Like someone said, it feels like he has plot armor.

Or maybe he ended up becoming so top tier that his code is locked behind twelve levels of encryption that the devs are still puzzled as to how it got there.

I hope he gets a balance patch soon.

Imo is mainly because he has a decent amount of good addons that get ran so when the devs look at the data no addon really sticks out as been over used there for there is no problematic addons.

Again this is just my opinion.

Carrying tape survivors increased stack over time already? Or they remove that feature?

    It's going be removed

    • "Holding a Cursed Tape no longer passively builds Condemned."

Don't forget about the new tape changes too

If she could Tp 7 times with no cooldown and then find someone with a tape and hit them twice they would be mori-able.

15 seconds is a bit too long imo but I do agree there needs to be some cooldown

    • Not really even if she teleports 7 times that's only 5.25 and if they are holding a tape then they aren't gaining stacks from her teleporting "Projecting to a TV now applies ¾ of a stack of Condemned to all Survivors not carrying a Cursed Tape (was 1 stack to nearby Survivors)." So you can't teleport and 7 time and find a survivor with a tape if a survivor has a tape then that means you can only teleport 6 times and they aren't gaining condemned.

I'm sorry but explain why it is that one good match means constant borage of nothing but high skill survivors also saying "survivor level doesn't matter" it kinda does the number of times I've entered lobbies and was having to go against a level 100 survivor I'm sorry but no survivor level does matter because it means their extremely skilled so no matter what I will lobby dodge because that survivor level means that oh your going to have a not fun time. I'll even know when I lost if I have four hooks and two gens are left yeah no then I already lost. Out of every possible version of matchmaking the game had here's how I rank them best to worst.

    1. Skill based matchmaking(PTB)

    2. Rank matchmaking

    3. Skill based matchmaking(Live)

I just want to know what happened to Skill based matchmaking because the PTB version was good I faced people my skill level and had fun now all it is, is just countless times as killer high skilled survivors no matter the time of day, how many breaks or even bad marches I have. For survivor it's a mix bag but still at least a good bag I have bad teams but I can get good teams or I get good killers(skill level) or I get killers that just want to slug and camp. Playing killer now is just a massive chore of not trying to get frustrated over how the game thinks "oh yeah he can definitely face a P100, a P78 and two P14". While playing survivor is like a mine field of mainly what type of match am I going to have.

One of the biggest reasons is they balance both roles differently. They seem to want to balance survivor for the casual level but then turn around and balance killer for the higher level of players. This makes it so the casual killer experience is just terrible. Killers are expected to know how to run every tile correctly know every map in and out and have to Mico as well. This is why killers sweat when the role requires you to sweat or get face rolled every game.

Maybe they will focus on the casual killers one day but they haven't in 7 years so....

  • What happens when all 4 are clustered on one side of the map?

Distortion yes. I don’t ever see OTR. It isn’t very good. You might as well just rely on Basekit BT.

OTR gives you 0 sound and blocks auras for 80 seconds and extends bt for 80 seconds as well meaning the kill can't just wait it out. Is pretty strong and I see it frequently and use it all the time.

They mentioned them and specifically pointed out that they were very Survivor favored maps.

And red forest was the worst map and they somehow messed that up and made it worse.

Plus borgo and joy are horrible maps. There track record isn't good lately and wouldn't be surprised if they somehow make the maps worse

I don't know if it is just the maps I've been managing to get or if I am just insane, but it feels like a lot of loops in this game are a struggle to get a hatchet over and that is assuming you can at all. Deathslinger has a hitbox that lets him snipe people through holes in the walls which makes looping more of a challenge. So my question is why not reduce the height of the walls at some loops so they can be thrown over

Alot of the new maps and reworked ones have bad hitboxes and have added alot of extra bs so yeah

i'm sick and tired of wasting my time with it i'm close to just uninstalling.

I'm either matched vs a super try hard with blight or nurse etc in which case even if i was a SWF the chances are i'm not escaping.

Or i'm matched against average try hard killers that are being made to look amazing because two of my team mates are hiding in lockers and the third one hasn't touched a generator the entire game.

So you didn't want to play against good killers or average killers so it sounds like you want to be able to play aginst baby killers you can destroy. Of course the average killer is camping and tunneling they removed any good regression so your average player is going to have to do something to make pressure. Remember dbd is a casual game so when your casual killers lose the thing that was helping make there games fun this is the result. Casual isn't just about survivor there's also casual killers dbd just doesn't cater to them at all.

