game as killer, maybe you dont know how to play on this map
- Yamaoka beautiful rework
- Ormond second best update, it looks like a real snow station, old Ormond was soooo ugly worst map before update
I was going to write a reply to you, covering each one of them.
However, your previous answer to my comment makes it crystal clear that I won't be able to convince, just like you won't be able to convince me.
We will agree to disagree.

What are you talking about ? All maps rework are just better version of the maps. We need it.
What?
-MacMillan lost its classic blue tint that almost everyone misses, not to mention its structures and grass look atrociously bad.
-Autohaven became a poor excuse of map where you can't see #########.
-Coldwind...a daylight map in a horror game was such a stupid and dumb idea that I don't even have words to describe it.
-Crotus Prenn was a map that had a top-tier ambience, and became an ugly and empty wasteland.
-Léry's ambience was destroyed. It doesn't even looks like a hospital anymore...
-Badham was also made much less visually appealing. So much so that it is actually unfair to compare it to the old version.
-The Game became Pallet Town v.2
-Yamaoka looks extremely ugly now.
-Ormond also became less visually appealing, though in a smaller scale.
I refuse to believe that anyone, in their right minds, prefer the reworked maps in general.
They are all extremely bad.
-
Hopefully never.
Enough damage has been done already.
-
To the Dream World.
-
Don't do that.
Don't give me hope.

Come on dude, you can't tell me you wouldn't want a "Halloween Kills' outfit for Michael, his mask half burnt and stuff...I don't see why they couldn't since they already gave him his hospital gown.
Also i want his stalk music back
A skin is fine.

Only worked once but protected both survivors. That gave survivors a better chance, instead of merely trading hooks.

You should be certain of it!

Happy Halloween!

I am sorry to hear about your current situation, my dear friend, and sincerely hope you recover soon.
I tried to find a picture of our two favorite characters together, and this was the only one that I found:
Sorry that it is hard to see, but at least it is a start <3
Hope to speak to you soon!

A rework doesn't have to be a full revamp.
Trapper and Hag gained lots of little buffs which helped them a lot in the current meta. Yes, it isn't a full on rework, but they were changed nonetheless.
Bubba's one REALLY was necessary though, it was just straigth on annoying the play as him. He was just a worse Hilbilly. Now he's more unique and is mostly the same to face against.
On Freddy we agree though.
A rework completely changes something, in this game always for the worse.
A buff makes something stronger, without changing it per say. Like Wraith, his changes were numerical (movement speed). A buff, not a rework.
If that is what you want for Myers, then perhaps it should be taken into account.
"Bubba's one REALLY was necessary though, it was just straigth on annoying the play as him."
Not, it was not.
Bubba's weakness came from his movement speed penalty while charging the chainsaw, and from his add-ons not working properly. This could have been addressed without creating that "charges' system, or whatever the hell they call it
-
All three of those things you mentioned could be removed from the game and I would be okay with it.
-

I'm not so sure about that one, most reworks they did now were pretty helpfull. Like the Bubba, Trapper and Hag one.
We won't talk about Freddy though..
Trapper and Hag were never reworked per say, they received buffs here and there. Some of which were good, some of which were bad, but in essence they are the same killers.
Bubba's was unnecessary. They could have removed his movement speed penalty while charging up his chainsaw, and make his add-ons actually work properly, and he would've been in a good spot. Now he is just annoying to face.
Freddy's is the most atrocious and infuriating change BHVR has ever done.
Reworks are not helpful in the slightest. They are a disease, a type of evil.
I hate all of them.
The Halloween Chapter must stay untouched, for its own sake.

The Silent Hill Chapter, if that counts.
Everything else I despise.

I've gotten used to DDS and RPD luckily i played the remake of RE:2 a lot so i know the map already. I know that's not the case for others but, i mean it doesn't have much variation. You could probably just memorize it until we get the other variations i think i heard were coming
I don't want to see those 2 maps ever again. Same goes for every reworked maps.
I want to forget about their existence.

I'd rather play on haddonfield given the choice tbh, its not as disorienting in chases for me
I am fine with Swamp.
The maps that I really hate are RPD and DDS.
-
I like them.
-
Another lost soul...
I welcome you to the land of exile.
-
I will pass.
Reworks are nothing but downgrades that ruin everything they touch.
And the Halloween chapter, largely responsible for DBD's popularity, must not be ruined.
-
Though question...
I would say the immediate aftermath of Curtain Call's release is what I would call "fair", in DBD.
While some things here and there could have used small adjustments, I would say the game back then had the right amount of strong, intermediate, and weak stuff for both sides.
-
Huntress hitbox "adjustement" and Patch 1.9.2.
-
There once was a (partial) solution:
And I say partial because, even with the Old BT, it was possible to down both Survivors...Still it gave them much more of a chance.