  • This would just make people play even more scummy. There has been quite a few time I've seen cakes and decided to let everyone live. On the survivor side you would get people sandbagging you just so you get less points.

  • @Jace233 said:

Instead of teleport portals, detection, and exposed mechanics over and over...

Do a grey alien that can mind control survivors and force ur MCed survivor to grab another and hold them their.

Do a wizard that shoots fireballs or frost spells.

You guys need to start being original and make killers that change the status quo or this game is going to nosedive in population because it is getting rather boring.

The problem is the game have very limited mechanics and to do something unique most often then not either breaks the game(nurse) or has to be overly weak or they will break the the game I think knight is a good example not in how he's played but how he was intended to be played.

I haven't had a single match where I haven't been able to get all 4 Scourges.

I've had plenty of matches with 2 tokens left. Also head gens pop right before I've gotten the hook making me waste the PR because I've already committed to that hook and can't get to a different one before they wiggle off.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/374620/how-do-i-not-be-garbage-at-oni-on-controller

The sensitivity setting is the key. I changed it for pretty much every killer, and I think I used 70% for Oni. Also some flicking isn't possible with the controller, due to the dead zones.

You can only do up to a 90 flick right. I'm also on console and I do like oni I just cant seem to hit flicks. I play all but ranged killers on 100% sensitively.

  • @Legobro said:

I'm not sure if everyone else is experiencing this or I'm just bad, but does it seem like it is harder to have fun and succeed at the same time?

It seems like solo survivor is hard af if you get tunneled, have slightly bad teammates, or if they aren't using a few meta perks.

Killer is impossible to get any kills unless you tunnel, camp, or find monotonous meta perks and add-ons for the meta killer.

Meanwhile, whenever I play with just one of my buddies, we can win as long as at least one rando is being pretty consistent with focusing on gennys.

What do you guys think, have you been seeing the same or different, and what do you think the root cause is for this happening?

I made a post well really a rant about bhvr removing fun from the game. With the new maps and reworks it's made playing sniper huntress less viable on more maps, the removal of space Billy stuff like that.

We need stuff that is different idk about you but I would rather try to play for cross maps and cool shot over hitting survivors in animation locks for guaranteed hit.

  • @hailxsatanxeveryxday said:

I hate to admit that I was wrong, because I'd much rather keep being grouchy about all the things I don't like about the new update, but I was.

I had called it a C-tier perk even with the extra 25% regression, but that's really only true if you're playing with it exactly the way you played with old PR (using it as early and as often as you can). You can't spam it constantly anymore, which dramatically limits the kinds of things you can do with it, so it's still definitely a nerf, but.

While it's not an S-tier perk anymore, it's still A-tier or B-tier when used strategically in the right hands, and it's still useful for a few things.

It still pairs well with Deadlock — maybe even better than before. Since the main counter to Deadlock is 99%ing a gen and leaving it alone (and dry kicking doesn't do much since survivors will occasionally make sure to make sure it's tapped), being able to take 25% off of said gen at any point in the game completely counters that strategy.

It still pairs well with DMS, as always.

If you prefer a three-gen strat, you can pair it with Merciless and harass survivors off of gens once they get to 90%, then hook someone for PR value, and THEN come back and kick a gen (the one that was just blocked or a different one) with Pop for extra value.

The key to using new PR successfully is to use it strategically. Don't use it when gens are blocked unless you know what you're doing. Don't hook the first person you down on a Scourge Hook unless you know for a fact that someone else is almost done with a gen. Do pair it with Deadlock and use it when survivors 99% a gen. Do tunnel someone out and save 2-3 stacks for the endgame when survivors are already under pressure.

25% four times (more likely three, if you're playing well) is not anywhere near as useful as 15% an infinite number of times, but it still has a place. Pre-nerf Pain Res was an oppressive general regression perk, but using post-nerf Pain Res in the same way will just result in ~5-10% four times. Now, it's a very situational perk, but you can make some really mean and creative plays with it if you manage to utilize it properly.

I've also used it and I've found it quite meh. The chances of you getting the full 100% or even 75% is really low. The rng can really screw you with both hook spawns and finding a fresh survivors.I would say it's a low b high c. It's a good complimentary perk.

Imo it's not really worth the scourge title anymore.

    Sure, but:

    1) they haven't buffed anti healing in the past couple of patches.

    2) if they did buff an anti healing perk, like, say, making leverage activate for 35 seconds instead of 30, the correct phrasing is 'they buffed an anti healing perk and nerfed self healing'. Calling that 'they buffed all anti healing and nerfed all healing into the ground' is just untrue. It also doesn't make leverage worth running.

My while point is that they nerfed self healing now imagine if in that same patch they also buffed anti heal. That's pretty much what they did with regression not to mention the last 3 chapters have had some kind of gen speed up perk. It's not a one to one example but it's sounds pretty dumb to nerf self healing but buff something like sloppy or Coulrophobia.

    buff gen progression perks

Just so we're clear, you're specifically talking about overzealous. That's literally the only 'gen progress' perk to have been touched in like 6 months.

A perk that, even with a couple rounds of number tweak buffs still requires the survivor to complete 1.6 full generators to break even on the totem time, and is completely hard countered by.... injuring them?

Think of it this way what if the threw a number change on an anti heal perk this up date

  • You said your killer matches have been with weaker survivors on my side I've seen a higher level of survivors. I've had more p100 survivors around the last month like alot more. Survivor matches are still a coin flip sometimes I have god level teammates and sometime they have gen allergies or can't last 15 seconds in chase but I would say the overall quality of teammates seem to have gone up for me.

  • @Zeon_99 said:

If I had the choice to prevent ever facing a single killer, Nemesis would be the easiest choice in the world. No counterplay against a slightly competent Nemesis. Zombies just walking into your loop with no counterplay. Nemesis just holding out his whip when you get to a pallet and always getting value with the hit or with the broken pallet.

"B-but he's low tier" Legion at release was absolutely garbage yet was universally hated for the same reason I hate Nemesis.

"B-but it takes 3 hits to down you" It could take 20 hits to down and every interaction would still be boring.

"Huntress, Deathslinger, and Pyramid Head have projectiles" Huntress and Deathslinger both are 110 speed and is arguably more punishing for the player if they miss a hit. Pyramid Head is 115, but you can actually react to his attack and it takes a few frames to come out.

"Just juke it" No good projectile killer is gonna miss when Survivors press the A and D key. Reacting when movement is so limited is very easy. I used to main Deathslinger when he came out so I know that hitting those shots isnt hard, especially when Nemesis has a lingering hitbox.

"Just crouch behind the loop" Not only does that not always protect you, the Nemesis can just keep his whip out and keeping walking through the loop until you commit to an action. Can't stay crouched forever.

I have like 150 cakes on Nemesis that will stay there forever because I refuse to have such mind numbing chases.

It sounds like your not playing aginst him correctly. If your getting hit at every pallet because hit tentacle is up don't drop the pallet. 9/10 times your going to make another loop. Zombies really shouldn't be a problem because if there that close you need to leave the loop earlier.

  • @Pulsar said:

Kills have gone up by a couple percentage points. I was averaging an 82.4% Kill Rate prior to the patch. I'm at a 86.1% Kill Rate post-patch. Not a huge difference.

My escapes in Solo Q have been fewer and further between. The lack of self-healing really hurt Solo Q

You know we seem to always have the exact opposite experiences because I'm losing way more matches as killer but escaping more often as survivor. I'm not trying to discredit your experience just making an observation.

Fair points. But you didn't answer the question... How have your games been going?

I kind of figured it was obvious but not fun. It feels like the more I try to have fun The worse the game goes. I'm averaging around 6 hooks a game and that's ending up having to sweat for those 6 hooks. Also the pre running is out of control ever time I make it to a gen I see the survivor way off in the distance to the point were if I don't want to play a walking Sim I need to throw the game so I can at least get some chases in.

Disclamer: I'm completely lost and have guilty pleasures that decent people don't bring up in respected society (like I'm OK with Merchant and Twins, I hate Wraith and Legion, etc).

So, imagine you are against killer that play skillfully (no camping/tunneling) and fun (like going for 12 hooks). What the best killer you'd like and enjoy to go fight as survivor, as of today, on 6.7.1:

(for some reason you can only have 10 entries in polls, so I ask you to write it down in comments the oldfashion way)

    • The Trapper
    • The Wraith
    • The Hillbilly
    • The Nurse
    • The Shape (Michael Myers)
    • The Hag
    • The Doctor
    • The Huntress
    • The Cannibal (Leatherface)
    • The Nightmare (Freddy Krueger)
    • The Pig (Amanda Young)
    • The Clown
    • The Spirit
    • The Legion
    • The Plague
    • The Ghostface
    • The Demogorgon
    • The Oni
    • The Deathslinger
    • The Executioner
    • The Blight
    • The Twins
    • The Trickster
    • The Nemesis
    • The Cenobite
    • The Artist
    • The Onryō
    • The Dredge
    • The Mastermind
    • The Knight
    • The Skull Merchant

Huntress now I maybe a little bias as I'm a Huntress main but I love trying to juke hatches. Also any stealth killers just because I like that jump scare moment when they just pop up.

  • @Unimatrix00 said:

I can say with certainty that I am getting far fewer kills per trial. I went from getting 2-4k to now maybe getting 1 kill, if I'm really lucky.

As a survivor it isn't so bad, I escape more than I get kills as the killer. The only thing I've noticed that seems to be a bit worse is teammates doing fudge all while I'm the one trying to get gens done and all that jazz.

    How are you finding it?

That's what happens when you nerf all the gen regression but leave and then buff gen progression perks. At this point there is no way to stop gens from been done the best you can do is block them for a short time but that 80% gen is still 80% when it gets unblocked.

  • If an fov slider would be such a game breaking up date how come I never see shadowborn? Arguing that having a bigger fov would break balance you think almost ever killer would be running shadowborn for the huge advantage it gives.

Yeah because they're dumb, that doesn't mean it's normal. They made bubba, a killer that can facecamp super well, that doesn't mean facecamping is a normal or healthy or good way to play that should be encouraged

Bubba power isn't designed to facecamp but his power design allows him to. It's an unintended side effect while stealth killers like wraith and onryo are designed to use hit and run. Huntress, myres,Trickster are all good at face camping as well does that mean they are designed to do so?

  • @DyingWish92 said:

Well eventually one day this add on will be nerfed? Right? Right? Lol

Curious what would people replace tombstone with or rework it to. I think an add on that gives him like pallet shredding (like 40% or 50% faster pallet break) in tier 3 or give him a token or 2 of PWYF while in tier 3 would be great. Still being relatively strong but not broken like immediatly murdering someone. Also Judith's Tombstone can stay because HE HAS to bring PWYF for that one to work and has to stalk longer.

What would you guys make Tombstone piece into if it was reworked entirely.

Well I just watched a otz video and apparently according to the devs Myers is fine and they are happy with his performance.

So I wouldn't get your hopes up because according to the devs tombstone is fine.

  • I didn't understand how people can't except that just because it's an accessibility option doesn't mean it's not a buff.

I've turned it on and have been using it ever since and I don't have a disability but I can see the HB before I hear the TR 9/10 tike. I've also seen just about ever streamer use it and they didn't have hearing disability.

My biggest issue is survivor's have gotten a bunch of accessibility updates but 0 have been to killer. What about people that are hard of hearing and have to practically be right on top of a gen to hear it or has trouble hearing an injured survivor f them because they play killer and go play something else?

  • Because it's about the little thing that male this game fun. I had a Feng that game me her item and started acting cute so I spared her and 2 of her teammate one was tbagging at every pallet and clicky.......clicking me so they died. I was chasing one of the teammate for theee second hook and ran into Fang in the middle of the room head banging.

Okay but tbh... I don't play survivor but pre running is a viable strategy

I'm not saying it not viable it's just boring to play aginst because a killer can't take that chase because it would be throwing the game and now with pretty much no regression that gen stays at what it was. If you pre ran before ruin or overbrine would regress the gen. Now you just run early and come back to the gen at the same progress.

Syringe used to heal a dying survivor to healthy in half a second. Styptic heal an injured to healthy in half a second. So yes, they were nerfed once.

Syringe now self healing without do the healing action, except the self healing from 16sec to 24sec, which also affect Syringe that takes 24sec to auto heal, not 16sec. So yes, its nerfed twice.

Have you done any SM art? I would love to see your take on her

  • @NovaKane said:

So I guess holding M1 on a gen forever wasn't enough to BHVR. Now hold M1 on a medkit heal for 24 seconds. Oh, dont forget about the overuse of Sloppy Butcher now. I agree that medkits needed a nerf, but this is a joke having to spend 24-30 seconds healing with a medkit. All the medkits in the past were OP, so keep them how they are now but make them 16 second self heals. Iron Will is trash and so is DH. A killer just tunnels and camps to prevent all Dead Hards. Healing is more necessary than ever now without DH. Stealth killers and Spirits are out in full force knowing that the easy hit on an injured survivor is guaranteed.

Alright, let's hear all the git gud nonsense rather than say something worthwhile.

I hate to break it to you but 90% of survivor gameplay is holding m1, doing gens, healing, unhooking, cleansing, opening chest survivor gameplay is boring in general and could use some kind of new mechanic or gameplay element(not a perk) that doesn't involve just hold m1 tell bar fills.

yeah, why not give her 2 drones while left 1 gen ? now its impossible avoid the tri gen strategy as soloQ

Putting drones around gens is really the only way to get any value from her even when your using then for chase you only need 1 so you need to something with the other 3.

I've also noticed survivors 3 gening themselves alot lately. Most my wins have came at 1 gen because the survivors just blew through gen and left me with a nasty 3 gen.

  • i was chasing a injured nea on disturbed ward and i cut her off as she ran into the open while i had a hatchet cocked she must have seen the future because the moment i relesed it she stopped and looked right at me. there was a moment where we both knew what was going to happen and all i heard in my head was man im dead.

Yeah its time for a rant i have had some pretty boring games where i either dont get chases at all or i do and the team just collapses in solo que. Ok well… this game however was vs a skull merchant which i already wanted out but i was gonna play through it. She sent us to lerys. She had third seal which hmm ok. I went down because i just had nothing to work with. Ok that happens. She goes to hook me and then she drops me and then just leaves me there. No one was around btw so it wasnt like she did it because someone was trying to sabo. She had already left claudette slugged across the map earlier. They got her up before i went down. Then she managed to slug everyone and i couldnt find any of my teammates to pick me up because of hex third seal.

I finally got picked up after almost my entire bleed out timer was gone but it didnt matter as the jill was being chased by her and as i got picked up the skull merchant just went right back for me to force the bleed out.

The skull merchant wasnt some baby killer they were prestige 32 and clearly they were just there to ruin our game.

This isnt the first time i have played vs this, however the past times i have i was in a swf so we managed to counter it but in solo que? Yeah there is really nothing you can do

so tell me what was I supposed to do? And why are players just allowed to just make the games miserable as possible for the other side

And a little side note. Bhvr, no one likes this killer. People dc or hook suicide vs her. Shes got one of the most uninspiring, boring designs that the community dislikes yet you sat there and doubled downed on her and gave her a tome instead of giving it to an older killer that people actually like such as oni. Thats disgraceful

Honestly the best thing you can do imo is just walk away for 4 minutes. Grab something to eat or drink, use the restroom. It's still frustrating but I feel it helps if youe not sitting there watching it happen the whole time.

I think BBQ is fine where it is now I just wish they never removed the bp bonus incentive you got for hooking each individual survivor. Maybe the bp bonus could be replaced with faster progress to shards or rift xp 🤔

I would say it's decent but could use a little buff. I don't think they would do something like that especially since there's not always a tome plus there pretty easy to complete imo.

The best stall has always been quick chases. Quick chases = more pressure = other survivors get less time on gens.

This is why the first chase is so important.

This isn't possible with most of the roster how do you get quick downs at the start with:trapper, doctor,Myers, pig,onryo...

M1 killers don't have early pressure and perks like jolt,PR only proc after your building pressure but by then you've already lost 3 gens and at least are 50%. It why passive regression is important for lower to mid killers because they have to have time to build pressure.

Yeah I'm with you 100%. I'm not even console and I literally just throw or a perks on and you go for a hatchets. And pain res if I'm feeling spiffy. The new map reworks are atrocious, and the other day when I played I had indoor maps three times in a row then the new reworked maps with the stupid new bloxkers four times in a row, was absolutely painful.

So the hit boxes are a result of both how survivor hitboxes are shaped, butbmainly latency. As a huntress mean even I think that the hit boxes are BS sometimes and sometimes I think myself wow that really shouldn't have hit. But that being said she is THE balanced killer of the game. Her kit, her add-onsz her counterplay - everything. She has a decent floor ceiling and skill floor, and has well defined counterplay.

But these blockers were completely unnecessary and really didn't help anything other than preventing trick shots that take away from her kit and skill ceiling. If you're a looping around a bush on red forest for instance, she was almost never going to aim her hatchet at you, because those weren't tiles she can throw over, she was just going m1 you anyways. This new tiles didn't change that, looping at close range, it essentially is just nerfing SOME long range hatchets which are HARD and completely skillful to pull off in the first place, which I don't even remember anyone ever even complaining about (this is DBD so I'm sure there are).

I do belive she's the best balanced killer in the game. I don't think alot of people don't realize how bad it feels to loop normally as a 110 killer. Those bushes even without a pallet can take her ages just to get the m1 and there's nothing else to do other then just drop chase.

I don't even care if they 4 man as long as I got some good shots but when 90% of the match I'm playing m1 huntress because I cant hit over anything or there's so much bs on the map I can't throw a hatchet more then 5ft it hurts my soul.
